One of the paradoxes of life is that being "reasonable" often means settling for ordinary results, while success usually requires us to step out of the box , be different and, sometimes, uncomfortable. Highly successful people are, by definition, unusual people. All of us have been pressured to conform at one time or another. We've been told to "sit still" in school, to "wait for a miracle " , "pray and fast ", in church .We've been criticized for dressing, speaking, acting or thinking "different." The subtle and not-so-subtle pressures to accept conventional norms are powerful. "To get along, you have to go along." Well. Florence Nightingale, Helen Keller, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Oprah Winfrey are not admired because they were "average" people! Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison,, Franklin Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela and Bill Gates were not "conventional" people. Abraham Lincoln is widely regarded as the greatest American president, yet the thing he was most known for among his friends was his stubborn refusa ...
...failure helps you think better than you previously do... I'm not more than who I am now cos I've never experience failure! I WAS BORN AN INVENTOR...BUT HOW LONG HAVE I TESTED MY ABILITY? Always scared of failing. Kayode, the time to act is now!!! Not by becoming a General in the NA that will describe you a success! Majority of the world changers are never one...I got to think really deep...I wish I could fail like Henry Ford, R.H. Macy, Soichiro Honda, Bill Gates, Akio Morita, Wilson Churchil, Thomas Edison, Oprah Winfrey, Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg, Colonel Harland David Sanders, Sir Isaac Newton, Vera Wang, Albert Einstein(the great) and many more world famous people who were painfully rejected before getting to lime light. So, who am I to say I don't want to fail giving a try? After all, there is no crime in tyring!!! I'm only going to be a looser if I eventually quit trying...Hoping for the best Lord...Praying for your grace, favour and mercy to live through the hurdles...Got no friend nor enemy ...
Most people believe that they dont have what it takes to make a difference to the world. we mostly believe only people like Mahatma Gandi Mother Theresa, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, and others, are capable of making a difference. The truth is, every one of us is put in this world to contribute and make a difference to the world in our own simple way. It needs not be anything out of the world. It just needs to be something you do with the intention of doing good with all your heart. Thanks to Kim Delgado, Laura Delgado,y Ashley and Winny Heart for your contribution to make this world a better place to live.
Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of college while Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein didn't go. It's clear what I must do here.
WALK IN THE LORD, HE WILL ENABLE YOU TO SEE!!! “Their eyes were opened and they recognized him.” Luke 24:31 NIV One day JESUS touched the eyes of a blind man and he exclaimed, “I see men as trees, walking” Mark 8:24. In other words, “I see something, but it’s not completely clear yet.” So JESUS touched him again, cleared his perceptions, removed his limitations, and set him free to become the man GOD made him to be. Without a GOD-given vision you’ll stumble through life blind to who GOD is and what HE can do; blind to who you are and what HE can accomplish through you. Thomas Edison “saw” incandescent light before the first electric bulb ever glowed. It’s what sustained him through thousands of failed experiments. Bill Gates “saw” a PC in every office and home, while the so-called experts were busy announcing, “It’ll never happen in our lifetime.” Forty years before Israel set foot in the Promised Land, Moses “saw” it Hebrews 11:27. GOD can be doing all sorts of things, ...
"Ladies and gentlemen my name is Mpho Mpondo..." (PLEASE DON'T COMMENT) Few years ago that name didn't mean a thing to anybody, and I'm very grateful for the honour you've given me. To be honest this is the hardest and scariest decision I ever had to make, and I know I'll probably face a lot of criticism, particularly from my home country. Firstly let me make it clear that I’m not trying to be Bill Gates, Mark, Dustin, Einstein, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs, John D., etc. I’m being me. I know the risk I’m taking, and if I screw up, I’ll lose everything, I’ve came into peace with that, and I’m willing to risk it all. I've thought very long and hard about it, and I'm very sorry, I just can't accept the terms, I've got to remain true to my values, retain my integrity and be able to respect the man I see in the mirror. That was the first lesson I was taught when I got into this business. When I signed up for the program, I wasn’t taking a vow to poverty. I know poverty, I understand poverty, and b ...
