Hazrat Ali -The Father of Sufism BIRTH Hazrat Ali alayhis ‘salam was born around 600 A.D, in Makka. Ali alayhis ‘salam was born under unusual circumstances. On the thirteenth of the holy month of “Rajab”, Fatima Rahmatullahi ‘alayh, the mother of Ali alayhis ‘salam, visited the Ka’ba for performing the pilgrimage. She retired to a secluded place in the precincts of the Holy Ka’ba, and there Ali alayhis ‘salamwas born. Ali alayhis ‘salam had thus the unique honor of being born in the House of God. This unparalleled honor has endowed Ali with a halo of sanctity, which has become the subject of many legends. Name Fatima Rahmatullahi ‘alayh wanted to name the child “Asad” after the name of her father. Abu Talib wanted to name him Zaid. When the mother and the child came home, the Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam) Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Salla ...

History of Islam The Prophet of Islam In or about the year 570 the child who would be named Muhammad and who would become the Prophet of one of the world's great religions, Islam, was born into a family belonging to a clan of Quraish, the ruling tribe of Mecca, a city in the Hijaz region of northwestern Arabia. Originally the site of the Kaabah, a shrine of ancient origins, Mecca had, with the decline of southern Arabia, become an important center of sixth-century trade with such powers as the Sassanians, Byzantines, and Ethiopians. As a result, the city was dominated by powerful merchant families, among whom the men of Quraish were preeminent. Muhammad's father, "Abd Allah ibn" Abd al-Muttalib, died before the boy was born; his mother, Aminah, died when he was six. The orphan was consigned to the care of his grandfather, the head of the clan of Hashim. After the death of his grandfather, Muhammad was raised by his uncle, Abu Talib. As was customary, the child Muhammad was sent to live for a year or two w ...
The Story of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)Ibn KathirMuhammad (pbuh) was born in Mecca ( Makkah), Arabia, on Monday, 12 Rabi' Al-Awal (2 August A.D. 570). His mother, Aminah, was the daughter of Wahb Ibn Abdu Manaf of the Zahrah family. His father, 'Abdullah, was the son of Abdul Muttalib. His genealogy has been traced to the noble house of Ishmael, the son of Prophet Abraham in about the fortieth descend. Muhammad's father died before his birth. Before he was six years old his mother died, and the doubly orphaned Muhammad was put under the charge of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib who took the most tender care of him. But the old chief died two years afterwards. On his deathbed he confided to his son Abu Talib the charge of the little orphan. When Muhammad was twelve years old, he accompanied his uncle Abu Talib on a mercantile journey to Syria, and they proceeded as far as Busra. The journey lasted for some months. It was at Busra that the Christian monk Bahira met Muhammad. He is related to have said to Abu Tali ...
Prophet MuhammadProphet Muhammad (570-632)Founder of Islam. Important religious, political and military leader who helped to unite Arabia under Islam. Whilst in seclusion in a mountain cave, Muhammad reported receiving a series of revelations from God; these revelations form the verses of the Quran, regarded by Muslims as the "Word of God" and around which the religion is based.Muhammad was born in 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca. Orphaned from an early age, he was brought up by his uncle Abu Talib. In his early life, he worked as a merchant and shepherd. Muhammad had spiritual inclinations and would spend time going to caves around Mount Hira to spendtime in silence, prayer and retreat. It was during one of these retreats that he later revealed hearing the voice of Angel Jibreel (Gabriel). Muhammad believed he was receiving the voice of God and wrote down these recitations to create the Qu'ran- the holy book of Islam. In the beginning he attracted a relatively small number of followers, but they were v ...

