Kejriwal and Vishwas spent Rs 1 cr in polls: They had set out with a message that they are the Aam Aadmi (Common Man), but a look at their expense chart in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election points otherwise. Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Kumar Vishwas splurged more than Rs one crore between them during the polls. From the very beginning I was telling that kejrivaal is not as honest as he pose himself in public. He never do what he speaks
Arvind Kejriwal,Ajay Rai spent more than Modi in Varnasi, source Indian Express. In Varanasi, cash-strapped Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal ran a spirited campaign against Narendra Modi and went on to spend as much as half a crore rupees, but, as is now history, lost to him by a huge margin of 3.71 lakh votes. With major parties having submitted their campaign expenditure in Varanasi, AAP and Congress have outdone Modi on this front. According to the details submitted to the district administration, Ajay Rai of the Congress splurged the most at Rs 54.45 lakh while AAP spent Rs 50.10 lakh and BJP Rs 37.62 lakh during the Lok Sabha polls for Varanasi seat. Monday was the last day of submitting election expenditure by the parties; the last day for submission is counted a month after the elections draw to a close.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal will by next week vacate the government accommodation that he had been occupying even after resigning as Delhi Chief Minister. Delhi Government had served a notice to Kejriwal asking him to pay a rent of Rs85,000 per month for the flat at C-II/23, Tilak Lane, in Central Delhi. However, Kejriwal had requested an extension on his stay, saying that he would move out after his daughter’s Class XII exams completed.
Just wanted to share that I have left my Job to support my party the Aam Aadmi Party and Our leader Arvind Kejriwal. Jai Hind
On June 5, Abhishek Shukla, 29, a former IT professional, met Arvind Kejriwal at his Tilak Lane home in Central Delhi. In 2011, Shukla had quit his job as an analyst with Religare to join the anti-corruption movement led by his hero. He became district secretary of the fledgling Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Noida chapter and was one of the thousands of volunteers who worked for the party during the Delhi Assembly and Lok Sabha Elections. Shattered by the magnitude of the defeat-AAP won just four of the 434 Lok Sabha seats it contested-and disappointed by the emergence of a powerful coterie around Kejriwal, he told the party chief he was quitting. The AAP leader, sitting in his lawn, his lips pursed and his stance defensive, was unmoved. "Where were you when we won 28 seats in Delhi?" he shot back. Shukla wanted to know why the party did not win in the remaining 42 Assembly seats. The discussion was inconclusive. The young party worker left, disillusioned. In his lowest moment, a defeated Kejriwal is making a d ...

Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal has accused the BJP of trying to woo his party's legislators and asked the party to dissolve the Delhi Assembly, which has been in suspended animation since his resignation as Chief Minister in February. In an exclusive interview with Aaj Tak, Kejriwal said people of Delhi were angry with the party but it was "positive anger, like the anger one feels at one's own people". He also called his decision to resign as Chief Minister "a political blunder." Here are edited excerpts of the interview: Q: What will happen to AAP? A: We are not doing anything for ourselves. History is a witness that when the BJP came to Parliament, they got two seats. The AAP, which is an one-year-old party, got four seats. In Delhi, our vote share has gone up by 5 per cent, i.e. from 29 to 34 per cent. And that too at a time when almost all parties, given the wave in the country, whatever the wave was, were wiped out-when the BSP was wiped out, the SP was wiped out, the JD-U was wiped out; in ...
Arvind Kejriwal (born 16 August 1968) is an Indian politician and former civil servant who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Delhi from 28 December 2013 to 14 February 2014. He is the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Kejriwal is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and worked for the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) as a Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.[1] He is known for his efforts to enact and implement the Right to Information Act (RTI) at the grassroots level and his role in drafting a proposed Jan Lokpal Bill. In 2006, Kejriwal was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership recognising his involvement in a grassroots movement (Parivartan) using right-to-information legislation in a campaign against corruption. The same year, after resigning from the IRS, he donated his Magsaysay Award money as a corpus fund to found the Public Cause Research Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Delhi diary: The book that Narendra Modi killed: Vijay Simha This summer has been hot in Delhi – politics and the weather – and it threatens to get hotter. Here is a slice of the latest happenings in the Capital, with a feud, a snub, fallout and search for friends. The battle-scarred Aam Aadmi Party could miss out the Haryana assembly election totally if it can’t settle the fight between Arvind Kejriwal and Yogendra Yadav. The Yadav camp is livid that Kejriwal projected himself as a national leader while Yadav struggled in Gurgaon. Yadav, in particular, was stunned by the brutal reality of Haryana politics where his stints on news television didn’t matter to anyone. The Jats ignored Yadav who tried everything – including the dubious tactic of calling himself Salim in Muslim areas. Kejriwal and other AAP seniors left Yadav to fend for him and concentrated elsewhere. Yadav came in fourth from Gurgaon, way behind the BJP, the INLD and the Congress. He has since resented being reduced to a nonentity ...
Apart from the enraged residents of Delhi, the merciless and critical power outages in the National Capital have also given rise to a political blame game. Amid the heat, the Aam Aadmi Party convener, Arvind Kejriwal, who led the Delhi Government for a 49-day period early this year, will seek an appointment to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today to discuss the capital’s acute power crisis.
The day after top Aam Aadmi Party leaders Yogendra Yadav and Manish Sisodia controversially locked horns, the national executive of the party on Saturday met in New Delhi for the second day during which party chief Arvind Kejriwal referred to Yadav as a ‘good friend’, and added that Yadav has raised some very important issues.