"Life offers many challenges. Henry Ford went broke 5x times before Ford became a success. Bill Gates first business didn't take flight. It was called Traf-O-Data. Walt Disney first venture ended in bankruptcy. Thomas Edison had 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Winston Churchill was defeated in every political election until the age of 62, when he became prime minister. If you look at the big picture, you're in prime position to take a set back, create a setup for your success in July. You can do it my friend." Thank you for getting me out of bed Demetrius Heath. You always find a way to make a difference.
Life will knock you down and this is a given. But for some people standing back up to their feet is also a given... Some of them: 1) Steve Jobs 2)Bill Gates 3)Thomas Edison 4)Alexander Graham Bell 5)Warner Bros When life knocks you down for the 1000th time, you have to stand up on your feet for 1001st time!

Can you imagine how many people laughed at Henry Ford,George Washington Carver,Steve Jobs, Bill Gates,Alexander Graham Bell,Thomas Edison,Harriet Tubman and many others because they couldn't see what they saw? You've heard it before: "If at first you don't succeed, try again." Sometimes you may feel like that's just a saying, but it is absolutely not. The 16 incredible stories below show how even horrible tragedies and setbacks can help fuel a drive for success. Never ever give up. - Bill Gates' first business failed. - Albert Einstein didn't speak until he was four years old. - Jim Carrey used to be homeless. - Bethany Hamilton had her arm bitten off by a shark. - Benjamin Franklin dropped out of school at age ten. - Richard Branson has dyslexia. - Stephen King's first novel was rejected 30 times. - Oprah Winfrey gave birth at age 14 and lost her child. - Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before creating the light bulb. - Kris Carr turned her cancer into a business of hope and healing. - Jay-Z couldn't get signed to any record labels. - Vincent Van Gogh only sold one painting in his lifetime. - Franklin Roosevelt became partially paralyzed at 39. - Simon Cowell had a failed record company. - Charlize Theron wit ...
I recently came across a study that examined the lives of 755 famous people who either dropped out of grade school or high school. The list included 25 billionaires, 8 U.S. Presidents, 10 Nobel Prize winners, 8 Olympic medal winners, 63 Oscar winners, 55 best-selling authors, and 31 who had been Knighted. With names like Thomas Edison, Andrew Carnegie, Richard Branson, Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Will Rogers, and Joseph Pulitzer, being an academic failure still left you in the company of some incredible luminaries. Going one step further, adding the names of well-known college dropouts to the list, names like Steve Jobs, Frank Lloyd Wright, Bill Gates, Buckminster Fuller, Larry Ellison, Howard Hughes, Michael Dell, Ted Turner, Paul Allen, Mark Zuckerberg, and virtually every famous actor, actress, and director in Hollywood, and the dropout list becomes a venerable Who’s Who of American culture. People who are destined to be successful have something to prove. In their mind, college is just another barrier ...
Steve Jobs has been compared to Bill Gates. Job's MADE the future and his peers, if he has any, are Thomas Edison and Ron Ayers, not Gates.
If the school keeps blaming the ADHD maybe they should try to make a fish climb a tree? I’d like to share with you a list of people known to have ADD and or dyslexia. What would the world be like had we medicated them in an effort to make them the same as everyone else? What if we had drugged them so that they might focus on what society deemed important? What if they had not been allowed to look inside their own magnificent heads and explore what interested them? Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Winston Churchill, Edgar Allen Poe, John F. Kennedy, Vincent Van Gogh, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Benjamin Franklin, Malcolm Forbes, Richard Branson, Thomas Edison, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Salvador Dali, Ernest Hemingway, Ted Turner, Thomas Jefferson, Leonardo Da Vinci, Stephen Hawking, Leo Tolstoy, and Louis Pasteur to name but a few. Do they strike you as learning disabled? Abnormal…in a negative sense?
