Bill Murray & Groundhog Day
William James Bill Murray (born September 21, 1950) is an American actor and comedian. Groundhog Day (Deutsch: Murmeltiertag) is a day celebrated on February 2. According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early./5

"Groundhog Day" too. You remember that Bill Murray comedy movie?
Alrighty folks, first off a I want to wish everyone a happy father's day that's applicable to be wished a happy father's day. Now with that out of the way, time to talk about "Edge of Tomorrow" which I finally got around to seeing the other day in a D-Box enabled 3D theater! At first I wasn't too keen to see "Edge of Tomorrow" but the more trailers I watched the more I got interested and when the overwhelmingly positive reviews starting coming out I figured I needed to check it out. SO what did I think of Tom Cruise's latest attempt to stay relevant as an action hero??? It's good, perhaps very good, with a great time traveling gimmick that I can only remember being used in one other movie. The other movie? The classic Bill Murray staring comedy "Groundhog Day" of course! So in short "Edge of Tomorrow" is basically a combination of "Groundhog Day" and "Starship Troopers" with elements of the video game series Halo and some mech suit and creature designs borrowed from "Matrix Revolutions." Normally giving a ...
Movie Review: "Edge of Tomorrow" - If you like aliens, Emily Blunt, Tom Cruise, and time travel this movie is for you. Having sat through this movie with Dustin Ryan Mascorro, We can honestly say the first thing that came to our mind was a mash up of Warhammer 40K Space Marines and Bill Murray's "Groundhog Day." The film for all intents and purposes is a popcorn action flick, designed to kill an hour and a half of your time with some pretty lights, gunfire, and Emily Blunt doing yoga. Which, with the military discount, it's not a bad way to spend $7.50 on a Saturday. If you're a film snob, like myself, you'll not want to see this film with ultra high expectations. Take it at face value, enjoy looking at Emily Blunt, and enjoy the montages and predictable plot. I give this movie a solid 2 out of 5 stars.
As you may have heard, the new Tom Cruise movie is basically an alien-invasion Groundhog Day, in which our hero must live the same day over and over again, trying to do it a little better each time. But whereas the Harold Ramis–Bill Murray classic is a comic meditation on...
The new sci-fi flick Edge of Tomorrow is basically a sci-fi rip-off of Groundhog Day, but with more Tom Cruise and less Bill Murray. And somehow, it manages to establish itself as one of the best movies about a video game, ever.
Making small talk with my hair stylist's assistant I mentioned that we were planning on going to see The Edge of Tomorrow tonight and that it looked like a sci-fi Groundhog Day with aliens. She didn't know what Groundhog Day was. I was like... Bill Murray? Andy Macdowell? He relives the same day over and over?.. She just kept shaking her head like nope. Whattt?.
So sounds like the new Tom Cruise film is Groundhog Day without Bill Murray and with more of a budget.

Did You Know that Billy Murray was once considered for. Role: Han Solo No joke! Long before Bill Murray's famous Star Wars lounge act on Saturday Night Live, George Lucas was originally considering him for the role of Han Solo in 1977's Episode IV: A New Hope. Wow. This would have been a completely different movie! I can kind of see Murray's cockiness working for the role, but no... no, nevermind, I really can't picture this no matter how hard I try. I will say though that the famous Cantina scene where Han shoots Greedo would have been amazing with Murray in the driver's seat... imagine Murray calling his name a la "Ned Ryerson?" from Groundhog Day before blowing him away. There would have been absolutely no question as to who shot first! Okay, you know what? I've changed my mind... Bill Murray as Han Solo would have been an awesome casting choice. Who got the part: Harrison Ford (who was a carpenter for Lucas at the time he was discovered). Other actors in consideration for the role were Kurt Russell, A ...

