Abraham Lincoln & Ronald Reagan

Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. He successfully led his country through a great constitutional, military and moral crisis – the American Civil War – preserving the Union, while ending slavery, and promoting economic and financial modernization. Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 – June 5, 2004) was the 40th President of the United States, serving from 1981 to 1989. Prior to that, he was the 33rd Governor of California from 1967 to 1975 and a radio, film and television actor. 5.0/5

I can't believe in astrology because according to the chart, Guy Fieri, Abraham Lincoln, Shakira, Ronald Reagan and I all share a sign.
“It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” George Washington "We recognize no sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus!” John Adams “The reason that Christianity is the best friend of government is because Christianity is the only religion that changes the heart.” Thomas Jefferson "The future and success of America is not in this Constitution, but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution is founded.” James Madison "Yes, I do love Jesus.” Abraham Lincoln “The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.” John F. Kennedy “If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.” Ronald Reagan “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.” “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer” Barack Obama
My Fellow Americans, Please pardon my former infractions which occurred 13, 11, 9, and 6 years ago; these are a product of unfocused exuberance. For the past five years I have become a born again Christian, and desire to serve my country in singleness of heart. I love my country as Abraham Lincoln, who considered it: “the last best hope on earth.” Persuaded by such truth(s), I believe I have everything it takes to fulfill the soldiers creed, and the will to defend the constitution with a whole heart. I yet love my country in spite of all that America has done: good and/or bad because I believe in the foundation by which our nation was laid and not swayed by the inconsistencies which all mortals are subject. I believe in our true manifest destiny as John Winthop’s claim, “That We Are A City on a Hill,” with as much zeal as Ronald Reagan. So treat me not like many Roman emperors did their citizens by barring anyone who was a slave or in trouble with the law from joining the military. This not only ...
Here is a copy of a recent op-ed I sent out. This version is just slightly longer than the official released version because of length constraints by the Oklahoman and others. - A Convention of the States may be our best chance to reign in the federal government Over the last year we have heard from candidates in every part of the state running for office decrying our out of control federal government. These candidates speak about the tyranny of the federal government not unlike our founders faced over two centuries ago, they speak of the loss of states' rights and state sovereignty, but what I do not hear is a big solution to this ever growing big problem. From Thomas Jefferson, to Abraham Lincoln, to Ronald Reagan, our greatest American Heroes and leaders have always feared an oppressive, tyrannical federal power, and each and every one counseled us that it is our duty to wrest ourselves from this oppression and reestablish our union. This is what we must do. Fortunately, our founders envisioned this ex ...
QUESTION: Which President said the following? (HINT: It was during his Second Inaugural Address.) ". . . each time we gather to inaugurate a president, we bear witness to the enduring strength of our Constitution. "What makes us exceptional, what makes us America is our allegiance to an idea articulated in a declaration . . . We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, and among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. "The patriots of 1776 did not fight to replace the tyranny of a king with the privileges of a few, or the rule of a mob. They gave to us a republic, a government of, and by, and for the people. Entrusting each generation to keep safe our founding creed . . ." Beautiful words, aren't they? Who comes to mind: A. Abraham Lincoln? B.Teddy Roosevelt? C.Ronald Reagan? D. Great us presidents in freemasonery. Barack Obama is a 32nd Degree Freemason. Other Presidents who where also Freemasons - George Washington James Monroe Andrew Jackson James Polk James Buchanan Andrew Johnson James Garfield William Mckinley Theodore Roosevelt Howard Taft Warren Harding Franklin Roosevelt Harry Truman Gerald Ford They where all known Freemasons. As for others - Abraham Lincoln did apply to become a Freemason, but withdrew. Lyndon Johnson recieved his first degree of Freemasonry then left before receiving his second degree, making him void. Ronald Reagan, he was not a Freemason but it is speculated that he was because of his involvement within the Imperial Council Of The Shrine. George Bush was speculated too be a Freemason, because George Bush took his Oath on the George Washington Bible, which belonged to St Johns Lodge in New York City (A Freemason lodge).

When asked to comment on the character of James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson stated, "Turn his sole wrong side outward, and there is not a speck on it." Imagine if we could say this about our current politicians? Our country has made some of the greatest leaps mankind has ever seen, but we have lost many of the aspects that made this country so great. I long for politicians that put their country, not party first. Politicians that truly care about protecting the inalienable rights of their constituents are few and far between. We need more God fearing leaders like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and Ronald Reagan, to name a few. I urge you to find these leaders and elect them! We need to elect these men and women on the local, state, and federal levels.

HAPPY Presidents Day! The smallest President was James Madison (Presidential term 1809-17). The fourth President, Madison stood 5 feet, 4 inches (163 centimeters) tall and weighed less than 100 pounds (45 kilograms). The tallest President was Abraham Lincoln (1861-65). He stood 6 feet, 4 inches (193 centimeters) tall. The heaviest President was William Howard Taft (1909-13), who sometimes tipped the scales at more than 300 pounds (136 kilograms) during his tenure. After he became stuck in the White House bathtub, Taft ordered a new one installed. The replacement was big enough to hold four grown men of average size. The oldest President ever elected was Ronald Reagan (1981-89). The 40th President took office at the age of 69. The youngest elected President was John F. Kennedy (1961-63), who reached the White House at 43. But the youngest President to ever serve was Theodore Roosevelt (1901-09), who was elected Vice President on a ticket with President William McKinley. In September 1901 a deranged anarchi ...
Happy Presidents’ Day! I consider this holiday as the "AYSO of Holidays" (that reference may be vague to some, but the American Youth Soccer Organization frowns upon individual merit, and has a policy where "everyone plays."). Only in America would a Nation lump Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan in the same category as Martin Van Buren, Franklin Pierce or even Richard Nixon. Instead of giving honor to whom honor is due, we'd rather lump everyone into the same holiday, honoring all the same. Truth of the matter is this: Presidents' Day is one of America's most controversial holidays for three main reasons: a) There is no universal agreement on the actual name of the holiday. b) There is no universal agreement on which presidents are being honored. c) There isn't even an agreement on the spelling of the holiday (is it Presidents' Day, or Presidents Day or even President's Day?). The Federal Government lists Presidents’ Day as "Washington’s Birthday." The website "USA.gov" states th ...

Wednesday Words of Wisdom: "Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide." - Ronald Reagan
I want my Republican Party back. The party of great leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and even Newt Gingrich. Not our current spineless, back stabbing, mush, RINO feckless hacks like John Boehner, Mitch McConnel, and Karl Rove. surrender and retreat from the French Republican leadership. Time for Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Louie Gohmert, Steve King, Mike Lee, Michele Bachmann, Allen West, Sarah Palin, Joe Walsh, David Hale, and the Tea Party to run the GOP
Wow. Besides Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, we have Ronald Reagan, of course. But also, Allen West, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck. All born in February)
Both Tony Blair and David Cameron are puppets of the Jesuit Order, Vatican, Order of Malta, City of London Corporation, Worshipful Company of Mercers and their TheCityUK. Blair is married into the Catholic, Booth family who are Luciferian impostors who assassinated the last American President, Abraham Lincoln in 1865 and were paid £60 through the Bank of Montreal by Privy Councilor Edward John Stanley. An assassination which saw the U.S. drop diplomatic relations with the Vatican. It was not until 1984 when the diplomatic relations were back out in the open. Why? Honorary Knight of Malta, Ronald Reagan signed a Concordat with the Pope. ALL Roads lead to ROME.
On September 18, 1982, in a Radio Address to the Nation, President Ronald Reagan stated: At every crucial turning point in our history Americans have faced and overcome great odds, strengthened by spiritual faith. The Plymouth settlers triumphed over hunger, disease, and a cruel Northern wilderness because, in the words of William Bradford, “They knew they were Pilgrims, so they committed themselves to the will of God and resolved to proceed.” George Washington knelt in prayer at Valley Forge and in the darkest days of our struggle for independence said that “the fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army.” Thomas Jefferson, perhaps the wisest of our Founding Fathers, had no doubt about the source from which our cause was derived. “The God who gave us life,” he declared, “gave us liberty.” And nearly a century later, in the midst of a tragic and at times seemingly hopeless Civil War, Abraham Lincoln vowed that “this nation, under God, shal ...
What would Abraham Lincoln say about Phil Robertson's comments? What would Ronald Reagan say about them? Most of all what would JESUS say about Phil's comments?
Forget Conspiracy Theories, The Truth Is Often More Shocking by Tomasz Pierscionek Sun 1st Dec 2013 The 50th anniversary of John F Kennedy’s assassination gave the debate surrounding his death a new lease of life. Various theories interweaving the usual suspects: the Mafia, the CIA, anti-Castro Cuban exiles and the disillusioned, perhaps mentally unstable, ex-marine Lee Harvey Oswald, have resurfaced. Though extensive measures are taken to safeguard the President of the United States from enemies domestic and foreign, the job remains perilous. Of the 44 current and former serving US presidents, four were slain (Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William Mckinley and John F Kennedy) and a further two (Ronald Reagan and Theodore Roosevelt) were injured in assassination attempts. In addition, more than a dozen others presidents were targeted during their time in office. Few professions, perhaps with the exception of the military, carry an almost 1/7 risk of death or injury. The circumstances of Kennedy’s d ...
Can anyone figure out what the common theme here is? Give your answer below by posting a comment. Let's see if you can get it right. We will even give you a hint with the photo we have posted here: The 1963 John F. Kennedy assassin(Lee Harvey Oswald) was an avowed cultural Marxist, Cuban-trained, and a registered Democrat (Unfortunately he was murdered by Ruby before trial). The 1865 Abraham Lincoln assassin(John Wilkes Booth) was an anarchist, racist, and a separatist Confederate Democrat (chose suicide by police / police set fire and burned him alive in a barn). The 1981 Ronald Reagan attempted assassin (John Hinckley, Jr.) is a registered Democrat (currently living in halfway house/limited release). The 2012 Newtown, Connecticut school shooter (Adam Lanza) hated Christians and was a registered Democrat (committed suicide). The February 2013 California ex-Police Officer shooter (Christopher Dorner) advocated entitlements, had public anger management problems, was major Obama supporter and a registered D ...
"I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go." - Ronald Reagan quoting Abraham Lincoln. - What an inspiring statement to me right now.

