Apostle Paul

Paul the Apostle (AD 5 – AD 67; variously referred to as the Apostle Paul or Saint Paul ), also known as Saul of Tarsus, is perhaps the most influential early Christian missionary.

Preaching at the St Paul`s Cathedral - Seychelles 25/01/2015 Wow wow wow, what a great welcome at the St Paul Cathedral in Victoria - Seychelles. The Theme was based on the significance and celebration of the Conversion of the Apostle Paul according to Acts 9:1-22 I focussed on the letter that Paul wrote to Philemon regarding Onesimus the run away slave that became a brother to Paul. He appealed to Philemon on the basis of love to receive Onesimus back not as a slave but as a dear brother. In the past he was useless to Philemon. In fact the meaning of Onesimus is useful. Verse 17 " If you consider me as a partner, welcome him as you would welcome me" I encourage the Seychelles believers, those present and those who listened on air, to reach out to the offenders and ex offenders without condemnation but with the love of God. We also need to support the victims of crime. We should not see them as outcast but love them with the love of God. The prayer of Penitence was so appropriate: "Lord Jesus, in your Joy ...
Living A Vitctorious Life "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a cast away" (1 Cor.9:27). We cannot afford to live a careless life no matter how spiritual we might be. For many years, I find it difficult to understand why Apostle Paul uttered such a statement like this. There is a need to for us to make a deliberate and conscious effort to guard against anything that is capable of stripping us of our hope that is in Jesus Christ. Writing to the believers in Rome, he enjoined them not to make provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lust thereof. Just as God could'nt get us saved until we made a deliberate effort to turn away from our sins, He cannot keep us in holiness until we make up our minds to live for Him. God can keep us from temptation, but He won't come down to turn the channel of your television to stop you from watching those dirty films and musics. He won't shut your eyes from watching an immorally dre ...
via whatsapp Complain and Remain, Praise and Be Raised Complaining is a sin! It is a corrupt form of conversation that causes many people a great deal of problems in their lives. It also opens many doors for the enemy. Words are containers of power. Complaining, grumbling words carry destructive power. They destroy the joy of the one doing the complaining and can also affect other people who have to listen to them. In Ephesians 4:29, the apostle Paul instructs us not to use any foul or polluting language. At one time I would not have known that included complaining, but now I have learned that it does. Murmuring and complaining pollute our lives and probably sound like cursing to the Lord. To Him it is verbal pollution. To pollute is to poison. Did you ever stop to think that you and I can poison our future by complaining about what is going on right now? When we complain about our current situation, we remain in it; when we praise God in the midst of difficulty, He raises us out of it. The best way to st ...
A Place To Belong "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (Rom. 12: 4 & 5). During my sermon yesterday morning, after running off a list of superlatives about why we have hope in our Lord, I exclaimed, "But that's not all!" It reminded a lot of us of the early morning "pitchmen" on TV. You know the ones I'm talking about, don't you? The exercise machine that will get you "ripped" in six weeks or maybe the miracle tool ($19.95) that will replace every other one in your toolbox. (If only my mechanic knew about that one, he wouldn't have spent thousands of dollars on all of his) Perhaps its the one about those fantastic knives...The ones that are the best you will ever own, to which a different knife is added every 30 seconds or so...Most of us get skeptical when we hear these audacious claims that are made, but admit it.The thought intrigues us, doesn't it.. ...
Around the globe, Hindus, Buddhists, Catholics, and members of the Orthodox Church view the use of idols, images, or icons as a vital part of their worship. In parts of Africa, people venerate carvings of wood or stone in which a god or the spirit of a god is thought to dwell. In contrast, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not use any form of idol or icon in their worship. If you visit the places where they meet, known as Kingdom Halls, you will find neither icons of “saints” nor statues of Jesus or Mary.* Why not? Note what the Bible says on this subject. What Did God Require of the Israelites? After liberating the Israelites from Egypt, Jehovah God gave them clear direction regarding how he wanted to be worshipped. The second of the so-called Ten Commandments says: “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because ...
On fog: I'm currently in Ellensburg, Washington. It's nighttime. I'm on my way home from visiting with my daughter and her family who live in Walla Walla, WA. About 40 miles back I went through the city of Yakima. A few miles outside of town I ran into some dense fog as I started climbing a hill up a winding highway. I could only see about 100 feet in front of me, and of course I had to slow way down as I passed the big trucks going slow in the right lane. There were times when I could barely see the white lines marking my lane. As you can imagine there were times of doubt and uncertainty. Doubts created because I couldn't be completely confident I wasn't going to run into something. And this doubt and uncertainty led to tension I could feel in my gut. But then as I approached the summit, all of a sudden it was as if someone flipped a switch. The fog suddenly and completely disappeared. I could see car taillights miles ahead of me, and the stars in the sky were clear as a bell against the dark night sky. ...
Sunday, January 25, 2015 TOPIC: Sweet Repose For The Christ-Like TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 2:1-11 Key Verse: “So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow” (2 Corinthians 2:7). The penitentiary, that is, the prison, is meant to correct the ills of society. Statistics reveal that instead of rehabilitating offenders, jail terms in prisons tend to harden the majority of criminals. They come out of prisons worse than they went in because of their belief that the society hated them for even sending them to jail. In the Corinthian church, indiscipline became commonplace to the point of destroying the very spiritual fabric of the church. Apostle Paul, as the supervising shepherd of the church, provided a remedy by the excommunication of a member who was found guilty of fornication. Although this particular member repented of his sin, he was left in the cold. Apostle Paul had to write this second epistle that superceded his ...
"We can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." --St. Paul the Apostle
It does not matter where u start in life just finish big and strong in the Lord. Moses was a stutter God made him a prophet. Apostle Paul was short ,yet a giant in the Lord. The boy with two fish and 5 loaves of bread was used by the Lord to create a buffet in the desert. Benny Hinn was a stutter yet many miracles God uses him for. Joseph Prince a stutter yet he preaches and leads many to Christ. Jesus born in a manager, mocked, treated like a thief, blood poured out worse than animal yet, now He is risen He is King of All. Where did u start? It does not matter Jesus loves u. Holy Ghost loves u, the Father loves u. Let Him take ur small and make it grand. Love u all. Holy Ghost be with u. Jesus is coming soon!!
This is the great transition a radical changes of God's plan and purpose IN CHRIST before the foundation of the world. From a created being to a born again in the Spirit being. From born of the flesh to a born of the Spirit. From born of man to born of God. From Adam to Christ as the Head. From temporal creation to a birthed sons of God eternal. From earthly to heavenly. From natural to supernatural. From flesh passed away to Spirit will live forever in Christ. The IN CHRIST is the final Planned of God even before the foundation of the world. The "the Christ in us,the hope of glory"is the FINAL GOSPEL OF Jesus Christ apostle Paul commissioned by the risen Lord to preach in his day. God is now establishing eternal beings in Christ, immortal beings in Christ, and incorruptible beings in Christ. From temporal to eternal. From mortal to immortal. From corruptible to incorruptible. We will all pass through the hands of God for the second time. But this time He will enter into our inmost spirit being and rebirthed ...

