Jose Jose is like Sinatra, Elvis, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond and Christopher Cross all rolled into one. With more cocaine. A lot more.
Sorry, ladies of a certain age, re: Barry Manilow. You still have Neil Diamond.
I am playing a 2 hour set tonight at Cafe the Lodge Southside Bethlehem 6PM-8PM (same side as Godfrey Daniel's but further up a couple miles) - Piano/Vocals with songs by Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Sedaka, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Elvis Costello etc etc etc - Hope to see you there God Bless and have a safe and happy Friday!
Positivity Day 6 . 1. I am thankful that I had an opportunity to meet my relatives in the Philippines ...Marlon Francis Reyes, Malou Reyes- Limbo, Ramil Limbo, my first cousins - Elena and Glory, and meet new friends - Debbie Dollete, Eliz Salvador Ramos who have expanded my world many thousands of miles away. :-) 2. I am thankful for the great people I worked with at MGH including Patti Dlouhy, Sherri Springhetti Patterson, Jane Jaquays Carver, Kathy, Lynne, and Thelma. We had a great time around that "lunch table". A very special group of people. 3. I am thankful for my theater buddy, Jill Beck. Over the years we have sat through absolutely fabulous theater presentations and then there were "Stones in their Pockets" and "Big River" which were absolutely awful! In addition we have seen CHER, The Beach Boys, Billy Joel, Tony Bennett, Neil Diamond and probably say too many times .Barry Manilow. My husband, Gerry Danzey, is also very grateful to Jill because he doesn't have to go! Okay, I have onl ...
I have a fond memory of my mom cleaning house and blasting Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow lol
Yeah, you have your cool playlists, but buried somewhere in your iTunes library are songs by Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow. If not, name your embarrassing guilty pleasures.
Spring cleaning with Barry Manilow and he brought some friends-Neil Sedaka, Bee Gees, Kenny Rogers, Karen Carpenter, Air Supply, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand. I love Pandora! Tomorrow Elvis!
I've just been going over the events of this past year, and cannot believe all that has transpired. Another fantastic year with my Brooksie, another great year at Pact, still missing my Mom like crazy, went to the Inauguration with one of my besties, got a new niece, traveled to 3 continents, got into the amazing Choral Arts Society of Washington, went to 7 different countries, played the piano at Abbey Road studios, sang with Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Andrea Bocelli, first gigs on television, the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap and the Verizon Center, took a couple of hours at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, went on a safari in the Maasai Mara... met countless amazing people, got to know the amazing people I already have met a bit better, and continue to love my family with all the fiber of my being. It's been a blessed year, indeed. I'm a very fortunate gal.

Okay, Mike N Mona Hall, here are my 6. 1. I broke my nose 3 times in less than a year. 2. I love severe weather and wanted to be a storm chaser. 3. After watching the Iran-Contra hearings the summer between my sophomore and junior years of high school, I decided I wanted to go to the Air Force Academy, major in law and then after my military service was over, become a US Senator. 4. I met Dan Dierdorf in an elevator with Christy Lynn Backlund. 5. I enjoy the music stylings of Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, The Eagles and Milli Vanilli. I am musically schizophrenic. 6. Dogs, alligators, elephants, chickens, mice, spiders, snakes, cows, horses, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, ostriches, camels, monkeys, you get the idea. Did I mention chickens???

Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond and the National Symphony Orchestra performed at the National Mall Thursday during the "Capitol Fourth" show.

Great 4th of July show on PBS,especially because of Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond,of course. Nice 2 meet others on July 4th at Paneras in middle of day. Friday was an unexpected day of fun with Bill,Liz,and Mariska 4 movie, supper, cards and scrabble.
Hello, everyone! Chad here. I hope you are all doing well! I spent Thursday night watching the Macy's and the Capitol 4th Of July celebrations. I would like to state my personal opinion that they had no idea how to celebrate America (except Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond). Blender knew how. We celebrated states, songwriters, and citizens. We celebrated our military, the flag, God, and our friends. I think we may have done it better than anyone. That's just my opinion... Thanks to the band and all of you who celebrated with us. Have a great Independence Day weekend!
