LONDON EVENING STANDARD ONLINE 'Thierry Henry has incredible judgement of players' - Arsene Wenger tips Arsenal great to unearth next big star Thierry Henry could be the right man to unearth the next great talent, according to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, the man who helped transform the France forward's career.
Thierry Henry confirmed his retirement this week, and announced he would be starting a new career as a pundit. It's not expected to be long-term, with the Frenchman keen to get into coaching - and with an eventual view to a job at Arsenal. This could land him in the opposing dugout to Jose Mourinho, a manager always at odds with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. Henry is a big admirer of the Chelsea boss however, praising him in an interview with SkySports about who has impressed him most this season. He said: "Mourinho is a genius, you have to give him his credit, wherever he goes he wins. "Whether you like him or don't like him we're not here to judge the person, we are here to judge the manager. He's a good manager yes he is, he's outstanding." Henry is particularly taken with this current Chelsea side, starring his former teammate Cesc Fabregas. "For me the partnership growing between Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas is massive. But no Matic, Ivanovic, Terry, Azpilicueta, then you don't see Cesc and Diego Cost ...

Wenger opens door to Henry Arsenal return The former France international has been linked with a coaching role at the Emirates Stadium, and his ex-manager feels there is no doubt he will back in North London Dec 2, 2014 11:19:00 Arsene Wenger believes Thierry Henry will "certainly" return to Arsenal one day. The Frenchman left New York Red Bulls following their elimination from the MLS playoffs on Saturday, with his future unknown at this stage. Bordeaux manager Willy Sagnol has already offered his former France team-mate a place among his Coaching Staff should he retire from playing while a role in the media remains an option. But Wenger believes the 37-year-old will have a role in North London at some point in the future but said he must consider what part he wants to play. "What I understand is that he wants to reflect for a while on how he wants to go into his next life,” the Arsenal manager is quoted as saying by the club's official website. “The only thing I would like to say is that I gave him ...
Theo Walcott: "When you think of Arsenal, even now, you think of Arsene Wenger and Thierry Henry." .
Arsene Wenger admits club legend Thierry Henry may return to Arsenal in a coaching capacity. The Frenchman scored 227 goals during his first spell in North London, before adding another one to his tally during a loan return to the club in 2012. Speculation has been rife that Henry could return for a third stint at the club, with his career in MLS with New York Red Bulls drawing to a close, and Wenger admits that a return to the Emirates could be on the cards in the future. "It's not something that's current,” he told L’Equipe . “And then there must be a post available. For the moment, that's not the case. But it's not impossible.” Wenger also aired his belief that Henry would be best served by emulating Zinedine Zidane when he finally hangs up his boots, and manage a reserve team before stepping up to a senior team. "He is better to have responsibility for a team, like Zidane at Real Madrid,” Wenger added. “Because you learn to handle a dressing room, to handle personalities. This trade, it's ...

Inexcusable! Arsene Wenger still. trading off the Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira. era. Gutted
Adrian Durham makes a candid point .Time to extricate ourselves from the past.. Arsenal were unbeaten during the 2003-04 Premier League season But they didn't capitalise on their dominance and failed in Europe Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry weren't part of best-ever Arsenal side Anyone else fed up with the fawning over the Arsenal Invincibles 10 years on? Boring. Here’s what that team achieved – failure in Europe when the Champions League was there for the taking, and at the same time they directly helped Jose Mourinho become greater than Arsene Wenger. Funny how the Wenger lovers conveniently ignore all this. The myth of the Arsenal Invincibles grows beyond all credible recognition as every year passes without another title or any Champions League success for the Gunners. There has been so little to shout about since that unbeaten season in 2004 that Arsenal fans and admirers insist on relentlessly eulogising about the awesome power and glory of the Invincibles. One Gooner is living in the past so ...

