Juventus coach Antonio Conte has insisted that Arturo Vidal will not leave the club, amid speculation that Manchester United are keen to buy the Chilean midfielder. Manchester United director Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted in Turin sitting next to Conte at the Europa League final earlier this month and it was suggested the Scot had sounded out Juventus over a deal for Vidal. But Conte has no intention of letting the former Bayer Leverkusen player leave Turin. "Until I see evidence to the contrary, Vidal will be here next season too." [Source: Gazzetta dello Sport]
In this column I will be looking to analyse our transfer targets, who are linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer. The main goal will be to bring world-class striker with killer instinct, left-back to replace Ashley Cole and central midfielder who can, with his creativity provide a key passes and crosses to team-mates... LUKE SHAW - Fantastic 18-year-old left-back is wanted by plenty big clubs, among them is Chelsea, and the crucial could be the fact he's Chelsea fan. In addition, his idol is Ashley Cole. His price is 13 million according to Transfermarkt, however Southampton will probably ask 30 million. This season he played 40 games for Saints, 33 in the league. He's also included in PFA Team of the Year, and would be perfect replacement for Cole. ALBERTO MORENO - 21-year old Sevilla left-back is among the best three-backs in La Liga. One of the bigest talents in Spain in the moment, and is, alongside Bacca and Rakitic, the most responsible player for winning the Europa League trophy. His ...
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson made it clear to Antonio Conte that the Red Devils want Arturo Vidal while sat next to the Juve boss during last night's Europa League final, with Bianconeri chiefs reportedly only willing to consider the idea if they receive a concrete offer of €40m. Vidal has been nothing short of sensational for Juve across the last three years and his last season managed to maintain that high standard, scoring a whopping 18 goals in all competitions from a roaming midfield role. United are long-term admirers of the Chilean international alongside Real Madrid, which lead Ferguson to take advantage of extended time in Conte's company while the pair watched Sevilla vs. Benfica to make it clear the Red Devils are interested, according to Italian publication Sport Mediaset. Juve are preparing for another fierce fight to keep all of their top stars this summer and Vidal is no different to the likes of Paul Pogba and Carlos Tevez, with a minimum price tag of €40m placed ...
Within a day of Sir Alex Ferguson being spotted sitting next to Juventus boss Antonio Conte at the Europa League final, rumours linking Manchester United to Arturo Vidal have really gathered pace. Italy’s Sports Mediaset suggested Fergie had discussed a €32m offer for Vidal and now two more names have been thrown into the hat in Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are also keen on Vidal this summer. The reports have been picked up in Spain by Sport and from United’s perspective, competing against Madrid for a player is not one of our favourite past-times in recent memory. Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil, Luka Modric and Raphael Varane all chose Madrid over Manchester and with the potential of being European champions next year, Madrid would be an enticing prospect for any of the world’s best players. As for Barcelona, they have a chance to salvage something from a poor season when they take on Atletico Madrid this weekend as a win will see them lift the La Liga title and now that their transfer embargo has b ...
Fergie presents United’s €32m offer for Vidal and Juventus ready to sell Manchester United have offered Juventus €30-32m for Arturo Vidal and it was put forward to Antonio Conte by Sir Alex Ferguson, according to Sport Mediaset in Italy. Fergie was at the Europa League final in Turin last night pictured sitting next to Conte and reports now suggest an offer was discussed for Vidal. It is suggested that Juventus are ready to sell Vidal but only if their €40 million price is met. United should bite Juventus’ arm off for Vidal at €40 million. It would be an absolute steal. Approximately £5 million more than we spent on Marouane Fellaini for the best midfielder in his position in the world? It seems too good to be true (which inevitably means it probably is). However, that Juventus hold Paul Pogba in higher regard than Vidal and if they are going to have to lose one of them this summer to a big money big, they would probably prefer it to be Vidal. In that scenario, United should oblige and pay wh ...
Still in charge Fergie? Sir Alex 'makes £26m bid' for Arturo Vidal Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has tabled a sensational £26million bid for Juventus star Arturo Vidal. By: Anthony Chapman. Thu, May 15, 2014 Reports in Italy claim that Ferguson met with the Serie A winners' coach Antonio Conte at last night's Europa League final to discuss a deal which would see the Chilean midfield maestro make the switch from Turin to Trafford. Ferguson, who retired after last year's title-winning campaign, was a regular face in the crowd during David Moyes' nightmare reign at the Theatre of Dreams, and many believe the 72-year-old Scot is still working his magic behind the scenes as the club prepares for a second shot at a new era. With Holland boss Louis Van Gaal still waiting to be appointed to the Old Trafford hot seat, Ferguson and the Red Devils board are looking to secure at least one major signing before the summer's rebuilding gets fully underway. Juve boss Conte is open to selling Vidal as ...

Gianluigi Buffon PRAISES FIORENTINA QUALITY The veteran goalkeeper has conceded that the Viola caused the Old Lady problems with their skilful players. Gianluigi Buffon has admitted that Fiorentina's individual quality made life difficult for Juventus in Thursday's Europa League clash as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Turin. Arturo Vidal gave the Serie A champions an early lead, but Mario Gomez salvaged a late draw for Vincenzo Montella's men and Buffon was quick to heap praise upon the Germany international. "We were up against a team featuring important individuals who can hurt you with just one move," the goalkeeper told reporters. "Gomez did well. He's a world-class player, not someone who's just burst onto the scene." Juventus beat Fiorentina 1-0 at the weekend in Serie A and Buffon was hopeful they could get a similar result, but conceded they were unable to play their own game. "We wanted to handle the game in the same way we did on Sunday, unfortunately it didn't go our way tonight." The ret ...

They held a slight advantage thanks to a 1-1 draw in Turin, and put one foot in the Final when Alvaro Gonzalez ghosted in at the back post to head past Marco Storari.