I filled out my TM 2 today. For my non-Foreign Service friends, that is a step in a moving to a new assignment. I got a great new job as senior international adviser at Smithsonian and I will be glad to be back home in the U.S., but I will miss Brazil. It has been a great three years. I arrived at a perfect time, had many great opportunities to got to work with great partners. I am using the word "great" too much, but it has been great. One of my favorite movies is Groundhog Day where the main character, played by Bill Murray, repeats the same day, over and over, until he gets it right. Maybe I read too much into a mere movie, but as I see it it is a metaphor for life in general and our Foreign Service in particular. We go to different places, but use the same skill sets and do mostly the same things. We improvise, adapt and improve, but at the end of even the most successful assignment we see to our sorrow all the things left undone. We resolve to do better next time. Then we do it again. Gro ...
I just want to take a second to remember a very funny actor and comedian that we lost. I feel like he did not get the recognition he so truly deserves. With that being said here is my goodbye to one of the all time greats. Harold Ramis passed away on feb 24 2014. You all may not know him by his real name, most just referred to him as Egon. Harold acted, directed, written or, stared in some all time classics. Films that made you laugh and cry. Moives that you could not wait to see again or still to this day own. Great Moives that people can still repeat lines too in everyday conversation. Moives like Knocked Up, As Good as It Gets, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Stripes, Animal House, Year One, The Office, The Ice Harvest, Analyze This, Analyze That, National Lampoon's Vacation, Groundhog Day, and the great caddyshack. Harold Ramis, 'Ghostbusters' writer, co-star, dead at 69 CHICAGO - Comic actor, director and writer Harold Ramis died Monday in Chicago after a long battle with autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, TMZ reported. He was 69. Ramis wrote the screenplay for the 1978 comedy "Animal House" and then went on to write hit comedies starring Bill Murray including "Meatballs" (1979), "Caddyshack" (1980), "Stripes" (1981), "Ghostbusters" (1984), "Groundhog Day" (1993) and "Analyze This" (1999). He also acted in and served as producer on "Meatballs," "Stripes" and "Ghostbusters." He was a humor editor for Playboy magazine before joining Chicago's groundbreaking Second City comedy improv company in 1969. He was head writer for "SCTV," produced in Canada, which starred Martin Short, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, John Candy, Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty and Rick Moranis. What a talent, what a career, what a man. (Y) (Y)
Comedy writer and director Harold Ramis made us laugh with "Groundhog Day" and "Caddyshack" and thrilled us with "Ghostbusters". Trained by Chicago's Second City improv troupe, he often worked with fellow Chicagoan Bill Murray. Ramis passed away on Monday. This 1984 "Ghostbusters" game in our collection was played on the Commodore 64 computer. It was designed by David Crane, who also was also the designer of "Pitfall!" The Commodore Plus/4 pictured here was introduced in 1984 and was a more powerful sequel to the 64. It was billed as the "productivity computer with software built in":
Harold Ramis, star of 'Ghostbusters', dies at the age of 69 CHICAGO: An attorney for Harold Ramis has said that the actor has died. Fred Toczek has told The Associated Press that Ramis died early on Monday morning from complications of autoimmune inflammatory disease. He was 69. Ramis is best known for his roles in the comedies "Ghostbusters" and "Stripes". According to Biography.com, Ramis co-wrote "Ghostbusters", in which he appeared with fellow Second City alums Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray. The website says he also co-wrote "National Lampoon's Animal House" and "Meatballs" and directed such films as "Caddyshack" and "Groundhog Day".
Ghostbusters star, Ramis, dies aged 69 Actor and director Harold Ramis, best known for the films Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, has died aged 69. He died of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels, his agent told the BBC. The star found fame as bespectacled ghost-hunter Egon Spengler in the Ghostbusters franchise in 1984. But he was also a talented writer and director, whose credits included Caddyshack and Animal House. “His creativity, compassion, intelligence, humour and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him,” said his family in a statement. The star had reportedly been quiet about his illness, which dated back to 2010. But several friends are said to have visited him recently, including Bill Murray from whom he had been estranged for years, the Chicago Tribune said. Billy Crystal, who starred in the director’s mobster comedies Analyze This and Analyze That, wrote: “Sad to hear my friend Harold Ramis passed away. “A brillian ...

Not surprised by Bill Murray's mechanical and brief statement re: Harold Ramis. Apparently their "Groundhog Day" rift never healed.
