Otherwise you are inviting anarchy upon your theme of what you do and stand for. Many are antagonist to productivity as a Culture and Race , they prepare meals for ignorance with excuse or conductivity, This is unacceptable and they must be removed at ONCE; Furthermore To put it as so you can See; Marcus Garvey, W.E.B Dubois , Chanceller Williams , Kwame Toure, Huey Newton, Harriet Tubman, Cheik Anta Diop, Ivan Van Sertima, John Henrik Clarke, LAngston Hughs, Malcolm X, Paul Robeson, Dutty Bookeman, Toussaint Louverture, H. Dear Friends: What are the lessons that we learn from history? They are many. Earlier this week, I had an opportunity to talk with Vince Leggett about the late James Baldwin who wrote an essay on Angela Davis entitled, "If They Come in the Morning". Vince conversation reminded me of the importance of sharing a very simple, yet, profound concept. For those too young to remember Angela Davis had been arrested and charged with murder. An international campaign was launched to "Free Angela". The NAACP, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Huey Newton, James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Reverend Ralph David Abernathy and countless others joined the successful effort to "Free Angela". If one goes back and read James Baldwin's essay, what you will discover is that his premise was that if we did not rally to save Angela, they would come for her in the morning and the rest of us in the evening. His exact quote was, "For, if they take you in the morning, they will be coming for us that evening". T ...

I wish the world can be a better place , I wish the young black males can teach our young beautiful kids something more than how to steal and cheat . Be a role model for them and not just another *** All I see is black killing blacks , but , we shouldn't fight our own race. Come together as brothers and sisters, Martin Luther King Jr didn't fight for our rights to act like this , Angela Davis , Huey Newton and the Black Panthers didn't fight for us to act like this. Civil right movement meant something back in the day , but , now our generation forgot all about that. Don't take our freedom for granteed , our grandmother and grandfather and their parents was slaves but it seem we don't acknowledge that , we gotta start making changes as black people and our communitys , if we don't, who will. We have to make peace and change, I came from a long generation of Black Panthers but that's not the point. We have to come together and make a stand ,be the voice of tomorrow. Thank you Angela Davis and many more ...

Somebody reminded me this "holiday" was to commemorate veterans who fought for this country. Well here are my dedications to those Brothers and Sisters who fought for "MY PEOPLE": Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Nat Turner, Marcus Garvey, Leonard Howell, Haile Selassie I, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Bobby Seals, Angela Davis, The Tuskegee Airmen, The Black Calvary and the countless slaves who were stolen from their homeland to build "THIS COUNTRY".THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. We have lost our way and your fight may seem in vain but just know that there are still a CHOSEN FEW of us that are still in the fight to save our youth and unite our people!!! Shalom
Could you imagine around table meeting that consisted of Angela Davis, Assata Shakur, Bunchy Carter, Huey Newton, George Jackson, Fred Hampton, Zayd Shakur, Safiya Bukhari & etc?! The enemy prevented from such a meeting ever occurring, & if we don't learn from the past an important meeting like that want occur in our present time which is needed more than ever for the benefit of the people & giving direction to our movement & consolidating our ranks across this country! The enemy has label Assata Shakur a terrorist & killed lil Malcolm, time is of the essence of us seizing the time...
sure, my heroes include Assata Shakur, Angela Davis, Huey Newton, Kwame Ture, my granddad, who were all targeted by the FBI
But then again if you think Angela Davis is Huey Newton's opposite then you are an irrelevant individual who doesn't know history.
I was raised to understand Malcolm Little, Thurgood Marshall, Huey Newton, Angela Davis... My peers are raising their kids to know 2Chainz.
