Alex Smith & Cam Newton

Alexander Douglas Smith (born May 7, 1984) is a professional American football player and starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. Cameron Jerrell Cam Newton (born May 11, 1989) is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). 5.0/5

Alex Smith Cam Newton Aaron Rodgers Matt Ryan Tom Brady Andrew Luck Eli Manning Tony Romo Peyton Manning Jay Cutler Andy Dalton Colin Kaepernick Joe Flacco Russell Wilson Drew Brees Carson Palmer Matthew Stafford Ben Roethlisberger Michael Vick

Jimmy G has more Super Bowl rings than Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Phillip Rivers, Matt Stafford, Alex Smith, and Andrew Lick combined
Sam Bradford, Alex Smith, Blake Bortles, Trevor Siemian, Joe Flacco, Cam Newton is average right now, Carson Palmer
Watching the Chiefs against Cam Newton really drives home how not good Alex Smith is.
"It"s bull crap" Anger at quarterback hits as Cam Newton and Alex Smith suffer.
And that's how good Cam Newton is compared to Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick.
Gil, hope you aren't saying you think Alex Smith a higher quality starter than Cam Newton?
My top 5 MVP candidates as of now:. 1) Cam Newton. 2) Tom Brady. 3) Carson Palmer. 4) Antonio Brown. 5) Alex Smith.
QB's that has coached: Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Chris Leak, Tim Tebow and Dak Prescott.
Should I risk starting Cam Newton or roll with Alex Smith
Jets fans willing to die on the hill caping for Fitz. Not Matt Stafford. Not Cam Newton. Not even Alex Smith. Ryan Fitzpatrick.
I just got Cam Newton off waivers for Alex Smith, now Ina finesse this qb less *** outa Eddie Lacy n pick Alex back up 🙏🏾 bird man hrub
Texans have allowed 5 TD passes -- 3 to Alex Smith, 2 to Cam Newton, who also ran for 1. Now they get Jameis Winston at…
Jay Cutler, Ryan Tannehill, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick. This is just the price now.
Call in and ask for a player breakdown comparison of Cam Newton to Alex Smith and watch them run away.
I got offered Alex Smith for Cam Newton yesterday. i think yours is worst.
THIS WEEK'S QUIZ: Who is the biggest draft bust of all time?:. A. Alex Smith. B. Cam Newton. C. RGIII. D. Andrew Luck. Don't…
One year as a starter Tim Tebow had as many playoff wins as Matt Ryan, Tony Romo, Andrew Luck, Jay Cutler, Alex Smith, and Cam Newton. 🐸☕️
Big Ben has more TDs in the last two games than Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, or Carson Palmer have all year
Monday/Tuesday Previews: Denver Broncos @ San Francisco 49ers 6:00am Well the 49ers first home preseason game at Levi's stadium is this week and it's a preview of the Week 7 Clash of the Titans, I honestly hope that the game lives up to expectations unlike the Super Bowl last season. Anyway the Ravens were too much for the 9ers last week and I couldn't really judge much from last week because Kaepernick only threw 1 pass for 17 yards with the drive ending in a field goal. Peyton Manning on the other hand looked in mid season form completing 10/13 for 78 yards. The one thing I look forward to seeing is Levi's stadium in action because it is a pretty neat stadium. Kansas City Chiefs @ Carolina Panthers 10:00am, FREE GAME NFL MOBILE APP. After narrowly escaping the Bengals last week the Chiefs look to take down Cam Newton who will play this week and the Carolina Panthers. The Chiefs offence looked good last week on the drive that they completed and Alex Smith looks pretty sharp. Kelvin Benjamin looks like he ...
in Kaepernicks first 3 years as a pro hes made more superbowl apearences and more championships than Andy Dalton, Ryan Tanahill, Mark Sanchez, Andrew Luck, Matt Shaub, Jake Locker, Phillip Rivers, Alex Smith, Matthew Stafford, Jay Cutler, Matt Cassel, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Mike Glennon, Sam Bradford, Carson Palmer, Tony Romo, RG3, Nick Foles, and Mike Vick. i mean these are all starter and previous starters. Sanchez, Cassel and vick dont start anymore but they were for a long time. this shows how much He deserves all he is getting right now. top 5 QB without a doubt!