RIP Harold Ramis. I watched Groundhog Day almost as many times as Bill Murray lived it.
Since Harold Ramis has passed... I'm feeling as if we need to have a Movie Night soon... Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Stripes, Ghostbusters II... basically a Bill Murray Movie Night.
Favorite apocryphal Harold Ramis story: Bill Murray was ticking off cast and crew over and over again on Groundhog Day. Finally Harold pulled him off to the side and punched BM in the stomach. "Hey! Why'd you do that?" Murray is said to have asked. "Because you're being an *** -- and I'm the only one who can do this." "Got it," Murray's said to have said.
Serious for just a moment-although nobody's awake to read this. Harold Ramis passed away today as we all know by now. He directed my all-time favorite movie, the Bill Murray tour-de-force, Groundhog Day. Here's the deal-I can relate on many levels-as should/could all of us. The getting up every day, stuck in a rut. The deeper meaning has this movie being used by religious and business types because, as you'll remember, Bill Murray's character mastered many different skills (playing piano, etc)-and to become competent at something the general consensus is that 10,000 hours are in order. Thereby, this film spans, based upon that theory, thousands of years! And yet, each "day" Bill learned a new skill. Genesis tells of God creating the world in 6 days and then resting. Yet-each day could've been millenia for all we know in practical terms. Lotsa allegorical possibilities there . . . and yet, an amazingly entertaining film. That's all.
Liam Neeson is making the same movie over and over again like the movie Groundhog Day, but without Bill Murray.
Tonight the world lost one of it's quietest and most influential stars of the 80's movie world. A genre shaping, schedule busting, expectation shattering comedic powerhouse who wrote amazing scripts, had the foresight to cast great talent and the humility to let them create within his framework, which as an artist is a hard thing to do (build a world and then let someone else paint the walls). He co-wrote Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters as well as many more from the 80's through to modern times, helped create the legendary iconic status of John Belushi and Bill Murray, and kept Dan Aykroyd in crystal skulls for his weird vodka. He directed one of my favorite movies of ALL TIME Groundhog Day where a horrible excuse of a human being Bill Murray (he plays that role a lot) is forced to relive a terrible day in a lame small town until he finds a way to connect to the world again. it's a lot sweeter than the previews and the initial story make it out to be and it's a story worth watching. Haro . ...
today, Harold Ramis died. He said to never cross the streams. He was never afraid to take samples of the ectoplasm. He designed the ghost traps and handeled the petty cash. He also banged Janine the secretary. He also got Bill Murray into a bunch of trouble in Stripes. He wrote half the script to Animal House, and some of Caddyshack. He wrote skits for SNL when they were funny. He directed Groundhog Day and some of the cool chickflicks guys watch with their girls and actually laugh at. He was a good piece of American comedy and I just wanted to say that I think it's really sad he died. I wish more boring people would die.
We all can agree, I am sure, that Groundhog Day was the greatest movie ever made. And now that man who co wrote, produced and directed it, died today. I feel great sadness over the passing of Harold Ramis. He also did Caddy Shack and some other stuff with Bill Murray, etc, but certainly Groundhog Day was his greatest accomplishment. My condolences to his family.
Is it really just me and Bill Murray that hate "Groundhog Day"? At least I'm in good company ... RIP, Mr. Ramis, I do like many of your other movies ...
Harold Ramis taught me comedy. He was brilliant in directing Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, & Analyze This to name a very few. Every time I watched Ghostbusters, or Stripes, I watched this honest, insanely funny dude go toe to toe with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd and straight man the *** out of them. He wrote so much. His pacing was incredible and his timing was perfect. I never met him, but if I had, I would have probably just stared and fan girled out. Simply the best sir, thank you for everything. Glitter to you
WhatCulture's Simon Gallagher investigates just how many days Bill Murray's Phil spends stuck in Groundhog Day
They had the script, he had the cast, he was invited to the city of Woodstock, Il, and he saw the square, the downtown, and he knew he found his location for the movie. And so it was that "Groundhog Day" was filmed in our town, and every year they have a groundhog day celebration, to remember how our town became Pauxotawny for the movie. And this director came to love the town, not far from his suburban Chicago home, and on a couple of occasions, he even came to celebrate the special day in Woodstock. Harold Ramis was a brilliant filmaker when it came to comedy, and he never forgot those that he worked with and learned from when he started his career. Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, Joe Flaherty and John Candy from Second City, Bill Murray who he made several films with, and his family, who he was always able to spend time with. For all of his success and stardom, he was still the Chicago area guy who never left his roots. Next time you watch "Groundhog Day", look at the square, it still looks the same, a ...
