Apostle Paul

Paul the Apostle (AD 5 – AD 67; variously referred to as the Apostle Paul or Saint Paul ), also known as Saul of Tarsus, is perhaps the most influential early Christian missionary.

READ CAREFULLY. Turkey is in the present day Europe and partly in Asia. •Apostle Paul was a citizen of Turkey because Tarsus exists in Turkey. •Christianity existed in Turkey for about 1,023 years while Christianity has only existed in Nigeria for 172yrs starting from when Rev. Birch Freeman came to Badagry in 1842. •The seven churches Jesus spoke to in Revelations 2 & 3(Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea,) existed in the old Turkey. •The disciples were first called Christians in Turkey(Antioch) •Turkey once had the largest Christian auditorium in Europe called Hagia Sophia in Constantinople. •Mary the mother of Jesus was taken to Turkey by Apostle John and till date, her room has become a tourist centre. TURKEY TODAY •Present day Turkey now has 96% muslims & 0.02% Christians(less than 130,000). •The Hagia Sophia(once largest church in Europe) was taken over by muslims and converted to a mosque for over 400yrs and later used as an Islamic Museum WHY CHRI ...
Good morning all!!.from my devotion.Where, O Death, Is Your Victory? January 17, 2015 “I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far… (Philippians 1:23 NIV) No matter what you believe, we’re all going to die a physical death. And throughout the history of humanity, because of conscience, terror of the unknown, and even the Old Testament law, the subject of death has been no joke. Thank God it doesn’t end there. Through Jesus’ coming into this world and living and dying for us who would believe in him, and through his resurrection as the firstborn among many brethren, he defeated the specter of death. More than that, he actually brought a sweetness to death, so that the Apostle Paul talked about not being sure which he wanted to do: depart this life and go be with Christ, or stay for the sake of the believers. Throughout the New Testament, death was actually referred to as sleep. Jesus called it sleep when he was about to raise a young girl who had died. ...
TNN ONLINE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY NOW AVAILABLE! ACTS 18:1-6 What has been commonly labeled the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, is actually a second piece of correspondence written to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 5:9), and is a letter which tends to be quite puzzling for not just Christian readers, but most especially Messianic readers. While 1 Corinthians is hardly a letter that goes unappreciated, being able to sort through the divisions, sectarianism, and inappropriate actions of the different groups among the First Century Corinthian Believers, is something that can catch many completely off guard. Not enough, in looking through 1 Corinthians, are aware that they are engaged in reading one side of a two-sided conversation, between the Apostle Paul and a group of people who widely, and in some cases desperately, needed discipline and help. Between the letters of 1 and 2 Corinthians, more was written from the Apostle Paul to the Corinthian Messiah followers, than any other group in the ...

1500 year-old Bible found in Turkey, Jesus Christ Was Not Crucified, Vatican in shock! Posted: 13 Jan 2015 10:54 PM PST Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara. Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet. The book also calls Apostle Paul “The Impostor”. The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place. A report by The National Turk says that the Bible was seized from a gang of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. The report states the gang was charged with smuggling antiquities, illegal excavations, and the possession of explosives. The books itself is valued as high as 40 Million Turkish Liras (approx. 28 mil. Dollars). Man, where is the Thieves Guild, when you need them? Authenticity Accor ...
Pastor John explains 7 life lessons from the Apostle Paul that are suited for the New Year on his blog:
Do you know why many believers today have a confused perspective of God? What would cause believers to think that God is sometimes angry with them, but at other times pleased with them? Why would some believers think that their heavenly Father would actualy punish them with sicknesses and diseases when it woud be unthinkable for them to inflict such draconian measures on their own children? What accounts for this apparent schizophrenia that exists in the body of Christ today? I submit to you that this confusion stems from what is called "Galatianism." Galatianism is essentially a mixture of covenants. It is the intermingling of teachings about God which contain a little bit of the law as well as a little bit of grace. The church in Galatia was struggling with this, and from the severity of Apostle Paul's tone to the Galatians, it is obvious that Paul regarded this issue very seriously. You will never find Paul saying to the believers in the church of Corinth, "O foolish Corinthians!" Yet, we know that the ...

Today we had blessed Church service in our Church in Nepal. We read Psalm 144 at the time of praise and worship and we praised the name of our rock. And I have preached the sermon from the Book of the Acts Chapter 24-25. Today the Lord spoke in my heart from these words of God to be continuing in God's business. It was a great privilege to King David and Apostle Paul and now by the grace of the Lord I also got this opportunity to be in the ministry of the Lord God almighty. Praise the Lord. We are nearing the end of our race to release our film in theaters, and we couldn't be more excited about it. Hope to see you there! Be an Example 1 Timothy 4:12-16 Probably most of us can identify more closely with the person and ministry of Timothy than with that of the stalwart apostle Paul. The Lord entrusted young Timothy with the responsibility of charging the churches to adhere to sound doctrine and practice. In so doing, he functioned as a Spirit-called pastor. But he still had doubts and concerns about his ability to preform this high and holy calling, as is probably true for every dedicated believer who purposes to live a life that will bring glory to God and be a blessing to others. With this in mind, Paul recognized the need to admonish the Corinthian church to accept Timothy's ministry as authoritative among then in the same manner that they accepted Paul's ministry. They were not to slight Timothy's ministry nor cause him to be afraid while in their midst (1 Cor.16:10-11). Consider how Timothy was divinely enabled to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as one of His disciples indeed (Jn.8:31). Young Timothy was to exemplify ...
QUESTION: What does Romans 11:29 mean? ANSWER: To get a proper understanding of the context of that verse, let’s read Romans 11:25-29, “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” Romans, chapters 9-11 deal mainly with the ‘setting aside’ of the nation of Israel as the favored people of God because of their unbelief. The Lord Jesus lamented the rejection and unbelief of Israel in Matthew 23:37 where He said, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou ...
WHEN confronted with a problem involving the use of the reasoning faculties, individuals of strong intellect keep their poise, and seek to reach a solution by obtaining facts bearing upon the question. Those of immature mentality, on the other hand, when similarly confronted, are overwhelmed. While the former may be qualified to solve the riddle of their own destiny, the latter must be led like a flock of sheep and taught in simple language. They depend almost entirely upon the ministrations of the shepherd. The Apostle Paul said that these little ones must be fed with milk, but that meat is the food of strong men. Thoughtlessness is almost synonymous with childishness, while thoughtfulness is symbolic of maturity. There are, however, but few mature minds in the world; and thus it was that the philosophic-religious doctrines of the pagans were divided to meet the needs of these two fundamental groups of human intellect--one philosophic, the other incapable of appreciating the deeper mysteries of life. Here's an important meditation on Kwanzaa by a black Mormon, Tekulvē Vann. A Celebration of Faith and Culture: A Latter-day Saint Perspective on Kwanzaa I was relatively new to the mission field when my first Christmas box arrived. Packed among the usual missionary favorites were seven gifts that I knew were not to be opened on Christmas Day. Each of the gifts were numbered, and I was more than certain that my sister had been in charge of deciding which gift was to be opened on which day. My missionary companion was confused about the additional gifts that my mother had been sure not to wrap with traditional Christmas wrapping paper. As I explained to him that they were Kwanzaa gifts, he innocently asked about my “Black Christmas” celebration. I had never given Kwanzaa much thought growing up because it was just a part of what happened each year. The local University would host a community-wide Kwanzaa celebration, and we would make plans to attend each year. Here I was, a 19 year old charged with te ...