Somehow got from bell hooks to Angela Davis to Huey Newton to Jim Jones and his Revolutionary Suicide

When asked, if it were possible to choose anyone past or present, to have conversation over dinner, who would I choose, Malcolm X would be at the top of my long list, with Harriet Tubman, Assata Shakur, Angela Davis, Elaine Brown, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Huey Newton, Ernesto "Che" Guevara, Marcus Garvey, Franz Fanon, W. E. B. DuBois, Carter G. Woodson, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Carl Van Vechten. WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
A BLACK HISTORY MOMENT: WHO WAS THE Black Panthers The Black Panthers v Primary Sources v The Lowndes County Freedom Organization (LCDO) was established by Stokely Carmichael in Alabama in 1964. This organization later changed its name to the Black Panther Party. In October 1966 Bobby Seale and Huey Newton formed the Black Panther Party (BPP) in Oakland, California. They named the new organization after the emblem adopted by the Lowndes County Freedom Organization. The Black Panthers were initially formed to protect local communities from police brutality and racism. The group also ran medical clinics and provided free food to school children. Within a couple of years the Black Panthers in Oakland were feeding over 10,000 children every day before they went to school. Prominent members of the Black Panthers included Stokely Carmichael, H. Rap Brown, Fred Hampton, Fredrika Newton, Eldridge Cleaver, Kathleen Cleaver, David Hilliard, Angela Davis, Bobby Hutton and Elaine Brown. The Black Panthers had chapter ...
Random fb comment "I dont see how painting pictures of erika badu and then selling them for your own personal gain helps starving people, I volunteer at the good neighbor center which helps poor people, If you want to help poor people, do something like that. Idealism is great when you are young but you'll get more realistic as you grow older." List of people I've painted... James Baldwin, Ghandi, Mondo we Langa, Malcolm x, Ed Poindexter, Noam Chomsky, Angela Davis, countless poor people, Johnny the washboard guy, Leonard Peltier, Sitting Bull, Subcomondante Marcos, Dead Prez, MLK, Abe Lincoln, Obama, Standing Bear, Starving people in Africa, A Haitian kid looting a slabbof meat, My daughter, Hellen Keller, Emma Goldman, Cesar Chavez, Nina Simone, Larry Beohmer, Magic Slim, Lady Liberty, Lady Justice, Harriet Tubman, Isis, Athena blowing a kiss that's a nuke, Hendrix, Kali, Isis rescuing Aphrodite, Huey Newton, Huey Freeman, Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey, Bradley Manning, Curtis Mccarty ...

I like the real rap about life hardcore street, but today some MC 'prostitute their rap, their code, and principle. Patrice Lumumba, Frantz Fanon, Malcolm X, Huey P Newton, Fred Hampton, Afeni Shakur, Martin Luther King, Angela Davis, Tupac Amaru Shakur, who else as MCs in the rap world is a tribute to activist the black community that his Battut for the African American become what they are today? Nobody, nobody! No recognition of this new generation what a shame.
I can't resist sharing this, on the tail end of Martin Luther King day. There was a wonderful article in today's Everett Herald about my childhood neighbor, Ozie Greene (Jr). The Greenes moved into the house a few doors up from us when I was in third grade, and his home was practically a second home for us when I was a kid. I hung out throughout junior high and high school with his son Ozie Greene (and still do when we get the chance); I nursed a mild crush on his daughter Janice Greene, who I can now admit was the REAL reason I read Malcolm X, Huey Newton, and Angela Davis as a teen. Janice had a great big poster of Angela in her room, and as I recall, sported a pretty good Afro herself in the day; I teased Dwayne as much as I could get away with; and I adored Mrs Greene, who was and remains one of the sweetest women I've ever known. Yet for all the countless hours I spent in their home, Mr. Greene never talked about being a pioneer in breaking racial barriers -- and never showed bitterness (other th ...
I'm more Malcolm X than any other. But why not also celebrate Medgar Evers, Emmett Till, George Jackson, Bobby Seale, Angela Davis, Mumia Abu Jamal, Assata Shakur, Huey Newton, etc. See your country wants you to side with them in celebrating the cause of more watered down versions of Justice for our people. The brothers I named will never get due recognition from white amerikkka because they didn't accept the beatings, water hoses or dogs being sicked on them or being hit over the head with nightsticks while marching and singing songs because singing and marching don't accomplish much. Thats like white amerikka saying, ok as long as you don't rise up and fight back, you're ok neutered *** Keep dreaming!!!