RIP Harold Ramis (November 21st 1944---February 24 2014). Such a sad day for the film industry, and the Comedy industry to boot. Ramis was truly one of a kind as a writer/director/producer, always relying on the actors in his films heavily, allowing them to express their creativity. Working with the likes of Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Robin Williams, Rodney Dangerfield and countless others, Ramis understood that the comedic lead had to to dictate the pace of his films. While Ramis' films themselves stand out, such as Caddyshack, Stripes, Vacation, Animal House, Club Paradise, Meatballs, Groundhog Day, and of course Ghostbusers, but perhaps it was his work on SCTV as a head writer, that was more important than anything he has ever done, due to all the careers the show launched, such as Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Joe Flaherty, Dave Thomas and of course, John Candy. Ramis has influenced many comedy writers in his time, and his legacy will continue to do so.
Watching you retards do this everyday is like *** Groundhog Day with Ben Stiller instead of Bill Murray.
Groundhog Day is a hysterical movie starring Bill Murray. The plot is that he is forced to relive the same day, until he finds a way to break the cycle. And, from what I have seen, the Idaho Legislature likes to recycle bad bills year after year; the Idaho Legislature is Groundhog Day Part Deux . Al...
It so feels like time to start my life over. Every morning I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.
-32℃. As Bill Murray's doppelgänger I am stuck in the same very cold winter day repeating endlessly day after day a la Groundhog Day. HELP!!
Bill Murray is a badass. Though now known for his roles in such classic films as Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, and Stripes, Murray first got his start as a castmember on SNL. Who could forget his classic Nick The Lounge Singer bit? Some of these Bill Murray stories are legend, and some may have...
Downtown Akron had some curious happenings around lunch today ... first, I was behind a car with the vanity plate "BSPEARS" and a sticker that said, "Got Britney?" Must be a huge fan to pay for that plate. Then I tried to back into a parking spot on South Main. I actually did it in less than 5 tries, but when I went to see the space's number so I could put the money in the meter, I couldn't find the number anywhere. I finally found a sign that said that space, and the one next to it, were reserved for funeral directors. Argh!! Then I saw a young man hand a just-bought sub to a homeless man trying to get out of the wind in a doorway. Kind of like Bill Murray feeding the homeless man soup in "Groundhog Day", which I had just watched.
In honor of this week's Groundhog Day, let's all take a minute to remember the National Treasure that is Bill Murray.
GIBSON GLEANINGS Barbara Ray February 4, 2014 Well, it looks like the groundhog got it right this year and winter will be around for another six weeks. My husband and I celebrated Groundhog Day with a special breakfast and caught a live broadcast of the groundhog’s arrival on the news. Later we sat back and watched Bill Murray in one of his best movies “Groundhog Day”. I also heard there was a football game being televised from New Jersey later that day but we missed that – we only get one channel on our TV. Whatever your feelings on winter, just remember, spring is just around the corner!! The other really big news this week is our Annual Valentine Auction which takes place this Thursday, February 6th and as I’ve mentioned before this event is a major fundraiser for the Gibson Center. The auction will be held at the White Mountain Hotel & Resort in Hales Location off West Side Road. Once again the businesses in our area have been most generous with their donations to our fundraiser. Our ...
Roache speech reminded me a lot of Bill Murray quoting Chekov in Groundhog Day. Just as contrived, very much a self-serving monologue
Morning again? Time to clean, cook and write. In that order. Again. Sometimes I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.
