Alan Pardew set to stick with same system for must-win Newcastle United match Newcastle United have deployed one up front for most of this season and despite calls for Ayoze Perez and Adam Armstrong, that will continue Alan Pardew looks set to stick with one up front for the trip to Swansea as he battles for his job in South Wales. The Newcastle United boss is under major pressure to justify his team selection and strategy and Mike Ashley has quizzed him about his handling of the side since the start of the season. However, there is unlikely to be a major shift in system for Saturday’s game against Swansea despite a clamour for Pardew to introduce young guns like Adam Armstrong and Ayoze Perez to the striking mix. With Papiss Cisse still short of match sharpness, Pardew has to decide whether to stick with Manu Riviere for the game against high-flying Swansea – which comes with his job under serious threat. Although the club have indicated he will stay in his job in the short-term – andAshley is reti ...

Newcastle United linked with moving for Manchester United flop David Moyes to replace Alan Pardew/mrtoon
Fabricio Coloccini a contender to be Newcastle manager if Mike Ashley sacks Alan Pardew Fabricio Coloccini took on a greater roll to fill the void when Alan Pardew was suspended last season, delivering half-time team-talks Ashley has resisted calls to get rid of Pardew after Newcastle’s dismal start to the season, which sees the club bottom of the Premier League table and still without a victory. More bad results, however, could force Ashley’s hand and result in him looking for a successor to Pardew. While Steve Bruce and David Moyes have been touted as long-term candidates, Newcastle captain Coloccini could get a chance to show his management credentials. Pardew handed overall control to assistant John Carver when he was serving a stadium ban last season, but Coloccini also took on a greater role to fill the void. Coloccini delivered half-time team-talks in the absence of Pardew and has become more involved on the training pitch between games. Newcastle lost six of the seven games Carver stood in for ...

Sam Allardyce has told unhappy Hammers fans he will not change his style because football is only about results. Big Sam has previously dismissed the “West Ham way” as “not winning” and a “delusion”. After the Irons were booed off Upton Park on Saturday following a third consecutive defeat , Allardyce now insists he uses “the team in the right way” and claims he always ignores criticism of his side’s playing style. “If I allow that to affect me, I might as well pack my bags and walk away,” he said. Allardyce has led West Ham back into the Premier League and is one win away from keeping them there with the move to the Olympic Stadium fast approaching in 2016. And in the week David Moyes was sacked at Manchester United , he stated: “It all boils down to one thing in the end. “Whatever anyone says, results are, in the end, the only thing that matters. The bosses have just proven that by doing what they have done to David Moyes. “Is it different at West Ham? No. I can’t understan ...
Deposed Manchester United manager David Moyes and Hull City's Steve Bruce could be approached to replace Alan Pardew if the Newcastle United manager is sacked
Now that Moyes has been sacked,Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is the next man whose job is on the line and rumours strongly suggest that his successor will be-wait for it,wait for it-David Moyes.
Oh dear poor geordies this is a statement from LAWRO and the BBC Newcastle are in a mess and, now that David Moyes has been sacked by Manchester United, Magpies manager Alan Pardew is under even more pressure.Newcastle have lost their last five games, scoring one goal and conceding 14 I could see Moyes going to St James' Park for his next job and I would not be surprised if Magpies owner Mike Ashley is having a little look at him too. What Moyes achieved at Everton, with his record of top-half finishes and turning a profit in the transfer market, will have caught Ashley's eye. Pardew looks extremely vulnerable. His problem is that he keeps losing games, and it is difficult to see that changing on Monday because the Newcastle players who are going to the World Cup do not want to get injured and the rest of them are already on their summer holidays.
Moyes absurd statements that he should never have uttered. 1. AGAINST NEWCASTLE: Quite simply, David Moyes did not speak like a Manchester United manager. Where Sir Alex Ferguson once dubbed Newcastle United a "wee club in the northeast," Moyes seemed fearful of a side that had not won at Old Trafford in 41 years. Ahead of Alan Pardew's visit in December (to the home of the champions, no less) Moyes said he would try and "make it difficult" for Newcastle. In so doing, it showed that he continually struggled to shake the shackles that defined his Everton tenure -- that of the feisty underdog. 2. AGAINST CARDIFF: Following a damaging 2-2 draw at Cardiff in November, Moyes laughably claimed that he would have taken a point at the newly promoted side if he was offered it before kickoff. A point. Against a newly promoted side in the grip of damaging boardroom unrest. 3. AFTER CITY GAME: But perhaps the most damning public statement arrived when Manchester City wiped the floor with Moyes' United at Old Trafford ...
Some good news Boro fans, the metro newspaper reports Mike Ashley will appoint David Moyes to be Newcastle Manager if Alan Pardew miss behaves one more time.