It’s a Brand New Year! It arrived last Thursday at mid-night, some three days ago if you’re reading this on Sunday, January 4, 2015. For many of us, it seems it took 365 days to learn to write 2014 with consistency – now we need to learn to write the correct year all over again! For most of us, there are things of 2014 we’re glad have ended and we desire to keep them in the past! Likewise, there were some very great blessings in 2014 we wish to treasure for many years to come! Still, the truth is God has given us but one day at a time: and as we count that time, we’re now four days into 2014. Thinking of NEW things might help us in how we value each day of this New Year. Within the past week or so, several “new” items found their way into our possessions. Perhaps it is the giver; perhaps it is the value of the item; perhaps it is some combination of both or more realities: yet it is something NEW and we don’t want the item damaged. We’ll do what we can to keep it safe, clean, maintained, ...
Who is Marcus Marriota? Read this below. High-charged Heisman winner Mariota powered by God Still in his junior year, the Oregon Ducks' Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota appears to be more than ready for the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day against the Florida State Seminoles – gearing up not with just a helmet and shoulder pads, but with the complete armor of God. Perhaps one of the most successful Pac-12 quarterbacks in NCAA history, and becoming the first Oregon Duck and Hawaii-born athlete to win the Heisman, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound quarterback – a staunch Christian – received an astonishing 88.4 percent of first-place votes, accumulating the second-highest percentage of possible points (90.9 percent) in the history of the highly esteemed college football trophy. Winning all but four of the 39 games he's played as a Duck, Mariota's stats continue to fill the record books, as the AP Player of the Year finished first in the NCAA this year in both passer and total quarterback rating, yards per attemp ...
Happy New Year! God is SO GOOD! Check this out. He loves you more than anybody on this earth could possibly love you, that's the truth! It doesn't matter what you have done! The Apostle Paul killed people for believing in Jesus. Look what God did with him. Moses killed someone, look what God did with Him. David killed lots of people and did a lot of other bad things too. Look what God did with him. They all repented and sought after God and He herd there cry. These are all mighty men of God! One year ago today I woke up with a massive hangover smelling like fire. Got up and my whole family was gone, the music was still on. I had ran everbody off after a night of heavy drinking. I felt like I wanted to die. I grabbed my shotgun and just layed in bed with it. Started trying to find a bullet to put in my head. Couldn't find one. I had shot the only bullet I had off the night before when I ran everybody off from the party. My phone was gone, my truck was wrecked and it was just me and my shotgun. After laying ...
Heavenward by Scotty Smith A Prayer for the New Year 01 Jan 2015 This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!“ Jer. 9:23-24 (NLT) Dear heavenly Father, on this New Year’s Day, thank you for the gift of a New Year. But first of all, thank you for all the grace you lavished on us in the past year. You remained faithful even when we were faithless; you gave us daily mercies, and we needed your mercy on a daily basis; you delighted in us when we tried to find our delight in anything else but you. Your love is irrepressible, inexhaustible, and inexplicable, apart from hat Jesus has done for us. And now, in response to the words you spoke through J ...
"Here is a good resolution for the New Year, given by the Apostle Paul. "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." (Philippians 2:14-15) Rather than using FB this year to "vent" and complain thereby dimming your light for Christ, immediately go to your prayer closet and get the Holy Spirit involved so that rather than complaining to everyone you can instead be praising God for what He has brought you through!!" -- Darren McClerren
likes olives? DELICIOUS OLIVES and BIBLE FACTS: The olive tree is native to the Mediterranean Sea region where it has been cultivated since ancient times. Growing to heights ranging from 10 to 40 feet / 3 to 12 meters, the fruit was used as food and as a source of lamp oil. A dove from the ark brought an olive leaf to Noah after The Flood (Genesis 8:11). Olive oil was used to fuel the Menorah in The Tabernacle In The Wilderness (Leviticus 24:1-2), and later in the Temple (see Temples) in Jerusalem. When the Israelites entered The Promised Land upon completion of their 40-year Wilderness Journey after the Exodus, there were established olive groves awaiting them (Deuteronomy 6:11). Yeshua was arrested on The Mount Of Olives that Fateful Night, and He ascended into Heaven from there after His Resurrection from The Tomb. The apostle Paul (see On The Road To Damascus) used the pruning and grafting of olive trees as analogies for the rejection of Israelites who reject Him, and of the acceptance of Gentiles int ...
ACTIVATION If I had to pinpoint one word that I believe God is speaking over 2015 I would say ACTIVATION. It is the word that comes up in my spirit when I pray over my nation, city, home church, ministry partners, family, and my own life - ACTIVATION. Many of us have experienced transition and repositioning in these past few years. There have been new jobs, new homes, new relationships, new ministries, and new business ventures. There has also been much releasing or laying down of many of the same types of things – and for some it has been a painful transition. God has been positioning and repositioning His people into the places of maximum impact for His purposes in our lives. He did what was necessary to have us positioned where He wanted us – ready for what He had planned, ready for activation. Some of us already know the reasons and others are still seeking and asking “why”? In either case, God has been at work and if you’ve been listening and have allowed God to position you correctly, thi ...

I am freshly impressed and humbled by the standard of love and care shown by the apostle Paul and his companions towards the new Christians in Thessalonica. How loving, sweet, tender, pure and self-sacrificing they were - as gentle as a nursing mother and as caring as a comforting and exhorting father. "But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God. You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory." ( 1 . ...
Ray Lundy, a dear friend and high school classmate, penned this and I wanted to share: CONTENTMENT By Ray Lundy The Apostle Paul said it best: “I have learned, in whatever state I am in, therewith to be content,” Phil. 4:11. I often wonder if Paul had read the works of the Roman statesman, Lucius Annaeus Seneca, Seneca the Younger. Seneca also wrote a similar phrase: “A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it be.” Of course, Seneca had read the writings of a Greek slave named Aesop, who dispensed wisdom and truth in little stories called fables, and the little fables used animals to dispense truths. Aesop inserted his truth in this quote: “Be content with your lot; one cannot be first in everything.” Other philosophers through the centuries had said similar things, but the truth of the matter is the same: Learn to live in whatever state you are in, and be content with it. Surely, one can change his status in life with smarts and hard work, but still one must not always be striving a ...
Mid-Week Devotion Happy New Year Parish Family and Friends Okay - so last week's musing was not my last Mid-Week Devotion... this week's is :-) “It always is harder to be left behind than to be the one to go...” (Brock Thoene, Shiloh Autumn) Human life is, among many other aspects, a journey of greetings and farewells. More than 130 million babies were greeted as they began life this year; around 56 million lives were bid goodbye. Add to that new friends moving in, neighbors relocating, co-workers changing jobs... pastors moving on, and life is filled with the joy and grief of life's transitions. “I don't know how you say good-bye to whom and what you love. I don't know a painless way to do it, don't know the words to capture a heart so full and a longing so intense.” (Laura Wiess, How It Ends) Grief and joy are markers along the way that inform the sojourner that the path of Love has been traversed. Where Love is, the fragrance of joy and grief will blossom. Now, to be frank, I very much prefer j ...
"In Christ we are a new creation!" Great words from Paul the apostle as we begin a New Year in Christ's hands.
New Year Resolution: May we be found faithful to the Lord Christ; fruitful in our walk & witness. My prayer is that of the Apostle Paul--"...this one thing I do, forgetting those things that are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before (ahead of us), I press toward the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Phil.3:13b-14). Let's learn from the past; forgive those who've failed us & seek forgiveness from those we've failed; and let us go forward together for the glory of our Great God & the furtherance of the Kingdom. Happy & Blessed New Year, my dear friends.
The apostle Paul said it well also when he said I do the things I shouldn't do and don't do the things I should.

TWO ESSENTIAL DUTIES FOR BEARING MUCH FRUIT — Jesus once said he wanted all believers to “bear much fruit” (Jn 14:8) The “fruit” he had in mind is essentially to express attitudes and actions that accord with the Spirit who lives within every believer. Now perhaps you judge yourself pretty barren, stuck on an ever-inclining treadmill of cynicism about the Christian life. You doubt you will ever progress to the point of having “much fruit.” At the start of the New Year, I wish to remind you of a key part of fruitfulness. Bearing spiritual fruit is something like farming. When a farmer sets out to raise a crop he knows certain things are beyond his power. Only God can provide sun and rain. The Lord secretly determines which seeds germinate and then causes them to blossom and ripen. On the other hand, God has empowered the farmer to use certain means. He also holds the farmer accountable to use them in faith. Harvest hinges as much on the farmer's tilling and sowing, watering and fertilizing, a ...