Ronald Reagan is not the Republican Party Abraham Lincoln is the Republican Party
Ronald Reagan, Wm. Henry Harrison, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington were all born in February. I was born in Philadelphia February of 1974. The Constitution says you have to be 35 years old to be the President. I could've been the youngest President ever if I ran in '08 and the youngest so far if I ran in '12 however somebody born at a later date would be President sometime after even if he was older when he was elected that I was when I would've been elected. I've heard of Delusions of Grandeur and Grandiose Delusions but imagine if Jesus were President?

Somehow I think that if Mitt Romney were elected that some of this stuff wouldn't be happening right now. Oh well, now America gets to sit back and cry ourselves to sleep. The good news is that we only have another...oh lets say still another 4 years of this administration. Another thing is that Obamacare only works if young healthy people sign up for it which is in turn paying for the elderly. I can say that I won't sign up for it and just end up paying the fine during my tax returns. I like it how some people vote for one party and never take the time to learn about what the other party has to offer. Well maybe I should do just that. From here on out I plan to vote for the Republican Party here on out. Sure there are some crap Republicans in history but I think there have been far more Democrats that are worse. All I need to do is name two Republicans to make my point. Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. Check and mate.
former US presidents like Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan, complete the high profile set of Aquarius people.
You only have to be 30 years old to become a US Senator. I was born in Philadelphia. My birthday is February 8th. Ronald Reagan's birthday was February 6th. A WELL WRITTEN CONVINCING ANALYSIS. By TVR Shenoy in Rediffnews.com September 23, 2013 * 'You can fight to win leadership of a party, yet join party rivals to win a general election in the US. The fact that dissent is not rebellion is not really appreciated in India, where we are used to the 'High Command' culture,' says T V R Shenoy. As Barack Obama dithered over Syria, Republicans pointed to a five year-old television commercial. 'It is 3 am,' a voice proclaimed, 'A phone is ringing in the White House,' going on to make the point that Obama was unprepared for a foreign crisis. That commercial was made not by any Republican but by Hillary Clinton in 2008, while fighting Obama for the Democratic nomination for the American presidency. Eight months later, Obama asked Clinton to be his Secretary of State. Barack Obama was inspired by Doris Goodwin's Pulitzer-winning book on Abraham Lincoln, Team of Rivals. Lincoln's rivals for the Republican nomination in 1860 were William Seward, Salmon Chase, and Edward B ...
For James Buchanan there was Abraham Lincoln. For Harry Truman there was Dwight D Eisenhower. For Jimmy Carter, there was Ronald Reagan. Don't worry America, after every Democratic White House disaster there's been an amazing come back led by a great Republican President. America's best days are still ahead of her!
Here's an interesting treatise on how we might reduce the number of deaths resulting from "gun violence." * In 1863, a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States. * In 1964, a communist-turned Democrat killed John F. Kennedy. * In 1983, a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan. * In 2007, a registered Democrat named Seung-Hui Cho shot and killed 32 people in Virginia Tech. * In 2010, a mentally ill registered Democrat named Jared Lee Loughner shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killing 6 others. * In 2011, a registered Democrat named James Holmes went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people. * In 2013, a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza shot and killed 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School. * One could go on, but you get the point, even if the media does not. Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns. SOLUTION: It should simply be illegal for Democrats to own guns. Take the guns from Democrats and you've just reduced gun crime by 97%; an ...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA! You are 227 years old today. That’s a long time for a nation to remain free. But, when you take the long, historical view, you’re just a CHILD among the nations. Egypt, China, Japan, Rome, or Greece— they all had much longer histories, but not so free. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA! You have a rich, spiritual history that continues to influence us today. My County, ‘Tis of Thee was written by a minister, Samuel Francis Smith. The Pledge of Allegience was written in 1892 by a minister, Francis Bellamy. The words “In God We Trust” are traced to the efforts of Rev. W.R. Watkinson. Rev. John Witherspoon, a Presbyterian minister was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA! You’re entire history has spanned only 4 generations. When Thomas Jefferson died, Abraham Lincoln was a young man of 17. When Lincoln was assassinated, Woodrow Wilson was a boy of 8. By the time the nation mourned the death of President Wilson, Ronald Reagan was a boy of 12. But eve ...
Abraham Lincoln, Warren G. Harding, and Ronald Reagan all played the harmonica while in office.
What do Abraham Lincoln, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Martin Luther King, Jr. have in common??? REPUBLICAN'S who fought for 'CIVIL RIGHTS'.
The communists won the war! "Red" Rosa Parks: Fabricating an American 'Icon.' Rosa Parks was not a simple seamstress whose lonely act of defiance in 1955 sparked the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement. In fact, she was a trained Communist Party (CPUSA) activist. Her refusal to move to the back of the bus wasn't a spontaneous gesture, but a provocation organized by her longtime employer, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Last week Rosa Parks' body lay in state under the Capitol Rotunda; an honor accorded only 29 times in US history, to people like Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy, and most recently Ronald Reagan. This treatment illustrates how the American public is routinely lied to and betrayed by its political leaders and Mass Media. The New York Times obituary said her arrest "turned a very private woman into a reluctant symbol and torch bearer." President Clinton said her action "ignited the most significant social movement in American history." To understand why ...
Remember I posted the American Romanticist Thomas Cole's Course of Empire series oil paintings? The American and Jewish histories are the similar cycle. When the country is getting blessed by God so much, people and their descendants are prosperous, some of them may finally betray the moral value and make this country decline. The American histories of George Washington to James Buchanan, Abraham Lincoln to Chester A. Arthur, Grover Cleveland to Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt to Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower to Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan to Barack Obama are like this.
Hannelore Morton Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuehrer I was not impressed by Sen. Barack Obama after the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident – a wholesome presidential package. It is so instinctive for most people to want to see blacks succeed. It is as if all humanity is carrying a collective guilt for what the ancestors of blacks endured. However, despite my initial interest in him, I was soon put off, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. It is surreal to see the level of hysteria in his admirers. This phenomenon is unprecedented in American politics. Women scream and swoon during his speeches. They yell and shout to Obama, “I love you.” Never did George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt. Martin Luther King Jr. or Ronald Reagan arouse ...
So..for 5 years little Barry has tried to compare himself to Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln. After listening to yesterday's excuse marathon it becomes obvious that the Republican president he most resembles is Richard Nixon.
He’s compared himself to Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt, evoked nostalgia for John F. Kennedy, sought to emulate Ronald Reagan, (belatedly) praised George W. Bush, and enlisted the assistance of Bill Clinton in his 2012 re-election effort, but as his second term stumbles along, the president wi...