Colin Kaepernick deal will impact potential deals for Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith this year; Luck, RGIII, Russell…
How much is Tom Condon seeking for his client, Alex Smith? He has already landed Peyton Manning $18 Million a year, Drew Brees $18.4 Million a year, Tony Romo $17 Million a year, Matt Ryan $16.5 Million a year and will be negotiating hefty deals for Eli Manning and Matt Stafford, soon. Not long after Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco and Jay Cutler all with big deals and with other QBs working behind the scenes on extensions(Colin Kaepernick & Ben Roethlisberger) and others who will be needing dealt with over the next 12 months(Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III) just how much can we pay Smith? Any extension, as discussed in depth; will already cost us the services of Tamba Hali. A huge extension, more then likely chops Brandon Flowers or Dwayne Bowe off, also. SO, serious questions. Are we at a place where we can even make this deal? Will Alex stick with his QB brethren and increase the average pay for QBs or will he cut us a deal?
Very interesting post I found on the Interwebz. The Raiders have traded a late round pick to get Matt Schaub. It is an interesting trade and one that may sound bad but actually good considering many factors: - Lifetime QB Rating = 89.8 or All Time QB Rating - Excluding the 2013 season his QB rating is 94.16 over the past 5 years with the Texans. Explaining the Poor 2013 Season - QB Rating = 73 - All Pro Arian Foster = Played 8 Games - Pro Bowler Owen Daniels = Played 5 Games - WR Kevin Walter = Played 0 Games Matt Schaub vs. Joe Flaco 2013 Stats: - 73 QB Rating = Both - 61% Completion = Schaub - 59% Completion = Flaco - 6.5 yds per attempt = Schaub - 6.4 yds per attempt = Flaco The bigger issue is that there are no quality proven QB’s on the market at all anytime soon until Schaub’s contract is up that won’t get resigned by their team or tagged: 2015 FA QB’s - Cam Newton - Kapernick - Carson Palmer - Alex Smith 2016 FA QB’s - Eli Manning - Rothlesburger - Rivers - Bradford - Luck - RGIII - Tenne ...
I grade how good are these QB's by "tiers" or "categories". For Example, I give a QB a 6 if they are elite, 5 if they are very good, 4 if they are good, 3 if they are average, 2 if they are below average, and 1 if they are bad. Here is my opinion on top QB's. What is your ratings based on these QB's? 6- Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees 5- Ben Rothliesberger, Andrew Luck, Philip Rivers, Nick Foles, Matt Ryan 4- Ryan Tannehill, Alex Smith, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson 3- Andy Dalton, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Robert Griffin III, Matthew Stafford, Mike Glennon, Colin Kaepernick, Carson Palmer 2- Bills QB's (Manuel, Lewis), Titans QB's (Locker, Fitzpatrick), Rams QB's (Bradford, Clemens), Raiders QB's (Pryor, McGloin) 1- Geno Smith, Chad Henne, Browns QB's (Weeden, Campbell), Vikings QB's (Ponder, Cassel, Freeman) I would put Kirk Cousins, Matt Flynn, Josh Mccown, Michael Vick, and Brian Hoyer somewhere in this system but they have not played enough games to earn a spec ...
Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Joe Flacco, Alex Smith. Just some people Nick Foles has more touchdowns than.
All I have heard this season is how Colin Kaepernick would be a one year wonder. First of all yeah how they did my cousin Alex Smith was wrong. Yeah his numbers are down and just because he didn't rattle off the long runs and all the "Kaepernicking" isn't going on he is automatically a bum right? Well chew on this. Colin Kaepernick was a Senior Bowl standout in 2011 and his Nevada Wolfpack were the first team to give the BCS red headed step child, Boise State their first lose in four years and stealing the WAC Title out of their hands. In the same year he was drafted in the second round which many thought the move was a steal for the 49ers. In that same draft five quarterbacks were picked in front of him (In chronological order: Cam Newton, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, and Andy Dalton. In their first FULL year of starting Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick led their teams into the playoffs. Although the 49ers had the 31st ranked passing attack in the league Kap threw one interception in th ...
Honestly I feel bad for Tony Romo. He's really not as bad as ppl make him out to be. I feel he suffering from what Cam Newton suffered from and that's tryna do too much. I like him in clutch situations over Phillip Rivers, Matt Stafford, Alex Smith, Matt Ryan, even Joe Flacco and Jay Cutler
Con't, we don't need an Alex Smith at Arkansas, we need a Tim Tebow/Cam Newton/ Russell Wilson hybrid. Oh wait! We do! His name is Rafe
Did you know that Russell Wilson has been sacked more times, but has a better Passer Rating than Tom Brady, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Colin Kaepernick, RG3, Jay Cutler and Matt Stafford? :)
NFL HALF WAY MARK We have entered the second half of this exciting NFL season. The excitement is due to the seemingly shakeup of the league. Notoriously bad teams are thriving and teams with high expectations are in the decline. Biggest Performers: Kansas City Chiefs - With the addition of their new Head Coach Andy Reid and cautious QB Alex Smith; The Chiefs along with their hard nose defense (8) have run the table in the first half with an 9-0 record. The Chiefs hold a 1 game lead over the pegged Denver Broncos. Denver Broncos - Minus their slip up against the Indianapolis Colts; the Denver Broncos have put themselves ahead of the pack, led by rocket launcher Peyton Manning. Manning leads the league in passing yards, touchdowns, QB rating and 2nd in completion % Carolina Panthers - After losing their first two games, we thought they were in for a losing season. It's been said that Cam Newton has matured this year and, it's starting to show. He has always been a big stat QB but, this time they're translat ...
