Obasanjo in New Book, Says He Planted Moles in His VP’s Camp THISDAY exclusive In his latest book titled My Watch scheduled to be launched in Lagos this morning, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has chronicled the genesis of the uneasy relationship between him and his former deputy, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as well as how his aides planted moles within Atiku’s camp to monitor him. Obasanjo, who denied ever seeking Third Term in office, blamed Atiku for what he described as a campaign of calumny against him on the issue after buying up the media. Revealing details of their private conversations at different times, Obasanjo also traced the ascension to power of President Goodluck Jonathan and the compromise deal that was struck for him (Jonathan) to spend only one term in office. He said it would be dishonourable for the president to now go back on that promise by contesting the 2015 presidential election. Obasanjo also accused the Jonathan administration of promoting corruption. He cited several exampl ...
On Rivers PDP Law Idris wrote: You cannot support and sponsor APC in Rivers State and South-South Region, and turn around to preach "ljaw Nation" to us! An Orashi man and woman swimming Bight of Biafra with President Jonathan and the PDP are the "Real ljaw Heroes" and not a Kalabari Prince and Multiple-Minister that support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and the APC! An 'Opopo Man' that accepts APC's Guber Ticket, and signed the impeachment Notice of President Jonathan, can neither preach ljaw to u...s nor champion Riverine course! President Jonathan should be rest assured of the majority non-ljaw Votes in Rivers State. There is no time to check time again! You cannot romance, dine and wine with enemies of President Jonathan, and turn around to preach ljaw to us: you are a Vulture, Saboteur, and enemy of Rivers People, South-South, and Niger-Delta! PDP all the way!!

APC Presidential Candidates One is happy with the no zoning policy adopted by the leadership of the party and with the presidential aspirations of Gen Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, Governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Adams Oshimhole of Edo State, Okoroacha of Imo State and Kano Governor Rabiu Kwakwanso, without post-primary crisis. Also, to add Tambuwal’s under the platform of APC; I am sure that any of them can send the present inept leadership of PDP to the cleaners. But the challenge is that should there be any crack in this team, the plans and plots of PDP will easily sail through. In this regard, I wish to appeal that a sort of college be formed among these aspirants; to include our governors and BoT members, to select a candidate from among them, so as to avoid any sort of crack. This will enable us forge a united, virile campaign that will send this enemies of Nigeria out from power. But should any of these candidates, for any reason, decide to break this acco ...

Tonye Princewill: A Nigerian Star I Know @ 45 By Odimegwu Onwumere I know a Nigerian star. His name is Tonye Princewill. We first came in contact in 2008, at his residence in Port Harcourt. We became friends. He was 39 years old then. His name resonates in and outside Rivers State, like a clapping thunderstorm in autumn. He has touched many lives through his humanitarian projects. But he frowns at exposing himself to the public, whenever he renders help to individuals or group. Barely a toddler in the Nigerian politics in 2007, Princewill was nominated as the gubernatorial candidate of the then Action Congress, AC, for the governorship of Rivers State. This came in the midst of known contenders for that position. Being a newcomer in politics, how Princewill got the contact of the former Vice-President of Nigeria and the AC Presidential candidate in the 2007 elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is still a subject to ponder till date. Atiku gave him and still gives him every support. The former Governor of Lag ...