Regardless, of the preposterous hagiography of ObamaBorg and Democratic Partisans regarding Barack Obama (e.g., he is the risen embodiment of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King…I actually had one on a thread compare him to John Brown) -- Obama seems to govern as a fusion of Ronald Reagan (the empty rhetorical flourishes regarding the plight of working people, all as he serves the economic elite) and Richard Nixon (e.g., a proclivity to secret bombings and the abuse of power involving the IRS and his Justice Department). This is what blinkered partisanship, in combination with political duopoly, engenders: A breed of politicians, devoid of ideals and ethics, who enter the political realm, not to serve the public but to serve their own addiction to power i.e., the need for power as a palliative in an attempt to sate their own howling emptiness. But like any other addiction: The addiction is to MORE -- and MORE is never enough. Thus: The compulsive abuse of power.

Abraham Lincoln "The Republican Party that was founded to liberate the slaves, and that went on to support civil rights 100 years later, over a Democrat party then still entrenched in the South that often opposed civil rights, now finds 95% of African Americans voting against it in every election. It is not that the Democrat party has delivered for black America. What it has delivered is poverty perpetuated by the slavery of welfare, rather than economic growth and prosperity lifting up from poverty." Ronald Reagan "The Reagan recovery grew into a 25-year economic boom, from 1982 to 2007, what Art Laffer and Steve Moore rightly called in their book, The End of Prosperity, “the greatest period of wealth creation in the history of the planet…. [M]ore wealth was created in America in the twenty-five year boom than in the previous two hundred years.” The economic growth during the first seven years of the boom alone was equivalent to adding the entire economy of West Germany, the third largest in the wo ...

If your favorite U.S. Presidents are Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan,
A little month with a big impact . . . For February 23, 2013 POSITIVE PERSPECTIVE By Ron McClung For such a small month, February has many significant days. Valentine’s Day is one of the most notable, when lovers take the opportunity to express their affection through flowers, candy, hearts, and warm expressions. Presidents Day also occurs in February. Two of our most renowned chief executives were born this month – Abraham Lincoln on the 12th and George Washington on the 22nd. Two other presidents were born in February – William Henry Harrison on the 9th and Ronald Reagan on the 6th. Of course, Groundhog Day ushers in the month every year, arriving on the second day. Supposedly, if the groundhog sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of winter. Someone may have neglected to tell the groundhog that, shadow or not, it is about six more weeks until the beginning of spring around March 21. In our family, February is also significant as a birthday month. In fact, three members shared the same birth dat ...
Fact of the Day: 4 Presidents, George Washington, William Henry Harrison, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan all have February birthdays.
In honor of yesterday's national holiday, here are your presidential facts of the day; Abraham Lincoln had an awful, scratchy voice some say Lyndon B. Johnson would take guests at his ranch in Texas on drives around the grounds and purposefully crash the car in lakes or rivers and pretend the brakes were out to freak the passengers out. The kicker? It was a special car made to go on land and water George Washington never actually chopped down his father's cherry tree 8 of our 44 presidents have died in office, of those, 4 have been shot, 1 died of pneumonia, 1 of a stomach condition, 1 of an aneurism, and 1 died of a heart attack FDR was on a small medicinal dose of cocaine when he gave his "December 7th" speech before Congress George W. Bush wasn't born in Texas like many people think, but New Haven Connecticut William Howard Taft was so large that he got stuck in the bath tub and servants had to use butter to get him out In the 1940's, Ronald Reagan was a secret FBI informant who would pass on names of ...
Happy President's day tweeps! My 3 favorite Presidents are Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan. How bout you?
Presidents Day Quotes from the past: Abraham Lincoln - Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. Ronald Reagan - Where free unions & collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost. Ronald Reagan - We establish no religion in this country. We mandate no belief, nor will we ever. Church & state are & must remain separate. Teddy Roosevelt - I believe that there should be a very much heavier progressive tax on very large incomes, a tax which should increase in a very marked fashion for the gigantic incomes. Dwight D. Eisenhower - Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws & farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few ...
George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were sick, vicious slave owners...If you celebrate them or see them as great, you're just as sick.. Abraham Lincoln did a mass hanging of Native Americans on this day.. He was sick dehumanizing man.. I don't care what Steven Spielberg depicts in his movie.Today they're trying to include Ronald Reagan in Presidents Day celebration... Ronald Reagan stood in the way of dismantling Apartheid in South Africa... Its a *** shame President Obama evokes his name as someone great..
Professors rank President Obama 15th best president.A new poll of leading presidential scholars ranks Barack Obama as the 15th best president of the United States, just below Bill Clinton but ahead of Ronald Reagan. The Siena College poll, which surveyed 238 presidential scholars at U.S. colleges and universities, asked scholars to rate the nation’s 43 chief executives on 20 attributes ranging from legislative accomplishments to integrity and imagination. In the overall ranking, Obama rated two places below Clinton, who was 13th best, and three better than Reagan, who is ranked as the 18th best. Franklin D. Roosevelt again earned the top spot, as he has every time since the poll was first conducted in 1982. He and the Mount Rushmore presidents — Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson — have consistently been the top five presidents in the poll’s findings.
On President’s Day we honor the contributions of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as our greatest presidents. I add Ronald Reagan to that list. It is a national holiday. Our country has never been in need of another great president more than it is today. Everything that Washington fought for, Lincoln died for, and Reagan protected and preserved is under attack by the very person in the very office that we celebrate. There is no celebration for our current president, except within the circle of his fanatic followers and thoroughly deceived media. It will take a national spiritual awakening to provide the paradigm shift that we need for the future of this country to be properly represented by our past. America is dead as far as our Christian Heritage is concerned. We no longer have a Christian consensus. Although over 90% of the population believes in God, and 67% claim to embrace the Christian faith, according to the Barna Group of Ventura, California, only 17% of the population attends churc ...
Here are somethings that you may or may not know. While Barack Obama is our 44th president, there have actually been only 42 presidents: Grover Cleveland was elected for two nonconsecutive terms and is counted twice, as our 22nd and 24th president. Eight presidents were actually born British Subjects: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson and William Henry Harrison. Nine presidents never attended college: George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, Zachary Taylor, Millard Fillmore, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, Grover Cleveland and Harry Truman. Episcopalian is the most common religious affiliation among presidents, followed by Presbyterian. The oldest president inaugurated was Ronald Reagan (age 69); the youngest was John F. Kennedy (age 43). Theodore Roosevelt, however, was the youngest man to become president — he was 42 when he succeeded William Mckinley, who had been assassinated. The tallest president was Abraham ...
Okay, let's see if I boiled this down to the correct essentials. Putting aside anything religious for the moment, and mostly (but not always) emphasizing the English-speaking world, the most indispensable individuals whose lives and works are worth exploring are Plato, Aristotle, Baroque music, Mozart, Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Winston Churchill. Leaving aside Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher for the moment, who have I left out? Remember, anybody you mention has to be not just very good or even great, but the best of the best.