I think it's important to note - long ago, I wrote an article about how Cam Newton was being hated on in the media and in some public circles. I also declared him to be a better QB than Alex Smith. Checking stats up-to-date - Cam Newton has more TDs, a better completion percentage and an overall better quarterback rating than Smith. Cam is a top ten rated QB this season - Alex Smith isn't even in the top 20. Thought I'd point that out - because I'm 100% a "I told you so" type of guy. =)
Little Giant Ladders
I don't like how quickly people turn on QB's in the league. It's so up and down and I'm tired of it. For example: QB's who are currently "Bad": Eli Manning, Big Ben, Colin Kaepernick, Matt Schaub, Cam Newton, RGIII (Who was considered God last year) QB's who are currently "Good": Phillip Rivers, Ryan Tannehill, Alex Smith (Who is nothing but a game manager) Sorry, I'm just tired of the back and forth. Quit judging QB's off of one season.
Wide Receivers Week 4 The Good Eric Decker DEN So clearly there are plenty of balls to go around in DEN, especially against good match ups. Donnie Avery KC Alex Smith made it clear that he isn't going to force it to Bowe this year. Well guess what, every team in the NFL is focused on taking Bowe away from that passing game. This leave plenty of opportunity for Avery. Plus they're playing the Giants who can't stop much of anything. Torrey Smith BAL Geno Smith just lit this Bills team up. Geno. Smith. The Bills secondary is banged up. Unless I see some of their guys come off the injury report I'm keeping Smith in. The Sleepy Ryan Broyles DET With Burleson out Broyles becomes the beneficiary of Calvin sucking in all the coverage. The Bad Vincent Jackson TB Tampa is a mess, Jackson is currently day to day, and if he plays Patrick Peterson will be shadowing him all day. Bad bad bad. NYG WRs Here's a fun fact for you. Last week Cam Newton outscored the entire NYG's team. That is right all the Giants from the QB ...
Well my Fantasy Football Gamble could've been much worse. I benched Cam newton in favor of Alex Smith. Now there's no pressure for Cam to perform on Sunday. Let it loose kid! Don't worry about my fantasy score!
Does it make me a front runner cause I started Alex Smith over sorry *** Cam Newton!!!
Need fantasy advice from anyone!! Cam Newton against the Giants or Alex Smith against the Eagles??
help me out buddy? Cam Newton or Alex Smith this week!?
Start em or sit em... Cam Newton vs the giants or Alex Smith vs the eagles?
this a good trade ? I don't have any other backup RB and Alex Smith is my other QB with Cam Newton
Talking stats? Actualy Ponder ranked 25th in passing with Jay Cutler and Russell Wilson in at 24th and 23rd. Cam Newton threw 1 more TD than Ponder, Matt Stafford w/250 more attemps...2 more TDs, RG3 had 2 more TDs in the air. It took Eli Manning 5 years to have a better Passer Rating with a carreer avg of 82 (.5 better then ponder last year) Rothlisberger has 5 years where he has NOT thrown more TDs then Ponder did in 2012. In 8 YEARS Alex Smith has NEVER thrown more TDs then Ponder. I could go on and on but the point is simple, Ponders performance was rather good in his first full year compared to other QBs with better WR depth or more experience. Not enough? OK 2 more...Matt Shaub, a 10 year vet has only 3 seasons where he has more TDs then Ponder's 2012, Joe Flacco's first full season...not as good as Ponder's.
What dose Ben Roethlisberger, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford and Matt Hasselbeck have in common? Their is a real answer behind this. -Champ
Who will have the better year Cam Newton or Kaepernic?--pdub
Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, Cam Newton, RGIII, Sam Bradford and Colin Kaepernick. Sorry for bringing logic to this discussion.
Named 17 quarterbacks off the top of my head better than Alex Smith and the first text we got: "I'd rather have Smith than Cam Newton..."
