I highly recommend the movie "Gifted Hands-The Story of Ben Carson" that we just watched on Netflix. It's a very inspiring and dynamic true story of a disadvantaged boy who was failing in elementary school. The film shows the influence a strong mother can have on encouraging her child to become the best he can be through education. Dr. Carson became a world-famous pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The film is adapted from the book.
