: Dharma Productions and Phantom Productions’ Hasee Toh Phasee is a love story. Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra) is a happy-go-lucky guy. falls in love with Karishma (Adah Sharma) who is the daughter of Devesh (Manoj Joshi), a well-to-do businessman. Karishma’s estranged sister, Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), who had, seven years ago, run away from home after stealing jewellery to fund her education, also lands up at the time of the wedding celebrations. Karishma asks Nikhil to take care of Meeta so that her family does not get to know that she is around. He develops a fondness for her and Meeta also falls in love with Nikhil. What happen with Nikhil and Meeta and Karishma is the further story concept. Harshavardhan Kulkarni’s story and screenplay are interesting and engaging, and the best thing about the drama is that it is quite unpredictable. The good part of the screenplay is how Nikhil realises the true side of Meeta and how the character of Meeta unfolds till the audience wants to literally embrace her a ...
Watched Hasee Toh Phasee Movie!!! I think Dharma Productions has lost the sensitivity of taking Rom-Coms. Karan Johar donno what he is expecting from his new directors. Yesterday it was 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein' & now 'Hasee Toh Phasee'.. Coming into Details: Mita (Parineeti) is a girl who, from childhood thinks differently and do something experimental in everything which ends with a complete mess. In her huge Gujarati Solanki family, only his father has some soft corner and always supports her younger daughter, No matter whatever she does. Nikhil (Siddharth), is a struggler who wants to become a big event organizer. Nikhil's encounters Mita in his friend's wedding, where she was trying to escape from her house. He helps her. In the same wedding Nikhil sees Karishma (Adah Sharma) and they both fell in love with each other. 7 years later, its marriage time for Nikhil & Karishma. He still struggling and in this process Karishma always talk about break up due to his negligence about their future. But Nikhil nev ...
Hasee Toh Phasee is a nice movie. Parineeti Chopra is great as Meeta. Her acting was nice in the first half. Sidharth Malhotra and Adah Sharma were nice. Watch if you have time.must watch
Hasee Toh Phasee - Old wine..Old bottle but a little different brewing... Set at the backdrop of a wedding which of course does not happen as planned, "HTP" gives you a lot of believable moments and a lot of not so believable ones. The character sketching of Siddharth and Parineeti, both is very inconsistent. However, Parineeti carries off whatever she got very well. Siddharth tries hard and is sincere but the natural flair takes a hit in trying too hard. Adah Sharma gets a small role but does very well in that. The supporting cast is good but a lot of faces are just redundant which can be accepted in a wedding setting. Not the story but the treatment sets this movie apart and saves from mediocrity. Must applaud the brave angles while writing Parineeti's character. Director Vineel Matthew is definitely here to stay with his own credentials and the backing of some numero uno names in the industry. He manages you hold your attention even when a lot of things go in parallel. Overall a decent watch and if you ...
'Hasee Toh Phasee' was disappointing - it was as if the producers Karan Johar & Anurag Kashyap were trying to pull it in opposite directions. Parineeti was fabulous, Siddharth uneven, Adah Sharma awful.
Vinil Mathew's Hasee Toh Phasee is a fun filled refreshing rom com produced jointly by KJo and Anurag Kashyap. Parineeti proves her acting prowess as a go-getter and Sidharth Malhotra carries off his good looks with an average performance as a mischievous and stressed out lad. A relatively new comer Adah Sharma plays the second lead and looks gorgeous. There is nothing much in the story but the movie has lot of fun characters and strong supporting characters such as Sharat Saxena and Manoj Joshi who play a prominent role. All in all just go out there and have a good laugh.
Hasee Toh Phasee... A typical feel good love story & a family entertainer... This movie has a solid story (from Harshavardhan Kulkarni), superb flow, considerable acting performances & entertainment for a wide range of audience... Songs like Drama Queen & Zehnaseeb are pleasant listening experience... Parineeti Chopra is at her very best by easily filling many shades in her character... Adah Sharma does full justice to her role & at the same time looks ravishing… & still most mentionable is Mr. Sidharth Malhotra... who effortlessly fits in his ‘always cool dude’ character... at the same time he appears as an eye candy for the all female viewers... & for male viewers, a role model to have, when physique & attitude is concerned... Direction from debutant Vinil Mathew is really good… Many small characters in movie are also plotted really well & provide ample entertainment… A feel good watch… Just go for it… :) :) :) :)
Movie Review: Hasee Toh Phasee new-age date movie More on: Filmfare , Hasee Toh Phasee , Sidharth Malhotra , Parineeti Chopra Director: Vinil Mathew Cast: Sidharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra, Manoj Joshi, Anil Mange and Adah Sharma ‘Opposites attract’ is probably the oldest and most clichéd saying in the book. But it holds true for almost all epic love stories. Hasee Toh Phasee falls in that category too. But this film is nothing close to a cliché. This quirky rom-com is packed with chaos, drama and ample laughs. And its USP lies in the vibe and chemistry that the lead actors share, making it likable and a very attractive young romance. The unpredictable and bizarre, Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), is a free- spirited girl and a total misfit in her rich, conservative Gujarati family, which is why most dislike her. She’s compulsively rational and suppresses her emotions to the point where it drives her close to crazy. But things change when she meets Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra). He brings about a balance ...
Hasee Toh Phasee (Hindi): The Karan and Kashyap Combo return with another love story after the 2013 charmer 'The Lunchbox', which is quite fresh and has its heart at the right place. However the problem with the film is that it's structure is quite draggy in the initial 30 minutes, despite few laughs and then the film picks up well till the end. Then there is a bit of melodrama which hampers the pace in the second half. But apart from these, the film scores because of its brilliant characters where the lead Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are simply brilliant and their character development has been shown well. Manoj Joshi and Sharat Saxena are simply riveting and convincing. Adah Sharma is sweet. Screenplay by Harshwardhan Kulkarni has good development graph, despite few cliches. The dialogues by Vinil, Harshvardhan Kulkarni and Anurag Kashyap are crackling and great. Music score by Vishal-Shekhar compliments the narrative. Camerawork by Sanu John Varghese is great as he revisits his 'Vishwaroopa ...