CARNAL MIND IS ENERMY TO GOD'S LAW AND CARNALLY MINDED IS DEATH Isaiah 59:1-2 1 Behold, the Lord'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Despite the fact that man is separated from God, the Bible says very little about it, mostly because the writers of the Bible assume it to be so since the separation of God and man at the very beginning of the Book (Genesis 3:22-24). Everyone who reads the Bible with any kind of understanding recognizes that man and God are not on the same wavelength. They are estranged from one another. Despite so little being written about the separation, a great deal is written about how the two will be reconciled. Isaiah 59:1-2 is one of the very few places that actually clearly states why the separation exists: because of man's hostility toward God. Paul states in Romans 8:7 that the carnal mind is enmity, h ...
How can one recognize a false Christ? Jesus warned that in the last days counterfeit christs would arise who would masquerade as the Messiah and claim to be the savior of the world. “Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and will deceive many’ ” (Matthew 24:4, 5, NKJV). In the New Testament, the original Greek word for Christ is Christos. The equivalent Hebrew word in the Old Testament is Mashiach, meaning “Messiah.” The literal translation of both the Greek and Hebrew words is “the anointed one.” It is the title and identity which Jesus assumed during His ministry on Earth. “The woman said to Him, ‘I know that Messiah is coming’ (who is called Christ). ‘When He comes, He will tell us all things.’ Jesus said to her, ‘I who speak to you am He’ ” (John 4:25, 26, (NKJV). Shortly before His crucifixion, Jesus preached His great prophetic discourse regarding profound events that would o ...

DAILY DEVOTIONALs. DATE: MON. 26th JAN, 2015. TOPIC: GOD: OUR REFUGE. TEXT: PSALM.46:1"God is our refuge and strenght, a very present help in trouble" Perilous time indeed are here, no doubt about it. the prophecy of Apostle paul in 2Tim.3:1 has finally gained expression. meanwhile its not just about the prophecy. check also for the mark, signs and indicators plus the implications. thats not the real issue for today its about our refuge as a believer and our security as a body of christ , Every events that characterized this season is about the powers and the principalities trying to gain the control and whereever you find such you can expect power tuzzle and force friction which will generate pandemoium. this is to call our attention to urgently address the issue secretly He that dwelleth in the SECRET place of the most high shall abide under the shall abide under the shadow of Almighty. you as a believer must be a victim of circumstances and thats why we need to begin to see God as our refuge and the in ...
THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM By Pastor Georgina Kennedy Welcome to 2015; the year of Resting in God’s Grace. In the Bible the number 15 represents rest, the number 1 represents God and the number 5 represents Grace. As I have been praying about this and about the direction the Holy Spirit wants to use me to take my church to the next level, the Holy Spirit spoke and said, “teach them how to Rest in God’s Grace.” I’m sure we have all heard the definition of Grace in the acrostic form of God’s Riches At Christ Expense…GRACE. In my opinion, this is a pretty good definition. In other words, Christ paid the price for us (picked up the tab) so we can live in God’s Blessings. In a couple of passages in the New Testament, the Greek word for GRACE is actually defined as Nearly Too Good to Be True News and is the same word for Gospel. In other words, the Gospel is “Nearly too good to be true news” and that Is Grace!! I want us to look at the Old Covenant (Old Testament) and the New Covenant (Ne ...
PRAYER PETITIONS I came across the following story whose author remains unknown but I could not help but pick lessons that I am only too glad to share: A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert-like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren. After some days, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the island. On the other side of the island, the second man had nothing. Soon the first man prayed ...
The Apostle Paul a magnificent counterweight to our own decadent times
DAY 12 ~ Monday, January 26, 2015 READ: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 God is our Comforter - Jesus called the Holy Spirit the “Comforter,” and the apostle Paul writes that the Lord is “the God of all comfort.”
DAILY REFLECTION MONDAY 26th January 2015 Theme: A LIVING HOPE Text: I Peter 1:13-22 Memory verse: I Pet 1:3-Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the ressurection of Jesus Christ from the dead. ONE YEAR BIBLE READING Day: Act 1 Night. Job 4-5 MESSAGE Apostle Paul wrote this particular letter to encourage believers facing trials and persecution under Emperor Nero.(A.D64) Christians must be a hope of God in facing trial and persecution because the standards of many in governance are not Godly i.e one in which God can vouch for anytime, and day and at anywhere. The hope of a Christian is in Christ Jesus who had purchased us by His blood(Acts 20:28b) and perfected our salvation on the cross(Colossian 2:14). Jesus had perfected our salvation into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. He had gone ahead of all Christians to prepare a place, where He will be and all those who lived by His precept a ...
Joe was a good and generous man. He was well thought of by his church. In fact Joe's church was rapidly expanding and in serious need of funds. So he, like many others, sold his property and gave the money to the church.          Joe was a wise man. When a young hot-headed preacher came to town, Joe took him under his wing. The young man had been giving the church a lot of trouble. Then suddenly, he bacame a Christian. Many in the church weren’t convinced this guy was on the up-and-up, but Joe brought him into fellowship with the believers.       Joe was a man full of the Holy Ghost and faith. Joe’s church had some deep seated racial prejudices.  When evangelists began preaching to those that his church had ignored, Joe who was sent to investigate. Joe was able to convince his church to cross the racial divide with the gospel.       Joe was a man who would seek out young ministers and shepherd them through the early stages of their ministry.  He was a man others would trust with ...
How i pray for such dedication to Christ The apostle Paul said one day, "Oh, God, I will follow Thee and serve Thee. Oh, Christ, I give myself to Thee. Lord, what wouldst Thou have me to do?" When Paul said that, God said, "I'm going to show you how much you have to suffer for My name." The apostle Paul, writing years later, sinimarized it in II Corinthians 11:24, Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Five times they had taken long leather lashes with steel pellets on the end and lashed him across the back thirty-nine times, till he was left bleeding and cut to ribbons. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, three times I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by my own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thi ...
Question: "What is the Christian view of suicide? What does the Bible say about suicide?" Answer: The Bible mentions six specific people who committed suicide: Abimelech ( Judges 9:54 ), Saul ( 1 Samuel 31:4 ), Saul’s armor-bearer ( 1 Samuel 31:4–6 ), Ahithophel ( 2 Samuel 17:23 ), Zimri (1 Kings 16:18 ), and Judas (Matthew 27:5 ). Five of these men were noted for their wickedness (the exception is Saul’s armor-bearer—nothing is said of his character). Some consider Samson’s death an instance of suicide, because he knew his actions would lead to his death (Judges 16:26–31 ), but Samson’s goal was to kill Philistines, not himself. The Bible views suicide as equal to murder, which is what it is— self-murder. God is the only one who is to decide when and how a person should die. We should say with the psalmist, “My times are in your hands” (Psalm 31:15 ). God is the giver of life. He gives, and He takes away (Job 1:21 ). Suicide, the taking of one’s own life, is ungodly because it rejec ...
The People of God Read Isaiah 65:1–66:24 The Lord says, “I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help. I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am!’ to a nation that did not call on my name. All day long I opened my arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes. All day long they insult me to my face by worshiping idols in their sacred gardens. They burn incense on pagan altars. At night they go out among the graves, worshiping the dead. They eat the flesh of pigs and make stews with other forbidden foods. Yet they say to each other, ‘Don’t come too close or you will defile me! I am holier than you!’ These people are a stench in my nostrils, an acrid smell that never goes away. “Look, my decree is written out in front of me: I will not stand silent; I will repay them in full! Yes, I will repay them—both for their own sins and for those of their ancestors,” says the Lord. “For they also bu ...
My Pastoral Tribute to my former Pastor-Charles Grisham (edited for print) To Sis Grisham, the children, grandchildren friends, and colleagues in ministry, I greet you in the name of Jesus. Today, I am extremely honored to rise and lend my voice in extending double honor and recognition of this great apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, and of one of my fathers in the gospel. I met Pastor Grisham twenty nine years ago and my life was indelibly and forever impacted by his life and ministry. Over the years I developed so many memories of Pastor Grisham. For example; singing songs like- “down from his glory, I must be saved” and others that we sang here tonight. I have memories of a real man, yet one who cried with the tears of Jeremiah, with his passion for God and souls. I remember him as one who was not intimidated by the ministry of others, but was very comfortable in his own calling. I remember him as one with dignity and poise but who modeled passion in praise and worship. He was conservative b ...
Have you ever met someone that seems to always live in the past? You might be that person, always feeling guilty of some regret, hurt, or broken relationship? Maybe you just always feel like you let God down? Listen, the call of Christian living is not backwards, but forward! The call of Christian living is not for regrettable experiences that lie behind, but doing the will of God, which is always ahead, beckoning us to follow Him into a bright new future! The apostle Paul put it like, “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14) Let go of the past, forget about it. God has! Live everyday focused on doing His will...
Christ-Revealing Worship Conference is open to all worshipers of God who share the same life goal with the Apostle Paul, "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2 ESV).
What was the most important ministry you committed to publicly when you made your marriage vows? Was it parenting? Educating your children? Serving in Christ’s church, missions, Sunday school, youth work, or evangelism? All of these are important to God, but did He declare that any of them is to be your primary relationship for all of life? God’s Blueprint for Marriage After combing God’s Word for instructions about marriage, I found only one mandate repeatedly presented. Four times God stated His mandate for marriage—once in the Old Testament and three times in the New Testament (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Mark 10:7–8; Ephesians 5:31). A quick analysis of the references reveals that this mandate was laid down by the Author of marriage—once before man fell into sin, and three times afterward. This means that God’s plan applies to both perfect and sinful humans. Here is God’s simple and clear commission, His Genesis mandate, to husbands and wives: “For this cause shall a man leave [forsa ...