An Historical Investigation - Original Sin: Why the GOP Is and Will Continue To Be The Party of White People via The New Republic With Barack Obama sworn in for a second term—the first president in either party since Ronald Reagan to be elected twice with popular majorities—the GOP is in jeopardy, the gravest since 1964, of ceasing to be a national party. The civil rights pageantry of the inauguration— Abraham Lincoln's Bible and Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, Justice Sonia Sotomayor's swearing in of Joe Biden, Beyoncé's slinky glamor, the verses read by the *** Cuban poet Richard Blanco—seemed not just an assertion of Democratic solidarity, but also a reminder of the GOP's ever-narrowing identity and of how long it has been in the making. "Who needs Manhattan when we can get the electoral votes of eleven Southern states?" Kevin Phillips, the prophet of "the emerging Republican majority," asked in 1968, when he was piecing together Richard Nixon's electoral map. The eleven states, he meant, of the Ol ...
Since it is my birthday week, I thought I would brag a little bit about my birth sign which of course is Aquarius! Our company includes the prolific athletes like Michael Jordan, Hank Aaron, Wayne Gretzky and Jim Brown! We boldly list fantastic singers like Anita Baker, Natalie Cole, Neil Diamond, Brandy, Phil Collins and my main man Sam Cooke! Dare I forget to mention that Mozart himself was also an Aquarian! Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel because he insulted him and spread a vicious rumor which cost Aaron Burr a presidential bid. Aaron Burr was an Aquarian! Hm? Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan were two historical and course changing presidents! Lincoln ended slavery and won America's only Civil War; while Reagan restored American pride and ended our costly war with the Soviet Union and reuniting Germany to boot! " Mr. Gorbachev, tear this wall down! Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks and Angela Davis were all powerful activists and as women way ahead of their time! We boast fantastic writers ...
Abraham Lincoln- shot in the head by John Wilkes Booth (all conspirators found guilty and hung), Andrew Jackson-Richard Lawrence attemted to shoot him with two different pistols (both misfired) (Lawrence spent rest of his life in an insane asylum), Franklin Roosevelt-Giuseppe Zangara shot six times into crowd hoping to hit FDR (found guilty and executed by electric chair), Gerald Ford-Lynette Fromme and Sara Jane Moore attemted to shoot Ford at different times (both women sentenced to life in prison), Ronald Reagan-shot by John Hinckley, Jr. (sentenced to life in a mental institution) The steady average government-sanctioned of abortions in America for the past 6 years (1.2 Million) Question-What makes these presidents more important than 1.2 Million of God's little angels?
Did you know (about Tecumseh's Curse): - There is a legend that a death curse from a Native American Indian afflicts American Presidents elected in years divisible by twenty. The origins for this stem from the fact that with one exception, since 1840 to 1999, Presidents who have been elected in such years have died of natural causes or have been killed while serving their terms. The one exception, Ronald Reagan, came within inches of death when an assassin shot him. The following presidents died from the "Curse:" William Henry Harrison - elected in 1840. died aged 68 after giving his inaugural address on a cold, drizzly day without wearing a coat. Harrison spoke for nearly two hours, became ill, and died from pneumonia in April 1841, exactly one month later. Abraham Lincoln - elected in 1860, was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth in 1865 shortly after being re-elected for a second term in office. James A. Garfield - elected in 1880. In July 1881, he was shot from behind in a Washington waiting room - ...
LEARN ABOUT AQUARIUS The original, inventive thinking of an Aquarius can solve any problem in an original way, and if any of the other signs get stranded on a desert island, they'd want an Aquarian with them. Those with an Aquarius horoscope are deeply loyal and supportive friends, who choose friends for their inner qualities and not for their social standing. The trouble is that Aquarians have barely any respect for authority. They flout it on every occasion and get a reputation for being anarchic and eccentric. Make sure you know the value of some established traditions, because things get ugly when you throw the baby out with the bathwater. Aquarius Celebrities: Charles Darwin, Clark Gable, James Dean, Oprah Winfrey, John Travolta, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Ronald Reagan, Paul Newman, Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln
Can you imagine: Abraham Lincoln or George Washington, Ronald Reagan or John Adams.inviting Lady GaGa to perform at their inauguration ball?!? Lady GaGa gets a warm welcome and Louie Giglio gets the cold shoulder? Is our slide toward Sodom and Gomorrah complete? This clearly confirms that our culture has been successfully programmed to accept immoral behavior and reject or ignore Christianity. Democrats cut God out of their platform last year, in a more subtle way, they are cutting God out of the presidential inauguration. It is not possible to simultaneously love immorality and the holiness of God. Jesus clearly taught "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other..." (Matthew 6:24) Choose this day whom you will serve.as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord Jesus Christ! Is it not crystal clear whom the liberal elites of Washington have chosen?
Presidents assassinated, all by Gunfire; James Garfield, William Mckinley, Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy. Attempted Assassinations of Presidents, all by gunfire; Andrew Jackson , Theodor Roosevelt-wounded, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Gerald Ford -twice, Ronald Reagan- wounded. Security provided for Our President and their family as well as all ex Presidents is essential. Robert Kennedy, on the verge of being Nominated for President was also assassinated, by gunfire!
Tuesday - January 15, 2013 In the 20th century, only two presidents shaped new governing coalitions that outlasted them. They were the only two men to appear on five national tickets. The first was FDR, who rang down the curtain in 1932 on the seven decades of Republican hegemony since Abraham Lincoln that had seen only two Democrats in the White House. And Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson had made it only because of divisions inside the GOP. Franklin Roosevelt would win four terms, and his party would win the presidency in seven of nine elections between 1932 and 1968. Richard Nixon was the next craftsman of a governing coalition. While he won with only 43 percent in 1968, by 1972 he had cobbled together a New Majority that would give the GOP four victories in five elections between 1972 and 1988. In two of those victories, Nixon and Ronald Reagan would roll up 49-state landslides. Roosevelt and Nixon both employed the politics of conflict and confrontation, not conciliation, to smash the old coalitio ...

Obama 4th Best President - Ever I just read that after fewer than four years in office, Obama has been rated the fourth best president ever. Of all our past presidents: Ronald Reagan, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and 6 others tied for first; 15 tied for second; 18 others tied for third; and Obama came in fourth.
In about two month or so this page has gained over 110 friends!! it has been a slow crawl and that's ok. This post is to let you my FB friends know a little about me. The reason I built this page is because I come from the Peoples republic of Massachusetts and I'm a conservative leaning libertarian. My lifelong heroes are John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley amoung others. I believe in the constitution as written and I believe that without the first two amendments all the rest of the amendments and the US citizens become powerless! Because I'm from Massachusetts most of my friends are liberals. Back to why I started this page: I was sick and tired of my liberal friends on my other FB page loading me up with crap everytime I posted something from the conservative or libertarian point of view. I wanted to find people on FB that thought more in the way that I do and with this page I did. What I want on this page: I want Ideas, I want discussion, I want intelligent dialog, I want ...
Name a person or persons you think you would like to meet or would like to have met. List as many as you like, some of mine are Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Marilyn Monroe, Colonel Harland Sanders, Jim Varney; AKA Ernest P. Worrel, Davey Allison, Tom Landry, Ronald Reagan, Anthony Hopkins, Simon Baker. I know, weird huh?
"Knute Rockne, All American" is, arguably, "the" sports movie of all time, as well as "the" college-mystique flick that set the stage for a raft of others that didn't come anywhere near it. Ronald Reagan became so identified with the character he played in the film that George Gipp's nickname — the Gipper" — became more identified with Reagan than with Notre Dame. There's nothing wrong with that. It does, however, tend to dim or diminish Reagan's identification with another iconic figure in American history: Abraham Lincoln. Few people are aware that as early as 1974 Reagan was calling for an "Industrial Homestead Act" to do for the U.S. in the last quarter of the 20th century what Lincoln's 1862 Homestead Act did for the world in the latter half of the 19th century. We've renamed it the "Capital Homestead Act" to take into account not only industrial capital, but landed, commercial, and all other forms of capital as well. Details can be seen in the links in today's posting. BTW: it's just a coinc ...
As I have stated, I will be visiting from time to time as I continue my school work. Grover Norquist and the Republican Party cannot accept the facts that “WE…” the American people reject their tax positions. Even, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan signed bills raising taxes. As one of the Founding Fathers stated, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter thestate of facts and evidence.”— John Adams, December 1770
Ronald Reagan - January 20, 1981 Directly in front of me, the monument to a monumental man: George Washington, Father of Our Country. A man of humility who came to greatness reluctantly. He led America out of revolutionary victory into infant nationhood. Off to one side, the stately memorial to Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration of Independence flames with his eloquence. And then beyond the Reflecting Pool the dignified columns of the Lincoln Memorial. Whoever would understand in his heart the meaning of America will find it in the life of Abraham Lincoln. Beyond those monuments to heroism is the Potomac River, and on the far shore the sloping hills of Arlington National Cemetery with its row on row of simple white markers bearing crosses or stars of David. They add up to only a tiny fraction of the price that has been paid for our freedom. Each one of those markers is a monument to the kind of hero I spoke of earlier. Their lives ended in places called Belleau Wood, the Argonne, Omaha Beach, Salerno and h ...

