I wish I could write '26 Special reasons to watch Special 26', but I can't. So, lemme start with the bad part. Kajal Aggarwal looks homely and cute, but that's all that she brings to the movie. 2-3 songs play in full length just so you can experience the joy of "pay-to-get-annoyed services". The sets look artificial in a few scenes, which gives the movie a stage_play-feel (in those particular scenes). The good bit... I can't stop raving about how darn good Akshay Kumar looks in pretty much every outfit of his (minus the moustache). The couture (yes... exclusive designer-made clothing) he sports is a little too advanced for the 1980s (the decade the movie is set in), but looks awesome. As for his acting skills, he's as good as ever... and then some. Thank God Akki took a break from utterly-mindless comedies (comedies... really?!?). Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee and Jimmy Sheirgill are good... but sorta *** hum! It's Akshay's parade all the way. Right from the trailer days, the movie seemed very predictable. ...
