Holidays I finished work yesterday and am really looking forward to the break. I have had a great year and am so thankful for that. Andrea's post I have a friend very dear to me who is a sufferer of fibro like myself. She has applied for disability pension and been knocked back once, then appealed having fulfilled the areas they asked her to and has now been knocked back again after 3 months of waiting. She is suffering badly and doesn't know how she will support herself. This time the reason was she hadn't had it long enough (2 1/2 years). I was granted disability pension first try 18 months ago having had fibro for 10 years, but 2 or 10 years,pain and the way this insidious illness affects our lives is with us 24/7. What do people suggest should be the next step? This friend has had doctors ,and various supporting medical experts letters supporting her claim. Thanks for any helpful hints or ideas.

Volunteers are an absolutely essential part of Aviano Air Base. We routinely rely on volunteers to make things happen on the base, and this was the case during the Bella Befana Bazaar. It took me a while, but I eventually tracked down and coined all eight Airmen singled out by the Bella Befana Bazaar Committee leadership as having gone “well above and beyond” in supporting this huge community event. She rushed to the interview place, but had to wait till 2pm since it's lunch time...At 2.15pm, she went to the secretary, who told her she would have to wait till 3. ...