Did you know some of the most brilliant minds of our time have been known to have dyslexia: Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Winston Churchill, Benjamin Franklin, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and John Lennon, to mention only a few. If you think God is blessing you for things you do good, right, and wonderful, then apparently you know nothing about Him. Notice the middle to later part of verse 45, "for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." Sun and rain are needed and are good Also see Luke 18:9-14 of the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee was blessed with the abilitybto tithe and appears to have abundance. Also see luke 12:16-21 of the Rich fool. He was overflowed with blessings. So many places we can go throughout the scrips to show that God blessed those with material things regardless of what they did for Him. Did you know Bill Gates, and Warren Buffett are Agnostics? Atheists are Billy Joel, Keanu Reeves, Jodie Foster, Bill Maher, Rodney Dangerfield, Bruce Lee, Mark Zuckerberg, Gene Wilder, Thomas Edison, Ray Romano, Mark Twain, William Shatner (Star Trek), Edgar Allen Poe, Larry King, Fidel Castro, Jack Nicholson, Phil Donahue, Morgan Freeman (agnostic ...

Here you go folks... The next time you ignore an Introvert, as if they are second class, ignorant, unsociable people... Study your History! Famous Introverts: Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Joe Dimaggio, Mohandas Gandhi, Moses, Abraham Lincoln, J.K.Rowling, Audrey Hepburn, Sir Issac Newton, George Orwell, W.B. Yeats, Steve Wozniak (Brain behind Apple), Dale Carnegie, Steven Spielberg (Directed 1st Columbo episode as a kid), Larry Page (co-founder of Google), Charles Darwin, Clint Eastwood, Michael Jordan, Sir Alfred Hitchcock, Charles Schulz, Thomas Edison, and many many more. It's plain to see, that Introverts are always in your life, where ever you acknowledge it or not. From the computer you use, to the electricity in your home, to the phone you use, and the movies you enjoy... You would have none of these, without the Introvert... whom is always "thinking" and "observing" while the extroverts run their mouth contributing very little to society. Examples of Extroverts.. Bill Clinton (Liar ...

to some people who may think I am just too much for them, Visionary people: Adjective (esp. of a person) Thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom: "a visionary leader". Noun A person with ORIGINAL IDEAS about what the future will or could be like. Can you recognize one if you see one? A Visionary... will challenge your traditional thinking; will also make you uncomfortable since they tend to move people out of their comfort zone; will question everything since they are great Change Agents; will be non-compromised since their only alliance is to their vision; will be unlikely because you may think you know them well, but then again you don’t; will be passionate about their purpose …you can either work together with them, or get out of the way. Examples of visionary people: Henry Ford, John Rockefeller, Thomas Edison, Sam Walton, Bill Gates, etc. …and do you think these people didn’t find any opposition with their ideas? Or do you think these people didn’t storm any tradit ...
THE POWER OF YOUR NETWORK - If you want to become rich, the best strategy is to find a way to build a strong, viable, growing network. ''The power is not in the product; the power is in the network.'' - ROBERT KIYOSAKI. The richest people in the world build networks. Everyone else looks for work. What made Thomas Edison's business so revolutionary was not the light bulb itself, but the system of electrical lines and relay stations that powered the light bulb. It was the network. Sam Walton didnt manufacture goods for people; he built the distribution network that deliver the goods. Bill Gates didnt build computers; he built the operating system that ran on those computers. Jeff Bezos didnt go into publishing books: he created the online network Amazon that delivers those books. It was the network and I ask; WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE PEOPLE YOU MEET ON DAILY BASIS? ARE YOU BUILDING NETWORK TO BECOME RICH OR YOU ARE BECOMING A NUISANCE TO THEM? THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
Andrew Carnegie, Jacob van Astor, Thomas Edison, Commodore Vanderbilt, J. P. Morgan, Bill Gates, Steve Case, Larry Ellison, Ross Perot and Sam Walton. .what do all these people have in common ?