Three Mistakes of Arvind Kerjriwal and the Future of India The recent Loksabha election results foretell a lot about India’s immediate future. The fact that Narendra Modi was elected as PM doesn't surprise me. The fact that the NDA alliance, and even BJP on its own, scored a decisive majority surprises me only a little. What surprises me most is the failure of Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal. It scares me a lot more than it surprises me! Kejriwal tried to implement a political agenda based on certain ideologies- e.g. he was most vocal about the corruption that had crippled our nation. However, he did suffer from the same errors in judgment like most of his ideological predecessors (and I include Mr. M. K. Gandhi here). The first assumption he made was perhaps the most flawed. He assumed that people will vote out of logic and rationality- that if you present facts and evidence and point towards rationally formulated conclusions, majority of population will vote out of reason. This ...
For the first time in the history of India people are interrogating issues of HRD Minister and her qualifications, Article 370 and many more just within two days...Credit goes to Aam Aadmi Party which acted as platform to awaken people of India. They may have many some bad sides... Now people have started to ask questions even with BJP.. Professor Yogendra Yadav once mentioned it during his maiden speech in Jawaharlal Nehru University at Tapti Hostel JNU over a topic " THE IDEA OF INDIA, VERSION 2++ ". Thanks to Arvind Kejriwal that now people are keeping a tight vigil over the performance of Govt. They compelled the people of India to take interest in politics. Unfortunately he earned very much ire due to "proper communication link with the competence level of Aam Aadmi ".. but surely he deserves the credit... Thanks
The Delhi High Court on Monday agreed to hear a petition seeking immediate release of Arvind Kejriwal, who was sent to jail after he refused to furnish bail bond in a criminal defamation complaint against him. The petition submitted that he has been “illegally sent to judicial custody” on a wrong premise of law. The plea was mentioned by advocate Prashant Bhushan before a bench of justices B.D. Ahmed and S. Mridul which said it would be listed tomorrow for hearing before the court concerned. The petition challenged the 21 and 23 May orders of a magisterial court remanding Kejriwal in judicial custody for not furnishing bail bond in the criminal defamation complaint filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari, saying the same was not mandatory and he should have been allowed to give a written undertaking instead. The habeas corpus plea, filed on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, has made Gadkari and the Delhi Government as parties. A writ of habeas corpus is used to bring a pri ...
Arvind Kejriwal's allegations against Nitin Gadkari -- Source Wikipedia Activist turned politician Arvind Kejriwal, leader of AAP (Aam Aadmi Party), on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, in New Delhi alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president had colluded with NCP's Ajit Pawar to exploit farmers in Maharashtra's Vidarbha region. He made these allegations in a press conference. Kejriwal also informed that the information against the BJP president had been obtained through an RTI by his colleague Anjali Damania. Asking whether the BJP was an opposition party or acting in concert with the government, Kejriwal said Gadkari was involved in land and irrigation scams in Maharashtra's Land. "Gadkari took away land of the farmers and their water. He has sympathy for the contractors but not the farmers," Kejriwal said. Arvind Kejriwal also accused that this allegation was political in nature and generally political parties make these allegations but Nitin Gadkari is on opinion that this matter was of person ...
Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and former Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has issued the following statement to the media on May 21, Wednesday: “During the Lok Sabha Elections, we went to many parts of the country and met people from all walks of life. We were told that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) consists of good and courageous people, who can take on rich and powerful to expose their misdeeds. During the campaign, however, we also realised that a large number of people were quite angry with us for having quit the Delhi Government. We were asked why did we leave the government ? We were also asked why did we go away ? This also gave our political opponents an opportunity to spread misinformation about us. After considering all aspects, I apologise to the people, who wanted the AAP government in Delhi to continue. Our party wanted to know the reasons for the anger of the people against us and we were told that during 49 days in office, the AAP government had reduced the power tariffs by half, ...

With due respect to all my friends ( that includes my wife and sister among others) whose patience I am testing by supporting Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party, Guys, I know I am sounding as if I am supporting Arvind blindly. And I also know that you are all well meaning and I should listen to you. To me, Congress and BJP represent what is wrong with Indian Politics. Both have rewarded corrupt people, Both have criminals in system, Both have promoted dynasty rule and both have instigated communalism at one point or other. BJP may seem a tad better in economic developmental parameters but it is no distinction really given that the comparison is with the scums of this earth. H ...
Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of India's new anti-corruption Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is arrested in connection with a defamation case.
Arvind Kejriwal and AAP must now stop making a mockery of themselves. They are embarrassing the people of Delhi who voted for them in the assembly elections. The Aam Aadmi Party lost its head when it won 29 seats in the Delhi Assembly. After running a lusterless government for 49 days, they decided that they have a 'wave' going in their favor across the country and that they should shun Delhi, which is far too less a fish, and make a killing at the LS polls and perhaps Kejriwal could become the PM. In less than six months they managed to find 446 candidates from across the country for the LS elections, more than the congress and the BJP! They ended up winning just 4 seats, and 421 candidates lost their deposits. Some people argue that the BJP had won just 2 seats in their first ever LS polls so we should not write AAP off in a hurry. True, but the BJP had not won 29 seats in Delhi Assembly just months before they won 2 seats in LS. There was no BJP wave at that time. The BJP has grown patiently over the . ...

Dear supporters, First of all, you people should stop spreading lies that your leader was sent to jail for accusing Gadkari, he got bail for that but he was sent to jail for not complying with a courts order. Irony is that the head of so called Aam Aadmi Party was expecting khaas aadmi treatment. Please grow up, do something commendable to catch media limelight, Even those who voted for you in assembly elections have started discerning your cheap media attention tactics. The new PK got TRP so you people became jealous huh? And yes stop circulating misleading messages among your brainwashed salaried members, this is one of the messages that's being circulated today: "Arvind Kejriwal ko Tihar bheja. Gadkari ka khulasa karne par Jail. Is anyay k khilaf apni awaz buland kare. Sabhi sathi aj sham 6 baje, Tihar,Gate 3 pahuche.Fwd" So still doing politics of disturbing law and order and spreading anarchy.
All that is needed to stop Arvind Kejriwal's nautanki once and for all is cancellation of registration of the Aam Aadmi Party. Let's see how much appetite to serve the people would still be left in him.
Putting Arvind Kejriwal in jail in the Gadkari's defamation case will boomerang on the BJP. Arvind is perhaps the first person - a "whistle blower" on corruption - who has been jailed. The international best practice is to have the "Whistle Blower Protection Law". Rahul Gandhi had submitted that Bill in the parliament but the opposition didn't let it through in time. Although it has been passed by Parliament and has received President's assent, it is not effective yet. Had it been effective today, no one could have arrested Arvind Kejriwal. It is strange that the person who blew the whistle on corruption is in jail and the person who is accused of corruption is the complainant in this case. I am sure Arvind won't furnish bond even on the next hearing on Friday. This will surely mobilize aam Aadmi Party. Like it not, he will now be back in people's mind space.

Why the Aam Aadmi is doing balle balle in Punjab Along her 2,500-km election train journey through India, Supriya Sharma finds that AAP has chosen candidates in Punjab with reputations for being independent and deeply engaged. Voters are responding enthusiastically. "Kejriwal is a bhagauda. He was given a chance to run the government but he ran away." On trains, in buses, at streets corners and in village gatherings, this was the most commonly heard sentiment about the Aam Aadmi Party and its leader – until the train crossed into the fields of Punjab. The landscape shifted and so did political sentiment. "Koi chaprasi bhi apna daftar nahi chadhta inhaane CM di kursi chadd di. Even a peon does not give up his job, he gave up the position of the Chief Minister." Charanjit Singh, an old man in a village near Patiala, who identified himself as a supporter of the Akali Dal, spoke with admiration for Arvind Kejriwal's “sacrifice”. Sacrifice appeals to the Punjabi psyche, said Satwant Singh, a Left activis ...