READ CAREFULLY. Turkey is in the present day Europe and partly in Asia. •Apostle Paul was a citizen of Turkey because Tarsus exists in Turkey. •Christianity existed in Turkey for about 1,023 years while Christianity has only existed in Nigeria for 172yrs starting from when Rev. Birch Freeman came to Badagry in 1842. •The seven churches Jesus spoke to in Revelations 2 & 3(Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea,) existed in the old Turkey. •The disciples were first called Christians in Turkey(Antioch) •Turkey once had the largest Christian auditorium in Europe called Hagia Sophia in Constantinople. •Mary the mother of Jesus was taken to Turkey by Apostle John and till date, her room has become a tourist centre. TURKEY TODAY •Present day Turkey now has 96% muslims & 0.02% Christians(less than 130,000). •The Hagia Sophia(once largest church in Europe) was taken over by muslims and converted to a mosque for over 400yrs and later used as an Islamic Museum WHY CHRI ...

Good morning all!!.from my devotion.Where, O Death, Is Your Victory? January 17, 2015 “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far… (Philippians 1:23 NIV) No matter what you believe, we’re all going to die a physical death. And throughout the history of humanity, because of conscience, terror of the unknown, and even the Old Testament law, the subject of death has been no joke. Thank God it doesn’t end there. Through Jesus’ coming into this world and living and dying for us who would believe in him, and through his resurrection as the firstborn among many brethren, he defeated the specter of death. More than that, he actually brought a sweetness to death, so that the Apostle Paul talked about not being sure which he wanted to do: depart this life and go be with Christ, or stay for the sake of the believers. Throughout the New Testament, death was actually referred to as sleep. Jesus called it sleep when he was about to raise a young girl who had died. ...
TNN ONLINE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY NOW AVAILABLE! ACTS 18:1-6 What has been commonly labeled the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, is actually a second piece of correspondence written to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 5:9), and is a letter which tends to be quite puzzling for not just Christian readers, but most especially Messianic readers. While 1 Corinthians is hardly a letter that goes unappreciated, being able to sort through the divisions, sectarianism, and inappropriate actions of the different groups among the First Century Corinthian Believers, is something that can catch many completely off guard. Not enough, in looking through 1 Corinthians, are aware that they are engaged in reading one side of a two-sided conversation, between the Apostle Paul and a group of people who widely, and in some cases desperately, needed discipline and help. Between the letters of 1 and 2 Corinthians, more was written from the Apostle Paul to the Corinthian Messiah followers, than any other group in the ...

1500 year-old Bible found in Turkey, Jesus Christ Was Not Crucified, Vatican in shock! Posted: 13 Jan 2015 10:54 PM PST Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara. Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet. The book also calls Apostle Paul “The Impostor”. The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place. A report by The National Turk says that the Bible was seized from a gang of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. The report states the gang was charged with smuggling antiquities, illegal excavations, and the possession of explosives. The books itself is valued as high as 40 Million Turkish Liras (approx. 28 mil. Dollars). Man, where is the Thieves Guild, when you need them? Authenticity Accor ...
Pastor John explains 7 life lessons from the Apostle Paul that are suited for the New Year on his blog:
Do you know why many believers today have a confused perspective of God? What would cause believers to think that God is sometimes angry with them, but at other times pleased with them? Why would some believers think that their heavenly Father would actualy punish them with sicknesses and diseases when it woud be unthinkable for them to inflict such draconian measures on their own children? What accounts for this apparent schizophrenia that exists in the body of Christ today? I submit to you that this confusion stems from what is called "Galatianism." Galatianism is essentially a mixture of covenants. It is the intermingling of teachings about God which contain a little bit of the law as well as a little bit of grace. The church in Galatia was struggling with this, and from the severity of Apostle Paul's tone to the Galatians, it is obvious that Paul regarded this issue very seriously. You will never find Paul saying to the believers in the church of Corinth, "O foolish Corinthians!" Yet, we know that the ...