These include Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs to name just a few >> some Moditard comparing HIM with these !!
Bill Gates - high school drop out Princess Diana - high school drop out Benjamin Franklin - High school drop out All famous and wealthy people dropped out of school. Now I know what I did wrong. I went for higher studies.
The other dayI got into a discussion about credentials. I mentioned to someone about how the talk show hosts everyone on the right listens to ...Rushy, Seany, and Becky how they are all college dropouts. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Not that there's anything elitist about being a college grad...but those of us who worked our way through college to even get a BA sort of look at people who have degrees...maybe a multiplicity of them as being a bit more knowlegeable..as being able to research better than the ones who never sweated through weekends in a library back in the day. It's just a thing...but something frought from blood sweat and tears. If I offend you...I am sorry, but the people I listen to happen to have degrees...one to three . I cannot respect people who openly lie to gain ratings. I only respect professionals who research the facts and let them be known good or bad for their side. If that's a sin..then guilty as charged. Hey, I realize Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Guillermo Marconi ...

What do Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Henry John Heinz, Walt Disney, Milton Hershey, Soichiro Honda, Akio Morita, Bill Gates, Harland David Sanders, and Donald Trump have in common? They were all failures at some time in their life. For most, the climb to the top is plagued with adversity, stress, and a sense of self-doubt. Albert Einstein couldn’t speak until he was four or write until he was seven, making his teachers think he was handicapped. He was even expelled from school but ended up winning the Nobel Prize for physics. Thomas Edison was considered too stupid to do anything and was fired from the first few jobs he took. Oprah Winfrey was an abused child and got fired from her first TV job because “she was unfit to TV,” and Michael Jordan couldn’t even make his school basketball team. Yes it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll, as the lyrics of ACDC go. The old adage “good judgment comes from experience and most of that comes from making bad judgments,” makes sense – ...
10 SECRETS SCHOOL DOESN'T TEACH YOU ABOUT MONEY. . If you're one of those who love to ask some good questions, you should have asked yourself these three questions: first, Why are most professors poor after reading till their hair become gray? Second, why is it that many rich men in the world didn't even finish school? Third, why are P.hd holders now begging to work as drivers for Dangote? May i tell you the truth? There are certain SECRETS about riches you can never learn in school, even as a professor. Johann Rupert dropped out of school, and now, the richest man in South Africa . Does Dangote become the richest African because he is a professor? Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Mark Zukerberg, Etc didn't finish school. yet, they become richest of men. Why? The SECRETS. Today, we have millions of graduates who are poor and unemployed. Why will someone spend 15, 20 years in class room and stil be poor? Because the SeCrEtS of wealth is not taught in the class room. What ...
Mediocrity Every day in America, Americans have to make a decision. This is a decision that is unique to America... You see in America greatness is part of the birthright of our country. While no American individual has a birthright that allows them to become great. However it is the country itself that affords every individual the possibility of greatness .The Democrats would have us believe that greatness can only be achieved by the group. They claim to speak for the weak, the trampled, and the disheartened. They claim to want to stop the next Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin's or Saddam Hussein's of the world. But what they really want to stop is the Thomas Edison's the Nelson Rockefeller's and the Bill Gates of the world. Look at what they have done to our schools; after all they have been in charge of the teachers unions for decades. Now in every school you go to mediocrity is the grade. In the last two years I went to two graduations for seniors in high school. Sitting there it seemed that everyone in t ...
