One of the paradoxes of life is that being "reasonable" often means settling for ordinary results, while success usually requires us to step out of the box , be different and, sometimes, uncomfortable. Highly successful people are, by definition, unusual people. All of us have been pressured to conform at one time or another. We've been told to "sit still" in school, to "wait for a miracle " , "pray and fast ", in church .We've been criticized for dressing, speaking, acting or thinking "different." The subtle and not-so-subtle pressures to accept conventional norms are powerful. "To get along, you have to go along." Well. Florence Nightingale, Helen Keller, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Oprah Winfrey are not admired because they were "average" people! Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison,, Franklin Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela and Bill Gates were not "conventional" people. Abraham Lincoln is widely regarded as the greatest American president, yet the thing he was most known for among his friends was his stubborn refusa ...

Oprah Winfrey was raped at the age of 9. Nelson Mandela was arrested for 29 years. Lionel Messi used to serve tea just to make life come by. Bill Gates is a school dropout. Mark Zukerbug was not very good at school. These are their stories. Look at them now, even though some are gone. Despite their unpleasant beginnings they have legends in all spheres of life. They are/were human, just like you and I. Brother and sister, your success is in your ability to change your mentality. YOUR PAST SHOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH YOUR FUTURE.
BELOW IS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF A MAN OF GOD.I WONDER IF HE WAS IN KENYA ESPECIALLY IN KITENGELA HOW MANY CRITICS HE WOULD FACE.THIS IS WHAT WE NEED IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD? KINGDOM PALACE GET READY WE ARE GOING HIGHER THAN WHERE WE ARE !BRAVO MAJOR PROPHET!!! The BBC calls him young and charismatic. Uebert Angel is an enigma who has private audiences with heads of state, parliamentarians, philanthropists, billionaires and once the late world icon, Nelson Mandela. Business analysts have argued that his unlimited access to world leaders and leading businessmen has given Angel an advantage over his peers in the real estate business. Regardless of this, Angel, after close investigation, is one of the thousands of successful entrepreneurs across Africa who are creating million-dollar fortunes. These entrepreneurs do not inherit wealth; they earn it. The prophet, a former finance lecturer and financier by profession, has two degrees from the Salford University in Britain. He has business experience and qualifi . ...
ADDRESS THE UNDERLYING CAUSES OF PROBLEMS To create lasting change in Africa, it is necessary to make investments that treat the causes, and not just the symptoms, of under-development in Africa. We believe an undersupply of leadership across all sectors is the root cause of many of Africa’s problems. Africa needs strong leaders throughout society, in the spheres of politics, business, health care, education, the environment, and beyond, to create positive change and generate growth and prosperity. THE POWER OF ONE History has seen countless examples of the power of individual leaders to catalyze the actions of large groups of people and unleash massive positive change in society. In South Africa, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu led a peaceful transition from oppression to democracy. Wangari Maathai inspired environmental and political activism by women across Kenya. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs transformed the global economy with their innovations in computing, and Muhammad Yunus created a new path from p ...
Don’t say u don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates or Messi.
Who is the Most Popular Person in the world among those Names? (1). Barack Obama (4). Bill Gates (4). Mark Zuckerberg (5). Akpors (6). Mr Beans (7). Nelson Mandela (8). Others (mention it)
From Milton Hershey of Hershey Chocolate Company (whose businesses went bankrupt three times before he finally made it big), Henry Ford (who failed twice before Ford Motor Corporation was born) to Abraham Lincoln (who lost seven times in the Presidential elections before he finally made it), all successful people have been the biggest failures at one point or the other in their lifetimes. Every person in this world has had failures, some small, some big. There is no individual on this planet who has been a born winner and none who has never experienced any failure – from Steve Jobs to Bill Gates to Mahatma Gandhi to Nelson Mandela, all legendary icons have been as legendary in being failures at some point or the other in their lives. But the one common quality amongst all of them has been, that they’ve never given up. The resolve to fight each failure – however harsh it might be – with conviction is the attitude that these losers have had. And that’s exactly the attitude that you should cherish ...
LET'S TALK NIGERIA.CAN YOU TELL US OF THE NIGERIA IN YOUR DREAM Someone once said “what differentiate the “Third World” from the other worlds is not skin color or location. It is neither because the later have better brain cells, it is a matter of orientation (what we believe and what we do with what we believe).” What ever happens in the human world comes from the thought of a man. Nations are built on it.territories and empires are first built in the mind. Success has a lot to do with how best we are able to create it in the quietness of our mind a mental model of our world and it is called dream. Every great personality, organization or nation we see today are products of a dream of "one man" and in some rare cases a group. Christopher Columbus had a dream and Martin Luther redefined that dream, Nelson Mandela had a dream. Bill Gates had a dream. Oprah Winfrey had a dream. Aliko Dangote had a dream, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafawa Balewa, Obafemi Awolowo all had a dream for Nigeria. The question is, wh ...