Why prophet mohammad had sex with a dead woman? My reference - Hadith 34424 Kanezel omall - This is from a book called "Kanz Al Umal" (The Treasure of the Workers), in the chapter of "The issues of women", authored by Ali Ibn Husam Aldin, commonly known as Al-Mutaki Al-Hindi. He based his book on the hadiths and sayings listed in "Al-Jami Al-Saghir," written by Jalal ul-Din Al-Suyuti. Narrated by Ibn Abbas: "I (Muhammad) put on her my shirt that she may wear the clothes of heaven, and I SLEPT with her in her coffin (grave) that I may lessen the pressure of the grave. She was the best of Allah’s creatures to me after Abu Talib"… The prophet was referring to Fatima , the mother of Ali. The Arabic scholar Demetrius explains : "The Arabic word used here for "slept" is "Id'tajat," and literally means "lay down" with her. It is often used to mean, "lay down to have sex." Muhammad is understood as saying that because he slept with her she has become like a wife to him so she will be considered like a "mother ...
Protect yourself from anger for It's beginning is insanity and It's end is remorse. . ~ Imam Ali Ibn Abu Talib (as)
The judge turned to Imam Ali (as), demanding that he should present his evidence proving that the armor was his. Imam Ali (as) smiled and said that he had no evidence. So, the judge issued his decision that the armor belonged to the Christian man. Amir al Momineen, Imam Ali Ibn Abu Talib (as) then cheerfully accepted the decision of the court against him. The effect of upholding the prestige of the Court of Justice, and his adherence to the principles of equality and equity were so impressive that the person, against whom he had filed the case, and had lost it, ran after him, kissed the hem of his garment, and said, "My master! Teach me Islam
Sahih Al-Bukhari vol.5, Book.58, hadith - 223 Narrated Al-Musaiyab: When Abu Talib was in his death bed, the Prophet (ﷺ) went to him while Abu Jahl was sitting beside him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O my uncle! Say: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, an expression I will defend your case with, before Allah." Abu Jahl and `Abdullah bin Umaiya said, "O Abu Talib! Will you leave the religion of `Abdul Muttalib?" So they kept on saying this to him so that the last statement he said to them (before he died) was: "I am on the religion of `Abdul Muttalib." Then the Prophet said, " I will keep on asking for Allah's Forgiveness for you unless I am forbidden to do so." Then the following Verse was revealed:-- "It is not fitting for the Prophet (ﷺ) and the believers to ask Allah's Forgiveness for the pagans, even if they were their near relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the *** Fire." (9.113) The other Verse was also revealed:-- "(O Prophet!) Verily, you g .. ...

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abbas: Ali bin Abu Talib came out of the house of Allah's Apostle during his fatal illness. The people asked, "O Abu Hasan (i.e. Ali)! How is the health of Allah's Apostle this morning?" 'Ali replied, "He has recovered with the Grace of Allah." 'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib held him by the hand and said to him, "In three days you, by Allah, will be ruled (by somebody else ), And by Allah, I feel that Allah's Apostle will die from this ailment of his, for I know how the faces of the offspring of 'Abdul Muttalib look at the time of their death. So let us go to Allah's Apostle and ask him who will take over the Caliphate. If it is given to us we will know as to it, and if it is given to somebody else, we will inform him so that he may tell the new ruler to take care of us." 'Ali said, "By Allah, if we asked Allah's Apostle for it (i.e. the Caliphate) and he denied it us, the people will never give it to us after that. And by Allah, I will not ask Allah's Apostle for it." [Bukhari 5.59.728 ...

I don't know why people keep on asking to whom the vote should be ?? Listen the logic is simple.. Candidates are as follows : 1. Abu Jahl 2. Abu Lahab 3. Abu Talib.. I know you will vote the less evil one.. By Default Abu Talib will win.. Right ?? Reason you will quote as He is the less evil one or some will saw Abu Jahl is most evil and doesn't deserve the post or some will say Abu Lahab is not a good person.. Whatsoever LEADER should have two things.. Kavi nd Amin.. Now Kavi means trustworthy and Amin means honesty.. Aj k waqt tho no leader pose that.. This is out of context.. People who are saying we should vote the less evil one.. Now how can you trust ki when he gets the position he will not change and became the most tyrant and most evil of all. We want the leader who is ALLAH-Fear.. Who will rule according to ALLAH's rule.. Who will be the servant of people..