IT’S TIME TO CLEAN UP MY LIFE. Another year, another round of resolutions. What will you resolve to do? Maybe your resolution goes deeper than losing weight or saving money. Maybe you’re ready for a life makeover—a fresh start. But is that even possible? Sometimes we make so-called resolutions that are little more than wishful thinking. We might want to change, but until we do something about it, it isn’t a resolution. A true resolution puts our wishes into action. So what can you do? The Bible has a lot to say about wanting to better yourself. The Apostle Paul said in Romans 7:18, “I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.” Why is that? As imperfect people, we’re often attracted to things that aren’t good for us. We have a problem called sin that weakens our souls. That keeps us from doing what we know we should do. Just like someone with a broken leg can’t compete in a race, someone with a broken soul can’t live the right way. Sometimes we start goin ...
Ten Days of Prayer and then, “Pentecostal Fire” Our Leaders Use To Pray To One God The Heavenly Father is ready to pour out His fire upon hungry saints that have no other source on which they are depending. Everybody needs to watch or listen to this Telecast or Broadcast ! Prayer, communion with the Heavenly Father, is surely one of the grandest privileges of His Saints. I thought to use the term “Royal Telephone,” but as I searched for the right words, it sounded too cheap. Instead of “Royal Telephone,” let’s use the term “Royal Conversation.” We are desperate to rediscover the “God-ordained” necessity of Holy Ghost-filled praying. Royal conversation is the one “all engaging” power that moves God on behalf of His kingdom. And if prayer is to move God, it must be “all engaging” and our only source of power. If there is anything else we are depending upon, whether it is secondary or insignificant beside prayer, then prayer is of no avail. When the church is cleansed of depende ...

The Holy Ghost Is A Consuming Fire (You Must Watch Or Hear This Sanctuary Sermon) The Gifts Of The Spirit The person of the Holy Ghost is the Fire of God. Nothing is more absolute in God’s Church and His Sanctuary than the Fire Of Holy Ghost anointing. A Church full of the Holy Ghost Fire will transform anyone that enters the doors or they will flee in resistance. There is no possibility of an experience in which the believer is made a vibrant Christian disciple without the literal ministry of this Divine Person. He is the Fire of God with which the Lord God told John the Baptist that Jesus would baptize His Believers. “He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” (Matthew 3:11c) That is too plain of a truth for the church world to deny. What Is Holy Ghost Fire? Something Supernatural!!! · Rich spiritual life and joy · Divine healing in the mortal body · Happiness in worshipping the Lord · Anointed preaching that brings a shout · Passionate love for the Holy Bible · Singing and sho ...
8 Keys to Knowing God’s Will For Your Life!!! by Chris Russell When I was a young man, I seemed to continually wrestle with knowing God’s will for my life. I wanted more than anything to follow His plan. Interestingly, now that I’m “old” (currently 47 years old), I still wrestle with doing His will in my life. I have come to learn that this is not just something that a young person does early in life; it is a lifelong pursuit in order to stay in the exact center of His plan. So, then, how can we know God’s plan for our lives? Over the past twenty-five years that I have been in ministry, I have discovered eight vital keys to knowing God’s will. Here they are: 1) Walk with God. For starters, if you are interested in knowing God’s plan for your life, then you must learn to walk with God. You need to develop a relationship with Him. Christianity is all about relationship rather than just religion. And so you must cultivate your relationship with God. You must seek to know Him and not just seek ...
TOPIC: BUT GODLY SORROW LEADS TO REPENTANCE. -WHAT THE HOLY SCRIPTURES SAY ABOUT THIS MATTER- “For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were for a season. Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance: for you were made sorry after a godly manner: that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter….2ND CORINTHIANS 7:11. -THE MESSAGE- It is imperative that when the truth is revealed in every contentious matter, especially in matters pertaining and affecting a number of individuals, ...

"Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk---not as unwise people but as wise---making the most of the time, because the days are evil." - Ephesians 5: 15-16 Well, it's New YearS EVE!!! CAN IT BE? WHERE HAS THIS YEAR GONE? As hard as it is to believe, 2014 is just about over with. So, if there is something that we need to get done this year, we had better get to it!!! Many of us today are finding ourselves thinking, "Where has the time gone?" You know, we probably do not always think about it, but TIME IS A GIFT FROM GOD!!! In our scripture verses for today, the Apostle Paul teaches us that we should MAKE THE MOST OF OUR TIME!!! While we may know that we should use our time wisely, we also know that, sadly, we do not always do this. As we look back on this year that is swiftly coming to an end, perhaps we can recall days where we are guilty of wasting time. The thing about time is, ONCE IT'S GONE, IT'S GONE!!! We can never get it back, so we had better use every moment of the time we have b ...

BIGOTS BEWARE: This is for all those so called Christians who have vowed not to vote for Buhari because he is a muslim and a northerner. By Arinola BA - I don't believe that it is possible for a Spirit-filled child of God to be a tribalist or a racist. If you claim to be born-again and you are a tribalist or a racist, then your salvation is not genuine. Repent today so that the bitterness and hatred in your heart will not lead you to *** The more I look around, the more I thank God that Apostle Paul was not like many of the believers of this generation. If he were like them, I don't think we would have the New Testament letters today. He was very keen on getting the gospel to the gentiles even though he was a Jew. Repent today. Hating or disliking a person because he is black, white, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Asian, Christian, or Muslim is not of God. Don't take the hatred in your heart with you into 2015. Remember that the Apostle John told us that a person who hates his brother is no different from a murd .. ...