I'm not really a fan of Obama these days nor am I a Democrat. However, I just can't stay silent anymore. The ones who are criticizing Obama for taking credit in Bin Laden's death need to recognize the cold, hard truth: Like any military leader in any branch of the Armed Services, the Commander-in-Chief, regardless of any political position, is responsible for the success or failure of a military operation. The military does what the President says, when he says it, and how he says it in no uncertain terms. It's tradition for the President to receive at least a measure of credit for military missions. Abraham Lincoln is credited in part for the Union victory in the Civil War. Woodrow Wilson's involving the US in WWI in 1917 was instrumental in ending the war quickly and forcing the Germans to surrender. Likewise, FDR's leadership in WWII helped lead the Allies to victory even if he didn't live to see it. Even Republicans can argue that Ronald Reagan's negotiation and political skills helped end the Cold Wa ...
On November 18, 1889, the Navy launched the battleship USS Maine at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. But the ship’s beginning would turn out to be not nearly as famous as its ending— an explosion that sent it to the bottom of Havana’s harbor in 1898, triggering the Spanish-American War and giving rise to the slogan, “Remember the Maine!” The Maine was one of several battleships named after states. Over time, the Navy has developed a system (sometimes ignored) for naming vessels. Aircraft carriers are often named for great Americans, such as the Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. Amphibious assault ships are named for famous Navy ships, such as the Wasp and Essex. Guided missile cruisers are usually named for famous battles, such as the Ticonderoga and Gettysburg. Destroyers are named for naval leaders and heroes, such as the Farragut and John Paul Jones. Frigates are named for heroes and distinguished members of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, such as the Robert G. Bradley and John L. Hall. ...
Our Founding Fathers were against a national Bank. Andrew Jackson in 1832 withdrew federal deposits as part of his plan to kill the bank charter in 1836. Jackson survived an assassination attempt in 1834. Abraham Lincoln and Russian Czar Alexander II blocked National banks from taking hold. Both were assassinated. In 1881 James Garfield became president and he was dedicated to restoring the right of the federal government to issue money like Lincoln did in the Civil War and he was also assassinated. Years later John F. Kennedy opposed a private national bank and was assassinated in 1963. Ronald Reagan opposed a private national Bank and in 1981 an attempt was made to assassinate him. Coincidental, huh?
ok, my favorite (in no particular order): Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln. Who are yours?
Good morning friends hope you had a good night.am fine so was my night.well i started my Sunday at work & i will end my day in church.so let me share with you some of the inspiring things about the U.S.presidential history in brief. In his victory speech in Chicago along with his wife Michelle Obama & two daughters Sasha & Malia,Mr Obama promised to follow his predecessors dream of giving the U.S.the BEST.Mr Obama is 44th U.S.president & the 14th president who has been re-elected to the White House.Mr Obama is also considered to be the most handsome U.S president.others say Bill Clinton, president JF Kennedy while others say Abraham Lincoln.BELOW IS A LIST U.S.PRESIDENT WHO WERE ALSO RE-ELECTED TO White House.George Washington,Thomas Jefferson,James Madison,Andrew Jackson,Abraham Lincoln,Ulysses S Grant,William McKinney,Woodrow Wilson,Franklin Roosevelt,Henry s.Truman,Dwight d.Eisenhower,Richard nick son,Ronald Reagan,Bill Clinton,George Bush & the charismatic Barack Obama.it has also been noted that NEAR ...
If it were still Tue Nov 06 - Election Day in the United States...and I have some trivia.last week when I was at Wilsons Creek Battlefield in Missouri, one of their plaques outlining major events and dates in Missouri history said Abe Lincoln elected Nov 6, 1860. When I pointed that this year the election was also on Nov 6, the question arose. How many times has this occurred? So off to Google i went and have answers I insist on sharing with you !! Since 1860, America's Election Day has only happened 7 times. In 1860, Abraham Lincoln, in 1888 Benjamin Harrison, in 1900 Theodore Roosevelt, in 1928 Herbert Hoover, in 1956 Dwight D Eisenhower, in 1984 Ronald Reagan, and in 2012 Barack Obama. Anothe bit of trivia is that all except Obama were Republicans. Anyway, I took a scenic route from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon, and the road took me through a National Forest with magnificent stands of Ponderosa pine trees, their greeness broken up with clumps of birch trees, whose slighter trunks and white bark made m ...
Today Ronald Reagan’s “Shining City on the Hill” is a bit dimmer and harder to see. The people who JFK once implored to, “Ask not what your country can do for you, rather ask what you can do for your country” have demanded that the country do for them. The people who four years ago voted for “Hope and Change” have voted for no change and little hope. They were sold on a belief that those who have worked hard and acquired some degree of wealth did it by taking from those who did neither. They have been convinced that it is their right and the government’s duty to take from those that have more and give to those with less. In the aftermath of this stunning election the talking heads have begun to analyze what the Republican Party did wrong and what it needs to change in order to be successful. In all due respect, I for one refuse to let those who would, write the epitaph of the party of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan. The party ...
President Obama when you are walking the halls of the White House late at night, I wish you could hear the voices of the past saying, "The whole inspiration of our civilization springs from the teachings of Christ and the lessons of the prophets. To read the Bible for these fundamentals is a necessity of American Life."-Herbert Hoover " A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education."-Theodore Roosevelt " When you have read the Bible, you know it is the word of God, because it is the key to your heart, your happiness, and your own duty."-Woodrow Wilson "I believe the Bible is the best gift God has give to man. All the good of the Savior of the world is communicated to us through the Book."-Abraham Lincoln " The Bible is the Rock on which the Republic rest"- Andrew Jackson "Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face."- Ronald Reagan (Thank you Chris Bitterman for an awesome sermon)
THAT history is definitely on Mitt Romney’s side in the Nov. 6 election — Republicans have won every presidential election held on that date since Election Day was set by Congress. Beginning in 1792, states had a range of dates when they could conduct presidential elections. Then in 1845, Congress standardized the date for the election so it would always be held on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Aku Si Pangetznce then, Election Day has fallen on Nov. 6 six times. The results: In 1860, Abraham Lincoln defeated Democrat Stephen Douglas. In 1888, Benjamin Harrison beat Grover Cleveland. In 1900, William Mckinley triumphed over William Jennings Bryan. In 1928, Herbert Hoover beat Al Smith. In 1956, Dwight Eisenhower was victorious over Adlai Stevenson. And in 1984, Ronald Reagan beat Walter Mondale.
American History Parade 1862 Frustrated by Union troops’ lack of success, Abraham Lincoln removes George McClellan from command of the Army of the Potomac. 1889 Wyoming citizens approve the first state constitution granting full voting rights to women. 1912 Woodrow Wilson defeats incumbent William Howard Taft and former president Theodore Roosevelt to become the twenty-eighth U.S. president. 1966 Everett Alvarez begins month 28 of what will eventually be 102 months as a POW in North Vietnam. 1994 Former President Ronald Reagan announces that he has Alzheimer’s disease.
CAN EVANGELICALS VOTE FOR A MORMON?? By Franklin Graham This question has stirred much debate in this election year. Historically Christians have voted for candidates of different faiths, including Mormons, based on how they live their lives and how committed they are to upholding the U.S. Constitution. Remember, government is one of three institutions God ordained (the others being the church and the family), and we are not electing a pastor-in-chief, but a commander-in-chief. Certainly, many evangelicals voted for Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter even though then-President Carter was undeniably more evangelical than Gov. Reagan was. These voters were choosing Reagan for his competence and proposed policies, not his theology. George Washington was Episcopalian; Abraham Lincoln had no religious affiliation while he was president; John Kennedy was Catholic, and Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were longtime Southern Baptists. Over a period of 223 years people of many different faiths, including Mormons, from ...
Modern conservatives look to a variety of historical figures for guidance as they confront progressive liberalism. Some are from the 1700’s and 1800’s, including Edmund Burke, the Founders, and Abraham Lincoln. Others, like Russell Kirk, F.A. Hayek, Milton Friedman, and Ronald Reagan, are from the...