Muhammad's Visit to Ta'if More than ten years had passed since Muhammad, may God bless him and his Ahlul-Bait, had first begun to preach Islam. His success in these ten years had been rather modest, limited as it was to the conversion of fewer than 170 men and women in Makkah. But after the death of his wife, Khadija, and his uncle, Abu Talib, it appeared that the Quraysh would wrest even that limited success from his hands. Makkah had proved inhospitable to Islam and it occurred to the Prophet that he ought, perhaps to try to preach the new faith in some other city. The nearest city was Ta’if, 70 miles in the south-east of Makkah, and he went there in late 619. Zayd bin Haritha went with him. In Ta’if, Muhammad, the Messenger of God, called on the three chiefs of the local tribes, and invited them to abandon their gross idolatry, to acknowledge the Oneness of God, to repudiate man-made distinctions of high and low, and to believe in the equality and brotherhood of all men. The chiefs of Ta’if were ...

For three years Muhammad invited people to Islam in secret, then he started inviting publicly. When, according to the Quran, he was commanded to invite his closer relatives to come to Islam[25] he gathered the Banu Hashim clan in a ceremony. According to al-Tabari, Ibn Athir and Abu al-Fida, Muhammad announced at invitational events that whoever assisted him in his invitation would become his brother, trustee and successor. Only Ali, who was thirteen or fourteen years old, stepped forward to help him. This invitation was repeated three times, but Ali was the only person who answered Muhammad. Upon Ali's constant and only answer to his call, Muhammad declared that Ali was his brother, inheritor and vice-regent and people must obey him. Most of the adults present were uncles of Ali and Muhammad, and Abu Lahab laughed at them and declared to Abu Talib that he must bow down to his own son, as Ali was now his Emir[26] This event is known as the Hadith of Warning. During the persecution of Muslims and boycott o ...

HOW THE SUFISM CAME FROM SAHABAS. (r.a). Bismillah, alhamdulillah wa salat wa salam ala rasulullah. I have learned one thing about Sufism, it’s about experience and it has to be something transmitted from person to person- not from book to reader. I found this lengthy passage I found in Abu Talib al-Makki’s “Qutb al-Qulub”. This book is full of many Hadith, so I know the author understood the relevance and importance of Hadith in Islam. It’s a description of Hasan al-Basri that illustrates how the wisdom of Sufism comes from the Sahabas. Hasan is our Imam in his knowledge of which we are speaking. We pursue his footsteps, follow his path, and seek illumination from his niche. It is by God’s leave that we have traced this teaching from imam to imam all the way back to Hasa. He was among the best of the Followers (Tabieen? or Taba Tabieen?) in spirituality, so that people said, “He kept the wisdom within for a full 40 years before he ever spoke about it.” He had met 70 companions from the Ba ...

STEADFASTNESS IN THE FACE OF HARDSHIPS The Prophet's (Sallallaho alaihe Wasallam) Journey to Taif For nine years, since his selection by Allah for His mission, the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) had been delivering the message of Allah in Makkah and making all-out efforts to guide and reform his community. Excepting a few persons who had either embraced Islam or who helped him though not accepting his creed, all the rest in Mecca left no stone unturned in persecuting and deriding him and his followers. His uncle Abu Talib was one of those good-hearted people who helped him, in spite of his not entering into the fold of Islam. The following year, on the death of Abu Talib, the Qu-reysh got a free hand and therefore accelerated their sinister pursuits without check and hindrance. At Taif, the second biggest town of Hijaz, there lived Banu Thaqif, a clan strong in number. The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) left for Taif with the hope of winning them over to Islam, thus giving quarter to Muslims f ...

The rule of the third Caliph, Uthman ibn Affan, concluded with a violent uprising. This uprising ended with the assassination of Uthman and for many days rebels seized and occupied the city of Medina. Under the overwhelming pressure of the Ummah, Ali (Ali Ibn Abu Talib) was elected as the fourth caliph with massive numbers of people swearing their allegiance to him. His immediate steps were to ensure the unity of Muslims. He issued the orders of not attacking the rebels until order was restored. The governor of Syria, Muawiyah, kinsman to the murdered caliph Uthman, refused allegiance to Ali and revolted against him, using his cousin's unpunished murder as a pretext. This resulted in armed confrontations between the Islamic Caliph Ali Ibn Abu Talib and Muawiyah. Practically, the Muslim world became divided. At the death of Ali Ibn Abu Talib, his elder son Hasan ibn Ali succeeded him but soon signed a treaty with Muawiyah to avoid further bloodshed.[10] One of Muawiyah's most controversial and enduring leg ...