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE... Jun Orbita GIVE TIME FOR GOD... LET'S DEEPEN OUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE TRUE GOSPEL... KNOW THE WAYS OF GOD... WHAT IS THE GOSPEL AND HOW IS THE GOSPEL PREACHED BY THE MEMBERS AND MESSENGERS OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST? Speaking of the Gospel, it is the power of God to save as Apostle Paul wrote. " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17) PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT IN CHRISTIANITY, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO PERVERT THE GOSPEL AND THIS IS THE WORK OF THE DEVIL. BUT BY IDENTIFYING THE TRUE MESSAGE, WE CAN SEE ALSO HOW THE DEVIL MANEUVERS HIS SCHEME TO DECEIVE US. The One True Church by Pastor Cornelius R. Stam Religious people — even sincere Christian people — may divide themselves into various denominations or churches, but there is no indication in the Bible that God recognizes these divisions. Indeed, God makes it abundantly clear that in His sight there is but one Church, composed of all who truly trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. In I Cor. 12:12,13 the Apostle Paul declares by divine inspiration: “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ: “FOR BY ONE SPIRIT ARE WE ALL BAPTIZED INTO ONE BODY….” Again, in Rom. 12:5, he says: “SO WE, BEING MANY, ARE ONE BODY IN CHRIST, AND EVERY ONE MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER.” Indeed, it is on the basis of the fact that there is but “one body” in God’s sight that He exhorts us to seek to “keep the unity of the Spirit”: “ENDEAVORING TO KEEP THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT IN THE BOND OF PEACE. “THERE IS ONE BOD ...
12/05/2014 CHRIST in You Max Lucado Proliferating throughout Scripture is an enticing and inviting preposition —the preposition “in.” JESUS lives in HIS children. From Revelation 3:20, JESUS says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears MY voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with ME.” GOD in us! Have we sounded the depth of this promise? With GOD in you, you have a million resources you didn't have before. Can’t stop worrying? CHRIST can. And HE lives within you. Can’t forget the past, forgive the jerk, or forsake your bad habits? CHRIST can! And HE lives in you. Oh to be so full of HIM that we could say with the apostle Paul, “It is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me!”
Thats what Apostle Paul did not like these so called Grace preacher today
Change Your Routine The greatest trouble with most of us is that our demands upon ourselves are so feeble, the call upon the great within us so weak and intermittent that it makes no impression upon the creative energies; it lacks the force that transmutes desires into realities. - Orison Swett Marden For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. – Romans 7:15 NKJV The apostle Paul asked, “What am I doing? Why can’t I stop doing it?” Sometimes we can change what we do by making better choices. But the things that are really difficult to change are those well-developed habits we do without thinking. We need an extreme makeover to force us to consciously retrain so we can accomplish what we plan to do. How do we break bad habits? The very fact that a method or activity is a habit means we’re not consciously aware of doing it. Repetition has programmed us to perform a behavioural response subconsciously. But we can develop a ne ...
I've read several versions of New Testament as adult. John's pseudo-gospel is an abomenation. Your apostle Paul is perverted.
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 -- Apostle Paul
The book of First Timothy, Chapter 2, begins with some very specific instructions from the Apostle Paul. As Believers, we can also take these instructions to be for us. Verses 1-2 say, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” God wants us to pray for those in authority because our prayers can play a role in shaping the decisions, policies, and activities of the people who rule our lands. I don’t know about you, but as a Christian I want to see the hand of God move in our nation. I often say that every failure is a prayer failure. I challenge Christians everywhere to pray and fast for nations and it, leaders God can still work through them to achieve His ultimate purposes when we pray and intercede for them. Let’s pray for God to get involved with the decisions they are going to make so that our nat ...
Luke 1:26-38 God sent the angel Gabriel to … a virgin pledged to be married. Luke 1:26-27 It is strange enough that God includes finite human beings—mere creatures—in his magnificent plan to redeem the world. But he often makes a point of using people who are weak and insignificant rather than powerful and influential! I probably would have enlisted the resources of the Roman Caesar Augustus. But no. God bypasses the power structures of the day and goes to a nothing town in Galilee. He calls on a young virgin and her insignificant fianc?. What is God thinking? God is thinking the same thing that was on his mind when he inspired David to battle Goliath; when he arranged for a Jewish girl named Hadassah (Esther) to win a Persian beauty contest; when he called lowly fishermen to be disciples and then leaders of his church. When great good triumphs through weak and insignificant people, it’s easy to see that the humans aren’t the ones behind it. God is! Years later the apostle Paul would write to th ...
So much more is revealed personally about the amazing Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians than in any of his other writings. Wednesday night at church during fellowship the subject came up about who we most want to spend eternity with. Naturally, the most popular answer was Jesus. Of course, Heaven won't feel like Home to me until I meet my Savior and my Judge face to face and get a big hug from Him telling me I passed the test. But I figure Jesus will be so busy with all the other saints, and I've always felt such a connection to Paul, that I have this burning desire in my soul to spend eternity talking with him, There are so many personality traits and talents we share, I see a common mindset in so many ways, and there are qualities about him that I deeply admire, and some I recognize in myself. From I Corinthians alone I get that Paul is warm and encouraging, a peacemaker, a stumbling block to Jews, (I certainly tried my best to get the Greenberg kids to see my Jesus viewpoints.) f ...
Good Morning my Beautiful Sunshines! Happy and Blessed Friday to you all! Jesus is The Light of the world, we need to make sure we follow The Light that will guide us to see what’s ahead of us. Both Physically and Spiritually. Our Spiritual Food for Today, comes from Colossians 1:9-10 ESV: And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. The Apostle Paul and his team lets the church of Colossae know they having been praying without ceasing, for them. For their increased spiritual wisdom and understanding. Which will lead them/us to walk in a manner that is worthy and pleasing to God. He will say, “That’s my daughter, or that’s my son! They trust Me to be their God. And I will never take my hands off of them. Look at how they rep ...
BIBLE TEACHING ON WATER BAPTISM “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19 Water baptism is a command of Jesus Christ to His disciples; this is what you every child of God should do as long they live after salvation. Water baptism is a symbolic burial, by which the new Christian publicly declares they have died, and are now beginning a new life, in Christ. Baptize is the English form of a Greek word which means to immerse: to place something into something else. In Christian water baptism, the believer is put completely under water, then immediately raised out of the water. Water baptism is a statement of faith: my old life is behind me -- I am a new person, with a new life. Water baptism is a sign of repentance -- repentance means change -- a change so drastic that the old person is "buried." It does not make you acceptable to God. As a work of righteousness, trying to obtain a good standing with G ...
Except for Josephus, Pilate, Gamaliel, Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, and more who we have evidence DID exist. So all liars?
Thoughts on the Grace of God, Faith and Salvation... Throughout the book of Acts, we see the Holy Spirit being given (Spirit baptism) both before, and after, water baptism. Neither of these has a particular precedence of order in the Christian faith, but both are the response of obedient faith (for by grace are we saved through faith). They are each intended for the Christian to experience as a result of their faith in Christ. Here are a couple of things to consider regarding this: 1) In John 3, Jesus expressed to Nicodemus that salvation comes through being "born again", and he further defined this new birth as being born a) "of water" and b) "of Spirit". Jesus said that it is impossible to enter, or even see heaven without this new birth. We begin to see by this account that salvation has several aspects to it... Belief (John 3:16), Water Baptism (John 3:5) and Spirit Baptism (also John 3:5). These aren't spoken of in an order of precedence, however we can reason that belief, or faith, must precede anyt ...
THE 7 VIRTUES OF A GODLY HUSBAND Woman you must start Praying Sincerely & Honestly for God’s right time – If you want a Godly Husband in your Life then Your heart should be so lost in God that a man will start to seek God in order to find you. Keep Praying and Your Prince Charming will arrive in God’s Perfect Time. 1: Selflessness – Men, in general, tend to be selfish and it is one of the reasons that marriages are failing in greater numbers. A Godly husband is selfless, like Jesus. He never focused attention onto himself, but rather always on the Father and then His bride (the church). A Godly husband will follow that example by focusing his attention on God first and then his wife. Jesus taught husbands how to be servant leaders and that is what every marriage needs. Let us learn from Jesus, as He would first go to the Father for instructions and then focus on the needs of the people. As I started going to God every morning for instructions, He would help me to see how I could serve my wife ever ...
"Every Part of You" Offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. ROMANS 6:13 I desire that you be completely Mine. Can you offer Me: Your passion for pleasure Your longings for love Your drive for success Your desire to be noticed Your every desperate thought? Don't worry that I will waste or mistreat what you offer Me. I will use it for My purposes, and you will experience the kind of joy that comes from being wholly Mine. The apostle Paul referred to this as offering your bodies as a living sacrifice and he equated it to "your true and proper worship" (Romans12:1). "Do not conform to the pattern of this of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2). That's how I work through you -- when I transform and renew your mind. Lord, I want to be completely Yours for whatever You have in mind. Take all of me-- my thoughts, desires, attitudes, and longings. By: Cinidi McMenamin
How an Audience Becomes a Congregation We’ve got to become pastors if we want our people to become congregations. —William Willimon The first Christmas I was at Duke, during the time I was not preaching regularly, my wife and I attended a local church. That year Christmas fell on a Sunday. Our son was 2 years old, so we dressed him up in his spanking new Christmas clothes and headed jubilantly off to church. We looked forward to the service with anticipation. But when the pastor stood up to welcome the congregation, he said, “Today is the first time in a while that Christmas has fallen on Sunday. It would have been unfair to ask the choir to sing this morning, this being a big family day and all, so they won’t be singing. “I’m not really going to preach this morning either. Instead, I’ve got a little story to share with you. You know, I’m amazed you’re here this morning. Most of you have guests from out of town. Coming today was such an inconvenience.” “I’m leaving,” my wife whis ...
On a Christian pilgrimage? Don't miss Mdina, the city where Apostle St. Paul lived.. more:
At the parousia, the second coming of Christ, those who died in Christ and the living believers will be given the final and full “redemption of our body” (Romans 8:23). That body will be prepared for and suited to the final state of the Christian believer (1 Cor. 15:23, 26, 54). “When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:4). The apostle Paul tells us that we shall be included in the radiance of the coming glory, which will put into perspective the present sufferings we experience. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us” (Romans 8:18).
Got to visit the ancient city on Perga, which the Apostle Paul visited on one of his journeys in Acts.…
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY Friday December 5 My friend’s eyes revealed what I was feeling— fear! We two 13-year-olds had behaved poorly and were now cowering before the camp director. The man, who knew our dads well, raised the decibels as he shouted, “You, the son of *** Thomas, and you, the son of Ray Felten, how could you have done this?” Needless to say, we wanted to crawl under the table—feeling the weight of personal responsibility for our offense, and having remorse over the shame we had brought to our fathers. God gave Zephaniah a message for the people of Judah that contained some potent words about personal responsibility for sin (Zephaniah 1:1,6-7). After spending chapter 2 describing the judgments He would bring against Judah’s foes, He turned His eyes squarely on His squirming people in chapter 3. “What sorrow awaits rebellious, polluted Jerusalem!” God proclaimed (3:1). “[The people] get up early to continue their evil deeds” (v.7). He had seen the cold hearts of His people ...
Spending a little more time each day in the study as my recovery continues. I had a really good day yesterday, actually able to work on some church material for a while. I was able to spend all day up reading, studying and just being awake. I even made a couple of HF Radio contacts. Yesterday’s activities however have consequences today. My mental process is just a little fuzzy today and I am not very comfortable sitting anywhere today. The Doctors said it would be like this and they have been very accurate all through this process. I begged Linda to take me up the church today so I could grab the video files from the last three weeks so when the mental fog clears I may be able to edit some video and get it posted on our web site. Our elders have been doing a great job teaching and preaching and I want to make sure everyone gets to share in their teaching. But a 20 minute trip to the church was enough to force me to rest for a while. Videos will be posted, eventually. God continues to bless us as we nav ...
Let’s pray. Heavenly father we want to thank you, we bless your holy name for this morning. We thank you for grace to be in your presence. Lord I am asking for a fresh unction to be able to deliver your message to your Church. I pray that your people will receive understanding. I pray that your name will be glorified. I hand over to you, Holy Spirit. In Jesus name we have prayed, Amen. Praise the Lord! My name is Bosun Emmanuel. A little bit about myself and the ministry. I didn't tell Pastor (the Pastor of where this message was recorded), I didn't want to tell him that I was ordained in the Redeem Christian Church Of God (RCCG) as an Assistant Pastor; as a Full Pastor; and that I was the National Coordinator of Redeem Christian Church of God in Germany for many years. The Lord sent us packing from Germany in 2006 and told me to go back home, of course you wouldn't want to return to Nigeria if you were living in Germany, you know what I mean. And when we asked, what are supposed to do in Nigeria? There ...
I have found that God always has far more to give me than i can even ask or think as apostle paul said now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think ,acording to the power that works in us to Him be glory in the church of Krest Jesus to all generations for ever and ever ephesians 3:2o-21 so if God wants to give u more than you are asking would you rather have what you are asking or what God wants to give ?only the spirit of God knws what God is doing or purposing in your lyf.so let God give you all that He wants to give you.For the spirit searches all things even the deep thing of God.
THIS IS RARELY A BIG TOPIC IN DECEMBER— NOT EVEN IN CHURCH MEETINGS! NEVERTHELESS, JESUS was tempted in all points as we— yet, He did not sin! On the cross, Jesus paid the sinner’s sin debt so as to be the sinner’s sin bearer, the sinner’s substitute, and the sinner’s Saviour! Thus, the redeemed sinner is SAVED FROM sin’s penalty, sin’s dominating power, and one day even from the possibility of sinning! PRAISE GOD— JESUS GETS RID OF SIN! BEWARE: Popular preachers are denying, minimizing, and/or hiding the problem of sin! Larry King: "You don't call them (those to whom he preaches) sinners?" Joel Osteen: "I don't." Larry King: "Is that a word you don't use?" Joel Osteen: "I don't use it. I never thought about it. But I probably don't… I don't go down the road of condemning." (Joel Osteen, "Larry King live," Aired June 20, 2005) CONTRAST: "And she [Mary] shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call His name JESUS, for He shall save His people from their SIN." (Matthew 1:21) "And ye know . ...
Your past has nothing to do with your future if you know how to handle it. Be like Apostle Paul, forget d ugly past. Face tomorrow rejoicing
I was thinking/praying in bed last night about what the Bible calls "the old landmarks." Those times God moved on my behalf, changing me forever in the process; about how I've seen His hand in so many of the experiences during my life and in the lives of my children and those around me. I believe His word about the sufferings and trials of life bringing forth more fruit ~sweeter fruit, in reality, than in the easy times or times of prosperity and blessings. I see this in my own life. It makes me wonder if, at times, I've become so hurt in my flesh that I "protected myself" by becoming indifferent, hardened, bitter or using a wall of anger so that it takes catastrophic things to "shake " me out of a spiritual sleep. Surely I wouldn't be so foolish~but I find that I am. I find myself in a new place that I didn't expect; in a situation I didn't think would happen for several years to come~ a crossroads of sorts that causes me to step back and look anew at my relationship with God; at how much I REALLY trust ...
Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Theme: Self-Denial Good morning my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. It is so great to greet all of you on this Lord's Friday. Apostle Paul informs Titus that we must continue to preach and teach the Word of truth that bringeth salvation unto all men by the grace of God. We must learn to deny ourselves and cling unto every word of God in this present world. Our faith shall be tried, but the trial of our faith worketh patience which is thereby made perfect if we shall stand still and wait on the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must not hearken unto Jewish (worldly) fables and soothsayers, but we must study to shew thyself approved unto God. Self-Denial We must walk by faith and not by ...