The Matric Outcomes and Graduate Outcomes in South Africa do they meet economic needs or demands? But I think as Black Africans we are fairly doing good academically looking back were we come from and disadvantages we are faced with learning in languages which are foreign to us and adapting to alien cultures but we manage to strive. The is one thing that I am concerned about what are we doing to improve the lives of our communities and continent? If these one thing I can bet with, we can compete globally as Africa with our counterparts such as Asia and America. I was really inspired by some guy I saw on TV from some Township in Pretoria who is going on a space trip.Sometimes I feel proud to have grown in the township, one thing I can tell you ladies the next Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Patrice Motsepe and Nelson Mandela you are going to get him in townships or villages not in Sandton or somewhere in camps bay reason being that hunger for success.
The story of Bill Gates has been told numerous times. The legend of Nelson Mandela has had a couple of movies already. The success of Steve Jobs is forever fresh in people's minds. You don't want me started with Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Cyril Ramaphosa, Patrice Motsepe, Nicky Oppenheimer and the other successful people of our South Africa and the world. They all had a begging, and it all started as a dream. You too can have those dreams and hustle until they are realized. Go out there and hustle So cheers to the Dreamers.

(by Simon Kapenda) Family legacies such as those of Nelson Mandela, Sam Nujoma, Martin Luther King Jr, JF Kennedy, Barack Obama, Aupa Indongo, Bill Gates, etc., are created by not everyone in the family, but just one in the family who stands up to do something different and be so persistent until that someone realizes his or her dream. And that dream eventually becomes the legacy of the whole family. I hope you're pursuing your dream. I hope you're the one in your family that will one day make your family to be remembered for hundreds of years to come. I hope you're the one with a dream and you refuse to let your current circumstances kill your dream. I hope you can stand up and face the struggle now so you can make your dream come true and then enjoy the best fruit of your dream later. Don't give up on your dream, no matter who says what, no matter how difficult the situation may be, keep on doing what you believe is right for you, your family and your community. If you don't stand up and do it, no one e ...
One of them has just departed. R.I.P Mandela. You have done the world proud Champions: are you one of them? . They traverse uncharted paths, try many times, fail most of those times, but one thing describes them: they never give up. Yes, they get discouraged many times but weather the storms and carry on with their quest. They never do it for fame, but fame is always, yes, always their portion. Many of them try to shy away from recognition, but the stern stuff that they are made of endears them to the high and mighty, for they too belong there. Florence Nightingale, Mother Theresa, Mwai Kibaki, Nelson Mandela, Jomo Kenyatta, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Julius Nyerere, Bill Gates, John Garang, Ngugi wa Thiongo….. and may be you? Only you can answer this. .This almost always mild-mannered breed makes history; they set the pace for world transformation in any field. They determine how the future will be fashioned; they stand out from the crowd. They have as many admirers as they have loathers. They determine h ...