Para sa mga MUKLO nang MINDANAO... ALAM BA NINYO NA. WHY muhamMAD UNCLE ABU TALIB NEVER EVER CONVERT TO ISLAM??? It is very interesting to know why his uncle remained as pagan. Take for example; our parents know what kind behavior we are. Like Abu talib , he surly know that Muhammad never be a prophet or his uncle believe this guy is making up story. If Muhammad indeed a prophet and brought true religion, surly Abu talib would convert to islam yet he did not. After Aminah's death when he was six, he was taken care of by his grandfather, `Abdul Muttalib. After `Abdul Muttalib's death when Muhammad was eight years old, his uncle, Abu Talib, became his guardian. Abu Talib used to take Muhammad on his mercantile trips to as far as Syria. At the deathbed of Abu Talib, Muhammad urged his uncle to confessed Allah, even though deathbed confession is not acceptable in Islam. Abu Talib died a pagan. See Abu Talib for more details. Besides Abu Talib, the Jews chosen by God also rejected Muhammad teachings. There i . ...

(1) PEACE GREETING AND RETURNING THE GRRETING: Greating is one of the ways of spreading the love between muslims and of entering Paradise. The prophet(SAW) said:"By the one in whose hand is my soul, you will not enter into Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love each other. Shall I not direct you to something tha if you do it, you will love each other? Spread the greeting of peace amongst yourselves."(Muslim). The Final Phase of the Diplomacy of Negotiation The Messenger of Allâh [pbuh] left his confinement and went on preaching his Faith as usual. Quraish, likewise, repealed the boycott but went on in their atrocities and oppression on the Muslims. Abu Talib, the octogenarian notable, was still keen on shielding his nephew but by that time, and on account of the series of tremendous events and continual pains, he began to develop certain fits of weakness. No sooner had he emerged victorious from the inhuman boycott, than he was caught in a persistent illness and physical enervation. The polytheists of Makkah, seeing this serious situation and fearing that the stain of infamy that the other Arabs could attribute to them in case they took any aggressive action against the Prophet [pbuh] after he had lost his main support, Abu Talib, took a decision to negotiate with the Prophet [pbuh] once more and submit some concessions withheld previously. They then delegated some representatives to see Abu Talib and discuss ...

As salaam alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh! Today's Answer(36): a Christan monk named Bahira ABOUT THE EVENT; When Muhammad was about six years old (in 575 A.D.), he lost his mother as well; so, the doubly-orphaned child was brought up by ‘Abdul-Muttalib with the most tender care. Umm Ayman was now his governess. It was the will of God that Muhammad should undergo all the suffering, pain and privation incidental to human life in order that he would bear them with becoming fortitude and raise his stature in human perfection. Not two years had passed before ‘Abdul-Muttalib also expired. ‘Abdul-Muttalib died in 578 A.D. at the age of 82, leaving the care and custody of the orphaned Muhammad to Abu Talib. Abu Talib and his wife, Fatima bint Asad, loved Muhammad more than their own children. As the Prophet himself said, Fatima bint Asad was his “mother’ who kept her own children waiting while she fed the Prophet, kept her own children cold while she gave him warm clothes. When Muhammad (PBUH) was twelve years old, he went with Abu Talib who was a merchant, towards Ash-Sham (area of Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Syria). A priest named Bahira saw Muhammad (PBUH), embraced him and offered him some food. Then he uncovered Muhammad's (PBUH) back and looked for a mark between his shoulders, which he knew the last Prophet would have. Bahira knew signs of the last Prophet from the teachings of Prophet Jesus (AS) that had been preserved. Bahira said to Abu Talib, "Your nephew has a very high status, return with him to your hometown and guard him against the Jews, unless they notice the signs that I noticed." Abu Talib quickly finished his business and returned back to Makkah. After that he did not travel with him, fearing for him. At the time, there were Christians and Jewish people. The Christians were not having the right belief about Prophet Jesus (PBUH) saying he was the son of God, and the Jewish people were not truly following Prophet Moses (PBUH) because they denied the Pro ...

