One of the paradoxes of life is that being "reasonable" often means settling for ordinary results, while success usually requires us to step out of the box , be different and, sometimes, uncomfortable. Highly successful people are, by definition, unusual people. All of us have been pressured to conform at one time or another. We've been told to "sit still" in school, to "wait for a miracle " , "pray and fast ", in church .We've been criticized for dressing, speaking, acting or thinking "different." The subtle and not-so-subtle pressures to accept conventional norms are powerful. "To get along, you have to go along." Well. Florence Nightingale, Helen Keller, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Oprah Winfrey are not admired because they were "average" people! Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison,, Franklin Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela and Bill Gates were not "conventional" people. Abraham Lincoln is widely regarded as the greatest American president, yet the thing he was most known for among his friends was his stubborn refusa ...

Jay Z on How Anyone could have been Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey or Warren Buffett
As I return from Training others in Atlanta, I realize that everyone will not see your plight to life and prosperity. Just remember that it took one Oprah Winfrey, one Michael Jordan, one Tyler Perry, or one Bill Gates. If you allow others to stop you from becoming the change in your family, you will have to accept the life THEY have for you. Imagine that!!
Alright man I'm still watching history channel and some of the billionaires had a meeting in New York in 2009 about population control and there was names from Oprah Winfrey to Bill Gates and behind closed doors some of these billionaires are giving money to the government to pass certain laws
...failure helps you think better than you previously do... I'm not more than who I am now cos I've never experience failure! I WAS BORN AN INVENTOR...BUT HOW LONG HAVE I TESTED MY ABILITY? Always scared of failing. Kayode, the time to act is now!!! Not by becoming a General in the NA that will describe you a success! Majority of the world changers are never one...I got to think really deep...I wish I could fail like Henry Ford, R.H. Macy, Soichiro Honda, Bill Gates, Akio Morita, Wilson Churchil, Thomas Edison, Oprah Winfrey, Walt Disney, Steven Spielberg, Colonel Harland David Sanders, Sir Isaac Newton, Vera Wang, Albert Einstein(the great) and many more world famous people who were painfully rejected before getting to lime light. So, who am I to say I don't want to fail giving a try? After all, there is no crime in tyring!!! I'm only going to be a looser if I eventually quit trying...Hoping for the best Lord...Praying for your grace, favour and mercy to live through the hurdles...Got no friend nor enemy ...
including but jot limited to all of Hollywood mike sayers, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey etc...
Oprah Winfrey was raped at the age of 9. Nelson Mandela was arrested for 29 years. Lionel Messi used to serve tea just to make life come by. Bill Gates is a school dropout. Mark Zukerbug was not very good at school. These are their stories. Look at them now, even though some are gone. Despite their unpleasant beginnings they have legends in all spheres of life. They are/were human, just like you and I. Brother and sister, your success is in your ability to change your mentality. YOUR PAST SHOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH YOUR FUTURE.

You can not truly achieve longevity and success without extreme failure! When you see a person who is extremely successful know that they had some extreme failure! Don't give up, never be afraid to fail, believe in the power of you, and move! Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, Steven Spielberg, Jim Carrey and yes Mykel Coleman one who was paralyzed for 8 days, one doctors said I may never walk again, one who had to go to through therapy for 6 months to learn how to walk again, one who was homeless! (This is real people, I experienced this)! See I'm not afraid to admit what I've been through because it has truly made me great, determined, and relentless, and trust and believe I am relentless for I know deep down inside God intended for me to be truly great and an extraordinary leader that will help change the world! When you feel like you've failed, find the strength in you to pull yourself together and get up because God has placed greatness within you! Inspiring Moment ...
Steve Jobs,Richard Brandson,Oprah Winfrey,Mark Zuckenberg,Henry Ford,Steven Spielberg and Bill Gates neither of them has been successful in graduating from a higher learning institution.think about it,the power is in ur hands.
I have failed so many times ... just like Michael Jordan, and Bill Gates, and Larry Ellison, and Oprah Winfrey, and Warren Buffet, and President Obama.
So you want to get a degree, why? Let me tell you what society would tell you, increases your chances of getting a job, provides you with an opportunity to be successful, your life will be a lot less stressful, education is the key. Now let’s look at the statistics, Steve Jobs’ net worth $7 billion; Richard Branson net worth $4.2 billion; Oprah Winfrey net worth $2.7 billion; Mark Zuckerberg, Henry Ford, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates now here comes ‘the coup, de grace’. Looking at these individuals, what’s your conclusion? Neither of them in being successful ever graduated from a higher learning institution, now some of you would protest like, you know money is only the medium by which one measures worldly success, some of you even have the nerve to say, I don’t do it for the money, so what are studying for? To work for a charity, need more clarity? Let’s look at the statistics, Jesus, Muhammed, Socrates, Malcolm X, Mother Teresa, Spielberg, Shakespeare, Beethoven, Jesse Owens, Muhammad Ali, ...