AAP proposes to form govt in Delhi New Delhi: The meeting of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) demanded the revival of their government resigned after 49 days of rule. After its drubbing in Lok Sabha Elections in the National Capital, some AAP MLAs on Saturday mooted the proposal for the party to once again form the government in Delhi, with support from either the BJP or Congress. At a meeting of its top leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, some AAP legislators, who claimed to be around 20 in number, are said to have conveyed to the leadership that the party should make a fresh attempt at forming the government. Sources said party MLA Rajesh Garg mooted the idea while describing Kejriwal's decision to resign in February after 49 days in power as one of the major reasons behind AAP's poor showing in the city in Lok Sabha polls. The Rohini MLA is believed to have said that the party should consider forming the government so that people may benefit from the move. "This proposal was greeted positively by some 20 AAP MLAs ...
WHY DID AAP LOSE SO BADLY? Leaders blame quitting Delhi Govt, poor ticket selection for AAP's poor show Leaders Accuse The Troika Of `Bossism' As the disastrous outcome of the Lok Sabha Elections sinks in among the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), at least two founding members blamed it on the troika of Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. Poor ticket selection and quitting the Delhi Government in haste are being seen by a section of the leadership as the main reasons for the debacle. Political Affairs Committee (PAC) member Ilyas Azmi accused the troika of “bossism'', saying it had destroyed the party's chances. “I don't know how far it is true but allegations were made that tickets were sold. That damaged us. Also PAC was just a rubber stamp, all the decisions on ticket selection were already taken by Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia,'' he said. Other senior leaders said the “deserter'' tag had stuck to the party . Ghaziabad candidate Shazia Ilmi said, “Across the country whereve ...

Varanasi: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal had vowed to defeat Narendra Modi. But, as the result proved, it was literally a cakewalk for the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate, who defeated the former Delhi Chief Minister by 3.37 lakh votes. Congress candidate Ajay Rai was relegated to the third spot. Party vice-President Rahul Gandhi's impressive last-day roadshow failed to prevent his humiliation.
Starting first with Anna Hazare and then Arvind Kejriwal, the "change" in form of social transformation was visible in last Delhi Vidhan Sabha polls. However, it was not visible in the Lok Sabha polls - at least in terms of seats won by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The only silver-lining has been Punjab. Here the AAP, which is not even 90 days old in Punjab has actually matched the performance of the 90 years old, Shiromani Akali Dal and overtaken the 130 year old party, the Congress. AAP won 4 seats - the same as SAD. The Congress won 3 seats and the BJP 2. It is a truly spectacular performance by the AAP.The voting share tells the full story. While the Congress in Punjab polled about 33 per cent votes, the SAD polled about 26 per cent, AAP 24 per cent and BJP about 9 per cent. Since the vote to AAP and the Congress is the anti-incumbency vote, Akali Dal supremos, Parkash Singh Badal and son, Sukhbir Singh Badal, would have a sleepless night - against the SAD-BJP's combined vote share of 35 per cent, the vote ...
With 2.7% vote share Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party may get 0-5 seats, but with 2.1% vote share All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam may end up getting 33-35 seats That's our current electoral system. This is why we need electoral reforms to bring Proportional representation, where a party with a larger vote share has a larger representation in the parliament and vice versa.

Days after Narendra Modi took on Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, the Congress vice-president on Saturday retaliated by campaigning on the last day in this temple town, where the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate is in the fray. Donning a Gandhi cap, the 43-year-old leader flanked by Congress candidate Ajay Rai began his roadshow in a Muslim-dominated Gol Gadda area, waving to supporters who surrounded his vehicle. Mr. Rahul's roadshow follows a massive one conducted by Aam Aadmi Party challenger Arvind Kejriwal on Friday and another one by Mr. Modi the day before. The roadshow is to conclude after about 10 km at Lanka near BHU gate, the same place where Mr. Kejriwal and Mr. Modi had begun their roadshows. In his last push before campaigning ends this evening, Mr. Kejriwal was conducting another roadshow on Saturday, while SP leader and U.P. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also had one scheduled. If i have missed on something, please let me know. Dear Hansrudolf Kamer, Your article ‘Indien- und es funktioniert‘ in The Weltwoche Nr. 18.14 does not give the real picture of the present political scene in India. You are right that the time during the regime of the Gandhi Family (Kongresspartei) was a complete waste of time. (To be precise, it is the worst time in the political history of India during which the biggest corruption scams of India have taken place.)You are also right in saying that Narender Modi, the chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is a hindu nationalist and his false claims about the development of Gujarat are over-hyped. But you are not at all right when it comes to talking about Arvind Kejriwal, the 46 year old leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (Partei des einfachen Mannes). It is absolutely wro ...

