Correct - Bill Maher is a smart comedian who uses effective satire. Ann Coulter is basically a fascist.
GUMP OF THE WEEK - While Donald Sterling, et. all is very rich Gump mining ore, we get in the "Wayback Machine" with Mr. Peabody and Sherman travel to 2012 to find this week's Gump. After a presidential debate between Mitt Romney and President Barak Obama, Ann Coulter said, "Romney took it easy on the retard." Despite numerous letters from those with special needs, and the parents of children with special needs Ms. Coulter refused to apologize for using the word "retard." The Republican Pundit maintains that for the past thirty years the "R" word is used to indicate stupidity. Her punditry, with us since the mid 90s, is sardonic, sarcastic and sadistic. She frequently guested on Bill Maher's "Policticaly Incorrect" and like Maher she believes being mean and obnoxious is witty and clever. Therefore despite the large number of people hurt by the word retarded, she continues to use it. Ann Coulter has awareness to know she is hurting others by using the word retarded . Continuing to hurt others wit ...

Ann Coulter and Ben Affleck and host Bill Maher, along with others on the panel, argued over the events and warnings leading up to 9/11/2001.
Ann Coulter dated Bill Maher. Why would anyone trust her judgement? Pushing Romney again. And, more.
I watched Bill Maher the other day for the first time in a few years. I turned it off about halfway through. I like Maher ok, but I can't deal with his approach at all. He's clearly way more interested in chasing demographics and staying in tune with the (manufactured) zeitgeist than he is in being funny or insightful. You can tell that from the endless parade of useless guests he has on: talk-radio droolers, "web celebrities," outrage merchants like Ann Coulter, etc. They all sit around opining on subjects they know nothing about -- just spewing inane talking points, really -- and laughing at Maher's pre-written remarks.
WOW! I guess this means that I'm out with Bill Maher! Guess Ann Coulter DID rub off on him! I am truly surprised at Maher1
+51-11    Ann Coulter sat down with Piers Morgan on Thursday night, and amidst all the political talk, Morgan actually asked Coulter about… romance. This ought to be good. Real Good. This Friday, the guests on “Real Time With Bill Maher” are Ann Coulter, Rob Lowe, Rob Reiner, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL).
Wow. The only person supporting Alec Baldwin right now is Ann Coulter. Although, I suspect Bill Maher might offer him some moral support. If you recall, Maher asked why Paula Deen had to go away for saying a bad word. It does seem a tad bit ridiculous.

Watching the latest episode of Real Time w/Bill Maher. Ann Coulter is on. Oh God.
Will someone please explain to me why I'm so darn hot for Ann Coulter? Saw her on Bill Maher and she looked amazing, despite her sophistic, anti-liberal, race-baiting ways. And she clearly enjoys looking great!
Watching Real Time With Bill Maher, I think Bill needs a shovel for all the bullcrap Ann Coulter slings.
After watching Ann Coulter on Bill Maher, I have determined she needs to be checked into an insane asylum.
Ann Coulter...on Bill Maher's show didn't make a fool of herself...she was a *** fool when she got there. That woman is DUMB!! The audience was laughing AT her, Bill was shooting her down, and she didn't even know it. as for stupidity, Palin and Bachmann don't hold a candle.

The liberal side attacked Ann Coulter for saying the same thing. But when Bill Maher says it, it's the truth and it's all okay. Liberal bias.
Another double standard. Ann Coulter used the term "retard" in reference to Obama, and every Liberal in American crapped a blue one. Bill Maher calls a five year old a retard, and every Liberal in America makes lamoid excuses. The IRS is claiming that by "Tea Party" they meant all political groups as if "Tea Party" is a general term. Someone hand me the bucket; I'm going to puke because I'm sick of it. These aren't even good lies. Five year olds who are up to their elbows in the cookie jar can spin better lies.