On behalf of Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey , myself n all other fellow billionaires in the world i wish u a good nite.
What do Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs all have in common?.
I was reading the Lawrence (aka Pravda of the Midwest) paper and came across Doonesbury . Its an everyday comic and this today's was particular silly (par for the course for this comic) . It took at cheap shot at Justice Roberts . They said that recent ruling in favor of Citizens United was screwing over the citizens of this country. Here's where the Koch Brothers come it. They were saying that these two "nasty billionaires" spent 3 times the top 10 unions combined. So what about the liberal billionaires? You know, those "freedom fighters" for the common man., fighting for the everyday citizen. OK so what about Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, etc. ? So they are clean as the driven snow? How about subjecting the common man to the spying of the NSA, which had been going on Obams's first term? Most of the newspapers, magazines, NBC/ABC/CBS stations in the US have a liberal slant. By the way, PBS and National Public Radio seem to lean towards the left. It seems all of us pay taxe .. ...

So, Puffy (Sean John Combs) is presented with an honorary Doctorate (in Humanities!!!) and asked to deliver a speech to Howards graduating class. Why are people so upset and against this? Because he dropped out after a semester of higher learning!!! He's extremely successful within his career of choice! Matter of fact, "Forbes just listed him as Hip-Hop's Wealthiest!!!" I'm just saying, "Didn't Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Frank Lloyd Wright, James Cameron, Mark Zuckerberg, Ted Turner, Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks (discovered here in Cleveland!), Lawrence Ellison, Paul Allen, Ralph Lauren, and possibly me (just kidding...). But didn't they all drop out or get kicked out! And Most if not all have giving uplifting speeches in their lives, some have even gave double commencement speeches! Come on people! "We need to get behind our "BROTHAS & SISTAHS" and stop helping these "%&^who don't want us here to begin with, tear us down!!! I'm just saying!
Has there been any billionaire without a stint of failure? My answer is a resounding no. All the billionaires I can think of has been through some sort of failure; from Donald Trump, Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller, J. Paul Getty to Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Larry Ellison, Ray Kroc and Sam Walton. So if you want to join the league of billionaires; then you must embrace failure and take giants strides without the fear of failure.
IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHO YOUR ROLE MODEL IS! Role models are important in our lives. We look up to them, learn from them, try to emulate them. After exhaustive research I found a little exercise that shows you exactly who your role model is. I don't know how, but it is 100% accurate. It consists of just a few simple steps & only takes a minute. Here it is: • Pick your favorite number between 1-9 • Multiply by 3, then add 3 • Multiply by 3 again • You'll get a 2 digit number.Add the digits together • Now match that number with these names to find your role model: 1. Einstein 2. Oprah Winfrey 3. Mother Teresa 4. Queen Elizabeth 5. Bill Gates 6. Johann Von Stueckenberg 7. Nelson Mandela 8. Babe Ruth 9. Lewis Rasmussen 10. Barack Obama
I tell ya. If talking a good game was the key to success there would be some people that would have more money than BB King's got the blues and more success than Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Bill Gates combined.

You've heard it before: "If at first you don't succeed, try again." Sometimes you may feel like that's just a saying, but it is absolutely not. The 16 incredible stories below show how even horrible tragedies and setbacks can help fuel a drive for success. Never ever give up. - Bill Gates' first business failed. - Albert Einstein didn't speak until he was four years old. - Jim Carrey used to be homeless. - Bethany Hamilton had her arm bitten off by a shark. - Benjamin Franklin dropped out of school at age ten. - Richard Branson has dyslexia. - Stephen King's first novel was rejected 30 times. - Oprah Winfrey gave birth at age 14 and lost her child. - Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before creating the light bulb. - Kris Carr turned her cancer into a business of hope and healing. - Jay-Z couldn't get signed to any record labels. - Vincent Van Gogh only sold one painting in his lifetime. - Franklin Roosevelt became partially paralyzed at 39. - Simon Cowell had a failed record company. - Charlize Theron wit ...