CAN WE NOT FIND ANY NON-CORRUPT INDIVIDUALS IN Indian Politics: Pl read through to know some facts about AAP..Is it True?? KHAAS AADMIS PROP UP THE AAM Aadmi Party Tuesday, 25 March 2014 | Sandhya Jain | in Edit Since 2002, the Ford Foundation has poured millions into Indian NGOs controlled by Arvind Kejriwal. As the AAP leader has indulged in coloured revolution-style antics in the country, his godfathers must be uncovered Launching his campaign as the Aam Aadmi Party candidate in East Delhi constituency, Mr Rajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, attacked Mr Narendra Modi and demanded that he ‘come clean on his election funding and subject himself to media scrutiny on his so-called achievements’. Long an academic in the United States and well-known on the capital’s ‘secular circuit’, Mr Gandhi has never been known for links with ‘Hindu’ causes, yet he was twice handpicked by the Vatican to attend its inter-faith meetings at Assisi. The meetings were part of the Vatican’s strategy to ...
Pitching its 'Aam ka mausam' to counter BJP's Modi-wave pitch, Aam Aadmi Party today fielded volunteers wearing T-shirts with mangoes printed on them when party convenor Arvind Kejriwal addressed his first public meeting here in the run-up to Lok Sabha polls.
You should be proud of Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) because : *Political parties should come under RTI = Yes. *Social Audits = Yes *Punishment under Lokpal Bill = Hardest *Disclosure of party donation = Yes. *Party candidates with not a single criminal record. = Checked *No two members of the same family with party ticket. = Checked . . . . . Noo?? then who?? Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party?? Oh... but it is not a big deal.. right??.. I mean how rare these qualities could be at the end of the day and how hard it could be as to follow these points for a political party.. these things are certainly not the primary and most basic conditions of "change".. neahh.. Keep supporting Modi..
More Problems In AAP... More than 500 members from Aam Aadmi Party donned the colours of Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday in the presence of BJP Raipur Lok Sabha Convenor Brijmohan Agrawal. Also present were BJP State Vice-President Sachidanand Upasne, Sunil Soni, Prabha Dubey among others. Discouraged with the performance of Aam Aadmi Party at the national-level, particularly in Delhi and the diminishing popularity of Arvind Kejriwal and senior AAP leaders, and encouraged with the works undertaken by the BJP Government in the State under Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and the BJP policies, they decided to join the party, informed the AAP members who joined BJP
The language used in Delhi's election rhetoric hit a new low on Saturday with singer and composer Vishal Dadlani using the word "k*" to describe the Aam Aadmi Party's opponents during a concert organised by the party in Jantar Mantar. This comes two weeks after television anchor Rajeev Laxman had used another abusive word "h*" to describe Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde while campaigning for AAP candidate Shazia Ilmi in R K Puram constituency. If on that occasion, Shazia was seen standing next to him, laughing, on Saturday, Dadlani used the word in the presence of senior leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas and Manish Sisodia. Dadlani was one of the several musicians and singers who had come to perform in a concert "Jeet Ki Goonj" organised by AAP. On stage, Dadlani changed the lyrics of Kishore Kumar classic "Bachna Ae Haseeno", to "Bachna Ae K*, lo AAP aa gaya". The other participants in the concert included the band Agni, Ranvir Shorey and Rabbi Shergill, among others. At a rally in Shazia Il ...
Leading Indian anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal has grabbed the eyeballs in the run-up to the upcoming General Election by announcing his decision to take on the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party's PM candidate Narendra Modi. The two are fighting over Varanasi, the ancient, most sacred city for Hindus in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Mr Kejriwal made a spectacular political debut in December. His party won 28 seats in Delhi's State Assembly, propelling him to the post of Chief Minister in the capital. But he was only to be in office for 49 days, resigning amid a row over an anti-corruption bill. When Mr Kejriwal first broke off from his mentor, veteran campaigner Anna Hazare, to formally enter politics in 2012, many said he would find the going tough without Mr Hazare's support. But, he proved his detractors wrong, as the Delhi election results showed - his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or the Common Man's Party won 28 seats out of the 70 seats on offer. His aim now is to replicate on the nati ...
Dear Friend, I am writing this mail to you to share few things related to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). As some talks are going on related to few issues. I have explained them one by one below: Q.1 Why Aam Aadmi Party against BJP or Modi? Is AAP is B team of Congress? Ans: AAP is neither B team of Congress or BJP. It is an alternative to present politics. AAP is nor against Congress or BJP but against corrupt, communal, dynastic politics, etc. AAP is raising its voice against both of them, as both of the parties are corrupt. Both are giving tickets to criminals, if criminals go to Lok Sabha will they ever make strong laws against criminals? In delhi elections they said AAP would help congress, but the fact is that 3 term CM Shiela Dixit was defeated by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. And now Dr. Kumar Vishwas is fighting against Rahul Gandhi of Congress in Amethi. And Archana Srivastav is fighting against Sonia Gandhi. Some say that Arvind Kejriwal should fight against Sonia Gandhi not against Modi, if they fight against . ...
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party or AAP, was slapped by an auto-rickshaw driver while campaigning.. Is this is a right way people never had slapped the congress member who are involved in the corruption.but slapping a man who want to change Indian Politics... Who had let all the leader to understand the power of Common Man..
First they will throw false allegations on you, after that they will pelt stones, inks and etc etc and ultimately you get punched or slapped and then you go to him asking politely for the reasons. Arvind Kejriwal, many who simply don't understand you term you as Khujliwal, Traitor and blah blah. Hilarious spoofs are made which blows my mind. Well, on the lighter side that is where people of India get united whether a BJP,Indian National Congress, Aam Aadmi Party or any other party supporter enjoy and get entertained on the same ground. Still at that point you seem to be successful in uniting India. The thing to understand is what you have been trying to do was an impossible task a few years back. But now the way politics is changing is because of your dedication towards it. Now, it might take 5-10 years to exactly make your haters or ignore-rs really understand and support you. I am sure the way you are marching ahead with your grit and guts will surely change the political scene of this country and India w ...

People, i really don't understand what Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal have done wrong? he hurt your sentiments because he left Delhi's CM post? the reason was very clear, he said that before coming to power that he would resign if congress wont let him make the Jan Lok Pal Bill, that's what he did! is it wrong to take a stand on what he said? If anyone has any problem with him, then please comment why. i really want to know what point am i missing.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched its manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls highlighting issues like Janlokpal Bill, 33 per cent reservation for women in parliament and decriminalise *** sex. Releasing the manifesto in Delhi, party leader Arvind Kejriwal said the foundation of the manifesto was on swaraj or rule of the people. The document which explains how swaraj can bring an end to corruption and ensure accessible justice for the people touches upon education, health, economy, ecology, social justice, sports, culture, media and national security. The party says it will facilitate robust economic growth along with holistic well-being. The manifesto says AAP will strive to create world-class infrastructure with private partnership in infrastructure development. On the education front, the manifesto promises the withdrawal of the controversial four-year undergraduate programme in Delhi University. The document says the level of education in government s ...
Well meaning Aam Aadmi Party supporters will be greatly disappointed when they realize they have been used to further a man's agenda. Consider his track record. Tata Steel - Left Indian Revenue Service - Left India Against Corruption - Left Anna Hazare - used and left. Govt formation - 49 days and quit. He now makes it appear as if you are not an AAP supporter, you must be for corruption. Arvind Kejriwal is proof that we Indians look for and believe in miracles even when reality stares us in the face. Read " Animal Farm" my fellow Indians - Arvind Kejriwal and Co are the pigs in that story.
New Delhi: Mohammad Zakir Hussein, father of the person who slapped Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said his son's actions have shamed him. Hussein said that his family's dire financial circumstances were exploited to bribe his son into attacking Kejriwal. Kejriwal was slapped by a man in Dakshinpuri in Delhi. The police identified him as Abdul Wahid, a resident of the Batla House area in Jamia Nagar. The incident took place when Kejriwal was travelling in an open jeep during a roadshow. Here is an excerpt from the interview:
Hello friends, It has been a while since I've written anything "political" but I think now might be the perfect time to speak my views. Please note that although these are my personal opinions and we live in a democratic country, you are free to judge me and comment on this. Over the last few months, there have been a lot of negative media attraction focusing on the Aam Aadmi Party. It’s good that politicians these days are getting a lot of media attention and wrongdoings are being highlighted but unfortunately, this information comes with a lot of ifs and buts and most of it is abstracted out. There is a theory called the "False memory" theory which talks about how a single piece of information when propagated from different sources can completely change your previous memory or notion which you might have gathered over years and was a product of "true facts" and sources. I feel that many of Delhi voters are having this problem, especially after Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of the Chief Minist ...
A muslim guy named Abdul Fasi punched Arvind Kejriwal twice. AK49 says - "woh to maarenge, unka dharma hai maarna" .. such a communal statement by AK49!!! and he claims to be secular!!! why must muslims vote for Aam Aadmi Party, when AK49 makes such statement about "unka dharm"