I'd imagine the way I feel about Bill Maher is similar to the way my thoughtful, reasonable Republican friends feel about Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck.
Question: Can you be friends with folks who disagree with you on something about which you are passionate? No, not the Designated Hitter rule. (Evil, pure evil!) Or best pizza toppings (mushrooms and spinach, or I wash my hands of you!) ;) I mean, folks who vote Teabagger but are perfectly--even extremely--sweet in person. Or folks who are liberal but will pull a "Bradley Manning must be convicted as a war criminal" out of nowhere. I take a lot of lumps for this. Maybe it's immature. But I just can't. These "different opinions" speak to a different worldview or temperament or SOMETHING that I can't put my finger on exactly, but something fundamental and big. In short, I'm not Bill Maher. I can't be friends with Ann Coulter. EVER. ;) What about you all? -- Cindi
Here's the only reason Bill Maher will not be X. His friendship with Ann Coulter. She makes me so freaking happy.
Am I the only one getting really tired of these allegedly liberal or progressive shows that seem to do nothing but offer a platform to radically right-wing talking heads so they, the hosts, can appear to be heroic by making tepid objections to the nutjobbery of their guests? I mean really, in what sane world is Ann Coulter a suitable guest for "Real Time With Bill Maher," but I'm not? Y'all know I'd be a damned fine guest and bring plenty of handy soundbites and controversial utterances to that kind of show. The more I understand the media, the more it seems to me that a lot of liberal heroes are just as wrapped up in the pro-wrestling gimmick as the right is. Unfortunately, you can't get your voice on major media without an agent, you can't get an agent without lots o' money, and you can't make lots o' money without the kind of exposure that only comes from major media appearances. Share this page, would ya?