Bill Murray spent quite a lot of time in this home, or so it seemed in the 1993 movie “Groundhog Day.” The Victorian house was featured in the film as the suburban bed-and-breakfast where
In case you didn’t know, February 2nd is Groundhog Day. And to celebrate the momentous American holiday that inspired the bloody brilliant Bill Murray film of the same name, as well as the movie itself, we’re going to answer one of the most asked questions in cinematic history:
More snow and cold... it's beginning to feel like "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray. .
Now don't let today's blizzard influence your answer. READER POLL: On Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter. Do you agree with the world's most famous rodent? • Yes • No • I'd rather ask Bill Murray. Vote at www.osceolaiowa.com

It seems like almost every day someone approaches me and asks, “How long did Bill Murray spend trapped in the film Groundhog Day?” And I always say, “Hmmm, that's not the most timely of questions, but I'll do my best to answer it.” Actually, Ground…
Sunday is Groundhog Day! When was the last time you watched the Bill Murray movie “Groundhog Day”?
The granddaughters have never seen Groundhog Day with Bill Murray so we're all getting together tonight to watch it. Delayed because of Super Bowl yesterday. Should be fun. On the menu.Groundhog Stroganoff.hope it's delicious because have you seen the price of fresh groundhog lately?
A quick drop of English pop culture for you! Yesterday, Feb 2nd, was Groundhog Day here. Of course I had to watch again the movie Groundhog Day, with Bill Murray. But, do you know more about this American folklore? It is the seasonal opposite of Halloween. It happens in bettwen the Winter Solstice and the Sprong Equinox, and as Halloween, has its origins in the pagan culture. Read more about this here learn more about related nursery rhymes, here: :)
So...I just watched the Human Nature / Family of Blood episodes (because, of course, I'm secretly in love with Tennant). This was sort of a bad idea, because... 1. I still have nightmares from whichever episode involved what I can only remember as giant nutcracker aliens who tick like clocks trying to kill the French princess. 2. I am already terrified of little girls (must be too many scary shows as a child). 3. I am also quite superstitious/terrified of mirrors (again, too many scary shows). 4. The scarecrows are basically zombies, and while I love Groundhog Day and Bill Murray, I do not enjoy the zombie dream I often have with him. So. Yeah...probably not sleeping...or showering...tonight/tomorrow morning. I need one of those giant teddy bears to hide under. But I loved it anyway. And I love the actor who played the blond boy, too. That makes three episodes down.what, like, a thousand (?) left to go! Amanda...we must watch these together so it's not so scary. :P
We've started a tradition of watching Groundhog Day, every Groundhog Day. Thank you Bill Murray for existing
Anyone notice in the film "Groundhog Day" when Bill Murray wakes up early on Groundhog day, feb 2nd in New England how it's already brilliant daylight at that time in the morning ?
It's Groundhog Day. This can only mean it's time to watch my favorite Bill Murray movie - Zombieland... maybe Ghostbusters too.
We just watched Groundhog Day once again for the 10th year in a row.I never fail to laugh as we watch it.Liza watched with us and I think really enjoyed it! REally makes you think.if you could live a day over again (and again and again and again) what would you do? Would you make things better, or just use it selfishly? Sure, it's Hollywood, but there is a spiritual element to it..Bill Murray and Andie McDowell are brilliant...
Andie McDowell looked beautiful in Groundhog Day. That southern accent of hers was sexy. Good movie. One of Bill Murray's funniest movies.
sequel idea for Groundhog Day - called Valentine's Day, in which it takes Bill Murray, finally unfrozen in time, less than two weeks to realize he has foolishly idealized Andie McDowell, that she is the.worst. and he must now find the perfect way to break up with her on the 'most romantic day of the year'
I'm scrolling around the movies looking for Groundhog Day and couldn't find it so I try Bill Murray...nothing. "I can't find Bill Murray" I say. Nia looks at me and says, "because Wes Anderson has copyrights to the name Bill Murray!" I'm like huh? She looks at me with my dumb founded face and clarifies the joke, "you could say the same for Tim Burton and Johnny Depp." Okay, duh I get it.