Today we had blessed Church service in our Church in Nepal. We read Psalm 144 at the time of praise and worship and we praised the name of our rock. And I have preached the sermon from the Book of the Acts Chapter 24-25. Today the Lord spoke in my heart from these words of God to be continuing in God's business. It was a great privilege to King David and Apostle Paul and now by the grace of the Lord I also got this opportunity to be in the ministry of the Lord God almighty. Praise the Lord. I am waiting to preach the gospel and the words of our Lord not only in our Church but also in all over the world. I am waiting God will open the great door for me. The team at "Brother's Keeper" Film wanted to take a minute to wish you all a Happy New Year. 2015 is going to be a very important year for all of us. We don't know what you have planned for the following year, but why not start with a - sitting aside all that so easily entangles us as the Apostle Paul admonishes us to do. We are nearing the end of our race to release our film in theaters, and we couldn't be more excited about it. Hope to see you there! Click the video below to watch a New Year's message from Director, Josh Mills.
Be an Example 1 Timothy 4:12-16 Probably most of us can identify more closely with the person and ministry of Timothy than with that of the stalwart apostle Paul. The Lord entrusted young Timothy with the responsibility of charging the churches to adhere to sound doctrine and practice. In so doing, he functioned as a Spirit-called pastor. But he still had doubts and concerns about his ability to preform this high and holy calling, as is probably true for every dedicated believer who purposes to live a life that will bring glory to God and be a blessing to others. With this in mind, Paul recognized the need to admonish the Corinthian church to accept Timothy's ministry as authoritative among then in the same manner that they accepted Paul's ministry. They were not to slight Timothy's ministry nor cause him to be afraid while in their midst (1 Cor.16:10-11). Consider how Timothy was divinely enabled to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as one of His disciples indeed (Jn.8:31). Young Timothy was to exemplify ...
QUESTION: What does Romans 11:29 mean? ANSWER: To get a proper understanding of the context of that verse, let’s read Romans 11:25-29, “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” Romans, chapters 9-11 deal mainly with the ‘setting aside’ of the nation of Israel as the favored people of God because of their unbelief. The Lord Jesus lamented the rejection and unbelief of Israel in Matthew 23:37 where He said, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou ...
WHEN confronted with a problem involving the use of the reasoning faculties, individuals of strong intellect keep their poise, and seek to reach a solution by obtaining facts bearing upon the question. Those of immature mentality, on the other hand, when similarly confronted, are overwhelmed. While the former may be qualified to solve the riddle of their own destiny, the latter must be led like a flock of sheep and taught in simple language. They depend almost entirely upon the ministrations of the shepherd. The Apostle Paul said that these little ones must be fed with milk, but that meat is the food of strong men. Thoughtlessness is almost synonymous with childishness, while thoughtfulness is symbolic of maturity. There are, however, but few mature minds in the world; and thus it was that the philosophic-religious doctrines of the pagans were divided to meet the needs of these two fundamental groups of human intellect--one philosophic, the other incapable of appreciating the deeper mysteries of life. Here's an important meditation on Kwanzaa by a black Mormon, Tekulvē Vann. A Celebration of Faith and Culture: A Latter-day Saint Perspective on Kwanzaa I was relatively new to the mission field when my first Christmas box arrived. Packed among the usual missionary favorites were seven gifts that I knew were not to be opened on Christmas Day. Each of the gifts were numbered, and I was more than certain that my sister had been in charge of deciding which gift was to be opened on which day. My missionary companion was confused about the additional gifts that my mother had been sure not to wrap with traditional Christmas wrapping paper. As I explained to him that they were Kwanzaa gifts, he innocently asked about my “Black Christmas” celebration. I had never given Kwanzaa much thought growing up because it was just a part of what happened each year. The local University would host a community-wide Kwanzaa celebration, and we would make plans to attend each year. Here I was, a 19 year old charged with te ...
It’s a Brand New Year! It arrived last Thursday at mid-night, some three days ago if you’re reading this on Sunday, January 4, 2015. For many of us, it seems it took 365 days to learn to write 2014 with consistency – now we need to learn to write the correct year all over again! For most of us, there are things of 2014 we’re glad have ended and we desire to keep them in the past! Likewise, there were some very great blessings in 2014 we wish to treasure for many years to come! Still, the truth is God has given us but one day at a time: and as we count that time, we’re now four days into 2014. Thinking of NEW things might help us in how we value each day of this New Year. Within the past week or so, several “new” items found their way into our possessions. Perhaps it is the giver; perhaps it is the value of the item; perhaps it is some combination of both or more realities: yet it is something NEW and we don’t want the item damaged. We’ll do what we can to keep it safe, clean, maintained, ...

Who is Marcus Marriota? Read this below. High-charged Heisman winner Mariota powered by God Still in his junior year, the Oregon Ducks' Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota appears to be more than ready for the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day against the Florida State Seminoles – gearing up not with just a helmet and shoulder pads, but with the complete armor of God. Perhaps one of the most successful Pac-12 quarterbacks in NCAA history, and becoming the first Oregon Duck and Hawaii-born athlete to win the Heisman, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound quarterback – a staunch Christian – received an astonishing 88.4 percent of first-place votes, accumulating the second-highest percentage of possible points (90.9 percent) in the history of the highly esteemed college football trophy. Winning all but four of the 39 games he's played as a Duck, Mariota's stats continue to fill the record books, as the AP Player of the Year finished first in the NCAA this year in both passer and total quarterback rating, yards per attemp ...
Happy New Year! God is SO GOOD! Check this out. He loves you more than anybody on this earth could possibly love you, that's the truth! It doesn't matter what you have done! The Apostle Paul killed people for believing in Jesus. Look what God did with him. Moses killed someone, look what God did with Him. David killed lots of people and did a lot of other bad things too. Look what God did with him. They all repented and sought after God and He herd there cry. These are all mighty men of God! One year ago today I woke up with a massive hangover smelling like fire. Got up and my whole family was gone, the music was still on. I had ran everbody off after a night of heavy drinking. I felt like I wanted to die. I grabbed my shotgun and just layed in bed with it. Started trying to find a bullet to put in my head. Couldn't find one. I had shot the only bullet I had off the night before when I ran everybody off from the party. My phone was gone, my truck was wrecked and it was just me and my shotgun. After laying ...
Heavenward by Scotty Smith A Prayer for the New Year 01 Jan 2015 This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!“ Jer. 9:23-24 (NLT) Dear heavenly Father, on this New Year’s Day, thank you for the gift of a New Year. But first of all, thank you for all the grace you lavished on us in the past year. You remained faithful even when we were faithless; you gave us daily mercies, and we needed your mercy on a daily basis; you delighted in us when we tried to find our delight in anything else but you. Your love is irrepressible, inexhaustible, and inexplicable, apart from hat Jesus has done for us. And now, in response to the words you spoke through J ...
"Here is a good resolution for the New Year, given by the Apostle Paul. "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." (Philippians 2:14-15) Rather than using FB this year to "vent" and complain thereby dimming your light for Christ, immediately go to your prayer closet and get the Holy Spirit involved so that rather than complaining to everyone you can instead be praising God for what He has brought you through!!" -- Darren McClerren
likes olives? DELICIOUS OLIVES and BIBLE FACTS: The olive tree is native to the Mediterranean Sea region where it has been cultivated since ancient times. Growing to heights ranging from 10 to 40 feet / 3 to 12 meters, the fruit was used as food and as a source of lamp oil. A dove from the ark brought an olive leaf to Noah after The Flood (Genesis 8:11). Olive oil was used to fuel the Menorah in The Tabernacle In The Wilderness (Leviticus 24:1-2), and later in the Temple (see Temples) in Jerusalem. When the Israelites entered The Promised Land upon completion of their 40-year Wilderness Journey after the Exodus, there were established olive groves awaiting them (Deuteronomy 6:11). Yeshua was arrested on The Mount Of Olives that Fateful Night, and He ascended into Heaven from there after His Resurrection from The Tomb. The apostle Paul (see On The Road To Damascus) used the pruning and grafting of olive trees as analogies for the rejection of Israelites who reject Him, and of the acceptance of Gentiles int ...
ACTIVATION If I had to pinpoint one word that I believe God is speaking over 2015 I would say ACTIVATION. It is the word that comes up in my spirit when I pray over my nation, city, home church, ministry partners, family, and my own life - ACTIVATION. Many of us have experienced transition and repositioning in these past few years. There have been new jobs, new homes, new relationships, new ministries, and new business ventures. There has also been much releasing or laying down of many of the same types of things – and for some it has been a painful transition. God has been positioning and repositioning His people into the places of maximum impact for His purposes in our lives. He did what was necessary to have us positioned where He wanted us – ready for what He had planned, ready for activation. Some of us already know the reasons and others are still seeking and asking “why”? In either case, God has been at work and if you’ve been listening and have allowed God to position you correctly, thi ...
I greatly enjoyed TO LIVE IS CHRIST, by Beth Moore. Ladies, if you want a study on the life of The Apostle Paul, either solo or group, I doubt you could do any better.
The apostle Paul wrote: When you eat or drink or do anything else, always do it to honour God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (www.LCWords.com)
I am freshly impressed and humbled by the standard of love and care shown by the apostle Paul and his companions towards the new Christians in Thessalonica. How loving, sweet, tender, pure and self-sacrificing they were - as gentle as a nursing mother and as caring as a comforting and exhorting father. "But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God. You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory." ( 1 . ...
Ray Lundy, a dear friend and high school classmate, penned this and I wanted to share: CONTENTMENT By Ray Lundy The Apostle Paul said it best: “I have learned, in whatever state I am in, therewith to be content,” Phil. 4:11. I often wonder if Paul had read the works of the Roman statesman, Lucius Annaeus Seneca, Seneca the Younger. Seneca also wrote a similar phrase: “A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it be.” Of course, Seneca had read the writings of a Greek slave named Aesop, who dispensed wisdom and truth in little stories called fables, and the little fables used animals to dispense truths. Aesop inserted his truth in this quote: “Be content with your lot; one cannot be first in everything.” Other philosophers through the centuries had said similar things, but the truth of the matter is the same: Learn to live in whatever state you are in, and be content with it. Surely, one can change his status in life with smarts and hard work, but still one must not always be striving a ...
Mid-Week Devotion Happy New Year Parish Family and Friends Okay - so last week's musing was not my last Mid-Week Devotion... this week's is :-) “It always is harder to be left behind than to be the one to go...” (Brock Thoene, Shiloh Autumn) Human life is, among many other aspects, a journey of greetings and farewells. More than 130 million babies were greeted as they began life this year; around 56 million lives were bid goodbye. Add to that new friends moving in, neighbors relocating, co-workers changing jobs... pastors moving on, and life is filled with the joy and grief of life's transitions. “I don't know how you say good-bye to whom and what you love. I don't know a painless way to do it, don't know the words to capture a heart so full and a longing so intense.” (Laura Wiess, How It Ends) Grief and joy are markers along the way that inform the sojourner that the path of Love has been traversed. Where Love is, the fragrance of joy and grief will blossom. Now, to be frank, I very much prefer j ...
"In Christ we are a new creation!" Great words from Paul the apostle as we begin a New Year in Christ's hands.
New Year Resolution: May we be found faithful to the Lord Christ; fruitful in our walk & witness. My prayer is that of the Apostle Paul--"...this one thing I do, forgetting those things that are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before (ahead of us), I press toward the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil.3:13b-14). Let's learn from the past; forgive those who've failed us & seek forgiveness from those we've failed; and let us go forward together for the glory of our Great God & the furtherance of the Kingdom. Happy & Blessed New Year, my dear friends.
The apostle Paul said it well also when he said I do the things I shouldn't do and don't do the things I should.
TWO ESSENTIAL DUTIES FOR BEARING MUCH FRUIT — Jesus once said he wanted all believers to “bear much fruit” (Jn 14:8) The “fruit” he had in mind is essentially to express attitudes and actions that accord with the Spirit who lives within every believer. Now perhaps you judge yourself pretty barren, stuck on an ever-inclining treadmill of cynicism about the Christian life. You doubt you will ever progress to the point of having “much fruit.” At the start of the New Year, I wish to remind you of a key part of fruitfulness. Bearing spiritual fruit is something like farming. When a farmer sets out to raise a crop he knows certain things are beyond his power. Only God can provide sun and rain. The Lord secretly determines which seeds germinate and then causes them to blossom and ripen. On the other hand, God has empowered the farmer to use certain means. He also holds the farmer accountable to use them in faith. Harvest hinges as much on the farmer's tilling and sowing, watering and fertilizing, a ...

