Berekum Chelsea'S INCONSISTENT LEAGUE FORM BOTHERING TECHNICAL TEAM. Berekum Chelsea’s assistant coach Annoh Walker admits the side’s inconsistencies this season is proving a real concern for the technical team. Chelsea have also suffered a surprised 1-0 home defeat to newly promoted club Amidaus Professionals despite being the only side to beat Asante Kotoko this season. Berekum Chelsea 2-0 Asante Kotoko: Blues halt Porcupine Warriors’ unbeaten run Berekum Chelsea have brought to an end Asante Kotoko’s unbeaten run in the 2012-13 Ghana Premier League season after a 2-0 win at the Golden City Park on Sunday. Jordan Opoku and Eric Bekoe, both former players of the defending champions, got their names on the score sheet to give the 2012 Caf Champions League losing finalists a 2-0 victory. Chelsea have now amassed 24 points after their 12th game this season, moving them to the summit as Aduana Stars, who were then leading the table, drew 1-1 with Accra giants Hearts of Oak on Matchday-12. Kotoko, Ghana’s representatives in next year’s Caf Champions League, are now fifth on the log and have put their title defence in a shaky position with three games to end the first round of the domestic top flight.
Kofi Nti Boakye’s goal on the stroke of halftime ended Medeama's five-game unbeaten run in the Ghana top flight. The Kumasi-based club have now moved to the fourth place on the log and the victory puts them at a pole position to send a strong signal to Hearts of Oak that their next league meeting with them will not be easy. Boakye headed home from a Richard Mpong free kick in the 45th minute to ensure Ghana’s representatives in the next edition of the Caf Champions League gain their second win under coach Mas-Ud Dramani. Kotoko’s next game is against rivals Hearts of Oak on November 18 in Kumasi.

Chelsea however find themselves in the group of death after being drawn on Tuesday against former champions; Al Ahly, Zamalek and TP Mazembe. But Boivin who experienced the ruthless effect of the Berekum-based club believes the Blues have what it takes to progress from the tough group. “I think they can go far because they have a good team with good quality,” he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.
