By Chris Huston December 1, 2013, 8:50 PM EST Florida State and Ohio State 1-2 in penultimate BCS rankings Florida State has moved up to No. 1 and Ohio State to No. 2 in the latest BCS rankings released on Sunday. It’s FSU’s first time atop the BCS standings since the 1999 season, when it last won a national championship. The Seminoles has a combined score of .9948 and can clinch their first BCS title game berth since 2000 if they can defeat No. 20 Duke in the ACC title game this coming Saturday. The latest odds show that FSU is close to a five-touchdown favorite over the Blue Devils. The Buckeyes (.9503) survived against Michigan to remain undefeated, enabling them to beat out No.3 Auburn (.9233), which knocked off former No. 1 Alabama in dramatic fashion yesterday. If Ohio State beats Michigan State in the Big Ten title game next Saturday,it will likely take on FSU in Pasadena for the BCS national title on Jan. 6. Standing in the way of Auburn’s claim to the SEC title —and a possible BCS title gam ...
Duke is 7-2.  The Blue Devils end their season with Miami, at Wake Forest, and at North Carolina.  Duke can win each game.  What? David Cutcliffe is the greatest coach since, well, Steve Spurrier.  Spurrier is the last coach to lead the Blue Devils to an ACC championship. Wednesday, November 13 is a big day for the MAC.  Ball State (9-1) visits Northern Illinois(9-0).  The Huskies have an outside chance of making the Bowl Championship Series’ games. Undefeated Baylor gets their first meaningful win this week and defeats Oklahoma convincingly.  Oregon loses to Stanford.  Alabama destroys a good LSU team. 1.  Alabama (Texas A&M, LSU) 1.  Baylor (Oklahoma) 1.  Florida State (Clemson) 1.  Ohio State (Wisconsin) 5.  Auburn (Loss to LSU) 5.  Clemson (Loss to Florida State) 5.  Michigan State (Loss to Notre Dame) 5.  Missouri (Loss to South Carolina) 9.  Central Florida (Loss to South Carolina) 9.  Louisville (Loss to Central Florida) 9.  Oklahoma State (Loss to West Virginia) 9.  Oregon ( ...
College Basketball Power Rankings: 1. Duke: Eventually the polls will realize how for real this team is we believe this is quickly becoming one of the best teams Mike Krzyzewski ever coached. 2. Indiana: They don't have the resume that Duke does, then again no-one does, but they are just as good. It is very close right now, but Indiana will have the tougher schedule down the stretch 3. Florida: Florida will have a chance to prove themselves this saturday as they match up against Arizona one of the biggest games so far this year. 4. Michigan: They still haven't been truly tested, no worries though they have plenty of though matchups to go 5. Ohio State: Why so high you ask because their only loss is to the Blue Devils in a game that could have gone either way they are very strong right now. 6. Syracuse: Why so low well their signature win was against SDSU not enough for me to put them any higher. 7. Kansas: Why again well why not to put them behind Arizona, who has yet to play a ranked oppenent let alone a ...

Duke will get a chance to avenge a lopsided loss to Ohio State as the Blue Devils host the Buckeyes in an ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wed., Nov. 28, at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. Aaron Craft vs. Duke Ohio State took an 85-63 win over Duke in a Challenge match-up on Nov. 29 at Value City Arena. That game matched up No. 2-ranked Ohio State with No. 3 Duke in arguably the biggest nonconference game in the 14-year history of VCA. Exact game times for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be set at a later date, but the OSU-Duke match-up is almost certain to air in a prime spot on ESPN. Duke has four starters back from a 27-7 team that fizzled down the stretch with three losses in its last four games. The capper was a 75-70 loss to 15th-seeded Lehigh in an NCAA second-round tournament game – in Greensboro, N.C., no less. That was certainly an early exit for a Duke program just two years removed from its latest national title under Mike Krzyzewski. Guard Austin Rivers is leaving Durham after one year for th ...