IT’S TIME TO CLEAN UP MY LIFE. Another year, another round of resolutions. What will you resolve to do? Maybe your resolution goes deeper than losing weight or saving money. Maybe you’re ready for a life makeover—a fresh start. But is that even possible? Sometimes we make so-called resolutions that are little more than wishful thinking. We might want to change, but until we do something about it, it isn’t a resolution. A true resolution puts our wishes into action. So what can you do? The Bible has a lot to say about wanting to better yourself. The Apostle Paul said in Romans 7:18, “I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.” Why is that? As imperfect people, we’re often attracted to things that aren’t good for us. We have a problem called sin that weakens our souls. That keeps us from doing what we know we should do. Just like someone with a broken leg can’t compete in a race, someone with a broken soul can’t live the right way. Sometimes we start goin ...
Ten Days of Prayer and then, “Pentecostal Fire” Our Leaders Use To Pray To One God The Heavenly Father is ready to pour out His fire upon hungry saints that have no other source on which they are depending. Everybody needs to watch or listen to this Telecast or Broadcast ! Prayer, communion with the Heavenly Father, is surely one of the grandest privileges of His Saints. I thought to use the term “Royal Telephone,” but as I searched for the right words, it sounded too cheap. Instead of “Royal Telephone,” let’s use the term “Royal Conversation.” We are desperate to rediscover the “God-ordained” necessity of Holy Ghost-filled praying. Royal conversation is the one “all engaging” power that moves God on behalf of His kingdom. And if prayer is to move God, it must be “all engaging” and our only source of power. If there is anything else we are depending upon, whether it is secondary or insignificant beside prayer, then prayer is of no avail. When the church is cleansed of depende ...

8 Keys to Knowing God’s Will For Your Life!!! by Chris Russell When I was a young man, I seemed to continually wrestle with knowing God’s will for my life. I wanted more than anything to follow His plan. Interestingly, now that I’m “old” (currently 47 years old), I still wrestle with doing His will in my life. I have come to learn that this is not just something that a young person does early in life; it is a lifelong pursuit in order to stay in the exact center of His plan. So, then, how can we know God’s plan for our lives? Over the past twenty-five years that I have been in ministry, I have discovered eight vital keys to knowing God’s will. Here they are: 1) Walk with God. For starters, if you are interested in knowing God’s plan for your life, then you must learn to walk with God. You need to develop a relationship with Him. Christianity is all about relationship rather than just religion. And so you must cultivate your relationship with God. You must seek to know Him and not just seek ...
TOPIC: BUT GODLY SORROW LEADS TO REPENTANCE. -WHAT THE HOLY SCRIPTURES SAY ABOUT THIS MATTER- “For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were for a season. Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance: for you were made sorry after a godly manner: that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter….2ND CORINTHIANS 7:11. -THE MESSAGE- It is imperative that when the truth is revealed in every contentious matter, especially in matters pertaining and affecting a number of individuals, ...

"Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk---not as unwise people but as wise---making the most of the time, because the days are evil." - Ephesians 5: 15-16 Well, it's New YearS EVE!!! CAN IT BE? WHERE HAS THIS YEAR GONE? As hard as it is to believe, 2014 is just about over with. So, if there is something that we need to get done this year, we had better get to it!!! Many of us today are finding ourselves thinking, "Where has the time gone?" You know, we probably do not always think about it, but TIME IS A GIFT FROM GOD!!! In our scripture verses for today, the Apostle Paul teaches us that we should MAKE THE MOST OF OUR TIME!!! While we may know that we should use our time wisely, we also know that, sadly, we do not always do this. As we look back on this year that is swiftly coming to an end, perhaps we can recall days where we are guilty of wasting time. The thing about time is, ONCE IT'S GONE, IT'S GONE!!! We can never get it back, so we had better use every moment of the time we have b ...