The Prophet Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w Speakes to Her Daughter in His Last Hours of Life (28 Safar) Madina was totally engulfed in confusion and anxiety. The companions of the Prophet had gathered round his house with tearful eyes and grieved hearts. The reports which were pouring out from the house showed that his condition was extremely serious and there was very little hope of his recovery. This showed that only a few moments of his precious life were left. A number of the companions of the Prophet were desirous of seeing him from near but his serious condition would not permit that anyone except the members of the family should visit the room in which he was lying. The honoured daughter and the only souvenir of the Prophet viz Lady Fatimah was sitting beside her father's bed. Our prayer is meant to be a spiritual and uplifting experience. When Khadijah (RA) died, shortly followed by the death of Abu Talib, followed by the hardship of Taif, it was at that time Allah ordained Al-Israa wa Al-Mi'raj and the legislation of the 5 daily prayers. It is meant to be the calm amidst the storm. The essence of the prayer and spirituality is a correct understanding of Surah Al-Fatihah. Just to extract some of the beautiful meanings from it: 1- Allah introduces Himself as Al-Rahman Al-Rahim. The source of all Mercy and the one that manifests it. This introduction takes place just prior to us being told that He is the master of the day of retribution, a day when all accounts will be settled. Thinking about such a day inspires fear and awe. However, Allah reminds us that we are dealing with Al-Rahman and Al-Rahim and we should leave our fears with the owner of all mercy. Likewise, a clear reminder that Allah's mercy will always overcome His anger and wrath. Have hope in His mercy and fear His ...
Accumulation of Griefs Saeeda Khadeejah, Radi Allah Anha, died after Abu Talib died. These two sad events took place within a few days. The Prophet’s, Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam, heart was trembling with sorrow. His people troubled him consistently. Sorrow after sorrow mounted after the death of Abu Taalib. In great despair, he hoped that at least the people of Taaif would receive his call to Islaam. And he set out of Taaif. But there was none to support or help him. On the contrary, the people of Taaif gave him trouble to such an extent even his people at Makkah had not gone that far. The stonehearted and reckless people of Taaif beat him and persecuted him severely. Makkans troubled his Companions as much as they troubled the Prophet, Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam. persecution fell upon his closest comrade Abu Bakr, Radi Allah Anhu. Therefore, he too decided to emigrate to Habasa. When he left Makkah and reached barkul Gimaad, ibn Duhnna met him, took him under his shelter and brought him to Makkah. .. ...
Many Sunni scholars of all variety do not believe that Abu Talib, the prophet's uncle was a Muslim despite his kind words well wishes and extraordinary support to the prophet then. Yet some categories of same Sunni preachers, now say just wishing Christians well during Christmas, a sort of a moral support, will automatically mean one has accepted that Jesus is God. That one has already showed they believed God was born on a 25th of December. Well, to some of us, the very reason why we are Muslims, why we love Islam is because of its universal code of kindness, compassion and fair neighbourliness. Whenever people we regard as very knowledgeable among us express ideas that seem contrary to this known Islamic code and especially on Christians that are clearly said in the Qur'an to be our closets allies among all other world religious groupings, we will ask how and why, why and why? We are only asking for more elaborate reasons and nothing more. We believe religious rulings are more of products of texts and c ...

Lady Khadijah Bintu Khuwaylid was highly respected, honourable and a patient woman. She was the richest amongst her people. Lady Khadijah was presented with many suitors for marriage but she refused in spite of all generous offers she had.

The first 14 years after his self claimed prophecy , muhammad was nobody. He was called crazy and notbody wanted to give his daughter to him for marriage. Even his own uncle Abu Talib ( his protector) denied him his daughter when muhammad asked for her . But things were changed when muhammad and his followers started plundering all possible tribes. After attacking different tribes and plundering their properties and women , muhammad used to be the first one who took his share of the booty. The first thing he did was to choose the most beautiful and young captured girl for himself. He was a 55 years old ugly man who had to satisfy many young girls. Of course he couldn`t . He knew that these young girls have needs and they are cheating on him. People knew that he can not possibly satisfy his young wives sexually. Muhammad made some rumo ...
Introduction: Ali Ibn Abu Talib says: “A man can be judged by his words.” And that is what this site is all about… It judges Mir Babar Ali Anees the man who awarded the title of Khuda-e-Sukhan, the Creator of words. Indeed, some readers will reckon that Mir Anees can be judged as the best poet in the Urdu language only, however that is a shortsighted view of this great man’s phenomenal and unparalleled feat with words. Poetry is not only about language, its about the perfect balance between each and every line that is composed. Thorough poetry is the beauty that originates in the flow of the words when they are read out… the rhythmic sounds that enter the heart through the ears. A passionate fan of Mir Anees said about his poetry, “It seems as though my heart has tasted honey, a heavenly drink, through my ears.” Sometimes people do not understand the rare words used by Mir Anees in his poem, but satisfy the thirst of eloquence and elocution by just listening to the rhythm of his flowing word ...