Ann Coulter “Dear Ann: You used to be fun; at least funny. At least gently and amusingly insane, but girlfriend, you’ve changed! The thousand-yard stare you’ve acquired in the last couple of years says lonely nights, too much wine and insecurity about the future of your career. Where to now, my sweet fascist? Martin Short on Bill Maher: "They're [Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter] wrestlers. They're not real journalists."
This week I watched a facinating documentary (can get from your library) called, "Lord, Save Us from Your Followers". It showed the friction between faith and culture and it shows how the Gospel of love is dividing the US. It included comments from Bono, Tony Campolo, Bill Maher, Ann Coulter and many many others. Well worth the watch, check it out!
I think Bill Maher and Ann Coulter should wrestle. The matter-antimatter annihilation energy could power the Earth for generations.
Trying to decide...who's more obnoxious-Ann Coulter or Bill Maher?
Going from being the darling of conservative commentator Ann Coulter to winning the affection of HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher is quite a feat. But for Chris Christie, the Republican governor of
Today's "Meet the Press" was a refreshing change in tone. Chuck Schumer (D) and Tom Cobern (R) offered moderate and sane ideas and, yes, actually spoke of bipartIsan compromise admitting that both revenue and cuts to entitlements will be necessary. Am I naive to think this is the end of the likes of Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher being the spokespeople for us? Can we expect that extreme politicians like Michelle Bachmann and Nancy Pelosi will be shut down? I love my rose colored glasses for now.
Do you think Jesus would have wanted Soros and Koch Brothers to fund the Affordable Care Act? Romney lost because... He characterized almost half of the US population as people who only wanted a handout. The fastest-growing segment of the US population is the Hispanics, whom Romney urged to "self deport." The country has always been pretty solidly in the middle between Left and Right. Romney governed Massachusetts as a moderate, but aligned himself with the extreme Right as a Presidential Candidate. The Tea-Party ideologues may be "pure," but they will be increasingly irrelevant. The Republican Party needs to acknowledge Hispanics, Blacks, Women, *** and young people. The old white men who make up most of their base are dying off. Conservatism does itself no favors by being primarily represented in the media by angry jerks. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Marc Levin and Ann Coulter make one foolish and intemperate comment after another. I don't like the snottiness of Randi Rhodes or Bill Maher on the other side, either. Time for some intelligence to return to political discourse.
I liked a video Ann Coulter gets OWNED by Bill Maher
I favorited a video Bill Maher vs. Ann Coulter on Race, Racism, and The Election
You know you've lost all credibility when you rely on quoting people like Ann Coulter, Bill Maher, Glenn Beck or Keith Olbermann, don't you?
Bill Maher and Ann Coulter are on opposite extremes in our societal mindset, and they wouldn't be there if our society was balanced a little better. These two are like blisters on a really bad sunburn.
Fox favorite Ann Coulter continues to be among the many drag-queens of mean at Fox Fiction. My whole family thinks Ann Coulter is very ugly inside and out. Normally I wouldn't point such things out, but Coulter is far more cruel with her attacks on millions of people. Coulter continuously spouts wholesale condemnation of "liberals", *** , "Canada", "France" or any other group who does subscribe to her over-the-top hatefests. Coulter then brags about being a "Christian" and yet also boasts (an abomination listed in her bible far more than homosexuality) about all the guys she has screwed while using the lame excuse of "nobody's perfect". By Ann Coulter's twisted logic, every criminal or HIV-spreading prostitute has a great excuse. Coulter wears scant little dresses to show off her anorexic skeletal frame and Bill Maher (who I normally love and respect) tells the shemale egomaniac that some of his stage crew thinks she's pretty. Those guys must not get out very much or have very low standards. As the ...
Bill Maher welcomed right-wing pundit Ann Coulter to his showReal TimeFriday to discuss her latest book, which contends that “real racism” ended after the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
What is the difference between Ann Coulter and Bill Maher? Actually, there is no difference. Both are provacateurs who say out rageous, unorthodox things for fame and money. They, like Rush Limbaugh, Rachel Maddow, Sean Hannity and Ed Schultz, are entrepenuers of the extremismist economy. If we ignored them all, maybe they would go away and we would all be better for it. From the heart of a flaming moderate with too much time on his hands.
Less than two weeks away. Be prepared as the media begins their final push towards the re-election of a failed Presidency. They have already begun, splashing their pages with the "racist accusations" of people on the right, see the Sarah Palin "shuck and Jive" story, or the "intolerable accusations" of people who are different, see the Ann Coulter story. Of course, neither of these two women are running for President (even though I would vote for either one over Obama). The media, of course, totally ignores Joe Biden when he goes into his act of, "They want to put y'all back in chains!" when speaking in front of the NAACP. This is not offensive but Sarah Palin is with her comments? Their hypocrisy is only exceeded by their lack of class. They have tried their "war on women" act but accept money from Bill Maher who trashes Sarah Palin on a daily basis by using offensive names like *** . They get upset over Ann Coulter's use of the word "retard" but thought it was funny when they made jokes of Br . ...
Retarded - USE. ANOTHER. FLIPPING. WORD. Those below that use this word, no matter if they believe it harmless, demean themselves. They may be smart, but they are also the worst form of *** It shows a haughty arrogance and disdain for those they claim to care about, whether the counter argument be, as in Bill Maher's cae, "I'm not a cold person, I'm a truthful person" - BS! He talks out of both sides of his mouth - retarded kids are sweet and lovable (like dogs). His comments and sentiments are echoed most recently by Ann Coulter. I don't like her - she is arrogant and divisive - but shame on the left for such hypocritical finger pointing as many - INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT - have insulted my precious daughter Lizzy. They sully themselves, despite any apologies. Barack may as well have called himself retarded by demeaning the special olympics - as did the president's former chief of staff Rahm Emanuel. Its NOT being overly PC - any more than the proper denouncement of using a racial or sexual slur (well, ...