Chelsea brings back it's own legend, Didier Drogba and all *** is let loose by our London under achieving rivals' supporters. Could the fear of Drogba be the beginning of wisdom for them? Who is afraid of Didier Drogba? Could it be because Drogba will always score against them? Abi why are they taking panadol for Chelsea headache? Or is their headache? Up Chelsea joor. The Sky is always Blue. Drogba , our legend welcome back home . Up Blues!!!
Arsenal were once again prevented from winning the Emirates Cup as they slipped to a narrow defeat at the hands of Monaco. Following a big 5-1 win against Benfica on Saturday the Gunners, who had big-money summer recruit Alexis Sanchez starting for the first time, were favourites to collect the trophy but a 1-0 loss means Arsene Wenger's side once again missed out in front of their own fans. Valencia won the competition having amassed nine points, one more than the Gunners who could not find the goal against Monaco to win their own tournament for the first time since 2010. Radamel Falcao scored the only goal of the game in the first half, although Arsenal will be aggrieved that they were not awarded a late penalty for a foul on substitute Chuba Akpom. The game marked 15 years to the day since Gunners favourite Thierry Henry signed from Juventus -- and a new prospective hero made his first start for the club as Wenger named Sachez in his starting lineup. But Arsenal struggled against the Ligue 1 outfit and ...
Love this picture of Arsene Wenger and Thierry Henry!
Arsene Wenger was a former manager of AS Monaco for 7 long years...And one day he saw a tall 14 years old kid playing football on a pitch of Stade Louis II,the guard wanted to throw out the kid who played on one of the biggest stadiums in Europe...But Arsene said no,and he wanted to look how that young kid was shooting the ball perfectly... The kid and Arsene talked about best players in the world like Baggio and Platini!!!Arsene told him that he would be a far better footballer than those two and that he will win Premier League and UCL with no defeat ... Arsene teached him a lot of football and made him a professional footballer at the age of 16...The kid is as you think Thierry Daniel Henry! Thierry was a striker and in his position there was far better strikers than him like Jurgen Klinsmann and Youri Djorkaeff, but Arsene made a formation 4-5-1,and you can only guess who was the only striker in that formation at the age 16,it was Thierry Henry! In 23 mathes he scored only 1 goal and Wenger was sacked b ...
Arsene Wenger [on Thierry Henry]: “He analyses very quickly. He manages to have a good combination of being focused and relaxed, that is an important quality at the top level - a high level of focus but to be relaxed as well. He is calm and cool in front of goal.”
341 appearances, 157 goals and counting. Chelsea bring Didier Drogba back to the Premier League. Maybe Arsene Wenger should bring back Thierry Henry and we'll see who the real king is... Trust me it will be henry.
Check out these funny impressions of Thierry Henry, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger:
legend Alan Smith has warned Arsene Wenger against signing Mario Balotelli this summer and instead focus his efforts on snaring Bayern Munich’s Mario Mandzukic. Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has no doubt that his former team-mate Cesc Fabregas will be a success if he leaves Barcelona this summer. Arsenal target Serge Aurier has opened talks with another English side, according to the Toulouse defender’s agent. Arsenal are reportedly interested in Paris Saint-Germain striker Jean-Christophe Bahebeck – and the youngster could be available for free. Chelsea are close to tying up a sensational deal to sign Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo. Karim Benzema has distanced himself from a summer move to Arsenal by saying he feels “at home” at Real Madrid. Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela has said that he never “felt comfortable” at Arsenal amid speculation that he could return to the club this summer. Angel Di Maria has spoken of his disappointment at be ...
It’s the 2006/07 season, Arsenal’s first campaign at the Emirates. The Gunners struggle in the Premier League ending up with a fourth placed finish. The club’s Champions League campaign ends in shambles after crashing out to PSV Eindhoven in the Round of 16 and there’s even more heartbreak in the FA Cup as the Gunners lose to Blackburn. The club’s only hope of a trophy comes up against Chelsea in the Carling Cup final and Wenger decides to field the likes of Justin Hoyte, Armand Traore, Denilson Neves, Jeremie Aliadere and Drogba’s wifey, Phillippe Senderos. After another trophy-less campaign, there are some surprising sales that summer. After so many years of faithful service, Fredrik Ljungberg is sold to West Ham, El Homesickla, or Jose Antonio Reyes as he’s known in the modern world finds his way to Atletico Madrid, and it’s also shocking to know that the club’s record goalscorer, Thierry Henry, has jumped ship to FC Barcelona. How does Arsene Wenger respond? He buys Lukasz Fabianski ...

Is there a trophy for 4th spot finnish in England?? No wonder Arsene Wenger has 9 yrs so far without a dusting the cabinet trophy..the winning team left with Thierry Henry,Dennis Bergkamp,Robert Pires,Patrick Viera,Antonio Reyes,Gilberto Silva,Kolo Toure Ashley Cole,Jens Leeman,Freddie Ljuberg,Ray Palour..i cant recal other players but at least i have med a team of Eleven (11).
Arsene Wenger has offered tremendous service to Arsenal over the years. His ability to win trophies without breaking the bank like other managers in Europe is unmatched. This is basically due to his ability to identify and nurture talents like those of George Weah, the only African to have attained world player of the year, Thierry Henry, whose career was resuscitated by Wenger, Robin Van Persie, Dennis Bergkamp, Jack Wilshere,Theo Walcott etc. However all this credit is at risk of going down the drain if he doesn't know the right time to exit just like many people in different positions. Arsene should work hard to win FA cup this season as his farewell trophy.

Arsene Wenger: "Obviously it will be good to play against Thierry. He is a very special player in our club’s history." Igwe(Thierry Henry) 4 life!
A man who divides opinion, but for me Olivier Giroud is one of the worst forwards Arsene Wenger has signed. Of course, we’ve had players Marouane Chamakh, Park Chu-Young, Nicklas Bendtner and Gervinho but they were never been our main strikers. Since Arsene Wenger joined Arsenal in September of 1996, the main strikers at Arsenal have been Ian Wright, Dennis Bergkamp, Nicholas Anelka, Thierry Henry, Nwankwo Kanu, Davor Suker, Robin Van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor, Eduardo and now Olivier Giroud. He’s not even in the same league as the rest of those players, and the list includes the biggest wanker that is Adebayor. He’s not good enough. He wouldn’t get into any other Top 10 side, nevermind any Top 4 team. Manchester City have Aguero, Jovetic, Dzeko and Negredo, Liverpool have Suarez and Sturridge, Chelsea even have Torres and Eto’o who are past it but they’re still better than Giroud. In a nutshell, his ability to miss the simplest of chances has cost Arsenal dearly this season. With a top class ...