Was Abu Talib a Muslim? All the Shi'ite scholars and some of the eminent Sunnite ones like Ibne Abil Hadid, the commentator of Nahjul Balaghah, Qastalani, in his bookIrshad al-Sari and Zini Dahlan, in his annotations to the book Sirah Halabi, have regarded Abu Talib as being a Muslim. In the original Islamic sources too, there exist numerous evidences in support of this issue, which when studied leave us profoundly astonished and perplexed as to why Abu Talib finds himself the object of such unkindness and accusation? How is it possible that one, who had defended the Noble Prophet (S) by his entire existence, and time after time had presented himself and his children as a shield for him in times of peril, be the object of such an allegation? And here the discerning researchers have surmised that this wave of antagonism against Abu Talib is one that is political in nature and stems from the opposition of the evil lineage of Bani Umayyah to 'Ali (a.s.).This is because it is not just Abu Talib, who due to his ...

11th Muharram - Shaam-e-Gareeba, the night of homeless It was after Asr on the day of Ashura. Imam Hussain lay dead. The earth had trembled! Furaat had broken its banks! From the camp of the family of the Holy Prophet such lamentation arose as had never been heard before! ‘Umar son of Saad’ received a letter from ‘Ubayd Allah son of Ziyad’. The Governor of Kufa instructed that they should not be satisfied with the death of Imam Hussain. His body must be subjected to the ultimate insult of being trampled by the hooves of horses. And this was done to the Grandson of the Holy Prophet (pbuh)! As the sun was setting in the horizon, the soldiers rushed to Imam Hussain’s camp in search of booty. They looted every tent. Every lady, and every girl was stripped of her veil. Fatima’s daughters were left bareheaded. Sakina’s ear-rings were pulled off her ears, splitting her ear lobes. When the little girl pleaded for her veil to be left untouched, she was slapped. Surely they would stop now? But they did ...

Sermon of Imam to the Army of Yazid Then the Imam mounted his camel and addressed the people with a very loud voice, which could be heard by most of them: "O people of Iraq! Listen to me and do not make haste to kill me so that I may tell you what I must, and appraise you of the reason for my coming to Iraq. If you accept my excuse, believe in what I say, and behave towards me fairly, you will level for yourselves the path of prosperity, and then you will have no reason to kill me. And even if you do not accept my excuse and deviate from the path of justice, you must ponder over the pros and cons of the matter before you kill me, and should not undertake such a delicate task rashly and without deliberation. My supporter is the Almighty Allah Who has revealed the Qur'an. Allah guards His deserving slaves". "O people! Identify me and see who I am. Then you will come to your senses and reproach yourselves. You should reflect carefully whether it is permissible for you to kill me and to disregard the reverenc ...
Conquest Of Syria: 630-638 CE In 626, the Holy Prophet sent a message of goodwill and an invitation to accept Islam to Syrians. Ignoring all norms of decency, Byzantine Christian Governor of Syria put the messenger to death. The Prophet called a few thousand volunteers and sent them out under the command of his adopted son Zyed ibn Haritha in 630. Byzantinians brought one hundred thousand well trained and heavily armed men. The mission failed and Zyed died fighting. Jaffer ibn Abu Talib and Abdullah ibn Rawaha took the command one after the other and died fighting. Khalid ibn al-Walid took over the command and proved excellent swordsman. He inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy and managed to withdraw safely from the field. On his return the Holy Prophet conferred on him the title 'SWORD OF ALLAH'.The first Caliph, Abu Bakr, formed three contigents having 3000 Mujahideen each and sent them out to Syria under the commands of Amr ibn al-As, Yezid ibn Abu Sufiyan and Sharabil ibn Hassanah. Da Blaqsmif Mohammad Prophet Muhammad’s Wife Ayesha, Her Age at the Time of Marriage Recent attacks upon Islam and Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by the leadership of a certain faith tradition has been most unfortunate. Belief in Islam by over 1.2 Billion Muslims, 1/5th of the total human population is a shiny example of the contributions of Islam and Prophet Muhammad. With the Grace of God, the number of Muslims and their reverence for Prophet Muhammad will continue to grow till The Last Day. It is doubtful that the attackers of Islam, and their contributions will be remembered even as a blip on the vast horizon of human history. Our time will be much better spent sharing the message of our own faith traditions, in an environment of mutual respect, rather than making erroneous and hate-filled remarks about others. Background: Muslims believe that God Almighty has provided the same guidance to all of humanity, i.e. starting with the first human being Adam, a prophet of God, through the ages to pro ...