Sometimes we look at other people work. Example Michael Jordan, Bill Gates , President Obama. ,Oprah Winfrey, Whitney Houston, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Will Smith, Martha Stewart, Jet Lee, Alex Rodrigues your mom or your dad here on earth etc, you can add more if you know any individual work that made an impact on people lives in a positive or negative way, but that's there work and not yours unless you choose to follow there path but God made you unique just like your finger print, voice, face .We should look at the work of God to give him glory and too see how we could be used to glorify him he did create environments (land), people, precious stones (Gold), animals, fishes, birds, rain, Sand , Trees, Water, Angels, lucifer the prince of this world, forgiveness, clouds, Thunder, Air, Heaven, Insects, Fire, the sun, planets, plants, Salvation through the son, languages, knowledge, Marriage, singing, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, *** Earthquakes, the sky, Holy Spirit, and life everlasting. LET'S TALK NIGERIA.CAN YOU TELL US OF THE NIGERIA IN YOUR DREAM Someone once said “what differentiate the “Third World” from the other worlds is not skin color or location. It is neither because the later have better brain cells, it is a matter of orientation (what we believe and what we do with what we believe).” What ever happens in the human world comes from the thought of a man. Nations are built on it.territories and empires are first built in the mind. Success has a lot to do with how best we are able to create it in the quietness of our mind a mental model of our world and it is called dream. Every great personality, organization or nation we see today are products of a dream of "one man" and in some rare cases a group. Christopher Columbus had a dream and Martin Luther redefined that dream, Nelson Mandela had a dream. Bill Gates had a dream. Oprah Winfrey had a dream. Aliko Dangote had a dream, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafawa Balewa, Obafemi Awolowo all had a dream for Nigeria. The question is, wh ...

These people invested into themselves instead of some institution and look where it got them. I support education to the fullest but I believe in myself more than a piece of paper. By the way this list is WAY longer.
I realized today what I have against many in the current crop of the ultra-rich. I am happy to see people come up with an idea, build a prototype, shop it around, start production, sell a zillion units, and make a great big pile of cash. Bill Gates did an amazing job creating Microsoft out of nothing. The problem I have is that most of the new rich come out of the finance or capital "industry". They are not champions of any industry. They make nothing. I'll call them Bad Bankers, or BBs. The BB is likely to get a call from someone who DID make a company, who now wants to sell out. The BB calls some of his buddies to front the cash so they can buy it from the seller. Then, BB takes out a huge loan in his new company's name, and take an enormous bonus out of this loan proceeds. Now he finds a buyer of the company. The employees are now struggling to make enough sales to just barely pay the loan payments, and will never see a growing career as a result of being in a struggling company, but the BB is long gon ...
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Gates, Chuck Norris, Stephen Hawkings, Oprah Winfrey, Ben Carson, Liberace, Charles Krauthammer. All successful, all colors, all sexes, all orientations, not all religious. Did they all have perfect childhoods, or did they build their lives off of welfare? Seems to me they all had equal opportunity to become successful or not. Now, we can't help the genetics of what they bring to the race, but we can influence their driveto compete and potentially dominate in whatever arena they feel best suited for.
Mission One: Charity begins at home… When you don’t have philanthropists such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett or Oprah Winfrey on your Speed Dial, when your credit rating is below par and you’re working not to thrive but to simply survive, this is what you resort to—an internet call for help. For the record, this is not a public charity organization. I’m just an average Joe trying to make ends meet in difficult times and I’m hoping there are at least a few generous souls out there in the internet universe willing to help a guy who’s a little down but not out. I have established a PayPal account and a website (to facilitate donations. No donation is too small. Small donations can make a big difference and big donations can change one’s life. My story is no different from thousands, millions, perhaps, billions of others who inhabit this rock we call Earth. I’ve had a few breaks in life. I’ve also had a few setbacks. But every day I pick myself up, I dust myself off and I keep movin ...
The story of Bill Gates has been told numerous times. The legend of Nelson Mandela has had a couple of movies already. The success of Steve Jobs is forever fresh in people's minds. You don't want me started with Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Cyril Ramaphosa, Patrice Motsepe, Nicky Oppenheimer and the other successful people of our South Africa and the world. They all had a begging, and it all started as a dream. You too can have those dreams and hustle until they are realized. Go out there and hustle So cheers to the Dreamers.
To all those people who are already wealthy or working towards being wealthy, honestly you must never feel bad or guilty for being wealthy, because the wealthiest people in the world don't care what you think about them-Patrice Motsepe,Oprah Winfrey,Bill Gates,Warren Buffett,Sol Kerzner,Donald Trump,Jay-Z and all the billionaires out there-these people don't care what anybody thinks of them and they just keep getting better and better. If they don't care, why should you?
Bill Gates 72B net worth / Warren Buffett 58.5B / Michael Bloomberg 31B George Soros 20B / Oprah Winfrey 20B / Jay Rockefeller 15B...these are some of the richest people in America. all liberals...all believe in "giving and taxing"...just not theirs. when any wealthy liberal says you should have to give more...they DO mean you, and me...but not themselves. if wealthy conservatives are so horrible, what makes them any different than these people? aren't they all rich? don't they all have more money than they need? why then are the republicans the only ones ever singled out and said to be "indifferent" towards the poor, or hate them? how are these people any different? if they are so different, if they care so much for the poor, how then can they all be so rich? why is it they haven't given it all away TO the poor? I don't understand how it's ok for THESE people to have so much money and NEVER get put down for it, but any one with the title "republican" behind their names are practically tarred and feathe . ...