Christian Conduct How can a Christian know what he may or may not do? Is it all right for a believer to go to dances or to the theatre, to play cards, to smoke, to drink or to participate in other worldly pleasures and amusements? Many young converts are troubled by questions similar to the above. They find that certain practices are clearly condemned in the Bible, but that there are many others which are not mentioned. It is the purpose of this lesson to provide the student with a series of standards which may help him to decide whether or not he should engage in a questionable activity. 1. First of all, is it distinctly forbidden by the Lord for believers today? If it is, avoid it as you would a deadly plague. If you do not know, don't do it until you have had a chance to find out. Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 2. Then, is there any glory for God in it? In I Corinthians 10:31, we read this plain statement: "Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." Before you engage in t ...
Hello Fb families & Friends alike. What a B-E-A-UTIFUL Day here in the Tampa Bay Area. Lord, I Thank You. Here's to We the People. "Losing Our Way". The apostle Paul warned that love of money and the desire to get rich had cause some to lose their way. They had yield to temptations and embraced many "foolish and harmful desires" ( 1 Tim. 6:9 ).Father, it's easy to see the problem that others ( Bill Cosby and his Victims ) have with loving money. But I know I (we) have our own struggles too. I need Your help to learn faithfulness for all that You have given. Grow in me an attitude of contentment in You and not man. We all know to love money is to lose sight of the Source of life. As always, I Do Love me some all of You. God bless and enjoy your weekend. Go Bucs. ;)

We really need your prayer and financial support! Alive Again Ministries, Inc., is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization. (Donations are tax deductible). November 11, 2014 The last two months have been a very fruitful time for us at Alive Again Ministries, Inc. We continued at two additional venues in South Florida (Key Largo and Homestead). We received a report of two groups now meeting at Rey de Reyes Presbyterian Church in Guadalajara, Mexico. we had a little health problem. I was getting the oil changed in our car when suddenly I lost the ability to talk. Praise the Lord, my brain “re-booted” in about an hour, but I was in the hospital for three days of testing. It was discovered that I have a tiny hole in my heart, which allowed a microscopic flack to be pumped to my brain, and voila I experienced a mini-stroke. Thankfully, I am well now, and we were able to take a short vacation to visit family. We went to AL, TN, FL, and GA. Here we are in East TN. The goal o f Alive Again Ministries is to help br ...