I think instead of Groundhog Day today should be Bill Murray day and he should determine whether it's spring or not
Awkward amc isn't playing Groundhog Day on Groundhog Day does Bill Murray even exist anymore if that happens?
99.9% of my love for Groundhog Day is because of Bill Murray. The other 0.1 % is due Punxsutawney Phil.
This holiday is only good for Groundhog Day with Bill Murray being on all day.
A free download for Groundhog Day. Our little Bill Murray tribute. PLS share and RT
It's Groundhog Day but I still don't see Bill Murray screaming in the streets with a huge beard
They should be showing the movie Groundhog Day on a loop, considering it is Groundhog Day, and Bill Murray is amazing.
Many of you citing Bill Murray's work in Groundhog Day today. Sorry, but I still associate him more with gophers.
They used to have a marathon of the Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day on the movie channels -- why don't they do that any more?
In honor of Groundhog Day, I feel as if I should watch a Bill Murray movie.
I've always liked the Bill Murray movie more than the actual Groundhog Day
Experiencing any deja vu today? Check out our Groundhog Day golf photos of Bill Murray here:
I propose we change Groundhog Day to Bill Murray day.
Remember that movie about Groundhog Day?! It had Bill Murray in it!
Is it really Groundhog Day if Bill Murray doesn't make an appearance?
This Day In History: Samuel Langhorn Clemens uses the pen name 'Mark Twain' for the first time, producing some of the most enduring tales of life along the Mississippi River and in the western territories including "Huckleberry Finn", later listed by Ernest Hemingway as the birth of the Great American Novel, 1863; another author- James Joyce- is born, an expatriate living in later years in Paris, cavorting with members of "the Lost Generation", writing "Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man", "Ulysses" and other books which introduced a new style of writing- 'stream of consciousness'- to the literary world, 1882; the very first Groundhog Day is held in Punxsutawney, Pa., the descendants of German settlers honoring the former Candlemas Day with a groundhog to announce the period of anticipation of the start of Spring, the ritual made even more popular by Bill Murray in the movie "Groundhog Day" which became a huge blockbuster hit and brought the small Pennsylvania town tens of thousands of visitors each ye ...
Cue the Bill Murray movie clips - Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Groundhog Day, which means a forecast of six more weeks of winter, if you believe in that sort of thing.
Today is - Groundhog Day - whilst it traditionally signals the end of winter in the Northern Hemisphere, for many others it's a reminder of the very funny Bill Murray movie.

Yup, the one where Bill has to relive Groundhog Day over and over and over. But what if it wasn’t such a terrible thing? Find out wha...
Breaking News: CNN has reported that Bill Murray is expected to attend the Super Bowl in NJ on Sunday, February 2nd. That's right, Groundhog Day. Even if the the outdoor game is not postponed due to excessive snow, we may all be forced to relive this most boring Super Bowl every day for some endless amount of time or until Andie McDowell goes to NJ to save the day. 8-)

I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day just waiting for the end credits.
The always elusive Bill Murray participated in a Reddit AMA on Friday. He weighed in on a variety of topics, including what it was like to make Groundhog Day and the best sandwich he's ever eaten. But the most insightful part of Murray's Q&A session with fans probably came when someone asked him for...
What’s your favorite Bill Murray film? Groundhog Day? Lost in Translation? Stripes? The man’s place in pop culture history has long been cemented by a incredible list of silver screen triumphs, an actor best known to play what seems to be a version of his everyday self. Despite appealing to audience...
"Groundhog Day" Not the Groundhog Day that determines the end of our brutal winter, the Bill Murray movie where he relives the same day over and over. The markets continue to sway in a tight range as daily indicators waffle between better and slowing economic news. Today’s housing starts came in as expected at 999,000 in January, a reasonably good number. The U.S. dollar is slightly stronger, but earnings are somewhat mixed and the equities remain straddled. It remains a range bound market and $1,235-$1,250 should be our band today. By Peter Hug Global Trading Director
Whether it’s because of Ghostbusters, Lost in Translation, Groundhog Day or The Life Aquatic – Bill Murray just HAS to be one of your favourite actors. Celebrity sighting - Bill Murray on my plane to Los Angeles. Thank goodness its not Groundhog Day...
it worked for Bill Murray in Groundhog Day
We're back (again) Groundhog Day 4 waiting on the appearance of Bill Murray shortly.