I watched the concert on July 4th on PBS. Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow and many others. It was a good concert, but I have to say I'm truly disappointed in Barry Manilow for the way he treated an audience member. He was singing "Can't smile without you, and stepped down into the audience to let people sing with him. The first lady he held the microphone out to was just a little hesitant, and not a very good singer. He waved his hand in the air in a disgusted manner and walked away leaving her standing there looking confused and embarrassed. The camera caught it all. He continued on to sing with several other people who weren't too good either, but he didn't show them any disrespect. I kept hoping he would walk back to the first lady and let her try one more time, but he didn't. Shame on you Barry. You aren't who I thought you were, now that I see who you are.
The Capital Fourth was so much better than the Macy's fireworks show last night. Not only did it feature LIVE singing from Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, the cast of Motown the Musical, Jackie Evancho & many others, it was far more upbeat, patriotic and just overall produced better. They gave a nod to Lincoln on this the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg. Gave a nod to first responders and had some from Boston there. Salute to the troops. So many things that Macy's missed or just flat out dropped the ball.
Wayne and I watched A Capitol Fourth and Barry Manilow looks like a puppet so many facelifts, on the other hand Neil Diamond looks great aging normally. Why do people want to look unnatural and not age the way God intended us too. "OLD FARTS RULE "!
Good Morning! Happy Friday. I hope you had a fabulous 4th. I stayed home and watched "A Capitol Fourth" on PBS. It was hard to rock to Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond, but after three glasses of wine it eventually got a lot easier. In the news today: According to the Daily Telegraph, Marcus Setchell, Queen Elizabeth's former gynecologist, will deliver Kate's baby. At a charity cricket match he said he's "sworn off drinking." “He said he’s got to be primed and ready for the call from the Palace at any moment,” a guest said. “He hasn’t touched a drop for two weeks.” (quote from Daily Telegraph) Okay, I'll get serious now. Egypt is gearing up for more protests. The Muslim Brotherhood will gather to show its displeasure over Mohammad Morsi's ouster. Things could get really ugly. We will cover the Zimmerman trial in its entirety today. Trayvon Martin's mother is expected to take the stand. She will most likely identify the screaming on the 9-1-1 tape. Hope to see you at 9 and 10 AM ES.
Barbara and I had a very relaxing 4th. Enjoyed BBQ pulled pork with lots of sauce on Kaiser Rolls, Smoked Spicy Saucsage, Tater Salad, Slaw and Baked Beans and Coke. Two big hunks of water melon for desert. BURP! Enjoyed watching Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond onf PBS's live broadcast of A Capitol Fourth with fireworks, then Macy's fireworks live on the Hudson River. Sky rockets still going of all around our neighborhood. Happy 4th Y'All!
Hey All, Just finished watching the Capitol Fireworks from DC on PBS, then watched the Macy's Fireworks from New York on NBC and I can say the Big Apple still knows how to show off there talents. PBS was showing Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond while the Macy's show was hitting it off with sound tracks of some of the best artist one would want to hear on the Fourth of July. I loved the Jimi Hendrick piece as well as the MLK portion and of course the Sam Cooke song, Its Been A Long Time Coming. That fireworks display lasted more than a half an hour. I was thrilled. You know as Black folks in America we have not had much to be cheerful for but this is the only country we have lived in and truly know so I cherish it with reservations but cherish it. So, I may have left New York many years ago but I am and always will be a New Yorker in particular a Brooklynite or let me go one step further, from Gowanus Projects. For those who don't know what its like to grow up in a project in New York you just can't i ...
I didn't think the 4th could get much better. I was wrong! Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow and Jackie Evanko on one show. And then Tim Mcgraw and Selana Gomez on another. Oh Heck Yay!!! Sang Sweet Caroline and America with Neil. Family did not appreciate it. Too bad. I am happy.
You've got to check out the live July 4th show from Washington on PBS tonight. Although its nearly over now, with a huge fireworks show soon to wrap it up, PBS replays it again at 9:30. Barry Manilow is great, but Neil Diamond is awesome, about 45 minutes in.
What do Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, American Idol Scott McCeery, "Glee" star Darren Criss, and Broadway/TV star Megan Hilty all have in common? They will share the stage with members of "Pershing's Own" at tonight's PBS broadcast of A Capitol Fourth. Tune in at 8pm Eastern on your local PBS station. And Happy Independence Day!!!
Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow on PBS "A Capitol Fourth" tonight. Cher featured on NBC Macy's "Fireworks Spectacular" at 7 .