Theology from A Bunch of Dead Guys™ The Hall of Church History "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6:16). FRIEND who noticed my reading habits asked, "Why would anyone want to study theology by reading A Bunch of Dead Guys? Shouldn't you focus mostly on current works, or risk becoming an irrelevant theological fossil?" My answer: the truth about God is timeless. The last infallible book of theology was written nearly two thousand years ago. In theology, if it's new, it probably isn't true. The best of the men featured here knew that. Though they are dead, they still speak (cf. Heb. 11:4). Scripture was their supreme rule of faith. Their theological line of descent is clearly traceable from the Reformers, to Augustine, to the Apostle Paul, to Isaiah, to Abraham—all the way back to the first promise God made to Adam in the Garden (Gen. 3:15). The entrance is at the top ce ...
I CAN'T...CAN YOU? When I was living life within my foolish ways I was lead to believe I could, only to discover that I couldn't.Those who refuse to humble themselves will be humbled. I'm a living witness. That's why I speak with conviction about having a relationship with God, because I know how it feels to Live life without him. It's sad, it's lonely, it's confusing, it's difficult, depressing, it's dark. However, just like the apostle Paul, I had my "Damascus road experience" that exposed me to the Light(Jesus) that changed my Life Forever. I don't need confirmation I know God is real and can't live life without him. To God be all the glory. If you've been there say y'all ~Mr.Ambition
The first Christian belief that created, "Struggling," in my life: 1. God is sovereign over the earth; therefore, this belief, demanded my praying and asking God for his help. And, when a prayer went unanswered, my Christian friends said, "Chuck, God always answers your prayers, with a yes, no, or later." That comforting answer caused a self analysis, and according to Christian beliefs, I was not praying enough, reading the Bible enough, tithing enough, or perhaps, I was guilty of the "Sin of Omission." My Christian friends were largely "Baptist," and reminded me there are "Sins of Commission and Sins of Omission," and God would forgive me, if I could figure out, exactly what "Sin" I had committed. Their comfort continued, as they reminded me, "If there is iniquity in your life, God cannot answer any prayer." This made me wonder if I had a "Religious or Spiritual Lobotomy," but later, after abandoning my Christian identity, I understood, that when facts are lies, and lies become facts, is called, "Cogn .. ...
Unequally Yoked Tonight may find some of you in one of these painful predicaments...tempted to enter into a relationship which the Bible describes as being "unequally yoked" or concerned for a friend or loved one in that situation. The partnership between a Christian and a nonbeliever is one which the Apostle Paul strongly warns against (II Corinthians 6:14)! Yet, thousands of Christians are lying awake tonight tormented either by a budding love for a nonbeliever, or a nonbeliever's love for them! The hunger for contact, companionship or a relationship can plague so heavily that God's perspective can be lost. As one girl said, "All my Christian friends say not to get involved with Henry, but I can't let him go...he's kind and successful, and loves me, so why not?" It's not possible to list all the reasons "why not?" but there are two keys to overcoming, or helping another overcome, this type of temptation...obedience and trust. Tonight, let the Holy Spirit lead you into a new dimension of obedience, wheth ...
"An Apple Does Not Fall Far From A Tree".Sir Isaac Newton was a Scientist that was born on December 25, 1642. A great physicist, and mathematician; who is said to have 'discovered' the Law of Gravity. Gravity is the force that attracts a body down, to the center of the earth. The higher the object, the faster, and harder the object falls. Perhaps Eve even noticed this as she watched a tree, with fruit that was forbidden; fruit that wasn't hers to have. I can imagine her noticing that when the fruit fell, it didn't fall far from the origin, the source it grew from. She had to get close to the tree, to get to the forbidden fruit. Adam, no doubt; recognized the danger and lure of 'falling' apples, because it most likely was him that added the clause that Eve told the Devil that God said. She said '.no, we must not TOUCH it'., God said 'don't eat', but evidently Eve must've showed some illicit interest in this 'certain' tree. She could eat of all the other trees, but it's always what we shouldn't have, that . ...

HPC Daily Devotional Rise and Shine KEY VERSES: Ephesians 5:10-14 10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. 12 It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. 13 But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, 14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” You know that feeling when you’re dead asleep and somebody suddenly flips on the light switch or opens the curtains? At first the light takes you back, and it takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust. Your initial reaction is to keep your eyes closed to block off this sudden rush of light. But eventually it becomes comfortable and normal for your eyes to take in so much light. Here the Apostle Paul compares our moment of salvation to waking up from a deep (dead-like) slumber. In the same way that our eyes adjus ...

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. ...He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again (2 Corinthians 5:15). There’s no better time to reflect on the vicarious sacrifice of Christ, than Christmas time. In the midst of all the celebrations and joyful preparations, take some time to think of the purpose of His birth, life, death, and resurrection. He’s given us such an extraordinary life of glory and righteousness, not just so we could enjoy it and keep it to ourselves, but so we could bring others into this life, even when it isn't convenient to do so. You have to stick out your neck for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul was persecuted more than the other apostles, because of His convictions about the Gospel. When he went to Jerusalem to visit, the other apostles called him aside and told him how so many Jews had become believer ...

What's special about these men that they keep giving away their riches but still have much? What's the secret? Apostle Paul has something amazing to share with us. He says "And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." (2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT) God generously gives us abundantly so that we can generously give to others. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV) The gospel is faithful and is worthy of accepting! When I couldn't live by the law...the law exposed my SIN...I was helpless, blind, and dead in my sins! But over 2,000 years ago...Christ came to save the world of its sins...HE NAILED THEM TO THE CROSS...HE NAILED MINE AND YOURS! He provided a way of LIVING that only prospers by the cross..All you have to do is accept his gospel...That Jesus came into the world, born of a virgin Mary, died on a cross for the sins of the world and on the 3rd day mourning rose from the grave. Believe it with your heart and confess it with your mouth and you too SHALL BE SAVED! And if you ever feel you done too much wrong and feel you can't be saved...the Apostle Paul said he was "chief of sinners"...HE was the worst of All..and Christ saved him and gave him a powerful ministry in the will of God! www.nsoredevotional.com - 7th November 2014 Friday's Message Title of the Message - DON'T SERVE IN LAZINESS Memory Verse - Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. (Romans 12:11) Message *God sent Moses to go to Egypt to deliver the Israelites from bondage. The main purpose for this is for the Israelites to serve Him in their liberty. This was a shadow of the liberty for service which was to take place in the the new covenant. God has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness into that of His son Jesus in order for us to serve Him. However, in this serve to God some chooses to be slothful or lazy. This is one of the things that breaks the heart of Jesus. Thus, His purpose in today's devotion is to warn us of slothfulness in the kingdom business. *Concerning this subject, Jesus spoke a parable in Matthew 25:14-30- 14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, .. ...