I have always accused AAP/Kejriwal of making accusations with an absolute dearth of legitimate sources. Lemme list some. 1. AAP MLA Madan Lal claims BJP offered Rs 20 crore to ditch AAP. 0 evidences. 2. "Shiela Dixit will go to jail, we have a 300 page documented proof" Forget the jail time, they didn't even file an FIR, enabling her to become a governor. 3. Arvind Kejriwal releases a list of 'corrupt' leaders . Declared by who? 4. Narendra Modi', 'Rahul Gandhi' now Aam Aadmi Party members acc. to fake list by AAP.( Kejriwal claimed that a section of media has been told to cover Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi and "defame" him. Will be 'jailed'. Evidences? Hah. 6. Modi a ‘property dealer’ for Ambani, Adani and Tatas, 7. Kejriwal accuses BJP, Congress of selling gas reserves to Mukesh Ambani. 8. Kejriwal accuses RIL, Congress of manipulating gas prices time he even went the limits to claim the same gas is being sold to Bangladesh for $2. He withheld the unit of sales. Which is different for India and Ba ...
As an Aam Aadmi Party supporter, you must have been asked a hundred times, why Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Delhi Chief Minister? Well, here is the answer. AAP got only 28 of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly election. Still, the Lt Governor invited Arvind to form the g...
Secrets of the ‘M’pire by Pheku India By Niranjan Takle Why is NaMo silent on the allegations of shady deals under the 'Gujarat Model' of development? Rhetoric is rhetoric, and reality is reality, and never the twain shall meet. This seems to be the maxim of Indian Politics. The people of the nation, too, have got accustomed to the swirls of rhetoric, and the whirls of reality. This time, some say, there will be change. That there is a wave. But, is the coast clear? Narendra Damodardas Modi has a lot to answer. The Ganga, as if she has not been polluted enough, has been witnessing a lot of muckraking these days. Taking on the challenge-and the ink and eggs-head-on, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal is contesting against Modi in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. And he has been on a rat-a-tat mode against Modi and his corporate corps. Modi, who usually trained his guns on the shehzada and his shenanigans, called Kejriwal “AK-49” and accused him of being a Pakistani agent. THE WEEK did a reality check ...
CONGRESS AAP KA BAAP HAI: Venkaiah Naidu INDORE: Terming Congress as the father of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), former national president of BJP Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday said, "AAP ka baap Congress hai." Alleging understanding between AAP and Congress, Naidu said Congress is in power for the last one decade, people are angry with it and every party is fighting against Congress in this election but Arvind Kejriwal is not ready to fight Congress as for him BJP is the main opponent just like Congress. Naidu said when Kejriwal has formed his party it emerged as a new hope and alternate to Congress but in the last three months, especially after forming government in Delhi, with the support of Congress, AAP has lost its credential and acceptability among people. "Now people see BJP as only hope and party will get overwhelming support from people in the election," said Naidu. He said more party will come to NDA after election. Taking a dig at Kerjirwal, he said media made him headline after Delhi election but soon ...

The BJP and the Congress cannot escape the joint responsibility of increasing the hardships of the people of Delhi by having connived to put an end to the relief provided by the Aam Aadmi Party government, which had subsidised electricity bills and provided free water for three months. The AAP had promised to audit the accounts of private power distribution companies and slash electricity tarrifs along with providing upto 700 litres of water free to the people of Delhi before the assembly elections. After the formation of its minority government led by Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP fulfilled all these promises immediately after assuming office on December 28, 2013. Rattled by the new government’s performance, which was implementing all its election promises one after the other, the BJP and the Congress hatched a conspiracy to disrupt the functioning of this pro-people government. Both the parties joined hands in the State Assembly on February 14 to defeat the AAP government’s Janlokpal Bill and openly decl ...
AAM Aadmi Party THE SOLE MESSIAH FOR INDIA ….. 1- Aam Aadmi Party is claiming to punish opponents & TV media & journalists if voted to power, which is just blue moon. 2- AAM Aadmi Party was sworn to govern Delhi but its leader Arvind Kejriwal fled to campaign against his opponents. 3- Only AAP knows what is right & if you do not follow then their pet line” next generation will not forgive you”. AAP are sole owner of future Indian generation. 4- These AAP anarchists seen to be hoping to govern a multi-dimensional India. 5- AAP may play spoiler but for sure they are not substantive player. 6- AAP nominated candidates are running away & returning seats, as AAP wants them to “JUGAD”, for expenses, pay Arvind also. Clearly in news broadcast. 7- Arvind Kejriwal has no shortage of funds & he is splurging like a king. 8- Most AAP Lok Sabha candidates are not Aam Aadmi but filthy rich in all types of money & Arvind is no exception. AAP KA DHOKHA, IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES ONLY….. VOTE FOR BJP & NAREND ...

Aam Aadmi Party and it’s Pakiphilia - When we look at the support emanating from Pakistani media, political parties, anti-India Activists and groups for Arvind Kejriwal and AAP as well as the recent statements, views, ideologies and background of the core thinkers, policy makers and strategists of AAP, we find an uncanny similarity. It puzzles me no end that both of these two constituents have a similar view on Kashmir, which is one of the most important issues in India’s integrity, sovereignty, security, External Affairs and also political spheres. So when I did some study and went deeper into this puzzle, a Pandora’s Box opened before me. And what prompted me to go deeper was the controversy of the image of a map of India in AAPs official website, which showed parts of Kashmir in Pakistan and at the same time news of ever increasing donations and support from Pakistan to AAP as well as known India baiters inside India aligning with AAP. Below is the content of my study based on hard facts prese .. ...

Please read my article "Is Anti-Modism the only Strategy?" and share your opinions. Is 2014 General Election becoming the reverse of 1971 Election? Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party claimed that they came into existence to fight corruption. The strategy was to image themselves as Anti-corruption crusaders and occupy the space of a change agent. The anti-corruption tag could earn them some advantage against the Congress but not exactly against the BJP. The party has now changed track. In the past few weeks the issues of corruption, real or fictional, have taken a back seat .In any case AAP’s issues were never the 2G spectrum allocation or the Coal Block allotments. They concentrated on retail corruption issues in day to day life. The AAP has switched gear from corruption to an Anti-Modi emphasis. The AAP leaders now defy the Economic reality to argue that Gujarat has not progressed. The farcical drama being enacted with regard to contesting against Modi at Varanasi is being done in order to ensu .. ...
It is amusing how self-righteous the Indian media can get over a so-called threatening admonition from Arvind Kejriwal. If I was in Kejriwal's shoes, I would be as angry and upset as he is with sections of the fourth estate, some of the electronic media in particular. In no General Election in my over three decades in journalism have I seen such brazen targeting of one politician and one political outfit as I see now in the case of Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). It is very evident that there is a conscious decision to blackout Kejriwal as much as possible but pounce on him if he slips. So if the AAP rallies outside the BJP headquarters in Delhi - quite unnecessarily, in my view - it was made out as if a terror attack had taken place! Not only was one-sided blame heaped on the AAP when TVs showed stones and more hurled out of the BJP office, but the physical attack on Kejriwal's car in Gujarat was either blacked out or reported almost in passing. Would the media have behaved similarly if Modi's ca ...

