Just watched Crossroads with Rascal Flatts and Journey. I really love Journey and their music and have seen them a few times in concert... I've also really tried to like the new lead singer for them ( Arnel Pineda ) , but i just can't do it. :-( PLEASE PLEASE bring back Steve Perry or Steve Augeri. My opinion is if your going to replace a singer, you better sound pretty *** close to them... Like when Steve Augeri replaced Perry we hated to see Perry go, but Augeri did an EXCELLENT job in sounding and looking like Perry. Now that Arnel is with them, i don't care for them... Not sayin Arnel isn't a good singer, he just isn't a good replacement in my opinion for Journey. So Journey, please fix whatever issues you had with either if the Steve's and bring 1 of them back. Well that's just my 2 cents, i'm going back to ask that midget again if he needs help with his flatscreen again , maybe he's in a better mood. LMFAO
Just watched Rascal Flatts and Journey perform on Cross Roads. Arnel Pineda...WOW! I loved Steve Perry back in the day but this guy blew me away!
- arnel pineda has a gift for u from Rascal Flatts, we'll send to u when he gets back from his US tour and before asian tour.
Just an observation: After watching "CMT Crossroads: Journey and Rascal Flatts", we couldn't help but wonder why Arnel Pineda was constantly singing flat on all the high notes. That's a huge part of most Journey songs, so one would think they'd get a guy that could better represent the highs & lows. Just sayin.
So I DVR'd Crossroads: Journey & Rascal Flatts yesterday. FINALLY getting to watch it tonight. And I must say - Rascal Flatts' songs sound so much better with Arnel Pineda (lead singer of Journey) singing them.Mr. LeVox - you've been outdone! (as if it were that hard.)
Recorded a pre super bowl concert in New Orleans, on the DVR that was shown on CMT Sat. night. Journey and Rascal Flatts together. There is a short, asian guy who sings for Journey now, as lead. I miss the days of Steve Perry. Just does not look right to me but may be the new look for Journey.
Journey and Rascal Flatts together on CMT Crossroads = FAIL. Bad combo. And seeing Journey without Steve freaking Perry and the amazing Steve Smith just makes me sad. Arnel Pineda and Deen Castronovo are okay, but I miss the real deal.
I just woke up to a special CMT Crossroads for the SB. Rascal Flatts & Journey! Woke up to yr song Jaclyn Clark, Faithfully! And now they are closing with my favorite, Don't stop Believing!! Gonna be a great day! Wonderful, my 'Cowboy' just brought me some hot green tea and a toasty Apple Fritter!!! Bless his heart! Yup, gonna be a great day! Happy SB Sunday Everyone!!!
Arnel Pineda is definitely no Steve Perry.not a Rascal Flatt fan either but the Journey / Rascal Flatts Crossroads wasn't too bad.
LOL.. watched Cross Roads with Journey and Rascal Flatts. The guy from Rascal Flatts CANNOT sing Journey. and the guy from Journey sings Rascal Flatts songs better than theg do... Too funny..almost sad to watch...lol
Observations about the Journey/Rascal Flatts Crossroads on CMT: 1. Rascal Flatts *** live for the most part. They should stick to studio recordings for the benefit of auto-tune & multiple takes. 2. Who knew the best replacement for Steve Perry would be Filipino? Arnel Pineda is my hero. 3. Journey does a better job at Rascal Flatts songs than Rascal Flatts does.
And even Arnel Pineda sounds better than Rascal Flatts at singing their songs!
I was just watching Crossroads on CMT and have to comment. I appreciate the musical talents and styling's of both bands and understand the concept of bringing different genre's of music together but Rascal Flatts and Journey just don't cut it for me. I truly enjoy both bands on their own stage but don't believe this was one of the best pairings. Musically it was fine but Gary LeVox and Arnel Pineda are not the best vocalist to pair.
Gotta say, VERY disappointed in the CMT Crossroads with Journey/Rascal Flatts tonight. Both singers were off... expected more from these guys
Watching Crossroads on CMT with Journey and Rascal Flatts...Not liking the new lead singer of Journey very much and he certainly can't take the place of Steve Perry! Rascal Flatts, of course, is awesome.
Coming up now on CMT Crossroads Journey and Rascal Flatts.
What did you think of Journey with frontman Arnel Pineda and Rascal Flatts? We would've liked more s