That awkward moment when you've got 11 total NFL starts and you've... - Got more playoff wins than Matt Ryan. - Got more playoff wins than Alex Smith. - Got more NFC Championships than Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Matthew Stafford, Michael Vick, and Cam Newton, and the same as Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. - And your last name sounds like a cat going through labor and vomiting at the same time. GUESS WHO?
Do the 49ers understand that the Falcons play Cam Newton twice a year & contain him. While playing a pocket qb like Drew Brees can tear them apart? I am just saying, Alex Smith can do more damage to the Falcons D than Kapernick...
My podcast wouldn't edit correctly, but I want to start my 32 in 16 segment so I will post the transcript: "Today I am going to start a new segment called 32 in 16. There is approx 16 weeks left til the draft so I am going to look at 2 teams a week and talk about there needs and what they can get whether by Free Agency, and what they should get in the draft." "Kansas City Chiefs: There are pieces in place that can make this team really good, but the biggest need is QB. Honestly Andy Reid doesn't need to look to the draft for an unproven rookie. I am going to say it now; there is no RGIII, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, or Cam Newton type QB in this years draft. I don't see a QB as a Franchise QB but that is just me. Getting back to Kansas, Andy Reid needs to give up a 3rd round pick to acquire Alex Smith, Kirk Cousins, or Matt Flynn. I would of course take Alex Smith, Andy Reid is a QB guru and he knows that Alex Smith would fit the system perfectly. A proven receiver, one of the better Running Backs in the ...
I'm tired of this read option in the nfl. All that means is you don't have a quarterback that can throw the ball. It also means you have to rely off or play fakes and college plays to win. Look what happen to RG3. He got dominated, Joe Webb same thing. Well see with Kaepernick. (we all know it's the Niner D is what is the only thing legit). Anyway ale your pick. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Andrew Luck( who had 5 rushing touchdowns) Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan or RGIII, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, soon to be Geno Smith, Alex Smith?
Let's review some of my stellar Fantasy Football decisions today: drop Justin Blackmon to pick up John Skelton since Alex Smith is questionable; and in another league start Cam Newton over RGIII. Yeah, I pretty much rocked it. Or something.
just traded Jay Cutler and Alex Smith for Cam Newton and Russell Wilson
Hey Matthew. I was wondering who you thought i should go with at QB this weekend. Cam Newton or Alex Smith? Thanks
:  Who would you rather have as your QB... Jay Cutler, Cam Newton, Alex Smith or Mike Vick?
If Alex Smith is sorry *** is Michael Vick and Cam Newton? We finna crank it up now. DON'T CHEER FOR THE NINERS AND DON'T JUMP ON THE WAGON...
To all the Cowgirls fans crying about wanting another QB take our pick; Mark Sanchez? Tim Tebow? Matt Cassel? Brady Quinn? Alex Smith? John Skelton? Ryan Tannehill? Christian Ponder? Brandon Weeden? Matt Schuab? Andy Dalton? Russell Wilson? Carson Palmer? Blaine Gabbert? The only way your getting a Cam Newton, RGIII, or Andrew Luck is if you finish a season with 1-2 wins. You don't have the coaching personal or scouting personnel to draft an Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, or Big Ben. Jerry had a chance to have Drew Brees and Sean Payton as his Head Coach and dropped the ball. So don't be mad at Romo, be mad at Jerry. The offensive line *** and so does the coach. Stop complain' because your qb situation could be a lot worse. Not many qbs can bring you back from 21 down and give you a fighting chance to win.
I just gotta say it. Go Giants! Go Bears! RG3 = Legit. Eli Manning = Legitter. Seriously, let Tebow run the dang ball! Ravens are toast with no Ray Lewis. Brady Quinn is not the answer. Aaron Rodgers never left people, his defense doesn't always show up. Patriots are freakin garbage. They are folders and soft. There's no reason the Jets should be pounding anyone. At this point, Miami looks like the best team in the AFC East. The AFC will lose this Super Bowl. Whomever emerges from the NFC will be so strong and tough, that there is now way they lose. Nice win Raiders, you've still got heart. Keep fighting, that AFC West Title is still up for grabs. Never, ever, ever, bet against the Manning brothers. EVER. Cam Newton, you could learn a thing or two from them. Can anyone question the value of coaching anymore? Cowboys, all the talent in the world, garbage. Harbaugh comes in and turns a 49ers squad who had Alex Smith at QB, 2 rookies on the OL, lost their all pro nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin, had Michael Cra ...