What do Bill Gates, Lady Gaga, Stephen Spielberg, Thomas Edison, Ben Franklin, Steve Jobs, Ellen DeGeneres, Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen and the others pictured here have in common? They all had difficulty or dropped out of school at some point. Yet they also went on to do extremely creative and successful work in the "real world." The biggest dropout of the group was Thomas Edison. He had hearing problems and his teacher said that his mind wandered. After less then one year of elementary school his mother took him out and he was home schooled. Ben Franklin too spent little time in formal school, as his parents could not afford it. He dropped out at age 10, though as Wikipedia explains it he "continued his education through voracious reading. " Quentin Tarantino dropped out of high school at age 15, according to some sources, though he claims he was 16. Einstein never finished high school, though he was able to get into college by passing entrance exams. Steve Jobs got in but quit college after 6 months ...
Thomas Edison and Graham Bell were dyslexic. Bill Gates and Benjamin Franklin were dyscalculic. Isaac Newton had aspergers.
Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Mark Zuckerberg, Rupert Murdoc and Warren Buffet all enjoy complete physical freedom from work. They are free to work or not work. They do not work hard for money but money and the people are working hard for them. They pay less taxes than highly educated employees yet have no degree.
I discern Poe, in death...wherever you are my dark-winged and misunderstood angel of a writer of the abyss that you were mad as Einstein was a genius, eccentric as Thomas Edison autistic, abnormal as Bill Gates is a prodege and always has been a prodege of computers, and bizzare as Nikola Tesla was a educated of the sciences. "Men have called me mad; but the question is not yet settled, whether madness is or is not the loftiest intelligence– whether much that is glorious– whether all that is profound– does not spring from disease of thought– from moods of mind exalted at the expense of the general intellect." --from "Eleonora" by Edgar Allan Poe
Most people would say that Johannes Gutenberg, Marie Curie, Alfred Nobel, Nikolai Tesla and Thomas Edison (and a few more clever individuals) would be the real geniuses of our world, but in recent times I'd say that Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs, Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas are the ones that has changed the most lives on this planet. ...in my humble opinion...
Abraham Lincoln, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Mark Zuckerberg, Benjamnin Franklin, Thomas Edison & Steve Jobs had no college degree. Like Amazing Facts in the world.
Do i regret dropping out from college? Yes,sometimes i do..yet i am also in good company of dropouts.Bill Gates,Michael Dell,Steve Jobs,Thomas Edison,Henry Ford and Ted Turner were also dropouts.

***Life doesn't question your inabilities. It only questions your doubts.*** Almost all our achievers were incapable towards their achievements. Apples computers was founded by a man, Steve Jobs who dropped out of school only after six months of schooling and was financially incapable to start the company with his friend. Thomas Edison never went to school. Bill Gates was another drop out. Abraham Lincoln was born in a one room farm cabin house. Winston Churchill was the worst student at his time that his teachers doubted his future. Phil Emegwali, the computer giant who was the internet forerunner came to America early 70's and was jobless and homeless. We all are incapable by merely looking at eachother but when you look inside yourself, you will see all possibilities waiting. Kimberly Anyadike, the 15 year old Nigerian born in U.S dazzled the world when she became the youngest pilot through after school program. What did she say when experts doubted her before the world record breaking fleet? She said, ...

Thanks Dana. We will be watching! Eric Bolling did a great job for Neil Cavuto today.
WHY ARE YOU IN SCHOOL??? 1- For those whose answer is to get RICH, you are cruising on the wrong track! Read about Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Ralph Lauren, COSMOS MADUKA, Michael Dell. etc Non among these wealthiest figures achieved that through school 2- Those whose answer is "to get knowledge", my dear stop wasting your time in school! Michael Faraday, Thomas Edison, Robert Franklin Stroud, Oliver Evans, John Smeaton, Karl Marx, Wright Brothers.etc attained their FULL POTENTIALS by turning their back to school... They were Autodidacts 3- Some might answer this way "to become famous", hmmm. Please stop deceiving your self and your lectures. Have you ever seen an renown graduate?? Your can take soccer, music or acting as your career instead. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Zidane, Jay Z, Akon, Eminem...etc All these people broke their pens and tore their books before realizing their dreams 5-Some cool but dull minds would answer "I Don't Know" ... Well, the world needs to get rid of ...