Last week when asked, on Real Time With Bill Maher, if she would support Abortion for rape or the health of the mother, Ann Coulter responded, “I wouldn’t even abort it, if I were carrying Bigfoot’s Baby!” This bizarre comment took on new meaning when The National Enquirer reported that Coulter was actually carrying Bigfoot’s “love child.” When asked for comment both the Coulter and the Foot families did not respond. This development is especially surprising because of Mr. Foot’s outspoken opposition to the right to bear arms, which would appear to present a conflict between Coulter, a second amendment advocate and the creature. "Look, I’ve been hunted my entire life, you’d be opposed to it also. How would you feel if it read ‘The Right to Arm Bears?’ Then I’d bet you’d think differently." Foot was recently quoted as saying. Republican Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney said, "Now this shows you the character of Ann. She never even considered aborting the child. Furthermore, I ...
Bill Maher had Ann Coulter and Darrell Issa on Real Time tonight and now I'm too enraged to sleep. Tuned in just to see Brian Schweitzer and Ben Affleck and had to listen to Coulter's blather, and Issa's insanity. Schweitzer and Affleck were their usual amazing selves. Issa attempted to blame Bengazzi on the administration and Schweitzer schooled him.
Ann Coulter said her initial support of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for the Republican presidential nomination was like an ill-advised fling with a biker, but that she returned to make the “responsible choice” with Mitt Romney. “Briefly I admit I ran off with a biker, I supported Chris Christie, I came back to the responsible choice,“ Coulter told Bill Maher on his HBO show ”Real Time” Friday. Asked about Romney’s move “so far to the middle” for the general election, Coulter said that wasn’t true and that he “flipped on one issue his entire life and he flipped in my direction and I’m happy about it…abortion.” When an astonished Maher insisted Romney had changed positions on many other issues, Coulter blamed MSNBC for his confusion. “You’re watching MSNBC and I would not trust them to give you the truth,” she said. “That‘s why you don’t know what Mitt Romney believes. The motto of MSNBC is ‘in other words’ and they’ll tell you what they think Romney believes ...
"So the next time someone asks me "why Obama", I'm not going to bore them with specifics about health care, or education, or veterans or taxes. I'm going to tell them that I am voting for decency and intelligence and safety and diversity. And argue all you want, the Democrats clearly are on the side on those ideals. Last night Ann Coulter was on Bill Maher. She has recently wrote a book that has a very interesting premise. She writes that there is no more racism in the United States. She also insists that the only reason liberals voted for Obama was to ease their guilt about slavery/pre-civil rights America. To prove her point she asked Bill Maher if he knew any racists. When he said no she said, "see, proves my point." I don't know any South Koreans but I'm pretty certain South Korea exists. I don't know any rodeo clowns either. Racism, violence and ignorance is running rampant and as a parent, a woman and an American I am embarrassed. And scared." ~~ THE POLITICAL PARENT
Ann Coulter was on Bill Maher last night talking about her new book about racism which, as Maher put it, a white woman from Connecticut has so much experience about (Ann laughed). She proclaimed that since the Civil Rights Act was passed in the 1960's there are no more race problems. She kept asking, "where are the racists in America today?" Ann, just go check out this guy at a Romney rally ... YESTERDAY.
"The attacks on Clarence Thomas, Mia Love, that lovely Stacy Dash, if you want to see racism in America just present them with a conservative black person" -Ann Coulter [on Real Time With Bill Maher]