Why are so many people so reluctant to give up on Arvind Kejriwal? The simple answer is 'Narendra Modi', or rather the fear of Narendra Modi, says T V R Shenoy. Krodhaad bhavati sammohah, Sammohaat smrtivibhramah; Smrtibhramshaad buddhinaasho, Buddhinaashaat pranashyati. From anger arises bewilderment, from bewilderment loss of memory; and from loss of memory the destruction of intelligence, and from the destruction of intelligence he perishes. -- From Dr Radhakrishnan's exquisite translation of the Bhagvad Gita. Anger is the Aam Aadmi Party's stock in trade, but passion is a poor mistress; has the crusaders' unfocused resentment derailed the battle against corruption? If so, much of the blame must lie at the party boss's door. Arvind Kejriwal started his political career by tapping into the middle class's resentment against corruption. But that same middle class -- this is a global truth, not one limited to India -- is equally clear that it supports the forces of law and order, that it cares about fiscal ...
The Kerji files: Anarchist or anti-national? Introduction: Arvind Kejriwal’s dubious funding sources There is no denying the fact that Arvind Kejriwal, a newly commissioned secular anarchist romping across India’s political theatre has confounded many analysts and political pundits. His emergence as a motor-mouth political know-all requires an in-depth analysis. By now most Indians know that Kejriwal and his political gorilla, Aam Aadmi Party, have been funded and sired by the Central Intelligence Agency of the USA through its powerful financial arm, the Ford Foundation. Even so, the truth about the funding of AAP by some foreign-based anti-India forces has not fully reached the crores of marginalized hoi polloi, trapped in hunger and penury, across rural India. There has been media spotlight on an NGO Kabir, run by Kejriwal and his closest confidante Manish Sisodia and other camp followers. It is alleged that Kejri’s Kabir had received a financial largesse totaling $ 3,97,000 as g ...
What the AAP government achieved in 49 days ? The curtains came down on Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi on Friday after it failed to table the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Assembly due to BJP & Congress Oppositions, ending 49 days of rule. The following are the achievements of the short-lived government: - Free supply of 667 litres of water daily for households with metered connections. - Fifty per cent subsidy in electricity bills for households which consume up to 400 units of power a month. - No red or blue beacons on official cars, bringing an end to 'VIP culture' - All government schools surveyed for infrastructure deficiency and given Rs.1 lakh each for immediate repairs. - Some 24,000 people exempted from paying 50 percent of their power bills during the period they took part in an AAP campaign against inflated electricity bills. - Launched anti-corruption and nursery admission helplines. - New permits given to 5,500 autos. - Registered first information reports (FIR) against ...
I do not know if Captain GR Gopinath, the founder Air Deccan and a pioneer in the low-cost airline sector, is still with Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party. However, his article on the website of ndtv.com must be read by Arvind. It is a good advice from a practical industrialist. Arvind can go against an industrialist or business house without comparing one with others in competition, and then he must take the case to a legal conclusion and must not do it just for enhancing his own popularity as the leftists do. While naming Anil Ambani as almost villain in Delhi electricity distribution, he gave a certificate of good conduct to Tatas. In the same way, Arvind named Adani and Ambani, the senior one in Gujarat without naming other big houses. As a politician, Arvind must understand that at least today the country needs more of these industrialists rather than persons like him or Mamta Banerjee or the former Ruling Party of West Bengal.
The Curious Case of Arvind Kejriwal - The rise of Arvind Kejriwal is an interesting development in the current Indian social and political scene. But when we analyse his journey from the time of his leaving a Govt. job to a social activist to forming Aam Aadmi Party to the chair of the Chief Minister of Delhi (and also leaving it) to his foray into the next Lok Sabha election – we find that for all his purist rhetoric, idealist posture and talks of brining systemic change to Indian Politics and governance, ironically in many ways, he exactly mirrors the qualities he criticises in his opponents. Arvind Kejriwal is a clever strategist and an ambitious & opportunist politician, who is ready to do anything to stay in the news for free publicity and increase his appeal nationwide. That is how he had built one of the most highly visibility movement in recent Indian history and used it for fulfilling his own political ambition. For all his talks of extreme transparencies, virtuous processes and absolute truths ...
Arvind Kejriwal's right fight. "The Hindu" News Papers, Updated: March 11, 2014 01:17 IST Kejriwal is who he is because he has the audacity not to want to do political business. If there is an element of exaggeration in what he says, it does not matter because electoral politics is shaped to a great extent by public perception With his decision to go gale speed at Mr. Narendra Modi, the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Arvind Kejriwal, has buried his own ambiguous past, and, in a first for any anti-corruption campaign, chosen to fight the "right" rather than fight on the same side as the "right." All of India's anti-corruption mobilisations have targeted the Congress exclusively as if there were no transgressions by those on the "right." The rightward tilt has been a feature of every anti-graft movement, from 1971 through 1974-1975, 1977 and 1989. If in 1971, the Swatantra Party, the Congress (Organisation) and the Jan Sangh banded together to form a "Grand Alliance" against Indira Gandhi, in 1974, ...

A LAUGHABLE COMPARISON Kejriwal and Mahatma Gandhi similar? So silly ( Agencies): Given that author and Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Rajmohan Gandhi has joined the Aam Aadmi Party and is the party's candidate for the Lok Sabha election from East Delhi constituency, it is natural for him to plunge into eulogies for his leader Arvind Kejriwal. But he has gone overboard in drawing comparisons between Mahatma Gandhi and Mr Kejriwal. It has done no good to his reputation — and the analogy is certainly a demeaning gesture to the Father of the Nation. The “energy” and “hope” that Mr Gandhi sees as the common factor between the movements that Mr Kejriwal and the Mahatma led had been channelled for entirely different purposes. Mahatma Gandhi aroused the consciousness of the masses against being enslaved to the British, while Mr Kejriwal ran a campaign on the fake promise of good governance and combating corruption. As Chief Minister of Delhi, he had every opportunity to make good his assurances to the peopl ...

AAP - AN INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRACY AGAINST INDIA.. It is not Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is being portrayed as the party of Common Man but actually, it’s an international conspiracy hatched by anti-Indian forces within and outside the country. People like Arvind Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan, Anand Kumar, Yogendra Yadav, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Shazia Ilmi, Gopal Rai and Dilip Pandey are Indians but only in name. Who is not aware of their pro-Maoists and pro-radical Islamist credentials? Who is not aware of Medha Patkar credentials and those who constituted the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) and the essentially subversive and anti-system National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM) of which Patkar is an integral and crucial part? Similarly, Kamal A Mitra Chenoy, had been exposed by the writer and rendered clueless in the Jawaharlal Nehru University in a well-attended international seminar more than a decade ago. Others of his ilk, who are in the process of openly making com ...