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has revealed how Kolo Toure convinced Arsene Wenger to sign him - by kicking their millionaire stars! Toure travelled to England from the Ivory Coast where he was playing for ASEC Mimosas 12 years ago for his big trial at Arsenal. And Toure thought the best way to impress was the smash key Gunners like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and ARSENE WENGER! Parlour told talkSPORT: "They rolled the ball into Thierry Henry. Kolo Toure from nowhere smashed him, right from behind, two footed tackle, a terrible tackle. "Seriously could have been a red card in a normal game. Our best player is on the floor rolling around. "Arsene Wenger screams, 'Kolo, what are you doing? Don't tackle, don't tackle!' "Next minute, ball goes into Dennis Bergkamp. Kolo Toure, exactly the same, two-foots Dennis Bergkamp. "We're thinking this is unbelievable. "The next ball comes in and he makes a great tackle, Kolo Toure, but the ball flips up in the air and Arsene Wenger used to stand right in the middle betw ...
Football Focus: Thierry Henry warns Arsenal fans 'be careful what you wish for' Arsenal legend Thierry Henry warns Gunners fans to be "careful" what they wish for when it comes to changing their manager. The former France international says uncertainty over what would happen in the future means supporters should be careful about calling for Arsene Wenger to replaced. He goes on to dispute that the Gunners are missing a leader, saying they need to win "as a unit".
Major milestone in Sturridge's sights Daniel Sturridge could become the first Liverpool player to score in nine consecutive games for the Reds if he notches against Arsenal today. Scroll down for more stats like this one ahead of the FA Cup clash, courtesy of Ged Rea. The last time Liverpool met Arsenal in the FA Cup was in 2007 at the third-round stage. Arsenal won 3-1 at Anfield - Dirk Kuyt scored for the Reds, with Tomas Rosicky netting a brace and Thierry Henry on the mark for the visitors. Liverpool's last win over the Gunners in the FA Cup came in the 2001 final in Cardiff, when Michael Owen scored twice with minutes to go to win the trophy. It was the first occasion that two foreign managers had been in opposition in the final as Arsene Wenger and Gerard Houllier met. Liverpool and Arsenal are the only teams to win the FA Cup on penalties - Liverpool beat West Ham United in 2006, the year after Arsenal defeated Manchester United. Arsenal closing in on Draxler 30 January By Sami Mokbel Arsenal were last night rushing to complete a £37million swoop for Schalke sensation Julian Draxler. The Gunners are increasingly confident that a deal to sign the 20-year-old wonderkid will be completed before tomorrow night’s transfer deadline. Sportsmail first revealed Arsenal’s pursuit of Draxler earlier this month, with manager Arsene Wenger believing the Germany forward can be moulded into the next Robin Van Persie or Thierry Henry. Arsenal chiefs have flown to Gelsenkirchen in an attempt to push through the move for their priority target. Negotiations over the transfer fee and add-ons will continue today, but there is a strong feeling a deal will be concluded before the deadline. Schalke are refusing to budge on their £37m valuation. Arsenal, however, have been reluctant to go above £30m for the youngster. MY JOY AND BITTERNESS AS AN ARSENAL FAN It all started in 1996, Arsene Wenger a coach I followed passionately during his days in France with AS Monaco has just dumped the Japanese club Grampus Eight for England. I was not skeptical of his abilities, I had been a fan of his for many years because of a Nigerian player I loved so much. Take a bow, Victor Nosa Ikpeba. He was the best I ever knew, his football gives me joy and because of Ikpeba AS Monaco became my darling club. I could recall Ikpeba, Thierry Henry, David Trezeguet, George Opong Weah, Davor Suker, Enzo Scifo and the mercurial Jurgen Klinsman all played under the talismanic Arsene Wenger at one point so I was hopeful the tradition will continue when he eventually dumped Japan for England. Yes he signed Thierry Henry, Ikpeba was rumored to join later but instead went to Borrusia Dortmund and later Scotland where his football faded with age. However, I retained my love for Wenger and kept a close eye on Arsenal until another golden boy of Nigeria ...

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has warned manager Arsene Wenger to be careful abut his January market plans. Speaking to Sky Sports on Wednesday, Henry advised Wenger to tread carefully and seek someone of the Arsenal mould if he intends on acquiring fresh blood in the new year. “You have to bring someone [to the club] if that person is going to help you,” the 36- year-old said. “If you bring someone, and that guy is going to only think about himself and make sure that he can show what he can do, instead of helping the team…”