*Foul Mouthed Liberals* When a liberal losses or is losing, they start using the "F" word or any other colorful phrases or Rated R phrases. Can they carry on an intelligent conversation without using profanity? I guess not. Decency in speech is not really a liberal thing. Wooki Golberg used a colorful word against Ann Coulter yesterday on The View. I wonder what kind of view is that? The only view is the Liberal Godless Foul Mouthed View. When God is absent, language or the tongue will have free reign to just let go of any word. Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Schultz, Bill Maher, Chris Rock, and Rosie O'donnell included in those group also. Who else? Let us not forget about Roseanne Barr. There are other names to mention, but that should be enough. How is your language today?
Bill Maher, how could you have dated Ann Coulter, this racist piece of crap? I'm shocked and disheartened.
Bill Maher:Did you really have a relationship with Ann Coulter, this hateful p/of trash? Shame on you!
Ugh, these political pundits...as a Democrat I guess I'll see your Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh and raise you a Bill Maher and James Carville...getting a little crazy!
Ann Coulter said Bill Maher and Lawrence O'Donnell think they're Freedom Riders , because they date black women. That's very funny
i hate Ann Coulter but when she said Lawrence O'Donnell & Bill Maher think they're Freedom Riders cuz they date black girls i straight LOLd
Don't usually watch Bill Maher (or any of the rude and/or smug political commentators of ANY political stance), but I watched a dated one with (cringe) Ann Coulter, Dennis Miller, and a minister I don't know. It was from the time soon after George W. began the war in the Middle East. Fascinating to hear their thoughts given the info they had at the time. If you're bored, cruise dated shows.
Ann Coulter targeted MSNBC hosts in a recent "Fox and Friends" appearance about her new book.
Turning from sports to politics, what do Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Rush, Al Sharpton, & Bill Maher all have in common?
Yet ANOTHER example of media bias. Ted Koppel and NBC run a piece on extremist radio and cable TV...and ONLY use O'Reilly, Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh as examples. Their own bias is completely lost on them. They do not use examples like Bill Maher or Ed Schultz...or Al Sharpton or Rachael Maddow. No. They only use clips from conservatives to "prove their point." So...why ddidn't they quote Maher? Why didn't they quote Whoppie Goldberg or any of the women from the view? CERTAINLY you could have found some good quotes from Star Jones or Joy Behar? You know...the lady who wants to see Romney's house burn down? Oh wait...because its a LIBERAL...its not hate speech in the eyes of the leftist media. If you think the mainstream media is not...by and large...leftist and biased...you are either 1) Ignorant; 2) A liar. If Ted Koppel wanted to be honest about vitriol in cable/talk radio...there was plenty of examples to go around...especially on the left...but he chose only the right. He chose Coulter calling Obam ...
There was a good segment on NBC's Rock Center with Brian Williams this week. Ted Koeppel talked with Bill O'Riley about the "talking heads" on the cable networks. I agree with Bill on some things but he bullies and yells too much for me to tune in. Anyway, they talked about how different those shows are from real news, real journalism, where you have to verify information from two separate sources before you report it and there is no room for being subjective. The shows passing for news now are just commentators who give their opinions on any rumor that turns up and they seem to be extremists on both sides. People tune in to the channel that reflects their own views and opinions and often don't see both sides of a story. Most people don't realize this is not journalism but editorializing at its worst. I think it's pretty sad, but that is where the money is (per Bill) and it won't stop until people stop watching. Fat chance. Ann Coulter and Bill Maher were also interviewed. The big 3 networks wouldn't tou ...
Ted Koppel hosted a segment of Brian Williams show last night. Some young people do not know who Ted Koppel is. He is the old time type news anchor that simply reports the news insted of creating it with his own opinions. He interviewed Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, Bill Maher to get each sides view. O'Reilly laughed at how much money he was making by being obnoxious. They also said Fox News reported one billion dollars in annual revenue. People listen to that to shore up existing beliefs and not to get insights on the news.
Bill Maher and Ann Coulter are an infection that must be removed from our political discourse.
Bill Maher and Ann Coulter don't speak for me! They represent what is wrong with American media.
The main story on this episode emphasizes the problem with American broadcast journalism. I became a big fan of old school network news anchors and even sample my style from Walter Cronkite (deep voice not included). Now news is driven by two polar opposite networks - Fox News on the Right, and MSNBC on the Left. Instead of information, you get screaming partisan assassins. Bill Maher and Ann Coulter; Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow; Lawrence O'Donnell and Glenn Beck. You either need to watch both or hope CNN takes enough of a break from that British Larry King knock-off to get a sort-of full picture. Oh, and the saddest irony: NBC doesn't keep two sites up apparently, so this is on the MSNBC video site. The epitome as screaming as you're dragged into the fire

Video on msnbc.com: From Bill O’Reilly describing how some media pundits “smash” politicians, to Ann Coulter describing why O’Reilly isn’t opinionated enough, Rock Center Special Correspondent Ted Koppel investigates the role of the media in the degeneration of politics into an ugly war of words.
"What works about cable television is it's cheap & it makes a ton of money. There's nothing chapter about a bunch of talking heads and the people who hire those talking heads have discovered that the more irrasable, the more partisan, the nastier they are the bigger an audience they get. Yes it has an impact on us a the only way it's ever gonna change is if the audience says, you know something, i'm tired of it!“ - Ted Kopple speaking about outspoken media stars like Bill O'Reilly, Bill Maher, & Ann Coulter, and others like them.