I recently learned that George Orwell, one of my favorite authors, was a person with Asperger's Syndrome (as was Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Michelangelo, Jane Austen, Emily Dickinson, Bill Gates, Al Gore, and more)
In honor of Autism Awareness Month (and since I am honored to work with children who have Asperger's and Autism) I would like to share a list of famous people who have had Asperger's Syndrome. Asperger's is a misunderstood syndrome and it is surprising how many people have had it. Bill Gates, Alfred Hitchcock, Sir Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, Hans Christian Anderson, Charles Darwin, Jim Henderson (who created the muppets), Mark Twain, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, Michelangelo, Woody Allen, Wolfgand Mozart, Dan Aykroyd, Michael Jackson and Ludwig Beethoven.
Day 9: I'm thankful for our forefathers. Could you imagine what our country would be like, without the amazing lives of Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, Henry Ford, Elvis Presley, "Babe" Ruth, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Susan B. Anthony, Bill Gates, Franklin Roosevelt, The Wright Brothers, and SO many more! They all have played a part in shaping our country and making it the BEST place on earth, to live!
Greatness in our materialistic world is defined as fame, popularity, scholastic or economic achievement, and notoriety. GREATNESS MAY RESULT FROM THESE QUALITIES, BUT THEY ARE NOT THE DEFINITION OF GREATNESS. Greatness may best be defined by the people throughout history whom we consider great. Among those who would be considered great in the context of their influence and impact on human society are such names as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther, Martin Luther King, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, George Washington Carver, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Mahatma Gandhi, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Alexander Graham Bell, Albert Einstein, Babe Ruth, Jesse Owens, Florence Nightingale, Helen Keller, Pablo Picasso, Sam Walton, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, the Wright Brothers, Steven Jobs, and Bessie Coleman.
Do you know that most famous enterprenuers like : 1.Thomas Edison, founder of General Electricity. 2.Henry Ford, founder of ford motors. 3.Bill Gates,Founder of mocrosoft. 4.Ted Turner,Founder of CNN 5.Steven Jobs,Founder of apple computers. 6.Michael Dell ,founder of Dell computers etc did not finish school.
Audrey's list of "Dyslexics who have gone on to do great things": Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Pablo Picasso, Tom Cruise, Bill Gates, Thomas Jefferson and...Bella Thorne. John Lennon got bumped for Bella Thorne.
Hm, let's think about this: Albert Einstein quit school . . . Sir Isaac Newton was told he was a lunatic . . . Bill Gates was outcast by his peers . . . Satoshi Tajiri (creator of Pokémon) wasn't well-accepted . . . Temple Grandin was ridiculed for her theories about cows . . . Alexander Graham Bell was in virtual solitude in his laboratory as was Thomas Edison . . . J.S. Bach lost himself in his piano as did Ludwig von Beethoven . . . Jane Austen and Emily Dickinson escaped the cruel world through their pen . . . That little known statesman, Thomas Jefferson, you may have heard of him? . . . Madam Curie . . . Dan Ackroyd . . . oh, yeah, that other obscure guy, W.A. Mozart . . . what do all of these people have in common besides being geniuses? They are all autistic . . . and the public school system probably didn't know what to do with them either . . . what kind of world do you want?
Linda McMahon, on day one would be number two on this list and number one in the United states Senate. Her plan would give a 4& million dollar tax break for herself. Not for you and me, but for her. All while making money by degrading women, not giving her employees any health insurance and by encouraging them to take drugs to enrich her business. Nearly 100 of her employees such as Owen Hart, Eddie Gerrero and Chris Benoit died on her watch before age 40. Like Mitt romney, she did not revolutionize a product like Bill Gates or Steve Jobs or Thomas Edison. she made her money on the backs of others suffering and misery. If that is what she would do in her own particullar business, imagine what she would do in the business of making laws for you and me! Linda McMahon, always for her and never for you!