I went to the rehearsal of the Capitol Fourth. It was quite a production. Tom Bergeron is the host. Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, and someone from the TV show Glee were singing. We had to have our bags searched just to get into the Capitol grounds. The symphony orchestra practiced sound effects to some taped fireworks. The real ones will be tonight. It was very hazy yesterday, and I don't think my pictures turned out.
Last night's "A Capitol Third" (aka dress rehearsal for tonight's "A Capitol Fourth") was amazing. Highly recommend the show -- great performances by Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Scotty Mccreery, Motown the Musical and others, with backing vocals from Julie and her The Choral Arts Society of Washington friends. Tune in tonight at 8pm on PBS for the full airing of A Capitol Fourth -- check local listings to confirm. Very proud of Julie!
Got downtown to the Capitol Fourth dress rehearsal last night. It was awesome, with a manageable crowd. performers included Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond, and a couple entertainers from the Motown musical, you know, singer from our generation! All the singer were wonderful and really moved the crowd. Neil Diamond did Sweet Caroline and everyone joined in (not just Redsox fans) and went crazy.
And Happy fourth of July !! Off to the Command Bunker...Half Million people converging on the Mall, the President having a huge party for Military families on the South Lawn, and Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow with the American Idol folks at the Capitol Concert. (Live on PBS Channels near you) Its gonna be a busy day for my crews !
Performing tonight at the fireworks here in DC are John Williams, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Scotty Mcreery, and Darren Criss.
Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond will be DC today. I blame Republican Bigotry Hate Fear Lies and Distortion for this tragedy. LMFAO.
Enjoyed seeing Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, and others on a beautiful night in front of the capitol on Happy 4th of July Eve. I love living near DC!
So while all you common people were at home preparing for the 4th I was with friends at the Capitol watching the full dress rehearsal of a Capital Fourth! Which included Barry Manilow, the cast from the Broadway play Motown, Scotty Mccreery, Megan Hilty from Wicked, the winner of this years American American Idol, Jackie Echavano (sp) and my all time fave - NEIL DIAMOND! So after a great dinner at Murphy's Irish Pub that's where we headed! It was a great night with fun friends!
So the Capitol concert rehearsal ended with Neil Diamond (Sweet Carolining), Barry Manilow, and Beethoven's 5th, complete with CANNONS!
Hey I will see your Barry Manilow and raise you a Neil Diamond
Time for sleep after a LONG day. Planning on going to the Capitol Fourth rehresal in the evening--with the National Symphony, Barry Manilow, and Neil Diamond. And hitting the museums as well.
You KNOW you're getting old when your playlist on your iHeart radio station plays Neil Diamond, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Carole King, Barry Manilow, Air Supply, Little River Band and Ambrosia!!!.and you're actually ENJOYING IT on the long ride home! YIKES!
One thing I find really annoying on iTunes is their 'recommended for You' selection of 'You bought this, so you might also like this'. I hate the idea that this faceless corporate machine thinks it knows me just because I bought 'Forever in Blue Jeans' by Neil Diamond. The presumption that because I bought that 1979 up-tempo classic I might also like 'Bandstand Boogie' by Barry Manilow is patronising at best and a bit Skynet at worst. The worst thing is, 9 times out of 10, it's bloody right!
“Who Writes the Songs” is a title of a Neil Diamond hit, (I think ! Could be Barry Manilow.) Who writes the speeches is a question, “ the whole world” wants to know. “From the heart, comes the issues of life"; What if you had no words to speak? Could you at least make a conversation of human interest, you know some small talk, the weather, the game last night, maybe a funny story, or quote Joe B., to show you have a heart.something beside blaming others for NOT putting words in your mouth, or on the podium, or on the teleprompter. I just heard a click on my computer. ! There is a black truck out front and it ain’t Waste Management. Pray for America and those who defend her, that would be the Honorable Servicemen and Women, you and me. TJS
I don't care if I am an old fart! My favorite music is still Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Simon and Garfunkel, Bread, and all the singer-songwriters from the 60's and 70's!
Saturday evening and I find myself looking to download/stream old 70's/80's movies and tunes. 'Seems Like Old Times', 'Silver Streak', and 'Foul Play', and then Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond - there's overlaps there, and reminds this child of the 70's of his mom's favorites! For dad's, I'll soon be trying to find 'The Magnificent Seven', 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid', 'The Great Escape', and 'Bullit'. Geez, finish w/ Neil Simon, and then onto Mel Brooks - hope one of these 'services' streams 'Young Frankenstein'.
