I was raised a military brat , still get tears in my eyes when the band plays in the parade . we stood on the pier , so little , watching closely to recognize our Dad as the submarine pulled into port with all it's men standing attention on the deck .To this day if I see it in a movie I cry like a baby , we learned Patriotism first hand .Lived at Fort Bragg when guys I knew from high school were coming back from Vietnam , 65,000 sad soldiers . Some times they couldn't afford an $.85 beer and I would chip in . ( I was a waitress ) My grandfather was wounded in World War 2 in France , a German Doctor saved his life . He spent a year in the hospital at Camp Edwards on Cape Cod , my Grandmother traveled down here to visit him from Northern Maine . REMEMBER OUR VETERANS !
