![]() Today, I spoke as a panelist at Bergen Community College on the forum titled "Latinos In Suburbia" which discussed social, cultural, educational, and economic impact of the growth of the Latino population in suburban neighborhoods, including neighborhoods that have not been accustomed to community diversity. It was an empowering and enlightening forum that was well-attended by students and community leaders in Bergen County, New Jersey. The forum was part of Bergen Community College's Hispanic Heritage Month series of events. Bergen Community College is the largest community college in New Jersey. I proudly serve as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

![]() The 6th Annual Paramus Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk — held in honor of my father-in-law, Ron Weber — takes place tomorrow, September 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Bergen Community College at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus, NJ. Over the past five years, the Paramus Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk has raised over $750,000, every penny of which has gone toward research. The Walk raises funds for The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. There are no early detection methods for pancreatic cancer, no effective treatments and no cure.