Head-to-head The Red Devils have lost just one of their last 12 league and cup games against the Gunners (W9, D2, L1). This will be Arsene Wenger's 50th game against United as Arsenal manager. This rivalry left in its wake memorable on- and off-pitch moments reminiscent of the league's golden years: The Patrick Vieira - Roy Keane (dynamic captains and great midfielders) famous battles, the Thierry Henry - Ruud van Nistelroy (sublime finishers) top scorer 'fights' and numerous Wenger - Ferguson spats. Sir Alex Ferguson in recognition of his rivalry with Arsene Wenger dedicated a chapter in his new book to 'Competing with Wenger'. Two great football clubs. Two glorious managers. One worldwide sport.
Flamini stoking Arsenal fire Arsene Wenger was enjoying the mood again and, clearly, feeling a little mischievous. So, when news was sought about his team selection ahead of the Champions League game with Napoli, he couldn’t resist the smallest of good-natured digs back: "In central midfield, you know, we have [Mathieu] Flamini and many people questioned us when we did that, but since he played he has done very well." That is undeniably the case, and perceptions of the free transfer have changed almost as much as predictions about Arsenal’s prospects after an eventful August. In truth, though, it was also Flamini’s initial departure that led to the first deeper long-term questioning of Wenger’s management. That move to Milan in the summer of 2008 undeniably marked a watershed in the club’s history. Prior to then, Arsenal had seen Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry leave in the summers of 2005 and 2007, respectively, but only as both players were also leaving their prime. Ashley Cole’s 2006 exit ...
Congratulations Arsenal we play with our Second team full of Youth with a few Experience players here and there.Shows Arsene Wenger do something right with depth in our Squad...I think we can continue playing this Squad to gain Experience maybe a Thierry Henry or a Bergkamp might shine in the bunch. Great job *In Arsene we Trust* Arsene Wenger.
Jack Wilshere : Just One Trophy and Too Can Arsenal bounce back Again Jack Wilshere admits the Arsenal players are now overwhelmed with curiosity championship trophy. Quite a trophy next season just taken, then the Gunners can bounce to prevail again. Arsenal have not felt the eight years after the last lifting the trophy in the 2005 FA Cup. Although always qualify for the Champions League but still the North London club's fans would like to see his team was in the top podium. Inevitably Arsenal's title fasting has made them lose a lot of star players start from Thierry Henry, Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie last. For then the players that won the championship title in their new club. This is what makes the hunger of the players will be getting bigger trophy winner from season to season. So next season is considered to be the most appropriate time Arsene Wenger's squad finished their degree of fasting. Moreover, Arsenal had claimed a large transfer of funds to be able to shop at the star p ...
::: Arsenal interested in signing Torres ::: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly expressed his interest in bringing Fernando Torres to the Emirates Stadium. Not one to splash cash about freely, Wenger wants the much-criticised Spaniard to play up front for the Gunners, and new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is said to be happy to let the former Liverpool and Atletico Madrid man go. After letting names such as Thierry Henry and more recently Cesc Fàbregas and Robin Van Persie depart, Wenger is hungry to reverse the trend and bring a superstar to the fold. Torres, too, might be keen to move, as he may not figure in Mourinho's plans - with the Spaniard set to learn if he is this week once he returns to club duty after representing Spain at the Confederations Cup. Along with Torres, Arsenal are also in the hunt for Real Madrid goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain. If Arsenal land both, it would be a huge coup for the club's ambitions. accha arsenal ki ebar next Real Madrid hobe after Man City? :P kota striker k k ...
Arsenal: Five worst Arsene Wenger signings Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will go down as one of the greatest managers ever to grace the beautiful game, despite his recent dip. However, some of his dealings in the transfer market have been abysmal to say the least. The Frenchman has had his fair share of great signings with the likes of Thierry Henry and Denis Bergkamp, but let's focus on his not so successful signings at Arsenal. Francis Jeffers Jeffers is perhaps Arsene Wenger’s worst ever signing, and was probably Arsenal’s worst ever signing in their illustrious history. The young Englishman was signed for a hefty £8m in 2001 after Thierry Henry urged Wenger to capture a ‘fox in the box’ following an FA Cup defeat to Liverpool. To cut a long story short, Jeffers managed to score only four goals in 22 Premier League games for the Gunners. He was eventually shipped out to Charlton Athletic in 2004. The 32-year-old currently plies his trade in English fourth tier for Accrington Stanley. Mikael Silve ...

Barcelona set sights on Arsenal Centre-Back. Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny according to a number of reports including one from Spanish source Sport.es. Barcelona are understandably keen to strengthen their defence as Tito Vilanova, though blessed with a myriad of attacking options, doesn’t have all that many experienced and capable centre-backs in his armoury, indeed he basically has Gerard Pique and veteran Carles Puyol. This has left the La Liga side frequently having to use Javier Mascherano as a back-up option. Given the history of Arsenal players moving to join the Catalan side; Thierry Henry, Alexander Hleb, Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song to name four, Gunners fans may well fear interest from Barcelona in arguably their most effective defender. Koscielny and Per Mertesacker are Arsene Wenger’s central defensive pairing of choice and the duo worked excellently in the final two months of last term, form that helped the North London side to secure ...
Barcelona make contact with Arsenal over signing Laurent Koscielny Catalan paper Sport have claimed this Saturday evening that Barcelona have contacted Arsenal over the signing of Laurent Koscielny. Barcelona are keen to bring in a central defender this summer and Laurent Koscielny fits the bill of a central defender that is good on the ball and commanding in the air. Koscielny has scored the goal that has taken Arsenal to the Champions League on consecutive seasons and is a fans favourite at the Emirates. It would also be a huge surprise if Arsene Wenger would allow another big name sale to Barcelona after the high profile departures of Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas to the Nou Camp. Tito Vilanova is keen on signing Koscielny and Sport add that Barcelona could secure the French central defender for 15 million euros. Crucially, and we are likely to hear of this in the coming days, Sport claim Laurent Koscielny is keen on a “change of scenery” after three seasons at Arsenal. Barca have been linked wit ...
Okay if you had to choose between Thierry Henry and Arsene Wenger.. Whom would you? For me its Arsene Wenger Karan
Thierry Henry hopes Arsene Wenger stays at Arsenal for many years to come, but that they shouldn't be happy with 4th.
The Gunners' all-time leading goalscorer believes his former club should strive for more and hopes their delight on the final day was because they had finished above their rivals Arsenal legend Thierry Henry hopes his former club were celebrating on the final day of the season because they beat Tottenham to a top-four finish - and not because they qualified for the Champions League. The Gunners triumphed over Newcastle on the Premier League's final day to finish above their North London adversaries and clinch the final spot in Europe's premier club competition. As a fan of the club, Henry admits that finishing above Spurs feels like winning a trophy but believes finishing in the top four should be considered the minimum expectation for Arsene Wenger's team. "For me as a fan or if I was a player at Arsenal, finishing in the top four would have been normal," Henry told Sky Sports. "We saved our season and that was it because you always want to win and I know people go on about the pictures and all of this c ...
Arsene Wenger signed the following crops of players| Patrick Vieira, Sol Campbell, Thierry Henry, Sylvain Wiltord, Ashley Cole, Davor Suker, Antonio Reyes, Kanu Nwankwo, Jens Lehman, Robert Pires, Fredie Ljunberg, Lauren Etama Mayer, Tomasz Rosicky, Alex Hleb, Francesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie..He is also the one that signed these| Maroune Chamakh, Oliver Giroud, Aaron Ramsey, Neves Denilson, Sebastian Squillaci, Johan Djorou, Armand Traore and co..Ya can see the descending order in terms of IQ and intelligence. Why do fans still say ''In Arsene we trust'' and not bombard his *** with escoriation?
Arsenal - Wigan Preview: Latics must take three points in order to avoid relegation Arsenal have no new injury worries with Arsene Wenger's only selection dilemma being whether to select Kieran Gibbs or Nacho Monreal at left-back, while Jack Wilshere is also fighting to be given the nod over Tomas Rosicky. Olivier Giroud serves the final match of his three-game ban so Lukas Podolski looks set to lead the line once more. Wigan may bring Ben Watson back into the starting line-up after the midfielder came off the bench to score the winner at Wembley in the FA Cup final. However, Roberto Martinez remains without Ronnie Stam (ankle), Jean Beausejour (hamstring) and Maynor Figueroa (groin). Arsenal and Wigan played each other in the last game at the old Highbury stadium back in May 2006. Thierry Henry scored a hat-trick that day as the Gunners ran out 4-2 winners, to secure fourth spot and a place in the Champions League. Arsenal have scored 43 goals at home in the Premier League this season, second only to cha ...