what about weeping for Khadijah (ra) and Abu Talib? The Prophet (saw) wept for both of them. How come that isn't sunnah?
what about weeping for Khadijah (ra)? Or abu Talib? And why aren't there narrations of the sahaba continuing this "sunnah?"
which is why the Prophet himself spent a year mourning Abu Talib (Aam al huzn) I guess.

Hazrat e qasim (a.s) in Karbala ! Qasim ibn Hassan was the youngest son of the second Shia Imam Hassan ibn Ali Ibn Abu Talib. Qasim was born in 47 A.H., three years before Hassan ibn Ali was martyred. When the third Shia Imam Hussain ibn Ali prepared to leave Medina in the month of Rajab 60 A.H. Qasim ibn Hassan’s mother (Umme-e-Farwa) asked Hussain ibn Ali Ibn Abu Talib to take her and Qasim with him. Hussain ibn Ali agreed. Qasim, although only 13 years old, had, like his cousins Aun and Muhammad, learnt fencing from Abbas ibn Ali and Ali Akbar ibn Husayn. Abbas ibn Ali was very fond of Qasim ibn Hassan. At the Battle of Karbala On the night before Ashura, Hussain ibn Ali was passing by Umm-e-Farwa's tent, he heard Qasim saying to his mother, "Mother, tomorrow Uncle Abbas, Ali Akbar and I will defend uncle Hussain. Mother, if I get killed please do not weep for me." Umm-e-Farwa replied, "My son although I dearly love you, I shall not weep for you. Nothing will make me prouder than to see my son give h ...

The Event of Mubahila The Prophet’s illustrious life was drawing to an end. Subsequent to the Farewell Hajj, in the presence of a significant crowd, Imam Ali, was declared the vicegerent of the Prophet, and the true religion of Islam was perfected, with an accomplishment of completion, sealed with the announcement of the Wilayat of Ali Ibne Abu Talib. The Prophet had invited leaders from across the globe, towards the religion of Islam, with one of his invitations reaching the Christians residing in Najran. On receiving this invitation, in order to determine whether the claim of Prophethood was one of truth or if it was engulfed in falsehood, sixty representatives of Najran, arrived in Madina. In the presence of the Prophet, they were informed of three messages by the Seal of the Prophets. They were: The Oneness of God, as testified by Muslims in the Kalima The Prophethood of H. Muhammed The belief that Prophet Isa was the servant of God, and His messenger, opposed to the belief that Jesus was the son of ...
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) started his sacred mission by inviting those who were close to him. Among the earliest of converts were Zaid ibn Haritha (R) - his adopted son; Ali Ibn Abu Talib (R) - his cousin who was also living with him; and Abu Bakr (R) who was a dear friend and a prominent figure in Makkah. All of them professed to Islam on the very first day of the call. May Allah (S) be pleased with them.