BLACK HISTORY MONTH I will be drawing 15 portraits of African American historical figures for the month of February. There will be three people in each decade starting from the 1960's-2000's. (I would do more, but I defiantly don't have enough time) Some people you may know and some people you may not. This list is subject to change! Lol. I do need a few more people so if you have any ideas let me know! :) Shoutout to the person who gave me this BRILLIANT idea and to the people who helped with this list! Starting this tonight and there's not a specific order in which I'm doing them in! Angela Davis (political activist/scholar/author) 2. Huey Newton (political and urban activist) 3. Ali (professional boxer) 1970's: 1. Pamela Grier (actress) 2. Harry Belafonte (singer/songwriter/social activist) 3. 1980's: 1. Jean-Michael Basquiat (visual artist) 2. Florence Griffin Joyner AKA Flo-Jo (track & field athlete) 3. Rita Dove (poet/author) 1990's: 1. Michael Jordan (professional basketball player) 2. Oprah Winfre ...
I WILL BE the next Angela Davis I just need my stronger Huey Newton.. But the black nation will rise regardless!!!
My infatuation w the Black Panther Party n leaders like Fred Hampton, Bobby Seale, Huey Newton, n Angela Davis led me to my passion
Hey, remember when you used to hear speeches by Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Stokely Carmichael, Angela Davis, etc. IN RAP SONGS? I miss that...
Although a lot of people can't get passed his radicalism, Malcolm X is one of the most brilliant thinkers of the twentieth century. I love to teach him because so many students have never heard of him or have heard very little of him. I love this point in the semester because I get to teach the stuff near and dear to my heart: the black radicals, the Black Panthers, Huey Newton, Bobby Seal, Angela Davis, SNCC, Stokely Carmichael, the Black Power Movement, the Black Arts Movement, Amiri Baraka, bell hooks, Alice Walker, Nikki Giovanni. You been hearing a lot about black economic empowerment, keeping money in the black community? Well, it comes straight out of this time period. Make sure you know all your history, not just the parts they tell you.
Give me a fish and I'll eat for a day,Teach me to fish and I'll eat for a life time. The advances that have been made by Women,People of Color has been monumental in my life. For hundreds of years My father,His father and his father. Were given the slightest amount of education respect humility. When one of them rose up. He was quickly killed or his property was taken away,Or he put in jail. That was the fish that was given them. When Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver,Huey Newton of the Panthers rose up. It didn't take long to shut them down. You simply can't fight fire with fire. Women such as Angela Davis, Ms. Shirley Chisum,Ms. Barbara Jordan, Gloria Steinum,Athletic figures such as Ms.Althea Gibson,Billie Jean King. Stood,To lose much in terms of wealth and Career. But they were steadfast in their beliefs. When folk such as Prez Obama comes on the scene many of the Pretenders Black,Brown, white don't quite know what to do. Youcan't sway him with pieces of gold or silver. You can't threaten him with poverty, ...
Arkansas Republican Jon Hubbard recently stated that Slavery may have been a blessing in disguise for blacks, not to mention that we endure those conditions and circumstances that has rewared us citizenship in what he calls the greatest nation ever established...I have to admit I appreciate his honesty, because we would not have had such people as Martin Luther King, Malcom X, the Black Panther Party, Huey Newton, Eldridge Cleaver, Angela Davis, and a huge list of other African Americans who brought about change to help cultivate and develope Social equality, not to also Mention all of the African American Athletics, Entertainers, Singers, Politicians, Religious Leaders, Teachers, and any African American who is trying to help lead our people in the right direction.but to all my American Europeans formerly know as the white man, could you have just left out the brutal rapes, beatings, lynchings, kidnappings, killings, stealing, humiliations, degradation, segregation out of the EQUATION!!! I mean if your g ...
You know what I got 10 more minutes to burn real quick to get this off my chest too.Ok so that other rant also turns to this as well. It is said to say but most of the people calling BS on the ruling is some of the same ones that will not vote this upcoming November. LMAO. Come on man, really, lets keep everything in order now. Than we talking about MH as he is a Martyr or something. Hold Up, most of the black community do not even know who Huey Newton, Marcus Garvey, Stockily Carmichael, Booker T., WEB DuBois, Angela Davis, and Nikki G etc etc. . . . See how can we fight about something when we don't know who came before us, man it is a shame that our community knows every mainstream thing available but not enough of us knows anything about our history, and not where we came from, but those who worked hard to make sure that we don't go back. SMH.Im done.Learn Y'all History. . . Read "The Miseducation of The *** than read "The New Jim Crow" -Loz