Arsenal Enlist Thierry Henry to Help Secure Summer Coup Signing Of Barcelona Pair! Arsenal will look Thierry Henry to help pave the way for moves for Barcelona duo Victor Valdes and David Villa according to El Mundo Deportivo. The North London club have contacted their former star striker in the hope that he can discuss Arsenal’s impending summer advances for the duo with his one time Barcelona team-mates. It’s a smart move by Arsene Wenger and one that may well bear fruit as Wenger looks to build on his current Spanish contingent at the Emirates Stadium. -Mark.
Arsène Wenger said that he switched Thierry Henry to the central striker's role at the same age as Theo Walcott is now
Quick round up of the latest news: Arsene Wenger has admitted interest in signing David Villla in the Summer - whilst Lucas Biglia, Victor Wanyama and Chistian Eriksen has also been linked with us. Cesc Fabregas has also seemingly ruled out rejoining Arsenal, by stating his desire to retire at Barcelona and to win the Champions League with them, which in his eyes would be his biggest sporting achievement. Thierry Henry has also defended Arsenal Wenger and believes that he is the right man to bring us silverware. Bacary Sagna can shine at Centre Back, according to Arsene Wenger. Sagna also believes that Arsenal are better in attack without Van Persie. -Kai
Thierry Henry wants me to buy Arsenal, says Alisher Usmanov. And when asked about Arsene wenger he replied "The greatest achievement of Arsene Wenger is to have created two teams," he said. "The one that now plays for our rivals and the one that is trying to be among the best in the League." That was a reference to Robin Van Persie, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor and others who have all left Arsenal to play for other Premier League teams in recent years. . Not only henry we all *** fans want u to buy all 100 % of Arsenal please - FROM We are Gunners
Usmanov: Henry Wants Me To Own Arsenal And More Secrets Revealed Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov has revealed Arsenal legend Theirry Henry is his good friend and wants him to have full ownership of the club. "I like many footballers, and I'm in contact with some of them. Perhaps my favourite of the last ten, 15 years is Thierry Henry. He's pushing me to buy all of Arsenal's shares, but I cannot predict the future," the Uzbek-born billionaire told the French sports daily. "When I had the chance to buy some shares and become one of the main shareholders in the club, I didn't hesitate for a second. I was even ready to take total control. That wasn't possible because certain people preferred to make a profit and create, using me, an outside enemy. I remain portrayed as a pirate, an enemy. They have won that game." What I really don't know is how true this is. I can't say whether Usmanov is sincere or he wants to win fans heart by using our most loved legend, Theirry Henry. Usmanov also spoke of Arsene Wen ...
Arsenal's second biggest shareholder Alisher Usmanov insists club legend Thierry Henry is desperate for him to buy the North London club outright – and, in a swipe at Arsenal's transfer policy, the Uzbek billionaire has also accused manager Arsene Wenger of 'building a team' for his rivals.
Arsene Wenger on Thierry Henry, replacing Van Persie and his Arsenal reign...
Arsene Wenger interview on his Arsenal reign,Thierry Henry and replacing Van Persie.
Arsene Wenger admits he's trying to build a new British core to his team. Wenger was boosted by Jack Wilshere , Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey and Carl Jenkinson , five key British stars, signing new contracts three weeks ago and sees the expected agreement with Theo Walcott to stay at the Emirates vital to further this cause. "Theo signing would give a positive message out to our fans that the way is not exit, but stability. We're not there yet, but it will make a difference between us and the top two teams because Wilshere is just 21, Walcott 23, Gibbs 23, Oxlade-Chamberlain just 19. "They're all good players and you need a core that represents the values of the club, like Chelsea had with John Terry and Frank Lampard. "We had a period where we kept our players together for eight, nine years, players such as Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira. What you want are players staying together and being successful together." Shaw
I been giving a lot of thought about my support for Arsenal. Of late I am even embarrassed to watch their games. This team has been giving me nothing but heartbreak for the past four seasons. I am now convinced that Arsene Wenger is no longer the right man to take us forward. We built stadium, did not buy quality players and now that we have the resources, we still are not competitive. Man U endured financial pressure when they were extending Old Trafford but inflow of trophies never ceased. We lost many good players like Thierry Henry, Ashley Cole, Alex Song, Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri, Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue, Bendtner, Carlos Vela and Robin Van Persie. The common denominator in all these players is that they all played for Arsenal and after leaving, they went on to do much better in their new clubs. Infact 95% of them went on to win silverware. We get a hiding from a 3rd division team in Bradford City. Swansea fancy their chances against us in a replay. No one fears us anymore ...
Arsenal boss Wenger says Henry deal can still happen Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted he could yet resurrect a loan move for former captain Thierry Henry during the Major League Soccer closed-season. But any imminent short-term deal with New York Red Bulls appears unlikely. "At the moment it is definitely (off), but if we have big injuries and Thierry wants to do it... (however) we have not gone as far (as that) because we look more for permanent people," Wenger said. "At the moment we have (Olivier) Giroud available, (Theo) Walcott available, we are not too short in this department, so we will see." My take It is well with Wenger...
No Arsenal return for Thierry Henry, but could Arsene Wenger be set to splash the cash in January?
THE GUARDIAN Arsene Wenger has admitted it is becoming more difficult to sign potential stars of the future due to pressure from supporters and scouts for big names to be brought to Arsenal. Wenger's reputation for unearthing talent at a cut price is arguably the best in the Premier League, the manager having turned a number of players into top-class internationals since he was appointed by Arsenal in 1996. Patrick Vieira signed from Milan for £3.5m and went on to inspire the North London club to seven major trophies, and Nicolas Anelka and Cesc Fábregas also arrived for nominal fees. The £10m spent on Thierry Henry in 1999 was regarded as a risky amount for a relatively unknown winger. Wenger, who said that any incomings during the January transfer window were not a priority until Theo Walcott agrees to a contract extension, believes the arrival of such gems is more unlikely in the modern era. Asked how tough it is to make decisions on incoming players, he said: "It's very difficult because the level ...
Premier League: January transfer window - who needs what Arsenal What they need in a nutshell: More characters as much as more quality. Window shopping: A goalkeeper - Liverpool's Pepe Reina would be ideal because he needs a new challenge - and, without doubt, another striker. Not just Thierry Henry, either. Henry would be great at coaching their forwards but, if he comes back again and plays regularly, that would say a lot about where the club is at the moment, and not in a positive way. A defensive midfield player with character; a leader. He would not have to be the best player Arsene Wenger has ever signed in terms of skill but they need a bit of grit and determination. Linked with (Player, age, position and club): Pepe Reina 30, GK (Liverpool) Felix Stoppila Sunzu 23, CB/DM (TP Mazembe) Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa 23, CB (Montpellier) Wilfried Zaha 20, FW (Crystal Palace) Thierry Henry 35, CF (New York Red Bulls) Fernando Llorente 27, CF (Atletico) David Villa 31, CF (Barcelona) Lucas Biglia 26, DM (Anderlecht ...

