Frances Mcdormand says she and Bill Murray still call each other by the names they had in Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom."
Frances Mcdormand & Bill Murray still call one another by their “Moonrise Kingdom” character names. Which is such a Wes Anderson thing to do
Bill Murray and Frances Mcdormand still call each other Mr. or Mrs. Bishop from their time doing Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom.
How could I pass up this film with Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, and Frances Mcdormand? Thank you for providing my late night independent film showings

Sensational and truly powerhouse performances from yourself, Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Frances Mcdormand and Tilda Swinton!
Just finished watching "Moonrise Kingdom" - an inoffensive, amusing film with Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, Frances Mcdormand et al and a bunch of 14 yo kids.
The Spy who Laughed Last After finally listening to the Condorman episode this morning, I wanted to do a category based on spy comedies so name these ten films based on the information given. 1. Steve Carrell, Anne Hathaway, and The Rock star in this remake of a classic TV show. 2. Val Kilmer plays US pop star Nick Rivers who, while performing at a cultural festival in East Germany, gets tangled up with the French resistance. 3. An evil vegetarian brainwashes animals to kill people and only Bill Cosby can save the world in one of the worst movies ever made. 4. Brad Pitt and Frances Mcdormand mistake John Malkovich's memoirs for sensitive government information and try to sell it to whoever will buy it in this Coen Brothers Farce. 5. Do I need to give any more of a clue than Anthony Edwards and paintball guns? 6. Peter Gallagher sends his brother, Bill Murray on an improv theater "spy mission". Shockingly enough he gets tangled up in a real plot. 7. Peter Ustinov and Clive Revill star in this Disney produ ...
Well, I watched "Moonrise Kingdom" and wasn't as impressed as I thought I might be (I guess I'd expected more with a combination of Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Frances Mcdormand and Tilda Swinton in a Wes Anderson film); but I was pleasantly surprised to find they used a Françoise Hardy song in it ("Le Temps de l'Amour")! I'm aware the film has been nominated for an Academy Award and has won and been nominated for other honors; but considering all the talent oozing from the stellar cast and crew, I felt it was a rather lame film. Nonetheless, I was really, really pleased they chose to include Françoise's song.
Moonrise Kingdom: written by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola; directed by Wes Anderson; starring Jared Gilman (Sam Shakusky), Kara Hayward (Suzy Bishop), Bruce Willis (Captain Sharp), Edward Norton (Scout Master Ward), Bill Murray (Walt Bishop), Frances Mcdormand (Laura Bishop), and Bob Balaban (Narrator) (2012): Another one of Wes Anderson's tiny, nearly perfect miniatures, quirky as usual and humane. The love of 12-year-olds Sam Shakusky and Suzy Bishop leads them to run away from home. Well, he runs away from his Khaki Scout Troop. But all this is happening on one of the small, rural islands near New York (so far as I can tell, anyway) in the mid-1960's, and there's a major storm rolling in. The major players are Sam, an orphan whose foster family intends to send him back to Social Services; Suzy, a depressed outsider with a great love of reading and mascara; Police Captain Sharp, a lonely bachelor having an affair with Suzy's mother, played by Frances Mcdormand; Walt Bishop, played by Bill Mur ...
Any movie including Bill Murray and Frances Mcdormand is going to be great, but it was the set of Moonrise Kingdom that most charmed me. The 1960s feel was spot on. When I'm big, I'm going to live at Summers End.
Galan and I just watched the most fabulous movie called "Moonlight Kingdom". It was nominated for a Golden Globe and should have won as it was just fabulous. Anyone who has ever been a Boy Scout, or ever been young and in love, you would love it. It has an all star cast, Bill Murray, Frances Mcdormand, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton,Bob Balaban and Tilda Swinton. Just fabulous!
I'm not a diehard Wes Anderson fan, but I certainly like his films. Know what you're getting into, and you should be good. On a tiny New England island, a weird, young Boy Scout has disappeared (sort of) and so has a 13-year old girl. So starts the kooky hijinks. Ed Norton, Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Frances Mcdormand, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton and a couple surprises highlight this typically quirky, odd and unique Wes Anderson film.
Best Film of 2012 - Moonrise Kingdom - one of Wes Anderson's Best Films - Bruce Willis is terrific as is Bill Murray & Frances Mcdormand
You'll thank me if you watch: Moonrise Kingdom (2012 film directed by Wes Anderson, starring Bruce Willis, Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray).
Moonrise Kingdom, THE ILLUSTRATED SCRIPT Bookmark this one and read it. Read it again. Look at the pictures. Explore the maps. Laugh. Treasure it. Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances Mcdormand, Tilda Swinton and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward.
Moonrise Kingdom was surprisingly good. I couldn't figure out how a movie about two twelve-year-olds eloping in 1965 managed to get Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Frances Mcdormand (Fargo), Tilda Swinton (lately, you'll know her as the Ice Queen from Narnia), Harvey Keitel (who doesn't seem to be credited, but it's him), and Jason Schwartzman (also Bob Balaban, who nobody knows, but is great), and none of them are even the main characters. I'm told the movie is an allegory. All I know is it made hilarious fun of the Boy Scouts by showing them being totally serious. See this movie.