BIGOTS BEWARE: This is for all those so called Christians who have vowed not to vote for Buhari because he is a muslim and a northerner. By Arinola BA - I don't believe that it is possible for a Spirit-filled child of God to be a tribalist or a racist. If you claim to be born-again and you are a tribalist or a racist, then your salvation is not genuine. Repent today so that the bitterness and hatred in your heart will not lead you to *** The more I look around, the more I thank God that Apostle Paul was not like many of the believers of this generation. If he were like them, I don't think we would have the New Testament letters today. He was very keen on getting the gospel to the gentiles even though he was a Jew. Repent today. Hating or disliking a person because he is black, white, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Asian, Christian, or Muslim is not of God. Don't take the hatred in your heart with you into 2015. Remember that the Apostle John told us that a person who hates his brother is no different from a murd .. ...

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE... Jun Orbita GIVE TIME FOR GOD... LET'S DEEPEN OUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE TRUE GOSPEL... KNOW THE WAYS OF GOD... WHAT IS THE GOSPEL AND HOW IS THE GOSPEL PREACHED BY THE MEMBERS AND MESSENGERS OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST? Speaking of the Gospel, it is the power of God to save as Apostle Paul wrote. " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17) PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT IN CHRISTIANITY, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO PERVERT THE GOSPEL AND THIS IS THE WORK OF THE DEVIL. BUT BY IDENTIFYING THE TRUE MESSAGE, WE CAN SEE ALSO HOW THE DEVIL MANEUVERS HIS SCHEME TO DECEIVE US. " I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, ...
The One True Church by Pastor Cornelius R. Stam Religious people — even sincere Christian people — may divide themselves into various denominations or churches, but there is no indication in the Bible that God recognizes these divisions. Indeed, God makes it abundantly clear that in His sight there is but one Church, composed of all who truly trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. In I Cor. 12:12,13 the Apostle Paul declares by divine inspiration: “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ: “FOR BY ONE SPIRIT ARE WE ALL BAPTIZED INTO ONE BODY….” Again, in Rom. 12:5, he says: “SO WE, BEING MANY, ARE ONE BODY IN CHRIST, AND EVERY ONE MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER.” Indeed, it is on the basis of the fact that there is but “one body” in God’s sight that He exhorts us to seek to “keep the unity of the Spirit”: “ENDEAVORING TO KEEP THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT IN THE BOND OF PEACE. “THERE IS ONE BOD ...

12/05/2014 CHRIST in You Max Lucado Proliferating throughout Scripture is an enticing and inviting preposition —the preposition “in.” JESUS lives in HIS children. From Revelation 3:20, JESUS says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears MY voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with ME.” GOD in us! Have we sounded the depth of this promise? With GOD in you, you have a million resources you didn't have before. Can’t stop worrying? CHRIST can. And HE lives within you. Can’t forget the past, forgive the jerk, or forsake your bad habits? CHRIST can! And HE lives in you. Oh to be so full of HIM that we could say with the apostle Paul, “It is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me!”
Thats what Apostle Paul did not like these so called Grace preacher today
Change Your Routine The greatest trouble with most of us is that our demands upon ourselves are so feeble, the call upon the great within us so weak and intermittent that it makes no impression upon the creative energies; it lacks the force that transmutes desires into realities. - Orison Swett Marden For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. – Romans 7:15 NKJV The apostle Paul asked, “What am I doing? Why can’t I stop doing it?” Sometimes we can change what we do by making better choices. But the things that are really difficult to change are those well-developed habits we do without thinking. We need an extreme makeover to force us to consciously retrain so we can accomplish what we plan to do. How do we break bad habits? The very fact that a method or activity is a habit means we’re not consciously aware of doing it. Repetition has programmed us to perform a behavioural response subconsciously. But we can develop a ne ...
I've read several versions of New Testament as adult. John's pseudo-gospel is an abomenation. Your apostle Paul is perverted.
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 -- Apostle Paul
The book of First Timothy, Chapter 2, begins with some very specific instructions from the Apostle Paul. As Believers, we can also take these instructions to be for us. Verses 1-2 say, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” God wants us to pray for those in authority because our prayers can play a role in shaping the decisions, policies, and activities of the people who rule our lands. I don’t know about you, but as a Christian I want to see the hand of God move in our nation. I often say that every failure is a prayer failure. I challenge Christians everywhere to pray and fast for nations and it, leaders God can still work through them to achieve His ultimate purposes when we pray and intercede for them. Let’s pray for God to get involved with the decisions they are going to make so that our nat ...
Luke 1:26-38 God sent the angel Gabriel to … a virgin pledged to be married. Luke 1:26-27 It is strange enough that God includes finite human beings—mere creatures—in his magnificent plan to redeem the world. But he often makes a point of using people who are weak and insignificant rather than powerful and influential! I probably would have enlisted the resources of the Roman Caesar Augustus. But no. God bypasses the power structures of the day and goes to a nothing town in Galilee. He calls on a young virgin and her insignificant fianc?. What is God thinking? God is thinking the same thing that was on his mind when he inspired David to battle Goliath; when he arranged for a Jewish girl named Hadassah (Esther) to win a Persian beauty contest; when he called lowly fishermen to be disciples and then leaders of his church. When great good triumphs through weak and insignificant people, it’s easy to see that the humans aren’t the ones behind it. God is! Years later the apostle Paul would write to th ...
So much more is revealed personally about the amazing Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians than in any of his other writings. Wednesday night at church during fellowship the subject came up about who we most want to spend eternity with. Naturally, the most popular answer was Jesus. Of course, Heaven won't feel like Home to me until I meet my Savior and my Judge face to face and get a big hug from Him telling me I passed the test. But I figure Jesus will be so busy with all the other saints, and I've always felt such a connection to Paul, that I have this burning desire in my soul to spend eternity talking with him, There are so many personality traits and talents we share, I see a common mindset in so many ways, and there are qualities about him that I deeply admire, and some I recognize in myself. From I Corinthians alone I get that Paul is warm and encouraging, a peacemaker, a stumbling block to Jews, (I certainly tried my best to get the Greenberg kids to see my Jesus viewpoints.) f ...
Good Morning my Beautiful Sunshines! Happy and Blessed Friday to you all! Jesus is The Light of the world, we need to make sure we follow The Light that will guide us to see what’s ahead of us. Both Physically and Spiritually. Our Spiritual Food for Today, comes from Colossians 1:9-10 ESV: And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. The Apostle Paul and his team lets the church of Colossae know they having been praying without ceasing, for them. For their increased spiritual wisdom and understanding. Which will lead them/us to walk in a manner that is worthy and pleasing to God. He will say, “That’s my daughter, or that’s my son! They trust Me to be their God. And I will never take my hands off of them. Look at how they rep ...
BIBLE TEACHING ON WATER BAPTISM “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19 Water baptism is a command of Jesus Christ to His disciples; this is what you every child of God should do as long they live after salvation. Water baptism is a symbolic burial, by which the new Christian publicly declares they have died, and are now beginning a new life, in Christ. Baptize is the English form of a Greek word which means to immerse: to place something into something else. In Christian water baptism, the believer is put completely under water, then immediately raised out of the water. Water baptism is a statement of faith: my old life is behind me -- I am a new person, with a new life. Water baptism is a sign of repentance -- repentance means change -- a change so drastic that the old person is "buried." It does not make you acceptable to God. As a work of righteousness, trying to obtain a good standing with G ...
Except for Josephus, Pilate, Gamaliel, Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, and more who we have evidence DID exist. So all liars?
Thoughts on the Grace of God, Faith and Salvation... Throughout the book of Acts, we see the Holy Spirit being given (Spirit baptism) both before, and after, water baptism. Neither of these has a particular precedence of order in the Christian faith, but both are the response of obedient faith (for by grace are we saved through faith). They are each intended for the Christian to experience as a result of their faith in Christ. Here are a couple of things to consider regarding this: 1) In John 3, Jesus expressed to Nicodemus that salvation comes through being "born again", and he further defined this new birth as being born a) "of water" and b) "of Spirit". Jesus said that it is impossible to enter, or even see heaven without this new birth. We begin to see by this account that salvation has several aspects to it... Belief (John 3:16), Water Baptism (John 3:5) and Spirit Baptism (also John 3:5). These aren't spoken of in an order of precedence, however we can reason that belief, or faith, must precede anyt ...
THE 7 VIRTUES OF A GODLY HUSBAND Woman you must start Praying Sincerely & Honestly for God’s right time – If you want a Godly Husband in your Life then Your heart should be so lost in God that a man will start to seek God in order to find you. Keep Praying and Your Prince Charming will arrive in God’s Perfect Time. 1: Selflessness – Men, in general, tend to be selfish and it is one of the reasons that marriages are failing in greater numbers. A Godly husband is selfless, like Jesus. He never focused attention onto himself, but rather always on the Father and then His bride (the church). A Godly husband will follow that example by focusing his attention on God first and then his wife. Jesus taught husbands how to be servant leaders and that is what every marriage needs. Let us learn from Jesus, as He would first go to the Father for instructions and then focus on the needs of the people. As I started going to God every morning for instructions, He would help me to see how I could serve my wife ever ...
"Every Part of You" Offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. ROMANS 6:13 I desire that you be completely Mine. Can you offer Me: Your passion for pleasure Your longings for love Your drive for success Your desire to be noticed Your every desperate thought? Don't worry that I will waste or mistreat what you offer Me. I will use it for My purposes, and you will experience the kind of joy that comes from being wholly Mine. The apostle Paul referred to this as offering your bodies as a living sacrifice and he equated it to "your true and proper worship" (Romans12:1). "Do not conform to the pattern of this of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2). That's how I work through you -- when I transform and renew your mind. Lord, I want to be completely Yours for whatever You have in mind. Take all of me-- my thoughts, desires, attitudes, and longings. By: Cinidi McMenamin
How an Audience Becomes a Congregation We’ve got to become pastors if we want our people to become congregations. —William Willimon The first Christmas I was at Duke, during the time I was not preaching regularly, my wife and I attended a local church. That year Christmas fell on a Sunday. Our son was 2 years old, so we dressed him up in his spanking new Christmas clothes and headed jubilantly off to church. We looked forward to the service with anticipation. But when the pastor stood up to welcome the congregation, he said, “Today is the first time in a while that Christmas has fallen on Sunday. It would have been unfair to ask the choir to sing this morning, this being a big family day and all, so they won’t be singing. “I’m not really going to preach this morning either. Instead, I’ve got a little story to share with you. You know, I’m amazed you’re here this morning. Most of you have guests from out of town. Coming today was such an inconvenience.” “I’m leaving,” my wife whis ...
On a Christian pilgrimage? Don't miss Mdina, the city where Apostle St. Paul lived.. more:
At the parousia, the second coming of Christ, those who died in Christ and the living believers will be given the final and full “redemption of our body” (Romans 8:23). That body will be prepared for and suited to the final state of the Christian believer (1 Cor. 15:23, 26, 54). “When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:4). The apostle Paul tells us that we shall be included in the radiance of the coming glory, which will put into perspective the present sufferings we experience. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us” (Romans 8:18).

