Movie Review Time - Skyfall. James Bond dies but lives not really sure how. Then he decides to go back to work when he realizes that Lady Catherine de Bourg is in real trouble. To make matters worst it appears that Voldemort is really hassling Lady Catherine so James Bond gets to work. He finds that the culprit is Anton Chigurh, Anton has some real mommy issues with Lady Catherine. He even died his hair blond. So he goes to get Anton and then Anton hits on James Bond to make him feel uncomfortable but James Bond tells Anton that all British guys are basically *** so that doesn't make him uncomfortable and he arrests Anton. Anton is pretty clever and really does have mommy issues with Lady Catherine and escapes. He almost kills Lady Catherine but Voldemort turns out to be a pretty good guy after all (maybe it is all that hair he now has) and helps James Bond save Lady Catherine. About to see this guy's movie. This is as about as enthusiastic as I am about it. Sorry kids, I am not into James Bond at all. Feels too calculated and cold to me. Give me an angst ridden neuroses any day. However, I am slightly intrigued by this movie because it is directed by Sam Mendes (Which makes me believe we'll get Thora Birch as a surprise Bond Girl) and has Javier Bardem in what will hopefully be a very poor man's Anton Chigurh. Also, why is this only the third movie this year to enter the IMDB Top 250? This year has not been that terrible.
Sunday morning interviews with James Bond, Anton Chigurh and Dame Judi Dench. Will post closer to premiere.
Up early in NYC to interview James Bond, M, Anton Chigurh, the new Bond Girl and Jon Snow
Well, in other news, I just read that the 23rd James Bond movie, Skyfall, premieres in October 2012. Daniel Craig once again plays Bond, with Javier Bardem playing the main villain. Bardem won a Best Supporting Actor Award in 2007 for is portrayal of Anton Chigurh, the sociopathic assassin in No Country for Old Men. Shaping up to be a "don't miss this one" for 9-ECHO-1.