You've heard that Republicans are the party of the rich right? An organization called opensecrets.org keeps tabs on the top all time donors to political campaigns. Twelve out of the top 15 give almost exclusively to democrats. The remaining three are more or less balanced between the two parties. Out of the top 20 richest people in the US, the majority are democrats, and the majority of the money in that group belongs to democrats by a 2:1 ratio. People like Bill Gates (currently the richest man in the world), Paul Allen, Warren Buffett, Howard Schultz, Martha Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg, are all liberals. Most of Hollywood and the entertainment industry, the elitists in media and academia - by far mostly democrats. So where are these rich republicans?
QUOTE OF THE DAY Obama wants to condemn Romney for being wealthy, although he is not as wealthy as such Obama supporters as Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, Barbra Streisand or George Soros. Obama condemns Romney for outsourcing American jobs, even though the liberal Washington Post points out that's an outright lie, while Obama has personally overseen the out-sourcing of billions of American tax dollars to such places as China, Finland and Brazil. Whether it's because of his traumatic upbringing or his later political influences, which, by his own admission, included racists, radicals and communists, I sincerely believe that Obama has several screws loose. --- columnist Burt Prelutsky
Did you know… Billy Elliot has been seen by Hilary Clinton, Bill Gates, Hugh Jackman, Oprah Winfrey, Hugh Grant, Nicola Kidman and even HM The Queen?! Like if the show has been seen by you.
DO NOT DESPAIR By Mohammed Duba In the journey of life, one is bound to encounter storms, tribulations and challenges in a bid to achieve desired goals. Life wasn't merry for the ‘who-is-who’ in today’s world. The business tycoons, political bigwigs and talented footballers all beat odds to go down in the annals of history as heroes and heroines. Though she was repeatedly abused sexually at a tender age, Oprah Winfrey runs the biggest TV show and ranks among the richest in the world. She never allowed her past to sabotage her dreams. She overcame the difficulties of life to be where she is today. Lionel Messi worked as a waiter in order to raise money for his training and today, his performance on the pitch is amazing. The accounts of successful men like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Ben Carson and many more were constituted by a bitter past which they endured and used as a stepping stone to levels of excellence. Success comes when you do what you love to do and get committed to being the best in your fie ...
Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and Angelina Jolie have been named among the 100 Most Powerful Women in the world in a new Forbes poll. Editors ranked the Oprah at number 13 and the Beyonce at 17 -- making them the only two entertainers to crack the top 20, which German Chancellor Angela Merkel tops, followed by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and tech mogul Bill Gates' wife Melinda. Oscar winner and UN ambassador Jolie, who recently went public with her double mastectomy story, comes in at number 37 on the new list, a spot ahead of actress Sofia Vergara, and three places in front of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II at 40. Other stars who earned mentions include Vogue editor Anna Wintour (41), Lady Gaga (45), Ellen DeGeneres (51) and Shakira (52), while Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and supermodel Gisele Bundchen scraped in at 93 and 95, respectively.
Its crazy how our nation is in debt but these celebrities, musicians, and athletes make all these milions and billions of dollars. I personally think Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, and Donald Trump can pay off the national debt. Ijs
Now to the pastors and preachers of the bible and their ardent followers. Of all categories of people or professions, politicians and pastors (Christian clerics) tell the most lies. Unlike politicians, it is the nature of their profession to be crafty. But Clerics who are suppose to be apostles of truth are actually the ones who need to be told the truth. They have beguiled their followers and unsuspecting congregations with false sermons and doctrines simply to amass wealth to their pockets. One of their famous line of lies; "SOW A SEED" aka give a copious amount of money to your pastor for God to bless you. Please tell me, can God be bribed with money? Did the likes of Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates sow seed to become what they are? You can't bribe God with money. The most successful people are not even ardent church goers let alone "Seed Sowers". So why are they prospering more than the people that sow the so called seeds. The only person the "SEED" enriches is the pastor who collects it and gives ...
What do Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Henry John Heinz, Walt Disney, Milton Hershey, Soichiro Honda, Akio Morita, Bill Gates, Harland David Sanders, and Donald Trump have in common? They were all failures at some time in their life. For most, the climb to the top is plagued with adversity, stress, and a sense of self-doubt. Albert Einstein couldn’t speak until he was four or write until he was seven, making his teachers think he was handicapped. He was even expelled from school but ended up winning the Nobel Prize for physics. Thomas Edison was considered too stupid to do anything and was fired from the first few jobs he took. Oprah Winfrey was an abused child and got fired from her first TV job because “she was unfit to TV,” and Michael Jordan couldn’t even make his school basketball team. Yes it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll, as the lyrics of ACDC go. The old adage “good judgment comes from experience and most of that comes from making bad judgments,” makes sense – ...