So... The Patriots are close to joining the Eagles and Cowboys in the "which team shows up" group. Joe Flacco is NOT elite. Alex Smith is who we know he is. Big Ben is elite. Never bet against Eli. RG3 is a great centrepiece to build around. Indy is gonna be really good in a couple years. The Saints and playing Saints football. Houston looked really strong. Green Bay may be back - Rogers sure is. Sanchez stinks, but he is still a better option than Tebow. Ponder throws for 90yrds and they win! AP and the D carry MIN. Why isn't Fitzgerald getting 20 targets a game? Cam Newton and Dez Bryant need to shut up and play. Go Niners!!!
How do beat Tony Romo, Arron Rodgers, Cam Newton and Tom Brady, but lose to Sam Bradford, John Skelton/Kolb and Alex Smith? Anyone? Bueller?
So the Seahawks have already beat, Tony Romo, Cam Newton, *Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady this season. Alex Smith, watcha got?
Steve Mariucci you are the dumbest NFL analyst of all time, how do you have a job? "The Seahawks have beaten Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Tony Romo, and Aaron Rodgers. Can they beat Alex Smith? I don't think so."
It seems that all you need to compete in the NFL today is a QB with a strong arm and any of the dozens of big-play receivers. The defensive backs simply cannot cover them. It's a passing league and running game and defense just doesn't matter much, as evidenced by the Giants taking advantage of Alex Smith's relatively weak arm and riding Eli's arm today. The 49ers superb run defense did not matter at all. (The Giants winning the Super Bowl last year while finishing dead last in running yards per game proves how secondary running is now. Although offense in general still mightily trumps defense.) There's so so many stud wideouts now: Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, Julio Jones, Roddy White, Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks, even Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley on the Jets outperform the d-backs. There are QBs who through a strong arm alone can keep their teams in games: Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers and Andy Dalton and Matt Ryan and RGIII and Cam Newton (for all their speed, those last two have extremely strong arms) ...
Fact: After 5 weeks, Alex Smith leads the NFL in Passer Rating and Total QBR (see ESPN for an explanation) . . . Fact: After 5 weeks, Alex Smith has more wins than Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, Michael Vick, Ben Roethlisberger and Cam Newton . . . Fact: If numbers aren't your thing, Alex Smith is a helluva guy, and an easy player to root for . . .
For any Alex Smith haters still out there, who may not have been convinced after being the ranked QB in the NFL last year, his first year in JH Offense, This is what I said would happen if my man ever got to run the same offense 2 years in a row: NFL QB Rankings 1 Alex Smith 108.7 2 Matt Ryan 106.1 3 Matt Schaub 105.3 4 Tom Brady 102.8 5 Peyton Manning 101.2 6 Robert Griffin III 101.0 7 Ben Roethlisberger 100.6 8 Aaron Rodgers 97.0 9 Eli Manning 96.0 10 Christian Ponder 95.5 Some other notables 13 Drew Brees 90.7 19 Matt Stafford 81.6 20 Cam Newton 80.9 23 Tony Romo 78.5
I wish Russell Wilson or Cam Newton or Colt Mccoy or Kevin Kolb or Brandon Weeden or Alex Smith or Tim Tebow player for the cowboys.
Huge mistake benching Cam Newton for Alex Smith today.
Cam Newton is like Alex Smith theyre both not all that good its just everyone elses on the team makes them look good
when Cam Newton gets you 24 points and you Alex Smith gets 6 but you started Alex Smith
Cam Newton is not Mike Vick, Russle Willsion is not Josh Freeman. the list goes on! you dont see them comapring RGIII to Alex Smith smh.
I have Cam Newton and Alex Smith I like Smith vs the jets but cam always has the go off ability. who should i start
fantasy owners, who would you start this week? Cam Newton, Alex Smith or Ryan Fitzpatrick?
Okay...weekend...I'm thinkin' about benchin' Cam Newton for Alex Smith & playin' Andrew Hawkins over Colston or Andre Brow...I need 2 get off of the "schnide" this week I'm 0-3 n my 12 team PPR league...not used 2 that...any advice about fantasy...
A lot of people say the NFL is a qurterback league. The combined record for Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Cam Newton, RG III, Matthew Stafford, Andrew Luck, and Peyton Manning is 8-19. The combined record of Kevin Kolb, Matt Schaub, Russell Wilson, Christian Ponder, Mark Sanchez, Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, and Ryan Fitzpatrick is 20-7. I'm not so sure it is a qb league any more.
should I trade Cam Newton? perhaps for Joe Flacco? And if I'm stuck with Newton this week, should I start Alex Smith instead?
