Louis Van Gaal wants to quickly sign Mats Hummels, Marco Reus and Arturo Vidal when he begins his job at Man United.
With Juventus manager resigning, Manchester United's €35 million deal for Arturo Vidal could be sealed up quite soon. Especially as Louis Van Gaal takes over as United boss today, we could see the seal gather a little more pace. Not only could we see the arrival of the beat box-to-box player in the world, but its reported that United are close to signing wing-wizard, Angel Di Maria on a fee of £38 million. Just costing more than what we paid for Juan Mata. We could potentially see a new face BEFORE the MUFC preseason tour starts on Friday. Although there are no guarantees. One thing Manchester United fans including I can look forward to, is how LvG goes about his wanted men, Mats Hummels and Marco Reus. If we bring in these men: Reus, Di Maria, Hummels, Vidal and Vermaelen as well as the two new faces we have already brought in, we could be looking at a new title winning side totally refurbished side from what we saw last year. (Sorry for the long read) -Wario.

According to the paper United recognise that their squad is, how you say, a bit bobbins, and are looking to make five more signings of Mata's calibre. They might not come in this transfer window, with most of their business likely to be done in the summer, but if the paper is right then it might be quite some business. The Times claims: 'They are looking for top full-backs on either flank, at least two midfielders and another leading forward. Moves are being considered for Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos and Mario Mandzukic, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal of Juventus, Inter Milan's Fredy Guarin, FC Porto's Fernando Reges and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.' Apparently they're keeping tabs on Glen Johnson's situation at Liverpool, which brings the frankly hilarious prospect of United's fans' reaction if they replace Rafael with him. Elsewhere, The Daily Star Sunday claims United have made a 'big offer' - specifically, worth about £22.5million - for Luke Shaw, and they're now waiting on a response from Southampton ...
Gary Neville: "If you took Paul Pogba, Marco Reus, Luke Shaw and Arturo Vidal - they would fit into Manchester United's philosophy. Lucas Moura would and Ilkay Gundogan and Julian Draxler would. They are young players who have still not reached their full potential and have the potential to go on to be world-class players. They are good players at the moment and that fits the Manchester United mould of how they have historically signed, more often than not."
Neil Ashton: Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan, Fabio Coentrao, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal are among the names in circulation at Manchester United. Aside from their wage demands, here are the two questions they will be asking of chief executive Ed Woodward: When is Wayne Rooney signing a new deal and when is Robin Van Persie going to play again injury-free. The fact that neither question can be answered by Moyes or Woodward is hardly a great selling point for one of the biggest clubs in world football.
~Marco Reus , Juan Mata & Arturo Vidal would be a great signing~
we need to sign Arturo Vidal,. Mats Hummels, and either Juan Mata,Koke or Marco Reus we need to spend that money or no top four
5) United desperately need a creative midfield player 22 goals from 15 games is hardly the goal scoring return you expect from the champions of England. However, that has been the disappointing case with Manchester United this season who have clearly lacked that creative spark in the midfield. With Michael Carrick injured and Paul Scholes now retired, United have struggled to open up defenses where they seem to have run out of ideas as was quite evident in the recent home defeats against Everton and Newcastle United. Cleverley, Anderson and Fellaini are certainly not helping Moyes solve this problem. And therefore, the Scot needs to make sure that the mistakes committed in the summer transfer window are not repeated in January when the window re-opens. He desperately needs someone who can link the midfield and attack and drive the team forward. Players like Marco Reus, Arturo Vidal, Ander Herrera, Lars Bender, Ross Barkley et al are perfect to complement the United midfield and are currently been linked . ...