I think what the world needs now is for Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Engelbert Humperdinck and Tom Jones to get together and do a Wu-Tang cover cd. The world is waiting.
I think some of Barry Manilow's music is freaken Awsome !! So dont make fun, And No ! This doesn't make me *** ! Rock On Barry !!
If you play a Neil Diamond song backwards, do you get Barry Manilow?
Barry Manilow. Paul Simon. Neil Diamond. Jim Croce.---Reasons why yesterday's music is far superior to today's
Happy Wednesday morning everyone!! So, I got clobbered by some for admitting to liking Barry Manilow yesterday. I will say it again...I love Barry and his many new faces. And, while I am at it..I also think Neil Diamond isn't too shabby either. "I Am" and I said it...any out there who agrees?
Top 5 Jewish Musicians of all time via Billboard: 1)Billy Joel, 2)Neil Diamond, 3)Barbra Streisand, 4)Barry Manilow and 5).Paula Abdul?? Really?! Billboard?!! Top 5?!!! For some reason I find that very hard to believe. (nothing against Miss Paula but...)
Eli's doing an elective project with American Heroes. David suggested that he include some Jewish American heroes. Eli asked, "Like who?" Here's the list we've come up with so far: Mark Spitz, Sandy Kofax, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Barney Frank, Harvey Firestein, Isaac Mizrahi, Steven Spielberg and Barbara Streisand. That's quite a list. Please feel free to add your own suggestions.
I'm in the mood to listen to Barry Manilow.. and Simon & Garfunkel, and Neil Diamond.
Oh, just heard about Andy Williams. Grew up listening to crooners like him, Tony Christie, Johnny Mathis, Neil Diamond & Barry Manilow. RIP

getting ready to hit downtown in Hood River. FOOD is first priority! Then shopping, then beer!! The karaoke needs to be updated here big time! It is sad when they have more Barry Manilow songs than Def Leppard and Neil Diamond! We still had a great time though!
State fair starts friday work tommorrow Bankers Life fieldhouse. Barry Manilow concert load in... To bad they did not put Neil Diamond with him lol
I'm a little more excited than I'm willing to admit about seeing Barry Manilow at Chastain Sunday night. This makes my nerd trifecta complete: Neil Diamond in June. Kenny Rogers/Glen Campbell in July, now this. I understand if any of you want to un-friend me because of this, but I walk with my head held high.
I feel the same way about Neil Diamond as well as Barry Manilow! They both rock!
Got an invite to see Barry Manilow, so my vacation started with Neil Diamond and ends with "Mandy" What a wonderful week off! Thank you Barb for thinking of me.
Thou Shalt not speak ill of my Beloved Duran Duran, Rick Springfield, Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow.
Summerfest tomorrow! Neil Diamond.can't wait! 3 weeks ago it was Barry Manilow at the Resch in GB. Only need Willie Nelson now!!!
A TRUE Rock-Roll Rebel is someone that can go from listening to Ozzy Osbourne to Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow. LOL
I'm waiting for a producer to sample Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow...That would be dope...
I'd rather go on the Neil Diamond cruise. Or *** even Barry Manilow.
2am is NOT a good time for an impromptu Neil Diamond concert in my head. Argh. At least if it was Barry Manilow, I'd know the words. Double argh!
Heading home in August and looked to see what's playing the the Hollywood Bowl and the Greek and Nothing I can drag my brother, sister and sister-in-law to. Neil Diamond is playing on the 11th. Then I checked for Barry (Yes, I love Barry) Manilow in Nashville, can you believe his tickets for the floor are $400.00. Dang...guess I'm listening to "Cant smile without you" on the i-pod.
Dude! My Pandora is all about some Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond, Wayne Newton, Chicago, BeeGee's.. Easy listening to classics!
Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Peter Allen. I'm also down and hip to the groove with the new tunes like One Erection...
OK, here is a question. In our HS days 78-80, we had 4 of the best singers. Neil Diamond, Barbara Streisand, Kenny Rogers and Barry Manilow. Correct me if I'am wrong, but all but Barry have "stared" in a movie. If so, what was the name? I have personally met with Kenny Rogers and Neil Diamond and they are the nice's people to just sit and chat with. I feel that it's time for Barry Manilow to do his life story on film.
Wow...Barry Manilow, Love him! How does he sound in person? I wish he and Neil Diamond would team up.