Highly-successful people love to work. All athletes who reached the top of their game, including Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, practised for 12-15 hours per day to reach their skill levels. Bill Gates worked 20-hour days for years. Thomas Edison, who wanted to extend his own work hours, built thousands of unworkable light bulbs before discovering one that let him work at night. Friends let's work hard and God...
“The Welfare State” from Wikipedia : “It is based on the principles of equality of opportunity, equitable distribution of wealth, and public responsibility for those unable to avail themselves of the minimal provisions for a good life.” Sound good? In America though we are to be equal 'only' to the unlimited rights we have to “act” not the right to any “thing” like “equality of opportunity.“ We, with freedom in tact are free to act yes and that is to grab the opportunity we are able with no limits attached and everyone benefits by that. Just imagine where this country would be if Bill Gates or Thomas Edison were so limited. And certainly a country of freedom would not own such a principle as “the equitable distribution of wealth“--an admitted communist principle! No distribution of wealth is fair but forced. Nor should we be forced by a government of freedom to be responsible for others. It’s an oxymoron. The welfare state is anti-American/Anti-freedom and for its very ...
College is too dang stressful, I wish it was like the good ol' days where a man worked his way through life and accomplished things to get to greatness. That diploma is just a piece of paper to hang on the wall. Sure, higher learning is a great thing and I plan to accomplish the task one day, but there have been too many people to go through college and do nothing for the community, country, or even world. Look at Paul Allen, Glenn Beck, Warren Buffet, Andrew Carnegie, Winston Churchill, Walt Disney, Clint Eastwood, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, John Glenn, Peter Jennings, Steve Jobs: some did not even finish high-school and have changed the world as we know it. I'm not saying to quit at life, I'm saying aspire to be something great. Be willing to work no matter what the task and have joy in the fact that you are alive.
Who is your Role Model??? Try it with out looking at the answer... Please don't scroll down until you do it, You'll love it I promise. Get a calculator (your computer has one on it.) 1. Pick your favorite number between 1-9 2. Multiply by 3 then 3. Add 3. Then again multiply by 3. ( I'll wait till you get the calculator...) 4. You'll get a 2 or 3 digit number... 5. Add the two digits together. Scroll down... Do not cheat!!! Now, using that number, see who your Role Model is from the list below: 1. Einstein 2. Bono 3. Abraham Lincoln 4. Helen Keller 5. Bill Gates 6. Gandi 7. George Clooney 8. Thomas Edison 9. Eduardo Mitchell 10. Mother Theresa I know... I just have that effect on people. One day you, too, can be like me. P.S. Stop picking different numbers. I am your Idol. Just deal with it!
Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs quotes on sidewalk here close to MIT! (@ Boston Marriott Cambridge) [pic]:
"Many successful people ave left school without receiving a college degree. People such as Thomas Edison, founder of General Electric; Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Co.; Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft; Ted Turner, founder of CNN;
Apart from 1. Bill Gates ( the founder of Microsoft) 2. Steve Jobs ( Founder of Apple) 3. Thomas Edison (light bulb inventor) and this one is quite interesting: Walt Disney!! ;)
I don't like the people who quit because something is too hard. We would have nothing if everyone quit when something was too hard. What if Thomas Edison, Alexander Gramhn Bell, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, or Tim Berners-Lee quit because things got too hard? We wouldn't have electricity, phones, Apple, Microsoft, or the internet. Not to mention we wouldn't have a country. So to all you people who quit because something's hard: shut up, suck it up and keep trying. It's too hard is not an acceptable reason to give up and quit.