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY Friday December 5 My friend’s eyes revealed what I was feeling— fear! We two 13-year-olds had behaved poorly and were now cowering before the camp director. The man, who knew our dads well, raised the decibels as he shouted, “You, the son of *** Thomas, and you, the son of Ray Felten, how could you have done this?” Needless to say, we wanted to crawl under the table—feeling the weight of personal responsibility for our offense, and having remorse over the shame we had brought to our fathers. God gave Zephaniah a message for the people of Judah that contained some potent words about personal responsibility for sin (Zephaniah 1:1,6-7). After spending chapter 2 describing the judgments He would bring against Judah’s foes, He turned His eyes squarely on His squirming people in chapter 3. “What sorrow awaits rebellious, polluted Jerusalem!” God proclaimed (3:1). “[The people] get up early to continue their evil deeds” (v.7). He had seen the cold hearts of His people ...
Spending a little more time each day in the study as my recovery continues. I had a really good day yesterday, actually able to work on some church material for a while. I was able to spend all day up reading, studying and just being awake. I even made a couple of HF Radio contacts. Yesterday’s activities however have consequences today. My mental process is just a little fuzzy today and I am not very comfortable sitting anywhere today. The Doctors said it would be like this and they have been very accurate all through this process. I begged Linda to take me up the church today so I could grab the video files from the last three weeks so when the mental fog clears I may be able to edit some video and get it posted on our web site. Our elders have been doing a great job teaching and preaching and I want to make sure everyone gets to share in their teaching. But a 20 minute trip to the church was enough to force me to rest for a while. Videos will be posted, eventually. God continues to bless us as we nav ...
Let’s pray. Heavenly father we want to thank you, we bless your holy name for this morning. We thank you for grace to be in your presence. Lord I am asking for a fresh unction to be able to deliver your message to your Church. I pray that your people will receive understanding. I pray that your name will be glorified. I hand over to you, Holy Spirit. In Jesus name we have prayed, Amen. Praise the Lord! My name is Bosun Emmanuel. A little bit about myself and the ministry. I didn't tell Pastor (the Pastor of where this message was recorded), I didn't want to tell him that I was ordained in the Redeem Christian Church Of God (RCCG) as an Assistant Pastor; as a Full Pastor; and that I was the National Coordinator of Redeem Christian Church of God in Germany for many years. The Lord sent us packing from Germany in 2006 and told me to go back home, of course you wouldn't want to return to Nigeria if you were living in Germany, you know what I mean. And when we asked, what are supposed to do in Nigeria? There ...
I have found that God always has far more to give me than i can even ask or think as apostle paul said now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think ,acording to the power that works in us to Him be glory in the church of Krest Jesus to all generations for ever and ever ephesians 3:2o-21 so if God wants to give u more than you are asking would you rather have what you are asking or what God wants to give ?only the spirit of God knws what God is doing or purposing in your lyf.so let God give you all that He wants to give you.For the spirit searches all things even the deep thing of God.
THIS IS RARELY A BIG TOPIC IN DECEMBER— NOT EVEN IN CHURCH MEETINGS! NEVERTHELESS, JESUS was tempted in all points as we— yet, He did not sin! On the cross, Jesus paid the sinner’s sin debt so as to be the sinner’s sin bearer, the sinner’s substitute, and the sinner’s Saviour! Thus, the redeemed sinner is SAVED FROM sin’s penalty, sin’s dominating power, and one day even from the possibility of sinning! PRAISE GOD— JESUS GETS RID OF SIN! BEWARE: Popular preachers are denying, minimizing, and/or hiding the problem of sin! Larry King: "You don't call them (those to whom he preaches) sinners?" Joel Osteen: "I don't." Larry King: "Is that a word you don't use?" Joel Osteen: "I don't use it. I never thought about it. But I probably don't… I don't go down the road of condemning." (Joel Osteen, "Larry King live," Aired June 20, 2005) CONTRAST: "And she [Mary] shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call His name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their SIN." Your past has nothing to do with your future if you know how to handle it. Be like Apostle Paul, forget d ugly past. Face tomorrow rejoicing
I was thinking/praying in bed last night about what the Bible calls "the old landmarks." Those times God moved on my behalf, changing me forever in the process; about how I've seen His hand in so many of the experiences during my life and in the lives of my children and those around me. I believe His word about the sufferings and trials of life bringing forth more fruit ~sweeter fruit, in reality, than in the easy times or times of prosperity and blessings. I see this in my own life. It makes me wonder if, at times, I've become so hurt in my flesh that I "protected myself" by becoming indifferent, hardened, bitter or using a wall of anger so that it takes catastrophic things to "shake " me out of a spiritual sleep. Surely I wouldn't be so foolish~but I find that I am. I find myself in a new place that I didn't expect; in a situation I didn't think would happen for several years to come~ a crossroads of sorts that causes me to step back and look anew at my relationship with God; at how much I REALLY trust ...
Yes!! (Unless, of course, God's plan for me is to do the ol' Apostle Paul solo gig... in which case... eh...)
Christian Conduct How can a Christian know what he may or may not do? Is it all right for a believer to go to dances or to the theatre, to play cards, to smoke, to drink or to participate in other worldly pleasures and amusements? Many young converts are troubled by questions similar to the above. They find that certain practices are clearly condemned in the Bible, but that there are many others which are not mentioned. It is the purpose of this lesson to provide the student with a series of standards which may help him to decide whether or not he should engage in a questionable activity. 1. First of all, is it distinctly forbidden by the Lord for believers today? If it is, avoid it as you would a deadly plague. If you do not know, don't do it until you have had a chance to find out. Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 2. Then, is there any glory for God in it? In I Corinthians 10:31, we read this plain statement: "Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." Before you engage in t ...
Hello Fb families & Friends alike. What a B-E-A-UTIFUL Day here in the Tampa Bay Area. Lord, I Thank You. Here's to We the People. "Losing Our Way". The apostle Paul warned that love of money and the desire to get rich had cause some to lose their way. They had yield to temptations and embraced many "foolish and harmful desires" ( 1 Tim. 6:9 ).Father, it's easy to see the problem that others ( Bill Cosby and his Victims ) have with loving money. But I know I (we) have our own struggles too. I need Your help to learn faithfulness for all that You have given. Grow in me an attitude of contentment in You and not man. We all know to love money is to lose sight of the Source of life. As always, I Do Love me some all of You. God bless and enjoy your weekend. Go Bucs. ;)