Like most Americans, comedian Bill Maher can’t stomach MSNBC. TheDC’s Jeff Poor reports: "In an interview with The Patriot Ledger (Mass.) reporter Jack Encarnacao published on Thursday, Maher appeared to suggest that some MSNBC hosts are overzealously promoting their views: ‘There’s a place for it. For a while, there was only Fox News. I’m glad MSNBC emerged as a counterweight. As much as I’m very fond of all of the people at MSNBC, Chris Matthews and Rachel (Maddow) and Lawrence O’Donnell, they’re all good people. But if I watch it, like, for a whole day, I want to marry Ann Coulter and join the Tea Party.’"
No you can't. I follow Ann Coulter, Michael Moore, Sean Hannity, and Bill Maher. What am I?
Ann Coulter describes Hollywood actresses as "bimbos," but Bill Maher is still the bad guy.
I seldom watch Bill Maher. I view him as being vile and opportunistic, like Ann Coulter. Both lower and debase the level of our political discourse, and I try to avoid shows like his. But to see Krugman brutalize Arthur Laffer, I may have to tune in tonight.
WORST interview I've seen you do. I'm now sick to my stomach.it was like Ann Coulter having dinner with her friend Bill Maher.
Conservative pundit Peggy Noonan laments that the harsh words that Bill Maher and Tibbits have to say about the likes of Ann Coulter is no different than things said by Rusk Limbaugh, The *** man. She hopelessly defends against the criticism that Republicans are anti-women. Point is that things said about Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin and Michelle Backmann are individalized. The Republican Party's assault on women's healthcare is all inclusive. Sorry Noonan, you need to come to grips with your feminine side, if you can get over your "Idiotology". P3

Not pretty, this editorial; but pretty *** good. This is from the New Rules segment at the end of the most recent show. The nervous laugher in the background is Ann Coulter, who as you can see played an uncharacteristic double role -flirty ex-or-current girlfriend (of Maher) *** right-wing verbal a
I've been thinking about blowhards. How they obfuscate, divert and therefore tend to control the topic and direction of national discourse. Everything can be quiet, then one of the BH's pops off and suddenly everyone in the media is talking about that topic. Enough. They are annoying, unimportant, self-righteous and always at the behest of some interest group, corporation or political party. So, let's see if we can identify the Blowhards on the Left and Right. Please help. L- Michael Moore R- Rush Limbaugh L- Bill Maher R- Ted Nugent R- Glenn Beck R- Pat Robertson R- Sean Hannity R- Bill O'Reilly R- Ann Coulter Note that I have not listed many left-wingers, I really can't think of many LW BH's (feel free to suggest some) and I have passed over many RW pundits. I draw a distinction between a pundit (opinion shaper) and a blowhard. Matt Drudge, George Will, Keith Olberman, Jon Stewart, Laura Ingrham and Chris Matthews are examples of pundits that express left or right wing opinions but don't really put the ...
Please shoot a reality show where Rush Limbaugh, Bill Maher, Keith Olberman & Ann Coulter are crammed into an RV for a cross country trip.

Ann Coulter gets OWNED by Bill Maher: via He had her feeling mad crunchy.
I heard Ann Coulter actually went out with Bill Maher at one time. Did she actually go out with that scumbag? PATHETIC!
- May I rewrite your title? "Ann Coulter, good friend of misogynist Bill Maher, takes swipe at Sarah Palin."
Bill Maher & Ann Coulter are also supposedly great friends.
Jane Fonda is set to play Nancy Reagan. Whats next? Bill Maher as GWB? Ann Coulter as Hillary Clinton?