Now, former bureaucrat Arun Bhatia and realtor DS Kulkarni have waged a war against the party. After being denied ticket, Bhatia has decided to contest from Pune as independent candidate. Although Arun Bhatia is not a member of AAP, he was trying hard to get the party's nomination. Arvind Kejriwal leaves a legacy: In 48 days of his regime, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal threatened to resign at least on three occasions. On 49th day, the stage was set at Aam Aadmi Party's headquarter office located at Hanuman Road near Connaught Place for Kejriwal to announce his resignation. For Delhiites and nation, it was a 49-day long theatre play. Major announcements were made. And on occasions, Kejriwal even backed out. Soon after the election, on December 23, 2013, Kejriwal swore on his children and announced that his party would neither team up with the Congress nor the BJP. But six days later on December 29, he took over as the CM of Delhi, with unconditional support of the Congress party. Before the election, CM had announced that he did not need any security or a government accommodation. He had also said that he and his ministers would use the public transport to commute. New Delhi: The ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi has announced a mega-reward for defaulters on power bills. Those who did not pay for electricity between October 2012 and April 2013 will owe only half of what they were billed. The government will supply the six crores to cover that massive discount. The announcement was made today by senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who said that Delhi residents who supported the party's campaign against allegedly inflated power prices, would be given 50% subsidy and would be charged no penalty. Mr Sisodia, a minister, said that households who did pay their bills during this period will not be refunded. In October 2012, AAP urged residents of Delhi to state in writing that they would not pay their water and power bills to protest against over-priced utilities. 10 lakh people signed the petition; 24,000 defaulted on their bills. AAP, headed by Arvind Kejriwal who is now Chief Minister, promised to combat corruption and make power and water cheaper in its campaign for the D ...

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand People's Party (JPP) today revoked its earlier decision to contest all the parliamentary and assembly seats in Jharkhand in the forthcoming polls and instead decided to support Arvind Kejriwal-headed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). A decision in this regard was taken at the party's Central Committee meeting held in Jamshedpur yesterday, Surya Singh Besra, president of JPP, announced in presence of AAP's Jharkhand Observer, Shailendra Singh. Mr Besra said JPP's decision came after its leadership met with AAP, which has even offered JPP to merge into it, recently. At present, no decision was taken to merge JPP into AAP as it wanted to maintain its political identity, Mr Besra said, adding that JPP will support AAP in Lok Sabha election with the sole intention to change the prevailing system and provide a corruption-free government. Hurt by Anna Hazare's video: Arvind Kejriwal New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that he was saddened by the release of a video footage in which Anna Hazare was seen purportedly questioning the use of India Against Corruption funds for political purpose by Aam Aadmi Party. "BJP and Congress are trying to create differences between us and Annaji," Arvind Kejriwal told mediapersons in Delhi on Wednesday. On the question that AAP was using Anna Hazare's name for political gains in Delhi Assembly elections, Kejriwal said that "We have not used Anna's photo for our campaigns." It seems that other political parties are spreading lies, Kejriwal added. When asked that why AAP is saying that it will pass Anna Hazare's Jan Lokpal Bill once it comes to power in Delhi, Kejriwal replied that if Anna thinks his name should not be used before Jan Lokpal Bill, then AAP will not do so. "It is sad that some people are misleading Anna Hazare," Kejriwal said. "We have heard that fresh revelations about AAP members M ...
If Kejriwal is ‘anarchist’, how about L.K. Advani? VIKRAM MUTHANNA writes: Ever since AAP came to power in Delhi, they seem to have become the favourite punching bag of the media, intellectuals and politicians. Arvind Kejriwal was declared a threat to Indian democracy — an ‘Anarchist.’ Yes a dose of criticism is healthy, but to speak in a tone suggesting that voting for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was a mistake and that they have become a menace is not only unfair, but also a disservice to a nation that is in the threshold of change. It also reeks of fear and propaganda. All this sudden blaming and name calling of AAP by many Indians makes one wonder if most Indians really want a corruption-free India? It seems many want AAP to fix just enough corruption to make life convenient? Convenient enough that they don’t have to bribe to get a Driver’s License, but then not so efficient that it becomes impossible to bribe a Policeman when caught riding without a helmet or jumping traffic lights. Is that wh ...
Power promise to power shock After their promise on reducing electricity tariff charged them to power, the Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a tremendous setback. The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) hiked power tariffs by up to 8 per cent, citing a financial crunch preventing it from fulfilling the AAP's ambitious promise. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has hit back at the regulatory body, even threatening to cancel their licenses.

An Open Letter to AAP’s Yogendra Yadav on Our COMMON Ideology Dear Mr Yogendra Yadav I happened to read your excellent interview published in Mint last week. Of particular interest to me was the question, “What is the ideology of AAP?” I can’t think of anyone better than you to articulate an understandable response to this question. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised to notice that both Centre for Civil Society (CCS), an organisation I work for and admire very much and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have very similar ideologies. I could easily identify at least three main common principles to support my claim. In your own words, The first principle being Swaraj itself. By Swaraj, we mean that in democracy, power has been alienated from the people. While it is called democracy, people wield very little power. So, our fundamental concern is, we want to return that power back to the people by devolving the power, by ensuring direct participation of the people, by doing decision making closer to the people ...
. No raj, only dharna: Why AAP is headed for political suicide . by Lakshmi Chaudhry "It is difficult to prioritize what is the most nauseating part of the whole sordid drama — the action itself, the manner in which the vigilante operation was conducted, the attempt to bypass the law with a show of goondaism, or Arvind Kejriwal’s decision to back the protest and demand suspension of the policemen, in effect for the temerity of standing up to the rampaging minister," writes Santosh Desai in an incisive column on what is Aam Aadmi Party's single biggest political blunder. In one fell swoop -- or in this case, a late night raid -- Somnath Bharti has demolished, in great part, the vast reservoir of goodwill the party enjoyed and relied upon. But to do so, as Desai observes, he needed and received the assistance of first Manish Sisodia -- who held the single most politically tone deaf presser in recent memory -- and then Kejriwal who has doubled down on his minister's vigilantism, making it an excuse for a ...

