The Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act of 2013 (S. 313/H.R.647) was introduced in the 113th Congress by a bipartisan, bicameral set of Congressional Champions including Sens. Robert Casey, Jr., (D-PA) and Richard Burr (R-NC), and Reps. Ander Crenshaw (R-FL), Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), and Pete Sessions (R-TX). The ABLE Act would amend Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Service Code of 1986 to create tax-free savings accounts for individuals with disabilities. The bill aims to ease financial strains faced by individuals with disabilities by making tax-free savings accounts available to cover qualified expenses such as education, housing, and transportation. The bill would supplement, but not supplant, benefits provided through private insurances, the Medicaid program, the supplemental security income program, the beneficiary’s employment, and other sources. An ABLE account could fund a variety of essential expenses for individuals, including medical and dental car ...

Radio Shack sells computers for $325, but . IRS Computers Are Still Running Windows XP, Confidential Taxpayer Data Is At Risk By Paul Caron Washington Post: A Week Before Tax Day, IRS Misses Crucial Windows XP Deadline: Microsoft on Tuesday stopped providing free support and security updates for Windows XP. The long-planned expiration of the popular operating systems has sent millions of users scrambling to upgrade their computer systems. Among who still that need to make the transition is the Internal Revenue Service, which has yet to complete its migration away from Windows XP, less than a week ahead of its own important deadline: Tax Day. The agency is "struggling" to find $30 million dollars to complete its move to Windows 7, according to Rep. Ander Crenshaw (R. - Fla.), chairman of the financial services and general government subcommittee. During a hearing on IRS budget Monday, Crenshaw questioned why the agency had not prioritized the move "even though Microsoft announced in 2008 that it would sto ...

The following elected officials mean nothing to their constituents in Florida now. The first black president has a pen and a phone and will use executive orders to make up law - his law. Those people I voted for have no voice now. Nor do I have the representation I voted for. What ever happened to a government of, by and for the people? "Raise The Minimum Wage Hypocrisy much? And he's not alone; 65 current Republican members of Congress supported raising the minimum wage in 2007 when Pres. Bush asked for it. Now, under Pres. Obama, these same folks are coming up with every excuse in the book for opposing it. Tell the Republican Party: stop playing politics with America's workers and Raise The Minimum Wage! Here's what Paul Ryan said then: “Last year, I supported an increase in the minimum wage because it also included tax relief measures for employers to offset the cost of the proposed minimum wage increase." Here's a list of the rest of the hypocritical members of Congress who suddenly oppose raising the minimum wage when a Democrat is in office. Spread their shame! (Credit: Think Progress.) Rep. Ander Crenshaw (R-FL) Rep. Bill Young (R-FL) Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) Rep. Candace Miller (R-MI) Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) Rep. Dave Reichert (R-WA) Rep. Don Young (R-AK) Rep. A huge THANK YOU to Sens. Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Mark Warner of Virginia, Tom Udall of New Mexico, and Barbara Mikulski of Maryland; and Reps. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, Frank Wolf of Virginia and Ander Crenshaw of Florida for helping to ensure a pay-raise for blue-collar federal workers. Congress clearly recognizes the importance of ensuring pay parity for all federal employees, regardless of which pay system they fall into, and I am glad that this inequality was corrected.
There was a time the United States of America DID NOT negotiate with terrorists. Following is a list comprised of the NEW FACES of DOMESTIC TERRORISM. They were put into the US House of Representatives and US Senate by people who are every bit as ignorant, narrow-minded and bigoted. All present a grave anger to the rest of us as witnessed by the past two weeks' high-jacking of the US Government by many on the list. Stop the madness. Stand up for what is right. Get these terrorists out of government and out of your lives. • Michele Bachmann, Minnesota, • Joe Barton, Texas • Gus Bilirakis, Florida • Rob Bishop, Utah • Diane Black, Tennessee • Michael C. We have been asked on several post who has received this investigators report. Certified copies have been sent to Governor Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi, State CFO Jeff Attwater, Congresswoman Corrine Brown, Congressman Ander Crenshaw, Mr Nelson Cuba, Sheriff John Rutherford, Ms, Susan Eastman, Mr. Ken Amaro, Mr. Cliff Stearns and State Attorney Angela Corey (just to name a few). We have been informed from Ms. Correy that she referred the information to the Governor's Office and we had a response from CFO Attwater and the State General Counsel Office saying that they have passed the information we provided to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement where it now resides for further investigation in their fraud department. Why the media has not reported this in their publications (i.e. the Times-Union, The Folio Weekly, and the local televised news is a question only they can answer.
Thanks to Klay Longstreet for assembling this list. Is your Congress Critter on this list? If so, ask them how they feel about Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court. Allowing corporations to fund elections does NOT preserve your democracy. The following is a list of House Representatives that are in the pocket of lobbies working for Wall Street. They constantly cast votes not in favor of the ones they represent but cast vote in accordance with contributions. Voting records prove they vote in for or against bills that do not support American Prosperity but closer to their individual personal prosperity and wealth.