Return of the King. Thierry Henry with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger pre training.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has all but declared he's signing Thierry Henry on-loan. New York Red Bulls striker Henry, who is currently training with the Gunners, is expected to sign a short-term loan deal - but Wenger insists the clash against Southampton will come too early for the Frenchman. "He has just come back from holiday and is a bit short to play on Tuesday night," said Wenger. Guess the KING is coming back ;) -PGY
Transfer News/Rumors: Arsenal's Arsene Wenger is looking to buy Manchester United Nani. Manchester United wants at least $32,304,000 for the Portugal winger, but Wenger is using the RVP deal to his advantage. Wenger says that because he lowered RVP's price for the Red Devils, now Manchester United should lower the asking price for Nani. Arsenal's Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will not be signing Senegal striker Demba Ba. Wenger though did not Deny anything about a possible loan for Thierry Henry. Henry is currently training with the Gunners during the MLS off season. Unsettled Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is for sale this transfer window. Manchester City bought Lescott from Everton in 2010 for $38,764,800 and now are willing to accept an offer as low as $12,921,600. Everton are interested in the England international but Lescott's wage of $145,368 a week is too much for the Toffees. QPR and Turkish side Galatasaray are said to also be interested in Lescott's services. Real Madrid first took L ...

Arsenal set for hectic 'January.A Striker And Box Mid are Surely coming... As Andrey Arshavin is set for a move to Reading, and Marouane Chamakh a move to West Ham, Arsenal are looking to sign AT LEAST three players in January, as well as Thierry Henry, to strengthen a squad lacking in depth and strength itself. Their main priority is a striker. David Villa, Adrian Lopez and Demba Ba are the reported three who Arsene Wenger is looking at... On paper David is obviously the most attractive player out of the three, but his wages could cause many problems and spending £15m for a 31-year-old just isn't something Arsene would usually do... Adrian could well be an Arsenal player come next month as Arsenal are said to be scouring the Spanish market this winter and Adrian is looking for a move away from current club, Atletico Madrid, as he's fed up of sitting on the bench week after week, but he has been off form this season and its a risk considering he has no PL exp... George Graham is backing Arsene Wenger to remain at Arsenal "for a few more years" - if he can rediscover his skill for nurturing young talent. "Let's give Arsene the credit. He brought in players for average prices, like Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka, Marc Overmars, Patrick Vieira, Emmanuel Petit. "They were all very good players, unknown to the fans in England, that he turned into fantastic world-class players. That was his strength. "In my opinion, he has got to get his magic hat on again and go out and see if he can get players of that quality at good prices."
Arsenal 'We'll buy Messi and surprise you': Wise-cracking Wenger plays down Arsenal woes Arsene Wenger claims hehas won trophies with worse Arsenal teams than his current generation. Wenger insisted that his squad is more focused and determined than some of the players who have delivered Premier League titles, cup glory and Doubles during his 16-year reign. It may leave Arsenal supporters questioning whether Wenger really isl osing his grip on reality as most of his current players simply do not measure up to legends like Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Cesc Fabregas. But Wenger also launched a passionate defence of his recent purchases -including Gervinho, whose shocking miss from two yards contributed to Arsenal's humiliating Capital One Cup exit at League Two side Bradford in midweek. Arsenal are approaching their eighth year withouta trophy and are in danger of missing out ona top four finish, putting Wenger under unprecedented pressure and facing questions about his long term future. A little more about our possible UCL opponents. (Arseblog style) Barcelona Blimey, so many to mention. Fabregas and Song are obviously current Barca players to have worn the Arsenal red, while Henry, Hleb, Overmars, Van Bronckhurst and Petit have also swapped London for Catalonia. We’ve got (and had) a couple of their La Masia kids. Bayern Munich Lukas Podolski spent three years at Bayern before returning to Cologne with his tail between his legs. Borussia Dortmund Last January we were heavily linked with a move for Mario Gotze but Arsene instead snapped up Thomas Eisfeld. Juventus They stole Liam Brady, but we’ve since taken revenge by sending Armand Traore and Nicklas Bendtner on loan. We also picked up a chap called Thierry Henry from them in 1999. Paris Saint Germain If you believe the press Arsene Wenger is being lined up by PSG’s Qatari owners as a possible replacement for Carlo Ancelotti. They are also sponsored by Emirates. Malaga We pilfered Santi Cazorla from them last summer while they we ...