Ablution means to wash one's face, hands, arms, head and feet with water. _ Volume 1, Page 25a: Part of Islamic law This is proven from the three major sources of Islamic law: -1- The Qur'an. Says Allah in the Qur'an, "O you who believe, when you rise for prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows and lightly rub your heads and (wash) your feet up to the ankles (al-Mai'dah 6). -2- The Sunnah. Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah said, "Allah does not accept the prayer of one who nullified his ablution until he performs it again." (Related by al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud and at-Tirmizhi.) -3- The Consensus. There is a consensus of scholarly opinion that ablution is part of Islamic law. Therefore, it is a recognized fact of the religion. _ Volume 1, Page 25b: Its virtues Many hadith state the virtues of ablution. We shall mention just a few: -1- 'Abdullah ibn as-Sunnabiji stated that the Messenger of Allah said, "When a slave makes ablution and rinses his mouth, his wrong deeds fa ...
Stories of the Sahaba Khadija (RA) roseProphet Muhammad (SAW) forever remembered Khadija (RA) with love, affection and gratitude. Khadija al-Kubra was the daughter of Khuwaylid ibn (son of) Asad to the clan of Banu Hashim. Khadija's father, was a merchant and a successful businessman whose vast wealth and business talents were inherited by Khadija. Although the society in which Khadija was born was a terribly male chauvinistic one, Khadija earned two titles: Ameerat-Quraysh, Princess of Quraysh, and al-Tahira, the Pure One, due to her impeccable personality and virtuous character, not to mention her honorable descent. She used to feed and clothe the poor, assist her relatives financially, and even provide for the marriage of those of her kin who could not otherwise have had means to marry. In the beginning, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was hired by her to handle all of her business transactions. The Prophet was a young man of 25, and although coming from a noble family, he was an orphan and not a man of many me ...

She is the first of the Mother of Believers, the title of veneration and respect given to all the wives of the Prophet SAW, and has the unique position of not only being the first woman, but also the first person, to embrace Islam. Imamat - (Guidance) - Belief in the divinely appointed leadership after the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HF) to protect and guide mankind with the revealed Truth, the Holy Qur'an and the true practices of the Holy Prophet himself. The roles of these leaders is an integral part in the protection of all the Messengers and their divine Messages. The Almighty Allah appointed through the Holy Prophet himself, twelve Guides (Imams) to protect mankind from misrepresenting and misinterpreting the Truth. Belief in this is most important in Islam and no doubts about their positions should be allowed. They are indeed sinless (ma'soom) and perfect in the highest sense of the word. The Imams have direct knowledge from God, and their verdict is the verdict of God. After the Holy Prophet, only they can interpret and guide mankind in every aspect of life and death and all believers must acquire guidance from them or else they will certainly be lost. They do NOT bring any new laws nor do they ever innovate their own la ...
Mohammad Pages 12345 The Hijra Then in 619 CE, described by early biographers as Mohammad’s “year of sadness,” both his wife Khadija, the closest and most intimate companion of his life, and Abu Talib, his protector and the chief of the Hashim clan, died. He was not only devastated but found himself in an extremely precarious situation. According to Reza Aslan “The results were immediate. Muhammad was openly abused on the streets of Mecca. He could no longer preach or pray in public. When he tried to do so, one person poured dirt over his head, and another threw a sheep’s uterus at him.” After his first revelation, Khadija’s elderly cousin Waraqa had warned Mohammad that his task would not be easy and that the Quraysh would eventually expel him from Mecca. Mohammad had been dismayed at hearing this then, but almost seven years later, it looked inevitable. His message was dividing the families of Mecca, appealing above all to the young. The Believers were in essence removing themselves from . ...
The Revelations God’s words were spoken directly to Mohammad just as they had been to the Old Testament Prophets before him. Because it is the language of sacred texts, Hebrew was often considered sacred. In post-biblical times, it was referred to as lashon ha-kodesh, the holy language. And like biblical Hebrew, the Arabic of the Qur’an (Recitation) is also considered sacred because it is the language through which Mohammad received God’s revelations. Both were addressed to a predominately oral society. They were meant to be read aloud, recited, and their sounds are an essential part of their sense. Both Hebrew and Arabic have multiple resonances of words that have the same trilateral root which affect the listener on multiple levels. The English language can only provide a sense of this on a far, far simpler level, in certain phrases such as: “looking through the pane” where the pane of glass also can bring up the idea of physical or emotional pain. One day, when he was about forty years old, M ...