I don't recognize this person, but I would say in general that the meme makes a good point that a person's politics and convictions should say the same thing. I would point to Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates, Ellen Degeneres, and Johnny Depp as a few voices in the public sector who, in my opinion, live up to this challenging ideal of personal authenticity.
Nothing makes for greatness like scriptural mental REVOLUTION,Rom 12:2. Every great story that has moved and changed the world for the better has its ROOT in mental awakening. Ask the Nelson Mandela,Bishop David Oyedepo, Bill Gates,President Obama. This day,DARE to believe that within u is all is required to storm this planet earth with heaven. U are God-send key to unlock greatness in all that cross ur path.
Albert Estein, Isaac Newton, Steven Job, Martin Luther Jr., Bill Gates, Osama Bin Laden, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, Aliko Dangote, Nelson Mandela; but how would you loved to be remembered?
Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Patrice Motsepe, Julius Malema, Bill Gates, Doctor Khumalo, Nkosi Johnson, Jacob Zuma, etc In life you choose how to be remembered, what your name should be associated with. Everyday we give ourself tags by what we do, whether bad or good. At Sasol, Sasolburg.
Here is just a little mid day motivation for my fb family i love being the one to inspire my friends to want and achieve more so take this one with a receptive heart and see where it puts you emotionally. The 2 Ss and Acceptance Life's circumstances are not always what you might wish them to be. The pattern of life does not necessarily go as you plan. Beyond any understanding, you may at times be led in different directions that you never imagined, dreamed, or designed. Yet if you have never put any effort into choosing a path, or tried to carry out your dream, then perhaps you would have no direction at all. Rather than wondering about or questioning the direction your life has taken, accept the fact that there is a path before you. Not a single person existed or exists or will ever exist without having hurdles or any personal pains. Joyce Meyer, Oprah Winfrey, Helen Keller, Bill Gates, Lionel Messi, Steve Jobs, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa or how about the MJ (EITHER ONE OF THEM FOR THAT MATTER) OR WH ...
Any vision that is not problem solving or value adding oriented is not a vision from God. Any vision that puts you makes you first and others lasts is a selfish idea n its not from God. The pursue of same results in a crash of destiny. The pursue of self based vision leads to slavery but the pursue of people based n destinies changing vision is what leads to greatness. Use the vision of Gideon, Nehemiah, Moses n Jesus in the Bible as a case study Use the vision of Nelson Mandela, Henry Ford, Mother Theresa, Sam Watson n Bill Gates in the contemporary to understand this concept. God bless u!
What's determination... Cripple him, you've Sir Walter Scott. Raise him in abject poverty, you've Abraham Lincoln. Strike him down with infantile disease, you've Franklin Roosevelt. Call him stupid and boring, you've Bill Gates. Imprison him, you've Nelson Mandela. Deafen him, you've Ludwig Beethoven. Blind him, you've Ray Charles. Bury him in snow, you've George Washington. Call him a slow learner and uneducable, you've Albert Einstein. Enslave him, you've Spartacus. That's the power of determination.

Don't think you have to look a certain way or do like somebody else did to be taken seriously or to become successful. Drown out the voices that drown out your originality. If you are serious about your passion, it will show & if you focus, you will grow! Do you think Oprah, Nelson Mandela, MLK, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs were taken seriously or looked the part right away? No! So why listen to folks who do not have the final answer? Who can call it final, when God says, it's just your beginning?
The greatest mind of our lifetime are not necesary the coolest people in the world. They don't go around ballin' & poppin' bottles JUST NJE.They generally keep a low profile. They're humble & they don't spend their time shinnin the spotlight on their achievement or boastin about their millions. I think having alot of cash can be very difficult coz although every1 wants friends-it's difficult to know if people likes you for you or for your cash. Nelson Mandela,Steve Jobs,Bill Gates,Oprah & Mother Theresa are just some of example of international Icons who have been around in our lifetime. These are the names we know and lots of respect for.People who have overcome their hardships & worked with determination to make their dreams reality. But somehow young people don't aspire to be like these game changers.Instead we look up to Lil Wayne,Rick Ross & the likes of Khanyi Mbau. I think we need to focus less on hustling & more on studying. We need to learn to understand the world we live in.There is no excuse fo ...

Greatness in our materialistic world is defined as fame, popularity, scholastic or economic achievement, and notoriety. GREATNESS MAY RESULT FROM THESE QUALITIES, BUT THEY ARE NOT THE DEFINITION OF GREATNESS. Greatness may best be defined by the people throughout history whom we consider great. Among those who would be considered great in the context of their influence and impact on human society are such names as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther, Martin Luther King, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, George Washington Carver, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Mahatma Gandhi, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Alexander Graham Bell, Albert Einstein, Babe Ruth, Jesse Owens, Florence Nightingale, Helen Keller, Pablo Picasso, Sam Walton, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, the Wright Brothers, Steven Jobs, and Bessie Coleman.

I would have chosen Bill Gates too! We also have Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Dalai Lama, et al., as contenders. :D
Are you a visionary, dreamer, or are you "stuck in reality"? Visionaries see what isn't here and invest the time, energy, and money to make it reality. Visionaries invest in impacting their and future generations. Dreamers have a goal they can see and reach for it. Dreamers seek to make things better for "me and mine". Those "stuck in reality" can't see past the here and now. Their emotions, actions, decisions, thoughts, aspirations, and work ethic are all centered on what is happening right now and what I can get my hands on right now. Which are you? If in a room with the likes of Bill Gates, Nelson Mandela, Jesus Christ, Marva Collins, Dr. Martin Luther King, and other visionaries that have passed through time, would you think them crazy or say why not to their visions? Think about it. God bless you and He and I love you.