Once upon a time, Arsenal was a team that played its game with suave, creativity and artistry — and kept winning. At one time, teams were struggling to beat the record of not conceding early against Arsenal. During those days, the prospects of facing up Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, Fredrick Ljunberg and Thierry Henry would cause Man United, leave alone the Stokes and Norwichs of this world, sleepless nights. In that era, if you had not conceded in the first 20 minutes, it was marked as an achievement and other teams would use the video from the match as a case study on how to delay the Armageddon. It is no longer the case. We used to have a sharp manager called Arsene Wenger; he was a master of his own destiny. Then one night ‘aliens’ (I suspect from the northern region of Manchester City) came, undertook brain surgery, took off with his sharp brain and exchanged it with some dump gray matter. Apart from the uniform and the name, I do not recognise anything else from the late 1990s and early 2000s. ...

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with Thierry Henry pre match
My love for Arsenal is as Loyal as Tony Adams. Dedicated as Wilshere. Fast as Walcott. Hard as Frimpong. Busy as Gervinho. Disciplined as Ramsey. Leader as Vermaelen. Consistent as Gibbs. Skilful as Cazorla. Artistic as Arteta. Confident as Mannone. Dribbler as Santos. Optimist as Squillaci. Hard working as Jenkinson. Enthusiastic as Mertesacker. Courageous as Giroud. Simple as Coquelin. Humble as Diaby. Maverick as Rosicky. Aggresive as Szczesny. Warrior as Koscielny. Experienced as Sagna. Passionate as Djourou. Determined as Podolski. Versatile as Chamberlain. Unpredictable as Arshavin. Confused as Chamakh. Forgotten as Fabianski. Solid as Gilberto Silva. Accentric as Lehmann. Wizard as Robert Pires. Magical as Ljungberg. Royal as Thierry Henry. Legendary as Bergkamp. Unbeaten as The Invicibles. Bold as Steve Bould. Brilliant as Arsene Wenger. Sexy as Arsenal. Patient as Gooner. No matter the positives or negatives this club brings to my life, I will forever lovemy beautiful football club.
• No wing-men for Wenger cripples Arsenal’s top 4 hopes: Rsi Podolski and Walcott both carping on about central striker roles Arsene Wenger is among the wise old men of the football game. Le Professor is not only hailed as a master of tactics, but of spotting, developing and creating world-beaters. This is why it is hard to understand why his own players are unable to see his vision, and more importantly, choose to question it openly. Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott have both been carping on about central striker roles. Yet, all the good work against Fulham came from the wings. At the heart of a classic Wenger team is wing-play and this is where Arsenal have been most vulnerable and lacking. Consider all the great Arsenal talent of the past – from the wing- backs of the likes of Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy, to the greatest hitmen in recent footballing lore, Thierry Henry and Robin Van Persie, the wings were it all began. In the case of Henry, he continued to cut a swate across the front- line, from ...
“I’ll never forget the club or him… I don’t see Arsenal without Arsene Wenger” -Thierry Henry
If Theo Walcott does leave in January i think it will be one of Arsene Wenger's worst ever mistakes because in the near future i can see him becoming a player who will score lots of goals every season like Thierry Henry did for Arsenal!
Arsenal selling Robin Van Persie a mistake - Tony Adams Tony Adams thinks Arsenal were wrong to sell striker Robin Van Persie to Manchester United and fears the Gunners will have another trophyless season. Without silverware since 2005, Arsenal let Van Persie join United for £24m. Adams became the club's youngest captain at the age of 21 and remained skipper until he retired, Won league titles in three different decades (1988-89, 1997-98, 2001-02) Voted by Arsenal fans in 2008 as the third greatest player in the club's history, behind Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp. Manager Arsene Wenger, whose last trophy was the FA Cup in 2005, may find it hard to do without his top scorer from last season. Van Persie registered 44 goals in 57 games for club and country before moving to Old Trafford in the summer.
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has the audacity to claim that Arsenal and Manchester City are trying to destabilise his club by trying to poach their top stars and best youngsters. Marc Overmars (2000), Emmanuel Petit (2000), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (2003), Thierry Henry (2007), Alexander Hleb (2008), Cesc Fabregas (2011), Alex Song (2012) – seven established internationals that have left Arsenal for Barcelona during the Arsene Wenger era. Hypocrites.
Arsene Wenger will bring in Van Persie, Thierry Henry, or even Kanu Nwankwo when it remains 10min to full time. Chelsea cannot win, just watch out!
Rumours of Arsenal's decline have been greatly exaggerated. Apparently, it was all over for the Gunners after Robin Van Persie's departure this summer. Just as it was when Patrick Vieira left. And when Thierry Henry scarpered. And when Cesc did one. Unfortunately for the rest of the Premier League, nobody bothers telling Arsene Wenger his team are on the wain. The Gunners are 10 places higher, have five more points and a goal difference of 15 better than at this stage last season. In your face doommongers. COYG! Lets whoop Chelsea!