NEWCASTLE LATEST 9/1 Newcastle are 9/1 with Paddy Power to score first but lose to Man Utd Bastian Schweinsteiger's clinical finish nine minutes later ensured the Bavarian giants secured a 1-1 draw, but a spirited display from United - who had been widely tipped to be beaten comfortably - gave manager David Moyes heart. Moyes vowed to go "toe-to-toe" with the Bundesliga champions in the second leg at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday, but he must first turn his attention to Saturday's Premier League trip to St James' Park. United suffered a 1-0 defeat against Alan Pardew's side at Old Trafford back in December to pile more pressure on Moyes, after his former club Everton had consigned them to another home loss three days earlier. But the Premier League champions will be up against a very different Newcastle side to the one that gave the north-east club their first win at United since 1972. Match-winner Yohan Cabaye moved on to Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, while Pardew this week bemo ...

Zaha and McGeady on Pardew's radar as Magpies look to maintain top six and top of the list is Manchester United’s Wilfred Zaha, David Moyes seems open to a six-month loan. Alan Pardew is a big fan and was in the bidding briefly when he was leaving Crystal Palace, but stepped aside when Sir Alex Ferguson moved in. They face competition from Everton, who are also vying for and looking seriously at Aiden McGeady, who is virtually begging to leave Spartak Moscow. As ever, you can name any striker in La Ligue, and Graham Carr has seen him. Moussa Sissoko was the January deal which came before his contract expired, and the chief scout will have studied the team lists before coming up with a plan for Joe Kinnear. No Fergie, no bother: The History Boys Manchester United 0 Newcastle 1 Saturday 7th December 2013 saw Newcastle rid themselves of one of their longest-running hoodoos by winning at Old Trafford in the league for the first time since February 1972. John Tudor and Stewart Barrowclough were the heroes almost 42 years ago but this time it was Yohan Cabaye who gave The Magpies victory over the reigning Champions with a deserved 61st minute winner. On the eve of his third anniversary in charge of United, Alan Pardew chose to bolster his midfield by drafting in Vurnon Anita in place of Shola Ameobi. And clad in their Brazilian-styled change kit, the visitors proceeded to dominate the middle of the park all afternoon. David Moyes was able to welcome back Robin Van Persie but the out-of-sorts Dutchman caused his compatriot/ adversary, Tim Krul, very few problems all afternoon. And with Wayne Rooney suspended the Red Devils misfired badly and we were well-placed to take advantage. Pardew's instructions were evid .. ...
Man United suffer another home defeat 7 Dec 2013 16:52:25 Yohan Cabaye's goal earned Newcastle United a 1-0 victory on Saturday that consigned Manchester United to a second consecutive home loss for the first time in 11 years. The loss to Alan Pardew's side – the first time Newcastle have won at Old Trafford since 1972 – was the champions' fifth of the campaign and leaves manager David Moyes under increasing pressure to turn their season around. After the 1-0 defeat by Everton in mid-week, Moyes insisted that his team could still close the 12-point gap to leaders Arsenal. But while he will continue to put on a brave face in public, Moyes must be concerned by the lacklustre nature of his team's performances, as well as their poor results. Robin Van Persie returned from a month out with a groin problem, but was given little service from a midfield four that was completely changed from the Everton defeat. Cabaye finished off a quick Newcastle break just after the hour, but the final half an hour was an a ...
David Moyes' woes continued as Manchester United were beaten at home for the second time in four days, losing 1-0 to Newcastle United. The Premier League title holders lost 1-0 against Moyes' former club Everton on Wednesday and were beaten again on Saturday by a Newcastle side who picked up their first away league win at Old Trafford since 1972. Yohan Cabaye was the man on target for Newcastle, with the France international scoring after an hour. He calmly finished inside the area after being played in well by Moussa Sissoko to inflict consecutive home league defeats on the hosts for the first time since 2002. Alan Pardew's side had a slice of luck, however, as Vurnon Anita looked to handball an effort off the line at 0-0, before Robin Van Persie saw what would have been an equalising goal ruled out for offside. Moyes made one change in defence, bringing in Jonny Evans to replace Chris Smalling while making wholesale changes in his midfield. Nani, Phil Jones, Tom Cleverley and Adnan Januzaj were all brou ...