November 11, 2014 The last two months have been a very fruitful time for us at Alive Again Ministries, Inc. We continued at two additional venues in South Florida (Key Largo and Homestead). We received a report of two groups now meeting at Rey de Reyes Presbyterian Church in Guadalajara, Mexico. we had a little health problem. I was getting the oil changed in our car when suddenly I lost the ability to talk. Praise the Lord, my brain “re-booted” in about an hour, but I was in the hospital for three days of testing. It was discovered that I have a tiny hole in my heart, which allowed a microscopic flack to be pumped to my brain, and voila I experienced a mini-stroke. Thankfully, I am well now, and we were able to take a short vacation to visit family. We went to AL, TN, FL, and GA. Here we are in East TN. The goal o f Alive Again Ministries is to help br ...

Theology from A Bunch of Dead Guys™ The Hall of Church History "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6:16). FRIEND who noticed my reading habits asked, "Why would anyone want to study theology by reading A Bunch of Dead Guys? Shouldn't you focus mostly on current works, or risk becoming an irrelevant theological fossil?" My answer: the truth about God is timeless. The last infallible book of theology was written nearly two thousand years ago. In theology, if it's new, it probably isn't true. The best of the men featured here knew that. Though they are dead, they still speak (cf. Heb. 11:4). Scripture was their supreme rule of faith. Their theological line of descent is clearly traceable from the Reformers, to Augustine, to the Apostle Paul, to Isaiah, to Abraham—all the way back to the first promise God made to Adam in the Garden (Gen. 3:15). The entrance is at the top ce ...
I CAN'T...CAN YOU? When I was living life within my foolish ways I was lead to believe I could, only to discover that I couldn't.Those who refuse to humble themselves will be humbled. I'm a living witness. That's why I speak with conviction about having a relationship with God, because I know how it feels to Live life without him. It's sad, it's lonely, it's confusing, it's difficult, depressing, it's dark. However, just like the apostle Paul, I had my "Damascus road experience" that exposed me to the Light(Jesus) that changed my Life Forever. I don't need confirmation I know God is real and can't live life without him. To God be all the glory. If you've been there say y'all ~Mr.Ambition
The first Christian belief that created, "Struggling," in my life: 1. God is sovereign over the earth; therefore, this belief, demanded my praying and asking God for his help. And, when a prayer went unanswered, my Christian friends said, "Chuck, God always answers your prayers, with a yes, no, or later." That comforting answer caused a self analysis, and according to Christian beliefs, I was not praying enough, reading the Bible enough, tithing enough, or perhaps, I was guilty of the "Sin of Omission." My Christian friends were largely "Baptist," and reminded me there are "Sins of Commission and Sins of Omission," and God would forgive me, if I could figure out, exactly what "Sin" I had committed. Their comfort continued, as they reminded me, "If there is iniquity in your life, God cannot answer any prayer." This made me wonder if I had a "Religious or Spiritual Lobotomy," but later, after abandoning my Christian identity, I understood, that when facts are lies, and lies become facts, is called, "Cogn .. ...
Unequally Yoked Tonight may find some of you in one of these painful predicaments...tempted to enter into a relationship which the Bible describes as being "unequally yoked" or concerned for a friend or loved one in that situation. The partnership between a Christian and a nonbeliever is one which the Apostle Paul strongly warns against (II Corinthians 6:14)! Yet, thousands of Christians are lying awake tonight tormented either by a budding love for a nonbeliever, or a nonbeliever's love for them! The hunger for contact, companionship or a relationship can plague so heavily that God's perspective can be lost. As one girl said, "All my Christian friends say not to get involved with Henry, but I can't let him go...he's kind and successful, and loves me, so why not?" It's not possible to list all the reasons "why not?" but there are two keys to overcoming, or helping another overcome, this type of temptation...obedience and trust. Tonight, let the Holy Spirit lead you into a new dimension of obedience, wheth ...
"An Apple Does Not Fall Far From A Tree".Sir Isaac Newton was a Scientist that was born on December 25, 1642. A great physicist, and mathematician; who is said to have 'discovered' the Law of Gravity. Gravity is the force that attracts a body down, to the center of the earth. The higher the object, the faster, and harder the object falls. Perhaps Eve even noticed this as she watched a tree, with fruit that was forbidden; fruit that wasn't hers to have. I can imagine her noticing that when the fruit fell, it didn't fall far from the origin, the source it grew from. She had to get close to the tree, to get to the forbidden fruit. Adam, no doubt; recognized the danger and lure of 'falling' apples, because it most likely was him that added the clause that Eve told the Devil that God said. She said '.no, we must not TOUCH it'., God said 'don't eat', but evidently Eve must've showed some illicit interest in this 'certain' tree. She could eat of all the other trees, but it's always what we shouldn't have, that . ...
