The False Gospel of Rick Warren, Rob Bell, Brian Mclaren and Steve Chalke talk by Gary Gilley - Part 1
As such, I don’t think Steve Chalke, Brian Mclaren, Tony Campolo, Rob Bell and co are reading the Bible through a Jesus lens, as much as they are reading Jesus through a selective, progressive postmodern lens, and then reading the rest of the Bible through that. The end result, ironically, is that while the Jesus we find in the Gospels fits well with the rest of the scriptures – as you might expect, given that he inspired them – neither the Jesus of the Gospels, nor the Bible, fit particularly well with the pastiche of Jesus that the Red Letter guys want to promote.
A REVIEW OF: THE POBLEM WITH GOD (Why Atheists, True Believers, and Even Agnostics Must All Be Wrong) I have decided to close 2013 by reviewing the very last book I have read this year. This one is a real classic and masterpiece on the perennial subject of GOD - A subject that has captured the human imagination for millennia. I have read THE BEST ON GOD: Hans Kung, John Macquarrie, Marcus Borg, John Spong, Matthew Fox, Paul Tillich, J.A Robinson, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Rob Bell, Don Cupitt, Lloyd Geering, Karen Armstrong, Karl Barth, Richard Rohr, Pete Rollins, Diana Butler-Bass, Phyllis Tickle, Brian Mclaren, Pete Enns, Dominic Crossan, Robert Wright, Bart Ehrman, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennet and many other Professional writers on the subject of God. Professor Peter Steinberger is just a dessert cherry on top of a wonderful "God buffet". My personal quest gained momentum after an Epiphany I had on 17 August 2007; that was after I had just completed Prof. Richard Dawkins book, THE GOD DELUS ...
Watch out for these wolves in sheep's clothing who are major players in the Emergent Church movement. They bring another gospel and another jesus that the apostle Paul warned of in Galatians 1:6-9 and said they are accursed. Rick Warren, Mark Driscoll, Bob Buford, Peter Drucker, Brian Mclaren, Rob Bell, Tony Jones, Bill Hybels, Robert Schuller, Francis Chan, David Platt.
By Marcia Montenegro, 23 May 2013 Why discuss Franciscan priest Richard Rohr? Is it simply because of his ties to Emergents and to New Age philosophy? No, it's because young people are being influenced by the Emergents, who are increasingly endorsing and promoting syncretists like Richard Rohr and Matthew Fox. Also, the heresies promoted by these teachers can be subtle, and pastors, parents, teachers in the church, and others need to be aware of this and know how to recognize it. Introduction Richard Rohr, the Franciscan priest who runs the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, NM, has a wide audience through his teachings at the Center, through those who admire him, and his books. Many of the emergents like Brian Mclaren and Rob Bell admire him. There are three major points of his teaching that are found in some current mystics and in the New Age: 1.    The True Self vs. the False Self 2.    A distinction made between Jesus and the Christ 3.    Panentheism In an interview posted on ...
Brian Mclaren, Steve Chalke, Rob Bell, and now Jim Wallis are all in favour of redefining marriage. Who's next, I wonder?
I’m seriously starting to wonder if Dallas Willard gets irritated when Rob Bell, Brian Mclaren, etc. appeal to his books.
If your pastor has Rob Bell and Brian Mclaren books in his "Good Theology" section, time to

Folks like Rob Bell and Brian Mclaren (I don't know Tony Jones from Adam) have an opposite orientation from Ehrman.
The son of author and speaker Brian Mclaren, who is often identified as part of the controversial Emergent Church, married his same-sex partner this past weekend.
“Not only is “The Shack’s” god suspiciously similar to the one described in the books of the more liberal branch of the emerging church (e.g., Rob Bell, Donald Miller, Brian Mclaren), it also has a strong kinship to the New Age god promoted by Oprah Winfrey. Her gospel is that man is not a sinner, God is not a judge, all is well with the universe, and I just need to surrender to the flow. Her message is the celebration of self. She grew up in a traditional Baptist church, but she has reinterpreted the Bible and moved beyond its restrictions. She says, “As I study the New Age movement, it all seems to say exactly what the Bible has said for years, but many of us were brought up with a restricted, limited understanding of what the Bible said” (“The Gospel according to Oprah,” Vantage Point, July 1998).” ~ David Cloud