Tim Minchin's wee secret is out of the bag. Yesterday, he confessed via blog that a stage production of Groundhog Day is in progress. Yes, Groundhog Day. As in the 1993 classic film written by Danny Rubin, directed by Harold Ramis and synonymous with actor Bill Murray.
If I was Bill Murray's neighbor I would, at the same exact time every day, tell him how much I liked 'Groundhog Day'
Celebrate Groundhog Day at the bowling alley in Woodstock where Bill Murray contemplated a half full or half empty glass. Saturday, February 1st Wayne's Lanes will have a benefit for the Adult Child Therapy Services. For $15 bowl 2 games including shoes. Scones and juice will be served in the morning. Pizza and pop in the afternoon. Open all day 8am - 4pm.

Watching "Groundhog Day"... Bill Murray is simple yet awesome ...
Thinking about time as a cycle of recurring experiences - a reality Bill Murray's character knows all too well in the movie Groundhog Day - may help us to put more money away into our savings...
The key words connected to regret are, “I wish.” Regret leaves us wishing we had made different choices and longing for a redo. It hoodwinks us into believing that if we ruminate on something long enough, we will be able to create an alternate universe where everything comes out perfectly (a la Bill Murray in Groundhog Day). Meanwhile, as the sun continues to rise and set on the rest of the world, we remain immobilized and disintegrated by our Magical Thinking.
Not sure if I went home for Christmas or I'm Bill Murray in Groundhog Day...
Nintendo first-party titles are the video game equivalent to Bill Murray's Groundhog Day. The same thing over and over, better every time.
Thank you all for your wonderful birthday messages! Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating...or just enjoying the Christmas music across every radio station... I've heard "Sleigh Ride" at least once an hour...makes me laugh and think of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day...in a good way :)
We have a free case of our at-home product to give to one lucky individual. We'll randomly choose one person from all the correct answers submitted to the following question... From the movie "Groundhog Day", how much was Bill Murray's character, Phil, sold for at auction?
TICH: The first year today was 1981. In the second of our Golden Years Bill Murray starred in Groundhog Day. What was the year?
VSU Confession so sorry but. I really, really do not like the actors Bill Murray and Will Ferrell. I do not find them funny and I do not enjoy their movies. I honestly cannot think of a single movie they star in that I love besides The Producers, and I feel like Will Ferrell being in that movie brings it down a bit as bad casting. Lost in Translation, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters (I'm sorry!!!), Elf, Anchorman, Blades of Glory. I don't like any of these movies. I am sorry, but I just don't like them.
Bill Murray brought to mind a dozen movies ... but going with Phil from "Groundhog Day". Dr. Peter Venkman close 2d.
Groundhog Day is ok. Not my favorite Bill Murray work. That would be Ghostbusters & the Life Aquatic.
I feel like bill Murray from Groundhog Day with this team!!
In the film Groundhog Day, how many times did Bill Murray relive the same day?
Could it be that buyer demand has become so consistent that each Saturday has become a bit like Groundhog Day? Or is it just that Jae thinks he looks a bit like Bill Murray? We'll let you decide!
Groundhog Day was such a good movie. Nice work, Bill Murray. Nice work.
Ok, let's get this out of the way: "About Time" isn't as good as the similarly themed "Groundhog Day." It doesn't have the same moral quirks, dramatic tension and weirdly satisfying resolution. It doesn't have Bill Murray. It isn't as good as "Love Actually" (which got panned the first time around, despite many strong performances, chief among them, that of Laura Linney and Emma Thompson), even though it's written and directed by the selfsame Richard Curtis. And, yes, there are recurring tropes: Oxbridge stammering, running through public places, and American objects of desire. Still, and on the other hand, there are two beguiling characters: England and Bill Nighy (the elderly rock star of "Love Actually"). Nighy can make a trifle like this not quite so trifling and, when called for, quite moving. And there is an upper-class United Kingdom (Scotland is in here, too), just below City of London and foreigner rich (see "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Notting Hill"), that is undeniably fun. And then ther ...