At the end of week 3 Chris Johnson has been out-rushed by the following QBs: Alex Smith, Matt Ryan, Matt Cassel, Russell Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jake Locker, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Michael Vick, and Robert Griffin III. What a true competitor.
And once again I hear about the almighty Cam Newton cry because he got benched. Well dude...your still immature and think your the best when in fact your not dude. Go take some tips from QB's who actually know how to lead a team i.e.(Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, Joe Flaco, Matt Schaub, Alex Smith and Ben Roethlisberger). No offence dude, but you need to stay on the bench until you mature and stop whining. This is football...its a grown mans sport and theres no room for babies.
A pouting post-game conf like Cam Newton's, makes me appreciate the professional qualities of Alex Smith.
The one game I start Cam Newton this dude stinks it up, knew I should kept Alex Smith in or My boi Josh Freeman
unlimited calling, voip, phone service
Man, the chiefs have got to get a REAL QB.don't know what that is in KC? Look @ Sam Bradford, RGIII, Cam Newton, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Tom Brady, Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Standford, Matt Ryan, Luck, heck Russell Wilson.can KC invest in a QB that can do any of the things these guys do? It would really make a difference. They probably should call Kyle Orton and appologize and beg him back, because he's the difference between the team that beat Green Bay and the team getting their asprin beat these last couple of weeks. IJS
Ok, which QB should I start in week 2? Cam Newton, Mark Sanchez or Alex Smith? I'll be dropping or trading one of them this week.
Observations From Every Game Played This First NFL Sunday of the Year: 1. Alex Smith outplayed Aaron Rodgers. 2. Cutler/Marshall look a lot like they did in Denver. 3. Peyton Manning looks a lot like...well...Peyton Manning. 4. The Browns aren't that bad or the Eagles are, once again, overhyped. YOU CHOOSE! 5. The Rams wanted to lose even more than Stafford did...Result: Lions Win! 6. The Pats may have found a running game = SCARY! 7. Sanchez looked like a Starting QB; Tebow looked like a poor man's Brad Smith. 8. Cam Newton is on his own. 9. M. Ryan is ready to blow up 10. C. Ponder didn't lose it for the Vikings...Allowing Blair Walsh to win it for them... 11. The Dolphins have 2 backup QBs and 0 Starters. 12. RG3 looks legit 13. With Skelton injured it's Kolb's job to lose..which he probably was only SEA
Omg.just looked at my fantasy fb league and smh. *** Cam Newton. You were playing Tampa. Should have lit them up. I can't believe Mark Sanchez and Alex Smith had better games then you. Especially Sanchez...Now IDK who to start next week cause they're gonna be playing really good teams.
My Fantasy Football team is as this...Cam Newton, M. Jones-Drew, Beanie Wells, Mark Ingram, A.J. Green, Santonio Holmes, Vernon Davis at T.E., Crosby at K, Ravens defense, and Mario Williams, my backups are Andrew Luck, Alex Smith, Jon Stewart, Santana Moss and 2 other rb's
A lot of people laughed at me several years ago when I said Mike Vick would have a huge comeback season.seeing how he was Number 3 on the Depth Chart. What happened? I was right. Then I was laughed at for saying Alex Smith is a quarterback who can not only lead his team to the playoffs, but win there as well. Cam Newton last season without training camp? Yeah, I called that, too!!! What's in store for this season? 1. Carolina gets past the first round of playoffs (maybe NFC Championship game). 2. The Saints fail to even grab a Wild Card. 3. Cowboys win the East. 4. The Bears also fail to make the playoffs.they FAIL MISERABLY!!! 5. Peyton Manning and John Fox lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl. 6. Andrew Luck ends the season with a LOT of doubters because of his lackluster (but, in my opinion, only because he has been so hyped up and the poor supporting cast) performance. 7. The Bills grab a Wild Card. 8. The Bears fail.miserably. Now.Here's the BIG ONE. MARK MY WORDS: Brandon Wheedon will end up in the Ha ...
a few NFL '12 season Predictions that r sure to go Right: 1. Michael Vick will be benched and lose his job to the backup/rookie Nick Foles by season end and the whole Eagle coaching staff will be fired for not making the playoffs 2. RGIII will have a good overall season but nothing close to the splash Cam Newton made last season as a rookie 3. Give Andrew Luck Offensive Rookie of the Year right now, he's winning it hands down 4. most TV and Internet Analyst are picking the Green Bay Packers to go to the Super Bowl and win it all, which means they won't 5. Tony Romo will get blamed once again for another inconsistent Cowboy season 6. QB Alex Smith will be the reason why the 49ers don't get to the Super Bowl 7. Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson will never wear a NFL jersey again and will subsequently do a duo reality show about how to screw up a NFL career by acting like jackasses 8. Los Angeles will never get a NFL franchise to move to their city 9. Warren Sapp will be fired by the NFL Network for being a hor ...