Manchester United boss David Moyes has confirmed Shinji Kagawa is a doubt for Saturday's Premier League encounter with Newcastle. The Japan playmaker has picked up a sickness bug and was ill immediately after Wednesday night's 1-0 home defeat by Everton. "Shinji has a sickness bug," said Moyes. "We need to see how he is on Saturday but he wasn't too good after the game." With Wayne Rooney suspended, Moyes could do with Kagawa being available as Robin Van Persie has been missing for a fortnight with groin and toe problems. And the United boss refused to say whether the Dutchman could feature against Alan Pardew's men. "You can ask, that doesn't mean I will answer," he said. "Like every club we have a few injuries. Some have a chance and some don't." Everton's first victory at Old Trafford since 1992 has led to a storm of criticism being unleashed on Moyes, who attempted to brush it off as he spoke at the Aon Training Complex. "It's football isn't it?" he said. "It can happen at any club and it has happened ...
Arsene Wenger is not just the longest-serving manager in the Premier League. He is also the best. His longevity is an indicator of his brilliance. After the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, there is no other Premier League manager who can hold a candle to Wenger’s 17 years at Arsenal. Rather comically, his closest rival as the league’s longest-serving manager is Alan Pardew, who has served just three years at Newcastle. Previous to that Wenger's reign was challenged by David Moyes' 12 years at Everton, but Moyes has now reset the clock by switching to United. Wenger’s first 17 years at Arsenal brought him the highest win percentage in the club’s history. Statistically, he is Arsenal’s greatest-ever manager. To achieve that sort of consistency over such a sustained period is truly remarkable. Under Wenger, Arsenal have not once dropped out of the Premier League’s top four. Wenger’s uniformity of excellence carries over into Europe, too: the Gunners are on the verge of navigating the group sta ...
David Moyes backed to succeed at United by boss Alan Pardew league news/videos
RVP downs Arsenal, Black Cats beat City (AFP) Sunday 10 November 2013 Print Email my friend Share Robin Van Persie haunted his old club again by scoring the only goal of the game as champions Manchester United beat English Premier League leaders Arsenal 1-0 at Old Trafford to revive their title challenge. The Dutchman, who joined United in August last year struck in the 27th minute. Van Persie got the run on Olivier Giroud and attacked a Wayne Rooney corner before flicking his header over Kieran Gibbs on the post and into the net as United found a way through Arsenal's zonal marking system. This victory, arguably David Moyes's most significant success since replacing the retired Sir Alex Ferguson as United manager, saw the title-holders move to within five points of Arsenal, who themselves remained two points clear at the top from Liverpool. The only consolation for Arsenal fans on Sunday was that arch North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur also lost 1-0, to Newcastle, earlier in the day. Victory would hav ...

Everton's unbeaten start to the Premier League season continued as they moved up to fourth with an excellent display against Newcastle. Loic Remy's late strike ensured a nervy finish for Everton, who deserved the win after taking a 3-0 first-half lead. Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring at the near post and prodded in the third, either side of feeding in midfielder Ross Barkley for his well-taken goal. Yohan Cabaye's superb shot made it 3-1 before Remy poked home. The French striker then almost levelled for the Magpies with a stoppage-time strike that flew just a foot above the Everton bar. Had he scored and rescued a point for Newcastle, it would have been a bitter and unjust blow for Everton, who were outstanding, especially during the first 45 minutes.