Straight ignorance. Intelligent people understand that money is a tool, which is why you wont see Warren Buffett, Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey posing in front of cash. Flashing money or throwing it in the air makes as much sense as flashing a bag of hammers or throwing knives in the air. You wanna impress folks how about standing in front of school you built or a housing development for lower and middle income families, creating a retirement community for boxers. Cuz standing in front of money is about as impressive as standing in front of a urinal pissin' with your pants still zipped (lol) —Ádìsá

If the Home Based Business market were an industry, it would be on of the fastest growing industries in history creating more millionaires than any other industry. Although its not considered an industry, the reason why it’s growing so fast is because people want more tax deductions, people want more control. 80% of congress has a home based business. Wfet has a HBB, he owns Pampered Chef Donald J. Trump once endorsed a company not going to me mentioned, but now he has his own network marking company. Oprah Winfrey has one and so does Bill Gates, in fact he actually has 3. So what do you think we should do? I think we should join the train of highly successful people that have made millions and some billions that have jumped into this market. The reason being is because they can save more money over giving more to Uncle Sam And they can have a Multi-million dollar business with very little overhead, and very little start up cost. $50 now can save you $100's and $1,000's next tax season. www.InMyC ...
Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Carols Slim, Amancio Ortega or whoever; donate a billion dollars. You'll gain them back in an hour.
Common denominator besides the obvious wealth? One World Order philosophy? Liberal Control? Population Control? Yes, they ALL agree with Gates on that one! Bill Gates, David Rockefeller, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, George Soros, Michael Bloomberg met in NY to discuss population control (among other things). Why didn't the US media report this? Why is it that the British media are the only ones that even tried to cover this? 120 BILLION US Dollars collectively in one room, and nobody talks about it?
Whose the richest person in the world? A sir named Carlos Slim in Mexico. Bill Gates can't even touch him. Oprah Winfrey sadly is not one of the Top Ten Richest People in the World.
Fact: You can't be and you wont be rich by working for someone, because the matter of the fact is that most if not all rich people in the world works for themselves not for someone. Show me someone who is rich but he/she is working for someone, I will show you Bill Gates,Kimora Lee-Simmons, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Mittal, Warren Buffet, Henry Ford, Silvio Berlusconi, etc. all these rich people are working for themselves.
and Youworld would be a better place if we all realise that there are only two people in the world. Not man and woman, not boy and girl, not husband and wife and neither sister nor brother. The two people are Me and You. If we attest to the fact that we are just two people living on this planet, *we shall care for the needs of others *we shall not think evil of the other person *we shall help the other person in times of need. It's obvious that no single man is an island. Bill Gates, Aliko Dangote, Oprah Winfrey, the Sultan of Brunei and all those wealthy men and women out there never made it on their own, they all got help from the other person (You). You is a very strong and an influential friend who will go at all lengths to help when he's given the due respect. You is always having the majority. It's not surprising the amazing things Me and You can do if they work solemnly together. If we understand this fact, we always do our best to help our fellow friends, even strangers and enemies.