vAttention all true Republicans...who mold themselves in the cloth of Abraham Lincoln,,Dwight D. Eisenhower, and ...yes Ronald Reagan. It's time to step up to the plate and take one for the Gipper. I respectfully suggest that the best way for Republicans to save the Republican Party is either sitting out this election or voting for President Obama and the Democratic or Idependent candidates. Absurd ? A joke? Hardly! The Republican Party in the last five years has been hijacked by the funding of the Koch Brother's working bees AKA the Tea Party, anonymous Super Pacs, and Republican elected officals & candidates signing of their souls away to the no tax pledge drive of Grover Norquist. They have bullied & intimidated their way in myopic, narrow mindedness, seeking obstructionism over common ground and the betterment of our country, let alone their own party. Such policies have driven out moderate, and reasonable Republicans like Maine Senator Olympia Snowe and Ohio Congressman Steve Latourette. Neither Pres ...
After president Abraham Lincoln, and John F. Kennedy. President Ronald Reagan was not only a people president but he was feared throughout the world. I was proud to serve under his administration, as he is, and was the top three presidents throughout 20th and 21st century!
Ask Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and many others if they would of let one of there Ambassadors being assassinated if they would do something about it, and would they withhold facts? The Presidency has been Disgraced and Stained by a Traitor named Barak Obama!
It drives me nuts to see the Grand Old Party of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan taken over by the extreme rightwing social conservatives who have ridiculous social positions and make such ugly, debasing statements about women. The Republican Party is shrinking fast and must be rescued by the few remaining mainstream, big thinkers in the party.
"In his latest Rewrite segment, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell suggested Senator Al Franken could have planted the seed “for the best line of the night” in the 2004 book, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right. O’Donnell pointed to a key section in Franken’s piece, a graph comparing the Defense budgets of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan: Horses. In 1864 President Lincoln requested 188,718 new horses. And 120 years later, President Reagan – to his eternal shame – requested only 3. “What Mitt Romney is doing now is straight out of the George W. Bush campaign and the Ronald Reagan campaign,” said O’Donnell. “The Franken book reminds us that Republicans running against a Democratic White House always attack the military.”
Here is every Americans chance to walk in the foot steps of George Washington, Abigail Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Susan B. Anthony, Abraham Lincoln, Mary Bowser, Ronald Reagan, Sally Ride and many others many you know...no excuses.
I am voting for a president, not a pastor. I copied this from my friend James Edwin Cossey with his permission: Romney is a Mormon. No, I'm not happy about that, but think about this: One of America's all-time greatest presidents (in my opinion), Ronald Reagan belonged to no church at all until he joined Bel Air Presbyterian---AFTER he left the White House. Only nine presidents from the past have been Evangelicals in the strictest sense of the word: Harding, Truman, Carter, and Clinton were Baptists. McKi nley, Polk, and George W. Bush were Methodists. James Garfield and Lyndon Johnson were Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, Ulysses S. Grant, and Rutherford B. Hays...and now Barack Obama... all claimed no religious affiliation at all. Herbert Hoover and Richard Nixon were Quakers, who believe that God is "a light within" each of us and question the existence of Satan. John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Millard Fillmore, and William H. Taft were Unitarians ...
Obama vs. Romney The upcoming U.S. presidential election has everyone in the world awaiting the inevitable political and economic meltdown, if Mitt Romney should defeat Barack Obama on Tuesday November 6, to become the 45th President of the United States. Many people view a Romney presidency as a disaster, a repeat of George W. Bush. In his defence, Romney is not George W. Bush. However, he is no Ronald Reagan either. The Romney campaign slogan, “Are you better-off than you were four years ago?” was the question posed by Ronald Reagan to the American people during his election campaign to defeat incumbent Jimmy Carter in 1980. Abraham Lincoln first used the slogan in 1864. In my view, the world and in particular the United States are better-off with Barack Obama as president than they were with George W. Bush, or might have been with John Mccain. Obama’s healthcare initiative alone, better known as Obamacare, will benefit millions of Americans, specifically young people and seniors. At this moment i ...
We need George Washington and John Adams and Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan back.
To lack critical thinking is a sure loss.I would want to believe that Romney would want to be as good as Franklin D Roosevelt,Abraham Lincoln,Ronald Reagan(my personal favorite),John F Kennedy,Harry S Truman etc,but what these guys had was some good advisers, besides the Populist Movement ended decades ago,so as a libertarian, that wouldn't be in the best interest of the country. Hmm .
This is a debate? I wonder what Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, J.F.K and Ronald Reagan would have to say to these men and to our nation right now?
I love Obama's new add with Morgan Freeman narrating. "Every president faces challenges, but few have faced so many." Really, few? Lets see, how about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Ronald Reagan, all who faced hard challenges, and led. It takes character and will, not politics.
People wake up! You are responsible for your own success ! here are some examples ! 1) Abraham Lincoln; 2) Ronald Reagan 3) William Clinton 4) Tiger woods 5) Kobe Bryant 6) Ray Charles 7)John Kennedy 8)Saquel O'Neal 9) Barack Obama 10) Bill Cosby 11) Taylor Hicks 12) Tyler Perry 13) Arthur Hailey 14) Billy Crystal 15) Montel Williams 16) Lionel Richie 17) Yanni 18) Dolly Parton 19) Queen Latifah 20) Opra 21) Meryl Streep ;-) You ca do any thing you want and be a sucess if you are willing to work hard for it! the only on stopping you is You! Think quit blameing others for your short comeings!
An intriguing pattern has emerged over the last 150 years: When the U.S. Presidential election is held on November 6th the Republican candidate always wins. In 1860, the first year the presidential election fell on November 6th, Abraham Lincoln, a Republican, was elected to office. The next time the election was held on the 6th of November, Benjamin Harrison, also Republican, won. On November 6th, 1900, Republican William Mckinley defeated William Jennings Bryan. In 1928, Herbert Hoover, a Republican, won on the 6th. In 1956, on November 6th, Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Democrat Adlai Stevenson to be re-elected. And Republican incumbent Ronald Reagan defeated Democrat Walter Mondale on November 6, 1984. The trend doesn't look good for Democrat Barack Obama heading into this year's election. But all might not be lost for this country's Democrats. Just last week OutFront posted a blog about how this year's Oscar results guaranteed an Obama win. Or maybe, despite all of these strange coincidences, it might ...
Lyndon Johnson- If one morning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the head lines that afternoon would read: President Can't Swim. Abraham Lincoln said regarding an attorney - He can compress the most words into the smallest ideas I ever met. Jimmy Carter - "My esteem in this country has substantially improved. It is nice that now when people wave at me, they use all fingers. Bill Clinton - "I don't know whether the White House is the finest public housing or the crown jewel of the American penal system." Teddy Roosevelt - When they call the roll in the Senate, the senators do not know whether to answer "present" or "not guilty". George W. Bush - "These stories about my intellectual capacity really gets under my skin. You know, for a while I think my staff believed it. There on my schedule - first thing every morning - it said Intelligence Briefing." A little crude but funny nevertheless - During a state visit to Great Britain it is purportedly that Ronald Reagan went horseback ...
Tonight Mitt Romney could give the most effective debate performance since Ronald Reagan out debated President Carter, or even since Abraham Lincoln showed up Stephen Douglas, and Mitt Romney will still lose the post debate swing state polls. Why? Because the voter samples that the media pollsters w...
Can we all just put aside the debate for a second and just think of all the sexy presidents we've had: Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln's beard, and last but not least Richard Nixon's nose. Oh, and a good amount of their voices.
food for thought: A people... who are possessed of the spirit of commerce, who see and who will pursue their advantages may achieve almost anything. George Washington "It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government." Thomas Paine "We the People are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts--not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution." Abraham Lincoln "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." Thomas Jefferson to Charles Yancey, 1816 "Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master." Dwight D. Eisenhower I don't believe in a government that protects us from ourselves. Ronald Reagan AND THE WINNER IS: Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. Ronald Reagan