CAESAREA This story begins in Caesarea, a town in Israel located mid-way between Tel Aviv and Haifa on the Israeli coastal plain. The town was built by Herod the Great about 25–13 BCE as the port city Caesarea Maritima. It served as an administrative center of Judaea Province of the Roman Empire. find the Apostle Paul, a prisoner for the Lord, jailed now for almost two years and awaiting transfer by boat to Rome for a hearing before Caesar himself. He has been accused of blasphemy by the leaders of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, but because he is a Roman citizen, he has demanded the right as such to a hearing before Caesar in Rome. What brought him to this point (and his eventual martyrdom in Rome) is a series of events which he could not, and would not, try to escape. Time and again during his last missionary journey to Turkey, Greece and Lebanon, he had been warned numerous times by his friends and followers not to return to Jerusalem where arrest and torture would await him. Sometime during this fin ...
TOPIC: DON'T LET YOUR PAST DICTATE YOUR FUTURE! We can do all things through Christ who strengthen us! We must keep our eyes on Christ and continue to keep moving forward in the Lord! If we continue to look back at past mistakes and loose focus on a new day, another opportunity to change some things because the bible said that if any man be in Christ he is a new creature and the old things are past away and behold all things become new? God is doing a new thing for you and I. And we too must do a new thing. (We all know we must follow Christ and Apostle Paul tells us to let this mind be in us which was also in Christ Jesus!) So let us wise up my brother's and sisters and don't fall victim to what your pass look like because you just might miss out on your future! BUT FOCUS CHILDREN AND FORGET THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEHIND YOU AND FOCUS! KEEP OUR EYES ON THE THINGS BY FAITH WHICH GOD HAS INSTORE FOR US! How is it that relationships, marriages and even entire churches wind up being an absolute train-wreck? How is it that relationships and families in the church wind up having grudges and factions and divisions that remain unresolved for decades? Why are the lives of some--sometimes sadly, even in the church--plagued with drama and anger and bitterness? The apostle Paul answers those questions in Ephesians this Sunday and he wants both the Ephesians and us to know that the litmus test for the authenticity of our salvation is if we have love for other people--even for those whom we would have never chosen for friends. So come this Sunday at 10:00am to the Edge "church plant" for food, worship in song and the apostolic solution for broken relationships. Be sure to invite those looking for a church home or those new to Christianity.
Commentary on Psalm 91 The majority of this psalm is devoted to declaring God as a defender and protector of his people. Several beautiful images are deployed to paint this picture: In verse 2 we read God is a fortress and stronghold. In the psalms, God's safety and security is often described in this way, and can also be linked with singing and worship. For example, in psalm 59 we read: "But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble." (Psalm 59:16, NIV) In verse 4, God is also likened to the protection that a mother bird offers her offspring. The idea of God being like wings of protection is a common image in the scriptures. For example, in psalm 63, such is the psalmists feelings of security he is able to "sing in the shadow of (his) wings" (psalm 63:7) We may also compare this analogy to Christ and his longing to care for Jerusalem, "as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings". However, in this instance this offer was ...

God UNREAL to the Ancients The first created man Adam, taking to himself from the forbidden tree the knowledge of good and evil, was at the same time rejecting God as Creator. It is certain that God had revealed somewhat of himself, a certain knowledge to Adam. Nevertheless Adam had cut himself off from God his Creator. Undoubtedly, some of the knowledge that God had imparted to Adam was successfully imparted from father to son for many generations. Jesus had called Abel, Adam’s second son, “righteous Abel.” He did the right thing in offering a lamb in sacrifice. Later, Enoch “walked with God.” God spoke to Noah and gave him instructions for the building of the ark. After the Flood certain historic accounts imply that Shem, one of Noah’s three sons, had some knowledge of the true God. But undoubtedly, as generation succeeded generation of humanity, knowledge of God had become greatly distorted. Nimrod, as recorded in chapter 4 of this book, made a virtual god of himself. Through the succeeding ...
Why Does God Seem Unreal? In this chapter I hope we will help make God as real to you as your own human father. God does reveal himself to us in the Bible, if we will just understand it, so that he will seem real to us. Of the peoples of the Roman Empire, God inspired the apostle Paul to write: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity [spiritual], has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made [physical]. So they are without excuse; for although they knew [about] God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:18-22, Revised Standard Version). The billions now living on earth not ...
How did the apostle paul have roman citizenship?
Loved the message from Preacher Mike this morning: Good morning friends, Proverbs 16:9 says that a man may have desires in his heart but the Lord directs his steps. Do you remember when the Apostle Paul in Acts 16 had laid out his own plans and thought that he had figured out what “he” wanted to do, and where “he” wanted to go and who “he” wanted to be with, but God the Holy Spirit interrupted His plans and diverted him to the course that had been laid out “for” him? Can you imagine how his flesh fought against those God ordained plans, his disappointment in not being able to realize his dreams, even the confusion it caused those around him? But nonetheless, he obeyed. We must be reminded every day that God has a plan not to hurt us but to prosper us and to bring us to an expected, planned, ordained, Sovereign led conclusion (Jeremiah 29:11). Someone today may be reading this email and you have started down a path of selfish desires. We all have. And if you are really a child of God, the H ...

Friday, November 7 Do you, . . . the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself?—Rom. 2:21. A failed marriage may cast doubt on one’s spiritual state. The apostle Paul raised this serious question: “If indeed any man does not know how to preside over his own household, how will he take care of God’s congregation?” (1 Tim. 3:5) In fact, when both mates profess to be Christians and yet their marriage fails, observers may think that such individuals do not really practice what they preach. (Rom. 2:22-24) When baptized marriage mates are planning to separate or to divorce each other on unscriptural grounds, something surely is spiritually wrong in their life. Scriptural principles are apparently not being applied by one partner or perhaps by both partners. If they were truly ‘trusting in Jehovah with all their heart,’ there would be little reason for believing that they could not avoid a failed marriage.—Prov. 3:5, 6.
What is the apostle Paul is saying here? How many who read the Bible try to relegate the promises it contains into some time slot other than now?

The apostle Paul said, “Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you.” Romans 1:12
Saturday, 8th November THE FAITH ATTITUDE “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13) As a Christian, you must have a different attitude from the rest of the world. It’s the attitude of faith, and that’s the attitude of victory. That’s what the Apostle Paul referred to as the spirit of faith. We have the same spirit as the apostles, and those in the faith’s hall of fame, whose exploits are catalogued for us in the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews. It is by that same spirit of faith that I know I will never be defeated, broke, sick or poor in this life. Come what may, I will shine and walk in victory all the time. Develop this mindset and make a habit of declaring faith-filled words about your life, family, health, job, academics and your finances. Speak prosperity into everything you do in this life by the power of the Holy Ghost. Remember, this was the principle God ...

Peuchen. b) He left $300,000 of his money, jewelry and securities in a box in his cabin. c) He said, “The money seemed a mockery at that time. I picked up three oranges instead.” d) Money is a fickle friend. 5. Having the wrong priorities in our life is like buttoning our coat incorrectly. a) If we get that first button wrong, all the others line up according to that misplaced first one. b) In the same way, when we get the first button right, all the others will line up where they are designed to be. c) This is why the Apostle Paul suggests; fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
«Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ» *** 1, 1)
“The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast” (1 Peter 5:10). There is an unfounded misconception among many Christians that when we come to Christ, our lives will be fine. All the worries and problems that plagued us before we accepted Christ will disappear once we commit our lives to Him. That is far from the truth. In fact, just as a blacksmith uses fire to shape iron, God uses difficulties in our lives to shape us. Usually when God’s revival begins, an opposition arises—a spiritual battle takes place, as the enemy seeks to mount a siege on our hearts. In order to see revival occur in the lives of men and women, we must be willing to stand steadfast in our faith and live uncompromising lives in the face of opposition. During revival, our hearts are cleansed of sin as we come to a point where conviction meets surrender. We become willing to give up things in our lives ...