He won their first League Cup in 1987 and two years later secured the league title in dramatic style as Michael Thomas scored in the 90th minute at Liverpool to seal the 2-0 win required. The Gunners won the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1994 with a 1-0 victory over Parma but it was not until French manager Arsene Wenger was appointed did they challenge in the Premier League. He won the Double in 1997/98 in his first full season as Ian Wright overtook Cliff Bastin as the club’s top scorer – a record he would later lose to Thierry Henry. They were runners-up to Manchester United in three consecutive seasons but claimed another Double in 2002. Then in 2004, Arsenal were dubbed ‘The Invincibles’ as they went unbeaten through the entire league campaign – the first such instance in the English top flight since Preston in 1889. They won the 2005 FA Cup final against Manchester United but lost to Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League final. But after moving from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium that year, the ...
Alex Song has completed his move to Barcelona from Arsenal. The Cameroon international passed his physical at Barca earlier Monday and signed his five-year contract with the La Liga power worth 19 million euros ($23.4 million). Song, whose contract has a buy-out clause of 80 million euros ($98.5 million), will now join his new teammates for the official team presentation at the Joan Gamper Trophy at the Nou Camp on Monday night, where the Catalan club faces Sampdoria. The 24-year-old becomes Barca's second major signing of the summer after the capture of Spain full-back Jordi Alba from Valencia and follows a well-worn path from Arsenal to the Nou Camp. During Arsene Wenger's reign with the Gunners, Marc Overmars, Emmanuel Petit, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Thierry Henry, Alexander Hleb and Cesc Fabregas all made the switch to Barca. It remains to be seen when Song will make his debut for his new side. After Monday's match against Sampdoria, Barca are back in action on Thursday when they host archrivals Real ...
To all the Arsenal fans, don't give up on The Gunners even though R.Van Persie has left and join MU. In my opinion, the gunners are still strong and Arsene Wenger was still a good manager. Thierry Henry served in Arsenal 9 years (1999 to 2007) , where RVP as the youngster followed his path in 2004. RVP has also served 8 years (2004 till 2012). When you play as a team, you learn from the team. I believe the gunners have learned a lot from this 2 great player. Player such as Theo Walcott, Gervinho, Giroud, Podolski and many more are still the good player. RVP was bought in by Arsene Wenger in 2004 ($2.8mil) and after 8 years when the team has improved so well, RVP trasfered to MU ($24mil). Arsenal has nothing to lose, Arsenal is building young talent.
Thierry Henry, Emmanuel Adebayor, Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Now Robin Van Persie leave gunners when on their top form; but Still Creator There, so expect some Gunners bone or grow up 2012/20013 season!!! # Arsene Wenger - The Creator!!!
In 7 years Arsene Wenger have lost 4 of his captain. Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, Cesc Fabregas and last but not least, Robin Van Persie :3
Van Persie should not make any excuses: first he is gets all excited about the news of transferring to Juventus, which had been claimed up by an agent of the club. Then, the next thing you know, he's reconsidering such an option because of all the news of his targeted Club Manager's match-fixing scandal and suddenly, he has a rethink of things. And all this is happening when Arsenal is bringing in yet another signing and probably a fourth next week. A word of advice, van the man: you need to make up your mind:leave for Juventus or go to Manchester Utd cos Arsene Wenger already knows you don't wanna stay. Big players like Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas have gone and yet Arsenal still hangs within the top 4-tier rankings. So make up your mind.Or simply apologise to Arsenal fans.

Federer is to tennis what Thierry Henry is to football.. Arsene Wenger is to Management.. Phil Taylor is to darts.. Federer IS tennis
The idea that Arsenal would sell Robin Van Persie sounds ludicrous. After all, if it weren’t for RVP, Arsenal would be battling it out in mid-table mediocrity. However, Arsene Wenger has a penchant for talking some shocking decisions, like allowing legends like Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Emmanue...
Arsene Wenger’s 2003-04 record-breakers, which included superstars Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira, went an entire season unbeaten to claim the league title. And now the Gunners’ unforgettable achievement has been rewarded with the crown of Best Team in the Premier League’s 20 Seasons Awards. Boss Wenger said: “I am very proud of this and very happy. “I told the players at the time that they could achieve something special once we were champions – being invincible. “And they did it. At the time they didn’t realise how much it would mean in the future. “My target is to get Arsenal back to that level. “I feel personally that we are not far away from being able to fight for the championship, and let’s hope we can show that next season.”
It seemed as if we weren’t going to have another summer like this. Mindnumbing, monotonous, merciless weeks of rumours about whether our star player would leave. Perhaps it was naïve to assume that. So now, instead of focussing on which players we’re going to strengthen our side with, we’re forced to lie awake at night wondering whether Robin Van Persie will be at Arsenal come the end of August, a stream of sensationalist headlines begging for the attention of our mind’s eye. Tossing and turning on the possibility of losing our captain, again. People will point to the occasions when we’ve lost a key player and recovered – when we sold Patrick Vieira, we got to the Champions League final; when we sold Thierry Henry we looked good for the title for a long while; when we sold Emmanuel Adebayor we suddenly looked a better side and put up another strong fight for the title. As well as all of that, other players blossomed and we stayed in the Champions League season upon season. But what’s undeni ...