AAP is not going to destroy India (article by MVJKL member Harbir Singh Nain) Sadanand Dhume's article ‘The candidate who won’t save India’ in the Wall Street Journal expressed understandable concerns; the position taken by India’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on FDI in retail is indeed worrying to those who understand that economic prosperity is essential for social dignity and justice and can only come from efficient free trade. This worry, while legitimate and something the AAP has to address, is misplaced. The AAP and its leader Mr. Arvind Kejriwal are not out to destroy the economy. Far from being an anti-business welfare statist, as his critics have charged, Mr. Kejriwal’s position is a libertarian one: He envisions a roll back of the concentration of power and decision-making placed by the Indian National Congress (or simply Congress) in government hands with the centralized-planning system, which has turned elected officials into rent collectors from business. Many companies conduct their trade ...
Aam Aadmi Party's Laxmi Nagar MLA, Vinod Kumar Binny, 'exposed' Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today morning. Highlights of his press conference... 1. The Aam Aadmi Party has broken the promises which it made to the people before election. 2. Up to 700 litres of free water was promised. But after elections cleverly a clause included; the government said whoever exceeds the limit, even by 1 litre, will have to pay entire amount. 3. The manifesto clearly said power tariff will be cut by 50 per cent. 10 lakh, 52 thousand people followed Arvind's disobedience and did not pay their bills. They were promised bills would be waived off. That promise wasn't kept either. 4. AAP came into power on December 28. Today it has been 19 days. According to their promise, the Jan Lokpal should have been executed. 5. If any other government was in power, AAP would have protested Danish woman gang-rape. You should be ashamed. You said you would make a commando force, you haven't even started discussing it. 6. AAP is always hu ...
RIFT WITHIN AAP: Differences in Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came out in the open on Wednesday with party MLA Vinod Kumar Binny accusing the Delhi Government of deviating from its principles and poll promises and calling Arvind Kejriwal a “liar”.
'A perceptive article from India Today..' The Aam Aadmi Party awakening If a litmus test was needed for the impact of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party's victory in Delhi, it can be found in how political leaders across the land are now falling over each other to show that they're 'somewhat common' too. For once in Indian Politics, it has become fashionable to be ordinary. Ba adab, ba mulhaiza, hoshiyar. Zill-e-ilahi, Shahenshah-e-Hind, raunaq afroz *** rahe hain! (Be respectful, be mindful, be careful. His Royal Highness, the Emperor of India, is gracing us with his presence.) More than half a decade after the abolition of princely states, Indian Politics still functions as an oligarchy, where amplified credentials, size of bungalow, nature of security detail, and length of cavalcade demarcate the ruler from the ruled. On a lazy afternoon in Lucknow on January 4, therefore, bystanders were nonplussed when Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav drove past them with only four cars in tow. Yadav' ...

Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said his party would pass its Jan Lokpal Bill within 15 days of forming the government in Delhi.
Team Cong's Plan AAP to counter Modi. New Delhi: IT IS politically intriguing that Arvind Kejriwal- led Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) would be backed by the Congress to form government in Delhi. The last thing Kejriwal would have expected was any kind of support from the same party he had vanquished at the hustings. So why was the Congress so magnanimous? It seems the Congress poll strategists have realised that the party is to face massive debacle in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections. With that bleak picture in mind, all that the Congress folks can do is to minimise the victory margin of its principal adversary and BJPs Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi. For Congress, propping up AAP serves that game plan. The Congress ploy to promote a foe to counter the principal rival is nothing new. In Maharashtra, for example, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) made inroads into BJP- Shiv Sena bastions and the saffron alliance lost 10 Lok Sabha seats to Raj Thackeray- led party in the 2009 General Elections. Inte ...
Why Arvind Kejriwal is good for India. Arvind Kejriwal is a much maligned man, which is surprising given that he's pulled off one the most improbable and unexpected victories in a long while. His methods are unconventional. Whoever heard of asking voters before taking a rival’s support? Can we really cut electricity bills by 50%? I don’t know. If we can have one of the lowest telecom tariff structures in the world here (driven largely by govt intervention), I guess it’s theoretically possible to lower electricity bills through govt. intervention. Unless we give it a try, we won’t really know. I’m not sure if people will be better off if Aam Aadmi Party succeeds. But I’m pretty sure that people will be worse off if AAP fails. Here’s why. Arvind Kejriwal’s success is not interesting because of his Direct Democracy model. It’s interesting because he has proved that ANYONE can win elections and you don’t need a huge amount of money to pull it off. That’s a POWERFUL thing to demonstrate i ...

On Wednesday Delhi Government announced the anti-corruption the helpline number- (011) 27357169 to help the Common Man to lodge complaint corrupt practices in any wing of the state government on the helpline number. On Thursday, Kejriwal said this number will be replaced with a four-digit number to be made public on Friday. That said, a shortage of attendants to take the calls was felt – only 824 calls could be responded to. What I like about Aam Aadmi Party and what Bharatiya Janata Party , Indian National Congress and other parties ignored is no focus on details which can be highlighted to showcase concern to Mango Man ... Take for instance: Real cost of elections is huge. No one can deny it. Everyone knows how funding is availed by political parties. But, BJP, COngress and others chose to just show it as cash donations - giving room for suspicions of corruption. Arvind Kejriwal being a former IT officer, did things smartly. He showed it as small donations in cheques with list of donors on his website. Now tell me, when Aadhar Cards can be procured by Bangladeshis, how much time will it take to have PAN Nos and Aadhar Cards and Ration Cards of Narendra Kejriwal, Narendra Gandhi, Narendra Vadra, Rahul Kejriwal, Rahul Vadra, Arvind Gandhi, Arvind Modi, Arvind Vadra, and so on and so forth?? A letter from Admiral L Ramdas Lara to Arvind Kejriwal, which captures the sentiment of thousands of AAP supporters who are not physically in Delhi today. - December 27 2013 Dear Arvind and all in AAP Delhi, I am truly sorry that I am unable to be with you all at Ram Leela Maidan on this historic day due to some unavoidable circumstances. But I will surely be with you in spirit. I would like to share an overwhelming feeling of exhilaration - similar to my emotions on Aug 15 1947, when Lord Mountbatten hauled down the Union Jack for the last time in India, to be replaced by the Tricolor - our Tiranga. I was a young boy of 14 then, full of hope and dreams, with fire in my belly, and ready to contribute all that it takes for my country and my people. Gandhiji had clearly outlined a focus for the development of India and her people. Over the years we seemed to have lost our way. We the people of India have waited several decades to witness the beginning of this second Freedom struggle. Aam Aadmi Party, under ...

BJP accuses the Aam Aadmi Party of "betraying the people of Delhi" after Arvind Kejriwal agreed to form a minority government with the Congress.
AAP set to rule Delhi, Kejriwal to be CM Aadmi Party (AAP) founder leader Arvind Kejriwal was Monday set to be Delhi's Chief Minister after announcing that his party will form a government with Congress backing. After five days of a referendum when people were asked to say 'yes' or 'no' on whether AAP should take power, Kejriwal announced that an overwhelming majority in the capital had given their thumbs up.
Best of luck to Arvind Kejriwal & his whole Aam Aadmi Party crew for going forward with forming government in Delhi with the Indian National Congress support. It was all a pre-planned political game since the very beginning. AAP has continuously abused its unconditional support from public, and conditional support from its partner Congress, but India knows by now about this unholy alliance.