It deserves to die- it is certainly not the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln or even Ronald Reagan. One only has to look at the conventions to see why it is doomed. The Democratic Convention looks like America, whereas the Republican Convention was a bunch of old White People. At some point in the future, Texas will become a battleground or even a blue state as the percentage of Latino voters increases, and without it, the Republicans cannot win the Electoral College. Just look at a Presidential vote by county map of Texas. Although Texas is a red state, the counties south of San Antonio are solid blue.
I was a Kennedy Legacy democrat in the 70s and 80s, but admired Ronald Reagan and what he did for the country. But when Slick Willy stated that oral sex was not sex- no one bought it, but the fact everyone thought it was cool.that went against anything I was ever taught by my parents. They were lifelong democrats, but I bet they would have been ashamed. Integrity, Ethics. I never possessed those facets of character until I became part of an organization that lived and died, literally, by them. I am not perfect now, but better than I was the day before I went to the public library in Fayetteville, NC and changed my political affiliation to the party of Abraham Lincoln. Pretty good role model. I am proud to be a republican. Read this week's USA Today, the only states showing an improvement in their economies are the red (republican). The liberal press wrote it, it must be true.

Abraham Lincoln, a Republican president, issued the Emancipation Proclamation that declared forever free those slaves within the Confederacy; today more than 95% of African Americans vote Democrat. Ronald Reagan, a Republican president, signed into law onNovember 6, 1986 the Immigration Reform and Control Act; the law granted amnesty to nearly 3 million illegal immigrants; today more than 65% of latinos vote Democrat. Consider that the first popularly elected African-American senator was a Republican, Ed Brooke from Massachusetts, in 1966. Likewise the first Asian-American senator, Hawaii’s Hiram Fong, who was first elected in the Eisenhower era. The first Native-American senator, Charles Curtis—who went on to be Herbert Hoover’s Vice President. The first Hispanic senator, Octaviano Larrazolo, also was a Republican and the first woman popularly elected to the Senate, Maine’s Margaret Chase Smith was a Republican as well. Our Government has worked for over 200 years from George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to Theodore Roosevelt to Jimmy Carter to Ronald Reagan to George Bush.and now to Barack Obama. Our Founding Fathers designed our Presidential terms in Government to be a four year term, with a possible additional 4 year term, if doing a good job. We must evaluate why our country is so divided. I myself pray for our Liberal ways to swing back to the way our country was when my parents and their grandparents were growing up. When Social Security wasn't broke and people had money and jobs. How did we get so far liberal and so far in debt? How did we swing so far out that we care of things that hold no value to benefit our country as the Nation she was Designed to be? I will pray for God to guide her to be a Godly Nation and stay true to the real America she was intended to be. I miss old America. All I know it scares my mother who is now 69 years old and still works everyday to survive and she is scared that Amer ...
(First a disclaimer: I've been a registered Republican for over two decades.) How can Mr. Romney express such callousness toward 47% of the unwashed masses who pay no income tax, when he hasn't exactly been forthcoming with his tax records. For all we know, he was a member of that 47% prior to 2010. I even ask to see credentials for a plumber before I hire him. I certainly feel I have the right to be informed about a presidential candidate's finances. I would have trouble supporting Abraham Lincoln or John Kennedy if they were as secretive with their tax records. George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Ronald Reagan all released 6 or more years of records.
A letter to President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney: I have no doubt that you both love America. You have clear and very different visions about how to make us a better country with more jobs, a better economy and a more effective foreign policy. I don’t believe either of you has, as both sides have claimed, a secret agenda. You are both good, sincere Americans, dedicated to serving this great country. Yeah, there’s a “but.” From what you have both demonstrated so far, neither of you is a real leader. You are both fine managers and administrators, but neither of you has shown the straight ahead vision necessary to lead a country as large and diverse as The United States of America. Polls and public opinion, while important barometers of public sentiment, are not a substitute for the gut instincts of a real leader. Examples of Presidential Leadership include the first term of Ronald Reagan, the war years of Franklin Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln and even the troubled Presidency of Harry Tru ...
To all those whom will vote and believe that democracy requires a democratic vote, I hope u realize that all those who made this country great, who you might believe to be democrats, were all republican. George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and so many of the leaders that led this country to world excellence are all Republican!!! Democrats? Jimmy Carter, John F Kennedy (bay of pigs? what did that solve, but total despair to a country that can't defend itself, secluded to its on demise!) Oh yes, the Bill Clinton, the man that saved us from all!!! I will not even begin to address that behemoth because he might just put me under the dais! And of course the new savior Barrack Obama who all that tells are half truths and if you vote for him now he will give you a truth tomorrow. He's surely the way to go.Not!!! Vote republican where your sweat and hard work always pays off!!
The Republican Party is not the party of Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower, Ricard Nixon or arguably, Ronald Reagan. It has morphed into some evil entity that even Richard Nixon would shudder.
Below is an example of an Urban Legend that's been around longer than the Internet. The aphorisms have been widely attributed to Abraham Lincoln for at least 70 years, although they were actually written by a Presbyterian minister named William Boetcker (1873-1962). Boetcker was considerably more conservative than Lincoln, as well as considerably less well-known. A more well-known conservative, Ronald Reagan, erroneously attributed four of these adages to Lincoln in his 1992 speech to the Republican National Convention. Had Lincoln still been living he might have said, "There you go again!"
I have now listened to all of the important speeches from both the Democrat & Republican National Conventions... and I am left wondering... Am I the only one who noticed that the Democrats referenced and/or outright quoted (with relevance & positivity) many of the great Republican leaders (Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, etc.) & the Republicans did little if any of the same?
Here are some famous quotes that support and summarize my beliefs and opinons: "Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country."- Theodore Roosevelt. "Governments first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives."-Ronald Reagan. "Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States."-Ronald Reagan. "Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties."-Abraham Lincoln
Okay, I know y'all are all just dying to know what I think about the 2012 DNC. Lemme say this. Mr. Obama owes a lot of thanks this week to two Republicans. Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. Mr Lincoln is his model, his compass. Mr. Reagan is his inspiration. This was the 1980 Republican Convention all over again. Mr. Reagans theme? 'Morning in America." Reagan restored a sense of light after a dark time in our lives. He told us, yes, it's been bad, but it's morning now. He said I know it's been tough, but it's always darkest before dawn. Made in America was pure Reagan. I am more proud than ever. My President is not a partisan, he is an organizer, calling us all to the streets to fight back against the man. I'm in. :-) Vote your best interest and you'll be voting for Obama...c'mon y'all, you know you want to. :-) Blessings
I'd rather have Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan or Theodore Roosevelt as president again.or even Slick Willy.our current president *** *** and so does the number one contender.
PerfectMatch - Fall In Love Today
Just took a personality assessment.it appears that I share a personality type with, Andy Griffith, Peyton Manning, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, Tony Blair (former Prime Minister of England), Pope John Paul II, and King David of Israel.I'm thinking maybe I should be running for President.
Clinton Speech last night: In Bill' confusing speech he accuses the republicans of conspiracies like the new voter ID laws is for Everyone (not just minorities) it is a repulsive Lie to suggest otherwise . The speech was composed of accusations against the republicans that were clearly unfounded (like the new welfare executive order this President did, Rewriting the Economy , Rewriting History, etc , etc.).. Bill Clinton was one democrat that originally proposed the Nationalized Health Bill , but since it was so unpopular back in the 1990s (he dropped it) . Many suggest the historic nature of this President was Exploited to pass the leftist control health & fianace bills 2010. The Republicans are the go to party for Individual Freedom (like Republican Abraham Lincoln & Ronald Reagan (who quoted Abe Lincoln in his speeches). The Democrats are the go to party of Collective Control (like Democrats W.WIlson to Jimmy Carter).
Abraham Lincoln must be looking down from heaven and weeping when he sees what the Republican Party has become. It is a party that supported segregation for decades, that was against the Brown vs Board of Education Supreme Court decision of 1954, and is a party that has had no problem with voter intimidation and suppression in the South and throughout the country. It is a party that has long opposed affirmative action and for years opposed laws that made discrimination in housing, credit, and the work place illegal. Richard Nixon had his “southern strategy” to win the election by scaring white voters in the South. Ronald Reagan campaigned against “welfare queens” and was adamantly against making Martin Luther King’s birthday a federal holiday. George H. Bush ran the infamous Willie Horton ad to scare white voters. Mitt Romney and his running mate falsely accuse Barack Obama of removing the work requirement in the welfare law. The Republicans do whatever they can to divide White against Black and ...
The party of Abraham Lincoln, the abolition movement, Frederick Douglas, Dr. Martin Luther King, and Ronald Reagan.
Famous Republicans include Abraham Lincoln, who helped end slavery, Martin Luther King, who died for equality, and Ronald Reagan, noted by both parties as one of the best Presidents in history. Famous Democrats include Senator Robert Byrd, at one time a KKK recruiter, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Who has spoken so falsely she makes the truth sound like a lie, Bill Maher, head athiest, and Joe Biden, court jester. Who is better for this country? You decide.
The speech Treasurer Dan Rutherford, Chair of the Illinois delegation, gave during the roll call that resulted in the official nomination by Republicans of Romney for President: “Thank you. I’m Dan Rutherford and I’m the elected Republican Treasurer of the State of Illinois. We’re the home of Abraham Lincoln; we’re the birthplace of Ronald Reagan. I want all of you to think about January 20, 2013. You’re going to be watching the television sets and it’s going to be a cold, bitter winter day in Illinois. And about 11 o’clock central time you’re going to see the Supreme Court justice of the United States walking out. You’re going to see Mitt and Ann Romney walking out. He’s going to raise his right hand and become the next leader of the free world. And shortly after that a Marine helicopter is going to land at the capitol and lift out of Washington D.C. Michelle and Barack Obama. We’re going to bring them back. And we’re the state of the soon to be past President of the Un ...
I hope the mystery speaker at the Republican Convention is either Abraham Lincoln or Ronald Reagan...
Heading to the great state of Illinois where some of our great leaders are from or have resided.Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Ronald Reagan.did I miss one? Wait I said great leaders so I am good!
With all the advance in medical science today. Couldn't we just take the DNA of the following 10 former presidents and make a leader. 1.George Washington 2.Thomas Jefferson 3.Abraham Lincoln 4.John F Kennedy 5.Harry Truman 6.Franklin D. Roosevelt 7.Teddy Roosevelt 8.Ronald Reagan 9.Woodrow Wilson 10. Dwight D. Eisenhower
finds it hilarious that these modern day Republicans have chosen Ronald Reagan as their hero and not Abraham Lincoln or John C. Fremont or Ulysses S. Grant. Oh wait, those last 3 guys actually cared about people! Being a US History otaku has made me realize just how far the Republicans have fallen. Hmmm, maybe it ain't so hilarious after all...
Well, it's finally happened. Today, I switched political parties and became a Republican. I know, for many of you it was hard to believe I was a Democrat. It used to be OK. It was the party of my family in West Virginia, a fiscal conservative and social moderate group. A little different from most Democrats anyway. But not now. OMG! What a bunch of NAZIs. I don't know where these America hate people came from, but they are scary. No more. I'm with the Republic. The founding party of anti-slavery, Abraham Lincoln & Martin Luther King and Ronald Reagan. You bet!