What do yall think about my Fantasy Football Squad line-up: Starters- QB- Cam Newton (wasnt going for him but had to pick him up) RB Trent Richardson, Willis Mcgahee, WR Dez Bryant, Andre Johnson, Wes Welker, Reggie Wayne, Defense Eagles D, kicker John Kasay, Bench: QB Alex Smith
I still think Alex Smith is a boss for putting Cam Newton on blast
Here's what I wrote about asking Alex Smith about reevaluating his Cam Newton comments.
49ers' Alex Smith: 'I got carried away' talking about Cam Newton
Absolutely love what Alex Smith said about passing yards & Cam Newton. A breath of fresh air. 49ers
The only thing dumber than espngreeny suggesting trading DWade is Alex Smith calling out Cam Newton
Atta boy Megatron, gettin it done. Ranked in the NFL's Top 100 players list. A little disappointed in Jaworski though. To put Matthew Stafford at number for all QB's? That means: Flacco, Matt Ryan, and Romo. And who are the two QB's at 15 and 16? Alex Smith and Cam Newton. Sad day Mr. Stafford.
Still thinking about Alex Smith's jabs at Cam Newton earlier this month...Niners got to NFC Championship game IN SPITE of - Not BECAUSE OF - Alex Smith...Niners have Any other NFC West quarterback - Even Tavaris Jackson - And they win SB 46...
Alex smith said statistics are overrated and said cam newton was an example lol shows what class the 49ers Quaeterback has and is a stupid Hater cause Cam Newton broke records as a rookie lol just cause Alex smiths stats are crap lmao way to make a name for yourself buddy
Plus he rushed for more yards than any rookie QB ever to top it all off this guy made it to the Pro Bowl all that in just his rookie season Alex Smith i wouldn't be talking trash about anybody if i were you because The 49er was ready to give up on you last year if you had another bust season Cam Newton did what you couldn't do as a QB in 1year how long did it take you 7 i wouldn't be running my mouth after not even making the top100 players list and that's after a 13-3 season.
Cam Newton number 40 on top 100 players of 2012 where u at alex smith
"Jon Beason to Alex Smith: Keep quiet about Cam Newton" | Rabbitjerseys for NBA,NFL,NHL,MLB jerseys
Alex Smith / Cam Newton passes on chance to respond to Alex Smith
Alex Smith certainly knows how to start a firestorm for the Carolina Panthers. The San Francisco 49ers number one pick from 2005 had plenty to say about Cam Newton's rookie year and I really don't have a problem with that as a fan. It is clear to me that his motivations are fragile, but his message ...
Alex Smith was NOT hating on Cam Newton by stating facts. QBs can rack up yards when behind bc they throw evry dwn. Just used Cam as exampl.
Listening to Steven A Smith on ESPN is like listening to the teachers of Charlie Brown. He is the biggest *** ! Alex Smith's comments were not about Cam Newton, but how crappy the Panthers defense was last year. He totally missed the point. If you are running a no huddle the whole second half of a game, you are probably behind and they will have huge passing stats.
Steven A says Alex Smith game manager and Cam Newton is a complete stud um the way I look at it Newton needs to learn how to manage games... That's how QB's win. Tom/Peyton/Drew manage games to victory.
I know Alex Smith ain't trying to diss on Cam Newton, saying his 4,000 plus yards through the air all came from no-huddle offense at the end of games. That is BS, the panthers were in every game in the fourth quarter except maybe two. Cam Newton's first NFL pass was a 77 yard bomb to Steve Smith. I hope we meet the 49ers in the NFC Championship because many talking heads sleeping on how good Carolina is and the many, many weapons we have. Carolina Panthers have a dynasty in place.
AP Alex Smith raised some eyebrows this week when he used Cam Newton as an example of how…
Jon Beason puts Alex Smith in check for Cam Newton crackvia
I don't think Alex Smith's comments were meant to be insulting to Cam Newton. He was just using as an example.
Cam Newton put a formerly horrible team on his back as a first-overall QB pick, and Alex Smith didn't. End of discussion, seems to me.
Well we will be out in the hot today. Get up this morning read the sports news and Alex Smith down Cam Newton. Cam way better QB.
Alex Smith thinks passing yards are an overblown stat, and pointed to Cam Newton as a good case study. The comments caused some to question Smith, but Daniel Jeremiah thinks the Niners QB is right.