This past Groundhog Day, Kristen and I felt like a couple of Wild Things and went to Bill Murray's new Larger Than Life restaurant called Kingpin in The Grand Budapest Hotel on Garfield avenue in the City Of Ember, aka the Lost City, in the Moonrise Kingdom near Hyde Park On The Hudson Where the Buffalo Roam. It felt like Zombieland and smelled of Coffee And Cigarettes. I told her Stories From My Childhood about a fight between the Fantastic Mr. Fox and a pimp named Osmosis Jones. The night turned into a Little Shop Of Horrors when I accidentally called her Tootsie and handed her Broken Flowers. This pushed her to The Razor's Edge of her Limits Of Control and she dumped hot Meatballs on my lap that made Stripes on my Hamlet and then she slapped me across the face with toast covered in Space Jam. I felt the Shame Of The Jungle and made a Quick Change of the subject and explained that my gesture was Lost In Translation and then bungled a Passion Play that Ed Wood could have directed when I said, "I'm sorry, ...
How does Bill Murray 'break the spell' in the film Groundhog Day?
For those of you wondering what Groundhog Day would be like if Bill Murray knew kung fu.
The Tigers bullpen reminds me of that old Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day *** !
Bill Murray was guest picker today, and this is like Groundhog Day. Same thing happening over and over and over...
I wish the Tigers could be like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day and wake up tomorrow to have another go at this.
Why does Congress relive the same old legislation previously passed? Forty-four times to revisit the Affordable Care Act...now Cruz is talking about gearing up for another battle over the debt ceiling and the federal budget. Don't they know that they are in office to do other things...immigration...jobs bill...farm bill...infrastructure... It's like they are reliving GROUNDHOG DAY--remember that Bill Murray film? Isn't it about time that they GREW UP and FACED THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES to their electorate?
Groundhog Day is an awesome movie. Bill Murray is da bomb. If you disagree with either of these statements, you're likely a fascist.
Day to day, the chain of events changes, but the ending never does. It's a twisted Groundhog Day. I'm not even Bill Murray. I'm Chris Elliot
Ever feel like Bill Murray on Groundhog Day? Having one of THOSE weeks.
I feel like I'm part of the movie "Groundhog Day" in which Bill Murray gets to relive the same day over gain, every day. Except mine is Groundhog Weekend...
3 1. Brian McDermott as Bill Murray & Paul Green his leading lady in a LUFC production of Groundhog Day! .
I wish I was Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, not only would you be able to bang Andie Macdowell but. .
Worth The View: The Life and Times of Bill Murray My favorite Bill Murray films: 1) Caddyshack 2) Stripes 3) Groundhog Day (though it's the same performance over and over and over again) What are yours?
Cohen says the House is like Groundhog Day. "It's like Bill Murray is part of the caucus." (But probably not as much fun.)
Like when Bill Murray let the Groundhog steer the truck in Groundhog Day!
you should also really see Groundhog Day with Bill Murray.
I feel like Bill Murray from Groundhog Day right now.
Some omissions are so glaring you wonder why you've not noticed them before. For instance, a well-compiled Bill Murray box set doesn't exist. Why? Suggestions for an eight-disc compilation, please (Groundhog Day's a given, obviously)
Off to surgery again at 12:00 today. I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day! Hopefully this one will be more successful relieving the pain. I have a week before we're supposed to leave for our anniversary trip. I told Paul not to count me out yet. He is keeping his options open (possibly a younger women). He says it would be a shame to waste the flight and the house rental.
Would be like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day for me … I’d never escape. :)
I wish I was as cool as Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Or at all.
I just unfollowed someone for bad mouthing Groundhog Day. Ain't no one got time for Bill Murray hate, no one.
Groundhog Day is a superb film! Bill Murray is absolutely brilliant in it! :D
It may be September, but it is Groundhog Day at work on so many fronts. (And without Bill Murray for the comic relief!)