Ronald Reagan said in 1983, " "Two visions of the world remain locked in dispute. The first believes all men are created equal by a loving God who has blessed us with freedom. Abraham Lincoln spoke for us: 'No man,' he said, 'is good enough to govern another without the other's consent.' The second vision believes that religion is opium for the masses. It believes that eternal principles like truth, liberty, and democracy have no meaning beyond the whim of the state. And Lenin spoke for them: 'It is true, that liberty is precious,' he said, 'so precious that it must be rationed.' "Well I'll take Lincoln's version over Lenin's, and so will citizens of the world if they're given free choice. ... With faith as our guide, we can muster the wisdom and will to protect the deepest treasures of the human spirit - the freedom to build a better life in our time and the promise of life everlasting in his kingdom." Reagan's battle to defeat communism was completed in 1989 with the fall of the Berlin Wall, howev ...
Incase ya'll didn't know, YES I GOT TO MEET Glenn Beck!!! He is tall with a big face. Scruffy. The rebroadcast of this past Saturday will be aired on Christian TV (internet). It is AMAZING. You think Ronald Reagan could give a good speech, Glenn is better. I urge you to see it with your family. He had so much history on that stage including Abraham Lincoln's desk. An exact copy of the Liberty Bell. Billy Graham was suppose to be there but was too ill to come. It is so uplifting and positive it would be a shame to not see this. It will make you FEEL GOOD. REALLY GOOD.
“Here are some things done on American soil in the name of Christianity. The Ku Klux Klan burned down black churches, raped women, murdered civil rights workers, murdered children, and terrorized communities for over a century. The Neo- Nazi’s all acted and continues to act in the name of White Christian Supremacy. The army of god fatally attacks abortion clinics and doctors across the country. The Covenent, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord target the local police and federal agents. The Federal buliding in Oklahoma City. The attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan and the successful assassinations of Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy, John Lenin and Abraham Lincoln- All perpetrated by Christians. We weren’t attacked by Muslims. We were attacked by sociopaths.” -Will Mcavoy (The Newsroom)
Guns! what a wonderful addition to americana, consider the following. there are politicians claiming that if there had been someone in the movie theater with a gun, they could have stopped the shooting. what a bunch of crap. consider these facts: Ronald Reagan: surrounded by secret service agents James Brady: same thing John, and Robert Kennedy: same Abraham Lincoln: same Anwar Sadat: military surrounded him the Pope: his guards couldn't do anything Benazir Bhutto: surrounded by military George Wallace, Gabbie Giffords. The University of Virginia, Columbine and the young man in florida. In addition think about all the kids that die in the cities whose names no one will ever know. You gun freaks care more about owning a gun rather than what that possession means to the american fabric. Cowboys and indians are games to be played as children. Protecting america is for adults. Your arguement is specious and carries no merit, so flush it. Terrorists only have to be right once. We have to disarm unne ...
Throughout American history, U.S. presidents have delivered some of the world’s most memorable and motivational speeches. Here are inspiring excerpts from 10 of our favorites by Abraham Lincoln, Lyndon Johnson, John F. Kennedy, Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and Franklin Roosevelt.
"95% of quotes on the internet are falsely attributed to dead presidents." -Abraham Lincoln and/or George Washington...and maybe even Ronald Reagan or Teddy Roosevelt...Let's not forget, perhaps, JFK

Poll: Obama 2nd worst US president after Bush Thu Jul 5, 2012 5:58PM GMT Share Share | Email | Print U.S. President Barack Obama In a poll conducted by Newsweek/The Beast, likely voters said Barack Obama is the second worst president in American history, coming in behind Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. George W. Bush came in last place, the Weekly Standard reported Tuesday. Likely voters were asked to list the two best and the two worst presidents in American history. Abraham Lincoln came in first place, while Ronald Reagan placed second. Franklin D. Roosevelt came in third, followed by John F. Kennedy and George Washington, who tied with Bill Clinton for fifth place. Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower finished the list of the top ten.
People republicans stand by: Ronald Reagan (tripled the deficit), George W. Bush (doubled the deficit), Mitt Romney (pioneered outsourcing of American jobs). People republicans hate: Bill Clinton (nearly eliminated the deficit, balanced the budget), Theodore Roosevelt (wanted a universal healthcare package, severely restricted corporate power, was ostracized by the Republican Party and had to create his own party to run for president), Abraham Lincoln (kept the union intact, forced to run as a third party candidate for his reelection and won anyways).
If the new film "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" is a success (and stranger things have happenned), Hollywood is already planning followups, including: "George Washington, Zombie Slayer," "Teddy Roosevelt, Werewolf Wrangler," and (sure to be the most popular) "Ronald Reagan, Commie Basher."
So, Abraham Lincoln was a Vampire Hunter? Perhaps in sequels we'll learn Teddy Roosevelt hunted werewolves and Ronald Reagan was a mummy.
Beyond the multiple repeats coming from President Teleprompter, is the pathetic attempt to link himself to Republican presidents Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan – and even Richard Nixon. Ironic that toward this video’s conclusion, Obama is seen repeating the word Alzheimer’s…
Dear Friends, "My philosophy of life is that if we make up our mind what we are going to make of our lives, then work hard toward that goal, we never lose - somehow we win out." Ronald Reagan "It is not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left." Hubert Humphrey "You have to believe in yourself, that's the secret. Even when I was in the orphanage, when I was roaming the street trying to find enough to eat, even then I thought of myself as the greatest actor in the world." Charlie Chaplin "Decide where you are going and how you are to get there. Then make a start from where you now stand." Napoleon Hill "Fantasies are more than substitutes for unpleasant reality; they are also dress rehearsals, plans. All acts performed in the world begin in the imagination." "Reagan's Legacy Often Misunderstood", by Lloyd Holmberg. Ronald Reagan is often presented as one of our greatest presidents. People in a recent poll ranked him above Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, and the Republican- controlled Legislature in Wisconsin even found room in the recently passed budget bill for a provision to establish a Ronald Reagan Day. But how does that fit with the prevailing ideal of an executive’s role in balancing a budget? Reagan never balanced the federal budget in all his years in office. The national deficit actually tripled (to $2.7 trillion) and unemployment surged to 10.8 percent in 1982. His budget director, David Stockman, later characterized Reaganomics as a sham and publicly confessed the budget was full of fraudulent data. But Reagan also cut taxes for the wealthy and initiated a widespread policy of deregulation. Was Reagan really a great president or just successfully marketed as one by those who benefited from his policies? I often wondered why former Republic ...
Before our great country conqured Britian and received her independence, those brave men and womwn who endured hardship to come to a new land have declared their dependence on God for strength. Many of our great documents that formed the direction our nation would follow, mentioned God or creator. Great speeches given by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Dr Martin Luther King, Ronald Reagan and many others all mention God's importance with mankind and our country. Our country was founded on the principles of God and the teaching of the Bible. It seems that today, there are those who want to push America away from God and become offended at the mere mention of His name. A Russian Communist leader once said that America would be destroyed from within without a shot being fired. Friends I am afraid we are almost to that point at this time. Let us pray as we celebrate the sacrifices and say thank you to those who have given their lives for our freedom , that our leaders turn ba ...
if.I could have a dinner party.and could only invite 16 people it would be 1. Jesus 2. Julius Caesar 3. Abraham Lincoln 4. Ulysses S. Grant 5. Robert E. Lee 6. Sitting Bull 7. Amelia Earhart 8. Crazy Horse 9. John F. Kennedy 10. Martin Luther King 11.Marilyn Monroe 12. Robert F. Kennedy 13.Richard Nixon 14. Nikita Khrushchev 15.Mikhail Gorbachev 16. Ronald Reagan .I think all would come without ego's, with humility, wisdom and it would be a *** of a great dinner party! and then I would have another party for all the ones I had to take off the list because i was limited to 16!

Okay, so my mom has a calendar that actually lists John F. Kennedy's birthday (May 29) as an official holiday (BTW, he'd be 95 this year). It is the only calendar I've ever seen that lists JFK's birthday as a holiday. Why?!!? Why do people think JFK was this awesome president?!!? He really wasn't that great!!! The man nearly began World War III, after all, with the Cuban Missile Crisis!!! Granted, he wasn't a poor president in that he had some good ideas re: poverty elimination and civil rights, but he was unable to pass any major legislation on these issues!!! And of course, there was his personal life, which I'm not even going to delve into here. Kennedy doesn't even crack most historians' "top ten" lists of great presidents, and he doesn't crack mine, and I consider myself a presidential buff!!! My ten greatest presidents are as follows: Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Harry Truman, Ronald Reagan, Woodrow Wilson ...