Frances Mcdormand and Bill Murray have rarely played such ill-conceived and badly written characters?
i just spent some of my morning watching a rather entertaining movie called Moonrise Kingdom. If i were to describe it...would be a combination of MEATBALLS, THE SANDLOT, and maybe a little Stand By Me. Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, and Frances Mcdormand are the stars. It was very different and i really enjoyed it. Some scripted funnies along with some great sight-gags!! It's a 2 thumbs up!
just watched a suprisingly good movie, Moonrise Kingdom. Great cast, I put it somewhere in the same category as Stand By Me. Bruce Willis, Ed Norton, Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray, Harvey Keitel, Tilda Swinton-worth watching
Watched: Moonrise Kingdom Rating: 4.0 out of 5.0 Reason: A chicken-love movie about a couple running away from a troop and a dysfunctional family. Honestly, one of the funniest cast ensembles (Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Bruce Willis & Frances Mcdormand) I've seen in a while. It's 90 minutes of laughter and heart-warming pleasure.
Okay, that part absolutely kills me. Bill Murray, so depressive and sad. Frances Mcdormand, so bitter and unlikable.
I’m going to watch Midnight Kingdom. It’s a Wes Anderson film with Bill Murray, Ed Norton, and Frances Mcdormand from Fargo.
If you're looking for a very delightful movie this weekend while waiting for "Sandy", check out "Moonrise Kingdom". Bruce Willis, Edw Norton, Bill Murray, Frances Mcdormand & Jason Schwartzmann can't stop true love between two 12 year olds who seem smarter than all the adults. Set in 1965, the kids are in love, not lust, and all the '60's sensabilities and memorabilia will delight you; not to mention the wilderness skills of the scout troop to which the boy belongs. It's On Demand for those who have that service.
Just watched a very unusual movie on pay per view. It was Moonlight Kingdom with Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel, Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton. I'm sort of speechless. Weird. FYI, 2016 Obamas America is on pay per view as well.
Just saw "Moonrise Kingdom" with Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Frances Mcdormand, Harvey Keitel. And none of them are the stars. Very funny madcap movie. Great steak dinner with pint of ale beforehand. Total $25. Jamestown is cheap.
Moonrise Kingdom releases in India this week. Please go and watch it. Critics have called it Wes Andersons Best Film to date. It will release in PVR theatres ( maybe others also ) and stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Harvey Kietel, Frances Mcdormand, Tilda Swinton.
see "Moonrise Kingdom" for use of Hank thruout; Bill Murray and Frances Mcdormand capture "Cold Cold Heart" visually, great achievement 3/3
I saw a very strange movie yesterday called, "Moonrise Kingdom". Is it possible to love a movie, but hate the story? Technically, the film was wonderful in terms of HOW it was made. The direction was well planned and handled so creatively, the music was awesome - even the credits were quirky and fun. But, I didn't care for the storyline involving the two children. And, I thought people like Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray, and Tilda Swinton were wasted. I would still give it a B/B+.
Not enough Bill Murray but having Frances Mcdormand in there was extremely pleasing. And bonus, the kids didn't annoy the crap out of me!
2 strange kids run away together. It's got Bill Murray & Frances Mcdormand so you can guess it's a bit different.
the Boss would've had Frances Mcdormand running away with him & the kids & Bill Murray would've ended up with Shakusky.
it's an interesting plot...really good cast--Bruce Willis, Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray but some new ppl too!
The movie Moonrise Kingdom looks great love Wes Anderson... (Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Ed Norton, Frances Mcdormand
Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, Frances Mcdormand, Bruce Willis, and Harvey Kietel. Moonrise Kingdom is only an hour away...
The scene w/ Bill Murray & Frances Mcdormand in bed was so good. "I hope the roof gets blown off and I get sucked into outer space."
Had a dream with Bill Murray and Frances Mcdormand. She gave a serious yet quirky monologue. My brain wants me to see Moonrise Kingdom.
Saw Moonrise Kingdom. They need to make a tie-in line of Valentine Cards that shows either Bill Murray or Frances Mcdormand saying, "Counselor," for the people you respect but aren't really that into and then one of the kids asking, "What kind of Bird are you?" for the people you totally want to run away with.
When you cast Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Frances Mcdormand and Bruce Willis in your movie you might consider giving them more to work with.
I saw Moonrise Kingdom today. This was a really warm, human film. While Wes Anderson is still his "quirky" self, he definitely takes the two main kids (Kara Hayward and Jared Gilman, both great) very seriously. Anderson's eye for detail in both his visual and narrative is at its best here. There's a real fairy-tale quality to the movie that reminded me a bit of Fantastic Mr. Fox - on the surface, it may almost look like a simple children's tale, but the emotions run deep. As for the adults, they're all good, though I was most charmed by Edward Norton's eagerly nerdy scoutmaster. However, late in the game Frances Mcdormand and Bill Murray have a scene where they talk about their marriage that's just terrific. Both do great work throughout, though. Bruce Willis is fine, and Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, and Harvey Keitel are all funny in, essentially, extended cameos. It's really the kids' show, though. Theirs, and Anderson's. Oh, and if you like the film, stay for the whole credits. You won't regret it
1) Frances Mcdormand, Bill Murray and Ed Norton are in t for no reason other than they are Frances Mc Dormand, Bill Murray and Ed Norton
Thanks for mentioning It was my first movie & Bill Murray & Frances Mcdormand played my parents..pretty cool!
One of my fav directors makes a film with Bill Murray, Frances Mcdormand, Ed Norton and Bruce Willis and it only gets limited release? Lame.
Review for Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, now in theaters with Bill Murray; Frances Mcdormand; and Edward Norton
and Bill Murray. And Bruce Willis. And Tilda Swinton. Oh and Frances Mcdormand. Basically everyone I have an acting crush on!
OMG Frances Mcdormand and Bill Murray are a couple in the next Wes Anderson movie! Geeking out right now.
Bruce Willis and Frances Mcdormand are simply excellent in Moonrise Kingdom but the air has gone out of the tires of Bill Murray
Bill Murray and Frances Mcdormand as parents? I'm in!