*** What you see within possible, keep fueling that dream, create a plan, expect wisdom to arrive for how to apply that plan, that wisdom will arive from within you, in your quiet time...Disregard the opinions that attempt to discourage. And live what you believe is your desired purpose possible anyway. Just as Henry Ford helped to give us the motor car, Thomas Edison the light, Bill Gates access to home computers, and each invention that we enjoy today, and those coming. Along with all our great artist, Musicians, Great thinks, and you. Persistantly pursue, your desire accomplished must be achieved. You have greatness in you, to be released to this generation, which will help to raise the global thinking and mindset of all humankind. Thanks for being you. A gift to us all manifested in the natural, from a spiritual thought belived. :0) *
To All Religious People... You are reading posts and/or posting on a social network created by an Atheist: Mark Zuckerberg, using an OS created by Atheists: Bill Gates and Linus Torvalds, that is executed through hardware based on the work of an Atheist homosexual: Alan Turing, and all this works thanks to the electric networks developed by free thinkers: Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla. Thanks so much for your support Happy Rainbow Interweb Days to All of You!
A must read! “Use Your Head to Get Your Foot in the Door,” by Harvey Mackay.Thomas Edison tried over ten thousand different experiments b4 he finally demonstrated the 1st incandescent light bulb. Henry Ford’s first 2 companies failed, & Bill Gates' 1st company, Traf-O-Data, was a failure. # Failure is staying down, not falling down.
People thought Bill Gates was crazy when he sat in a coffee shop planning to start a business building and selling computers for home use. People thought putting a man on the moon was crazy. People thought Thomas Edison was crazy when he wanted to light up a town using electricity instead of flames. People thought having a toilet inside their house was crazy. So many crazy ideas have made our lives so much easier.
Failure is not the opposite of success. It is an essential part of success. Once you succeed, no one will remember your failures anyway. Microsoft wasn't Bill Gates' and Paul Allen's first business venture. Who remembers that their original Traf-o-Data business was a flop? The actor Jim Carey was booed off many a stage while a young comedian. We have electric light bulbs because Thomas Edison refused to give up even after 10,000 failed experiments. If the word "failure" is anathema to you, then reframe it: You either succeed, or you have a learning experience. you'll learn a lot more by doing than you ever will by thinking indefinitely
He is Thomas Edison and Henry Ford rolled into one -- except that William Henry Gates III maybe smarter and more successful than either. He is America's richest man, and on the corporate landscape, he may well be the most feared. In less than a generation, Bill Gates has done nothing less than ...
I'm watching this right now and I gotta tell ya'll documentaries on the life and times of ANY ARTIST or VISIONARY can get you through the MOMENTS!!! I viewed a documentary on Ralph Lauren, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Metallica, Ozzie Osborn & Thomas Edison and was JUST AS INSPIRED! The song that comes to mind it the Isely Brothers "FOLLOW ME", take a listen!!!
A teacher in college told me once that I need to focus only on my education for theatre and studying and performing FOR THAT college before I go do anything else, he urged me to do so, by saying my education is the only thing that will help me... I reminded him of some people who did not receive an education... Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Richard Branson, Walt Disney, and Steve Jobs... Then I smiled and said... And Bradford Jackson.
Thomas Edison, Ben Franklin, Bill Gates, Einstein, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zucjerburg all dropped out of school.
Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison, Mark Zuckerberg and many more dropped out of college and changed the world
Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Quentin Tarantino, David Geffen, and Thomas Edison, among others, never graduated from college.
A great lesson in life is to released late that the path to success and and greatness is through constant mistakes and a relentless dedication to correction. Thomas Edison was a man of mistake, Bill Gates is littered with mistakes. You too can become great if only you could sit and do the correction.
As you can see by the recent links that we have posted when you are part of rotaract you are part of rotary, when you are a part of rotary you are part of History. Be involved with an organization that has had members like: Walt Disney, The Warner bros, J.C Penny, President George Bush, President Reagan, JFK, Neil Armstrong, President Truman, Bill Gates, Jimmy carter, Thomas Edison, and FDR are just a few of the most famous Rotarians
Screw ups and losers RULE the world. Go ask Bill Gates or Thomas Edison...