I'm a 49ers fan but I don't not agree at all with Alex Smith tryn to talk about Cam Newton. First Alex will never be as good as Cam rookie season was. I rather have Cam in a 49ers jersey over sorry *** Alex smith... Smith YOU SUCK
Actually I agree with what Alex smith said about Cam Newton, I like Cam Newton and think he is talented but we judge QB's primarily on wins and losses and most of Newton's passing yards were junk stats that occurred when they were trailing by double digits late in games when the opposing defense drops in to prevent. I'm not an Alex smith fan but he shouldn't take any flack for making obviously true statements.
First we have Alex Smith attack Cam Newton, then Jon Beason attacks Alex Smith, and now we have Patrick Willis attacking Cam Newton and Jon Beason. Who gets involved next?
Um, Alex Smith. Cam Newton is the last person in the league that you should want to, or make it seem like you're taking a shot at on offense.. It'll only put him on top of his game, which is already too much to handle as is.
the nerve of Alex Smith, like Jim Harbaugh wouldn't trade for Cam Newton in a split second
I know football season is still 3 months away but Alex Smith is going to dig his grave before the season even starts. *** Alex? You have no room to talk about Cam Newton...
Alex Smith called out Cam Newton...I hope Newton hears about it lol
Oh, and Alex Smith: Stop worrying about Cam Newton. Start worrying about Josh Johnson.
i hear Alex Smith ripped Cam Newton, pretty laughable considering Newton did more in his rookie year than Alex Smith has done in his entire career
49er fans! yal losing yal team 2 Santa Clara and apparently Alex Smith is losing his mind! If he had any of the ability or a season anything like Cam Newton did as a Rookie he mite not b considered a BUST! But he is and now he's a BUSTA!!! He has no place or clout 2 comment on anotha QB's play until he plays like a OVERALL draft pick shoud! That fake Kerry Collins wannabe! Cowboys...
Dear Alex Smith, before you insult Cam Newton about his stats not equating to wins, understand that you did not equate to your team winning last season, the defense did.
Ok. Did y'all hear Alex Smith, QB of the 49ers (mediocre qb at best) hating on my boy Cam Newton? I use to like Alex Smith. Smh. Hope he throws 20 interceptions by week 2. Im now an official 49er HATER!
Alex Smith better watch his mouth on criticizing Cam Newton. Cuz if Cam came to 49ers Alex would be out of a job.
Props to Alex Smith for calling out the panthers an Cam Newton
So Alex Smith took a shot at Cam Newton because he didnt go to the Pro Bowl..Man I hope we see them in the playoffs
Why is Alex Smith hating on Cam Newton??? C'mon Alex, it was the Niners, not the Panthers who tried to sign Peyton Manning. The Niners had an awesome season in spite of smith, not because of Smith!
Jon Beason to Alex Smith: Keep Cam Newton's name out of your mouth
I am hearing Alex Smith, is a little jealous of Cam Newton. Cam Newton has more 300 passing yards game vs Smith's 2 300 passing yard games. You do the math.
Alex Smith talking smack about Cam Newton. Oh boy. Not going to change how good he is.
Alex smith wishes he was Cam Newton. What did alex smith do his first year? Dont worry ill wait
WOW Alex smith calls out Cam Newton... Really. I mean really.
Alex Smith is ignorant fool who thinks he's good because of one good year with an incredible defense and great coach. Has no room to disrespect Cam like this... He should be praising him for performing his rookie year. Smith put his first good year together after 6 season. Not to mention, his comments are inaccurate, the Panthers led in 14 of 16 games last season. May 23, 2012 6:46 p.m. - by Kyle Bonagura QB Alex Smith doesn't care about his passing yards per game. "That is a totally overblown stat because if you're losing games in the second half, guess what? You're like the Carolina Panthers and you're going no-huddle the entire second half," Smith said. "Yeah, Cam Newton threw for a lot of 300-yard games, that's great. You're not winning though." San Francisco 49ers RapidReports | All National Football League RapidReports
Tony Romo was number 91 on the the top 100 players of 2012. There are 11 Qbs better than him and somehow no one the nfl network could figure it is my list. It wasn't that hard. especially because 9 of them ACTUALLY made the playoffs LOL 1. Tom Brady 6.Matt Ryan 2. Aaron Rodgers 7.Joe Flacco 3. Drew Brees 8.Ben Roethlisberger 4. Eli Manning 9.Alex Smith 5. Matthew Stafford 10. Cam Newton 11. Michael Vick