Dear Daughter, – The Power of Patience and Persuasion Thank you for coming today for the cup of tea. The last two days, I was not able to meet you because I was trying to help you nurture patience. Someone said: ‘Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting. ‘ I trust you have kept a good attitude waiting and not grumbling. Room 2 – NURTURE PATIENCE and PERSUASION as a Lifestyle; and your marriage will be successful. A). PATIENCE My daughter, patience is a virtue that every wife should nurture. It is also a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Any Spiritual fruit matures over time as we obey the Lord and surrender to His will. We all struggle with "waiting on the Lord," even if we know that "good things come to those who wait." But if we do not wait, (1 Samuel 13:8-14) tells us that a "lack of patience" can cause us to miss a blessing. (1 Samuel 13:8-14) {He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Sa . ...
THE HEAVENLY RESURRECTION The Bible also refers to another kind of resurrection, one to life as a spirit creature in heaven. Only one example of this type of resurrection is recorded in the Bible, that of Jesus Christ. After Jesus was put to death as a human, Jehovah did not allow His faithful Son to remain in the grave. (Psalm 16:10; Acts 13:34, 35) God resurrected Jesus, but not as a human. The apostle Peter explains that Christ was “put to death in the flesh, but . . . made alive in the spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18) This truly was a great miracle. Jesus was alive again as a mighty spirit person! (1 Corinthians 15:3-6) Jesus was the first ever to receive this glorious type of resurrection. (John 3:13) But he would not be the last. Knowing that he would soon return to heaven, Jesus told his faithful followers that he would “prepare a place” for them there. ALL THOSE IN THE MEMORIAL TOMBS” The Bible’s resurrection accounts teach us much about the resurrection to come. People who were restored to life right here on earth were reunited with their loved ones. The future resurrection will be similar—but much better. As we learned , God’s purpose is that the whole earth be made into a paradise. So the dead will not be raised to life in a world filled with war, crime, and sickness. They will have an opportunity to live forever on this earth in peaceful and happy conditions. Who will be resurrected? Jesus said that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) Similarly, Revelation 20:13 says: “The sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them.” “Hades” refers to the common grave of mankind. (This collective grave will be emptied. All those billions who rest there will live again. The apostle Paul said: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and ...
Thursday, November 06, 2014 "Jesus Wanted It This Way" – Amid Landmark Days, The Pope on The Bishops Much as the coverage over time has shown a mix of genuine understanding and agenda-induced invention alike, it's no secret that a key storyline of the Rule of Francis is the relationship between the Pope and his bishops... at least, the ones he's inherited. Sure, there's nothing new under the sun – a sense of qualms among some of the Apostles about Peter and his means of wielding the Keys stretches back to the church's very foundations. Still, in recent times, it's very new: for all the talk of Vatican II of late, in reality you'd have to go back to the infallibility debates of Vatican I (1869-70) to find the last time the Catholic world saw such an exposed contrast of thought among its leaders on the papacy. In the current context, however, there is one key difference: the fights over what became Pastor æternus focused on the role of the Petrine office. This time around, the flashpoint is the man who ...
The Chain of Events Leading to Billy Graham’s Conversion As of 2008, Billy Graham’s estimated lifetime audience, including radio and television broadcasts, topped 2.2 billion. That means that approximately 2.2 billion people have heard the gospel from Billy Graham’s mouth. That’s hard to wrap your mind around. Billy Graham has shared the gospel with more people than anyone else in history, but do you know who shared the gospel with him? It actually is a series of events that has been traced over the years and starts out with one volunteer Sunday school teacher. “You can count the apples on the tree, but who can count the apples in a seed?” goes the old aphorism. So it is with the influence of a single person. Take Edward Kimball, for an example. Never heard of him? You’re not unique in that sense. Most people have never heard of him. Kimball was a Sunday school teacher who not only prayed for the often rowdy boys in his class but also sought to win each one to the Lord. If Kimball ever ...
"Best way to avoid divorce, is to never get married" - Paul the Apostle
Jesus lead by example in needing His Disciples, Mary, Martha, and Lazarus to Lean On. When He was told of Lazarus' death, Jesus Wept. In His darkest hour before His betrayal and crucifixion, He called on James, Peter, and John. In the same way, God made us needing to Lean On one another serving the missionfields of our lives with the Gifts He gave us, whether we are a Musicianary, Sunday school teacher, our position at our job, a Parent, a Fan bringing those who do not know Jesus to a concert. Even when chained in dungeons, Apostle Paul communicated and prayed with the other Apostles and the church bodies. Not a one of us can make it on our own, with more and more turmoil on the rise in the world, let's pray for Unity for Christian rock/metal as a ministry and the Body of Christ, for we need one another to Lean On as we go forth taking the Message of Jesus Christ to every tribe, nation, and tongue until He returns.
God knows you're struggling today just like he did when the Apostle Paul prayed and asked "Let this thorn be...

I’m a sinner. The amount of sin I’ve committed today alone would boggle the mind. I’m a wretched, disgraceful, odious (someone get me a thesaurus, please) human being. I don’t say this to brag. I’m simply stating the condition of my soul. Yesterday, I saw a left-hand turn from the right-hand lane, against the light, without a signal. I swore. Profusely. And don’t even get me started on gluttony. I ate an entire box of Wheat Thins this afternoon after I got home from work. And I find that I’m getting less tolerant as I get older. Wednesday evening, I turned off a “Christian” radio station that had been playing some good music because the air personality felt obligated to spew hatred towards *** out of my radio. I don’t need my kids learning to *** bash. In February of this year, the Arizona legislature passed SB 1062, a bill authorizing “Christian” businesses to deny services to *** and *** customers on the basis of “sincerely held religious beliefs.” It was, rightly, vetoe ...
More "Always in love with & guided by Holy Spirit. Giver, intercessor, compassionate, encouraging, a lady. I'm like Apostle Paul."
“SO COME TO THE LORD TODAY KNOWING, IT IS NOT TOO LATE—IT’S HIS IDEA FOR YOU TO BE SAVED! REPENT OF YOUR SIN. SURRENDER YOUR ALL TO HIS OUTRAGEOUS LOVE. ASK TO RECEIVE A FULL OIL LAMP TO BE READY AND SEE TRUTH. YOUR SALVATION CAN BE SURE—EVEN TODAY!” Thank you Jesus Christ for your Grace and The Cross. What must I do to be Saved? Recognize that you need The Lord, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. The greatest question in the Bible is How do you find Christ? The first step in finding Christ is to recognize that you need him, that you are a sinner, that you have violated the principles of truth in the word of God. The Bible say’s in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. I have sinned and you have sinned, and because we have sinned we must have the blood of Jesus Christ cleanse us from all sin. Our morality cannot save us, our goodness cannot save us, and our acts of kindness cannot save us. Repent and Confess your sin and let the Holy Spirit give you a change ...
PRAYER POINTS There are three types of people who were anointed for their specific tasks in the Old Testament. They were kings, priests, and prophets. I believe each believer is to function in these roles, and that we will be blessed and victorious as we do. KINGLY ANOINTING – In the Old Testament, you find that both Saul and David were anointed to function as a kings (1 Samuel). A king was anointed to signify that he had the authority to rule over his kingdom. The Holy Spirit anoints you today with power and authority to rule and reign in this life. We are not to passively submit to defeat and trouble, but to submit to God (trust in His power and pray with violence) and see the enemy flee! (James 4:7; Mt 11:12) The anointing causes us to be victors not victims, winners not whiners, and triumphant over all things. Pray and allow the anointing to be released in you and walk in power and authority. PRIESTLY ANOINTING – The priests in the Old Testament were anointed to minister to the Lord in their vario ...

The Benefits Of Praying In Other Tongues – Pastor Chris "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself..." (1 Corinthians 14:4). Praying in tongues is an effective means of spiritual communication with God. It's a heavenly language that transcends the natural mind or intellect (1 Corinthians 14:14). When you pray in tongues, you're stirred; the anointing wells up like currents within your spirit. That anointing, impacts your physical body and rejuvenates you. It works on your mind, such that you're able to pick up some of the finest signals from the realm of the spirit, and you're transported to the higher realms of glory. The Living Bible tells us that the one who speaks in tongues "helps himself grow spiritually." Which means, for you to experience serious spiritual growth, you must pray in tongues consistently. The Bible says when you pray in other tongues, you're building up yourself like an edifice: "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost ...
I marvel at the miracle of the human mind and body. Have you ever contemplated the wonders of yourself, the eyes with which you see, the ears with which you hear, the voice with which you speak? No camera ever built can compare with the human eye. No method of communication ever devised can compare with the voice and the ear. No pump ever built will run as long or as efficiently as the human heart. No computer or other creation of science can equal the human brain. What a remarkable thing you are. You can think by day and dream by night. You can speak and hear and smell. Look at your finger. The most skillful attempt to reproduce it mechanically has resulted in only a crude approximation. The next time you use your finger, watch it, look at it, and sense the wonder of it. You are a child of God, His crowning creation. After He had formed the earth, separated the darkness from the light, divided the waters, created the plant and animal kingdoms—after all this He created man and then woman. I repeat, I ** ...
